The second you step through this door, you notice how terrifying it is. It is a set of twenty-five rooms, suspended individually in space. Each one has just one door, and the doors seem to shift and change as they wish. The rooms themselves shift and move around as well, and room you are currently standing in suddenly lurches and shifts position with another. A door opens up, just in time for you to see behind you a new room materialize with perhaps some familiar faces behind you. It is very easy to get lost, even if you stay close to someone else. It is hard to tell when the rooms and doors will appear, though it is best not to get lost.
The fall below seems infinite. You can hear a strange ticking below, as if invisible cogs are waiting in the abyss.
OOC [ THE CORRIDOR OF TIME]Welcome to the corridor of time! Due to the rooms that shift, wobble, change, and the trap doors that can form right under your character and drop them right into another room, you can never quite tell where you are. Your goal is to get to the exit room. All players start off at the room marked 1. From there it is your goal to get to room 25. - Please mark ALWAYS AT THE TOP OF YOUR POST what room number you are in. - This plays like a board game oocly. Everyone starts at 1. Roll 1d6 to navigate the rooms. Then, add the dice number you rolled onto your CURRENT room number. So if I am in one and I roll 3, I land on room FOUR. - You must wait 15 ooc minutes between posts before you can roll a 1d6 again. In that time, you can rp with anyone who is in your same room number. - Also note the room effects. Look at the current room number you are at and match it to the diagram above. If it says "back 2 steps" then you go back 2 steps, so from 5 it turns to 3. - If it says "Event 1", please look at the EVENT LIST below. Whatever happens to you happens to everyone who lands on this room. - If you and someone else in the same room would like to PVP while waiting, you may do so. General battle mechanics apply. If you hit 0 HP, you simply have to start all over again from room 1 as time "resets" for you, this even includes Hunters, who find themselves back in room 1, miraculously unscathed. You do not need to destroy each other, you can just get a couple of hits in before you decide to roll your dice. - If you land on an ARTIFACT post you get a special artifact claim spot. You can redeem this at the end of the event. Please keep track of this post in your character's journal and have the link handy at the end. ICly your character brushes against something but it disappears right in their hands, some sort of strange rock-like object. - If you roll more than 10 times, you can automatically skip to the end. - All event effects do NOT carry over to other rooms. gaia_crown [ LIST OF EVENTS ]EVENT 1: An insatiable hunger overpowers you for the rest of this room. You cannot think outside of your need for Fear, like a terrible starvation. Everything turns blurry and dark. You lash out instinctively and attack anyone in your tire. For Hunters: your weapon nearly overpowers you with their emotions. You can't help but strike out at anything moving in the room. If your HP hits 0 and you are reset, this event is also cancelled. EVENT 2: Time slows down for everything except for you. This lasts for the rest of the corridor of time. While you can understand what people are saying, it is also very slow. You can move at 2x the speed of everyone else, meaning you only have to wait a 5 OOC minute cooldown instead of 15. You can also attack 2x in a row where applicable. EVENT 3: A blindness overtakes you. This lasts for the rest of the corridor of time. You can no longer see what is in front of you! All you can hear are sounds, and you must tread very carefully. This also makes you extra vulnerable to attacks, as you take 2x the damage from not being able to see. EVENT 4: A jealousy overtakes you. This lasts for the rest of the corridor of time. As you look at those around you, all you can think of is everything you don't have. It makes you extremely volatile, and prone to attacking recklessly, especially those of opposite faction. EVENT 5: You become timid. This lasts for the rest of the corridor of time. It is as if all the courage from you has been sucked away, leaving a hollow husk of a flighty, terrified person. Everything scares you. The longer you are in the room, the worse your fear gets, until even words can cause you to jump. EVENT 6: For some reason, you can only speak in riddles. Quite literally, everything comes out in a riddle, ended by a question mark. This also makes dialogue very confusing. You can no longer use any proper nouns such as names, places, or even names of objects or weapons. gaia_crown [ IF YOU COMPLETED THIS ROOM ] - Once completed, (at tile 25), create a post here and title the top as EXIT . You may also wait for other players and linger at the exit (and talk to players or pvp there). Once you are ready to move on you may all exit and pick the next room. IF this is your last room, you may move to the SECRET ROOM HERe. - If this is your 2nd room, and you wish to not do any more rooms, you can just linger here until the post at Thurs June 12th @ 11:00 PM PST otherwise, you can linger and move to a room you haven't completed and slowly work your way through those.

[ Room 1 ]
He wasn't doing this for either of them despite entering the tower, following as he was. Waits was simply doing. Perhaps to see what was in the tower - the Spire that reminded him of the other, the one he had not seen crumble, the one he still had fresh in his mind as if it still stood - perhaps to see where everything lead in the end. Waits just went.
And then wondered if it was worth the effort upon arriving in the corridor of different levitating rooms. His expression remained neutral as his shoulders slumped - if only he could hover about, his wings were not that strong. Slowly his eyes began to observe the mechanics of the place as if to find some weakness and gain an upper hand. He fancied himself intelligent after all, he could figure out a way past this perhaps? Or he could just sit and wait it out.
That did seem ideal.

