Upon entering the spire, Poke was relived to feel a drastic top in temperature thanks to the lack of sunlight blaring through. But as soon as she had stepped inside she felt her insides gnaw together. The place had been split into floating rooms, each of them moving around the area. She could see the insides of the rooms were also changing, doors disappearing and appearing at will.
Below the rooms was nothing, just a drop that seemed to span on forever. Normally this wouldn't concern the dragon, but she had a hunch that flying was prohibited here, as well as the rest of her natural abilities. Which just meant she would have to foot it for now.

Room 7 - Room 5
Moving between the rooms wasn't too difficult; they were close enough for her to jump between them when the doors allowed her too. But as she quickly hopped through each one she felt something throw her backwards, the dragon landing in a previous room.
"Jack dammit." She groaned, sitting up and glaring at the offending...whatever it was that did it. It was going to be a pain to get to the top wasn't it?

This was the most uneventful corridor ever. Nice breather, but getting a liiiiittle boring. At least he was getting in some exercise where his normal jog would have gone.

Jack spoke too soon. As he swept through the bland hallway, a curious impulse came over him. Owain was drawn to it as well. (( Can it infiltrate your thoughts? Is there sentience here? )) he wondered.
Jack meant to say "No, it didn't feel oppressive so much as out of left field." What came out instead was, "What loses its head in the morning and gets it back at night?"
Both of them were quiet: one stunned, one trying to contemplate the answer as if the riddle was quite organic to the conversation. Then Owain remembered he could pretty much read Jack's mind and laughed at himself.
(( A pillow! Ah, dear one, this is one odd little curse, but enjoyable nevertheless! ))
His hunter just grumbled.

And at last, the end of the awful maze! Jack would have made a snappy comment about hte mostly uneventful trip, but he decided not to chance itin case the riddle curse was still up. Owain tried to prompt him several times, stifling giggles at his hunter's growls as they left.

Room 7 - Room 5
Hopping to her feet, Poke tried again to move into the next two rooms, only to be pushed back to where she just was.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" She shouted. Her tempter was already short due to the hot weather and talking to the professor, she wasn't about to deal with unforeseen forces stopping her from going forwards.
In frustration she punched the wall, which did jack all, but it did make her knuckles ache from punching the hard surface.

The next thing that came out of her mouth was a string of courses, as poke went to punching the walls a few more times to vent her anger after being pushed back a third time. Again this did nothing but make her hands sore, but at least she felt a little bit calmer.

For a while she sat, her legs still a little sore from falling but soon enough she was once again back to moving. Maple silently passed between doorways but something seemed to be in her way and she found herself getting pushed back from one room into another.

Just his luck. Jake found himself in another strange place, and the shifting room did nothing to ease the weariness that seemed to grow inside of him. He held tightly Sherry's hand tightly, afraid that he would lose her if he let go.GrnGriff Feel free to move on without him!

Room 1 -> 7 -> 5
He found himself in a new place, with new challenges to overcome. This task seemed more daunting to him then the first that he encountered, at least, to him it certainly seemed that way. Moving rooms. Trap doors. Room's that could be leading you forward or back......
Frowning, he got on his way, and found himself quite quickly going for a bit of a topsy turvy ride, starting with a quick jump into a room that seemed to be taking him in the right direction, followed by a trap door that sent him to a room that went back to other way, one which he landed quite hard on his a** in.
Standing up, he rubbed his rear end, his face falling into a deadpan look.

Her next attempt proved more successful in getting past the force that kept pushing her back, allowing the dragon to hop through the rooms and into the next one. Aside from that one thing though, the rooms appeared barren with nothing inside. Not to mention that everything looked parallel at the moment. Shouldn't be some sort of stairs or something?

Wrath apparently liked it in this room, because he couldn't seem to leave. When he tried, he only ended up right back inside of it again.
This was going to take awhile.