[ Room 3]
Plans of being patient did not seem like they would transpire when the floor beneath his skeletal feet quaked. It was moving, shifting and maneuvering about in a small dance with the other rooms. It had begun, at least for him anyways... it might have started some time ago without him realizing after all.
Either way, Waits stood there, his eyes shifting towards the opening to see when there would be an opportunity to step between the rooms - that was the game after all, it seemed he had to play. He took a step, his hand resting lightly on the doorframe as it was as the room went from one room, much too quickly for him to disembark, to another with ample time for him to step out.
Into an overwhelming feeling that he felt often. But had in the least, once even for the purpose of study. A mistake it had been. That hunger he felt, that drain. The depletion, it took over his body as a whole. Waits clutched lightly at his the fabrics at his chest as his whole vision dimmed and darkened. It felt like something was gnawing at him, and not of the inhabitants that dwelled in the cavities of his body - and no, they would not sate this hunger. They were of meats, this was a matter of Fear.
Slowly the alchemist pushed himself backwards, each step slow and careful until he found himself pressed against a wall, draping himself in shadows. He would be of his name and wait. Perhaps someone would come... someone to feed upon.

[ Room 1 ]
It didn't seem real. They were going to purge the horsemen? It was hard for Jason to believe they were attempting something as insane as this. And truth be told, he wasn't sure if they would succeed. Sure they had destroyed their isles but, to eradicate them?
Still, if they did succeed, their job would become a lot easier...maybe.
Making sure his headset was working, Jason walked into the spire. It took a minute for his eyes to adjust but when they did, he was shocked to see the corridor he had emerged in. The rooms themselves were suspended over a endless abyss, constantly moving and shifting. He suddenly felt the floor move underneath him, and with a yelp he dropped to the ground practically hugging it to keep from falling off
"D-do I have to?" He stuttered, already knowing the answer.

Being the pansy that he was, it took Jason a full five minutes before he was able to stand on his own two feet, and even then he was hugging the sides of the room like it was his lifeline. Musting up what little courage he had, the moon trainee edged to wards the door in front of him, slowly opening up to see what was on the other side
...nothing. He moved forwards, looking around the new surroundings. Which looked just like the old room.
"Shut up" He grumbling to his cackling weapon.

The room was still moving, and he didn't like it one bit. Jason made a grab for the door at the other side of the room and opened it, stumbling into the next room. Not much was going on here either.
Okay, good, no signs of holes ready to drop him into the abyss. Nothing trying to kill him. The only problem was this room kept shifting as well, so he sat on the floor to get his bearings right (plus being so close to the floor was good. He liked the floor)
Jason froze on the spot and didn't budge a inch.

[Room 1]
Determined to find what was at the end of this path chosen for him, Uru pushed through a door and found himself in a room. There were a few others here before him, catching glimpses of them as they disappeared behind the door. The room seemed plain and simple except for the single door on the opposite wall. He felt enclosed and certainly alone. A soft clicking sound as if gears turning hummed just outside the chamber that made him feel uneasy. The demon did not like this place, but he was here now and he wasn't turning back. So he pushed forward and followed the others before him, clutching the door handle and pulling it open.
Into the Corridor of Time.

Room 2 ----> 4Uru opened the door and stepped on through to another room, one similar to the last one. He didn't notice anything different, there was another door at the far end of the wall and the doorway that he stood in. No one else was there. Sniffing, he caught small hints of creeple passing through here. So, perhaps they pushed on further. But was it safe to assume that they were okay and that going further hadn't ended their fate short? Before he was able to contemplate it further, the door to the next room swung open, and, from the vantage point, so did the next room. Suddenly a force seemed to grip at his chest and pull him through. Letting out a snarl, the demon was pulled from the second, through the third, and tossed haphazardly with a grunt into the fourth, the doors all shutting loudly behind him. Uru got to his feet, growling at the door behind him, glaring as if threatening to tear it down. However, going back would prove counter productive. Straightening his jacket, he went to reach for the next door. He could tell this place was going to be annoying. Room: [ 1][ 2-4]

Room 9 - Event 3Quote: EVENT 3: A blindness overtakes you. This lasts for the rest of the event. You can no longer see what is in front of you! All you can hear are sounds, and you must tread very carefully. This also makes you extra vulnerable to attacks, as you take 2x the damage from not being able to see. Opening the door from the fourth room, he stepped onto the next to which he had assumed to be the 5th. As soon as his body stood fully in the enclosed area he immediately regretted it. The room was dark, his hands immediately came up from his sides defensively. The fact that he was not able to see his surroundings made him incredibly defensive and alert, his eyes scanning the darkness for some sort of movement. There was nothing. Dark. Black. Nothing. Keeping his pose, he inched forward toward his right, moving his feet but keeping his arms up ready to strike should something come at him. He'd feel sorry if another student came to him; not so much anyone, or anything, else. Keeping his left heel against the wall behind him, he was sure that he'd hit the opposite door at some point. There was no guarantee that if he went straight ahead that the door would be. Then it'd be a 50/50 chance that if he went left or right he would end up back at the same door that he came through. This way, he'd be sure to hit the door to the next room assuming that it was like the rest that he passed through. When the demon did manage to reach the door at last, his hand searched the portal for its handle. Quickly, he opened it open to light the room. When the door hung open, no light came through. Was it safe to assume that there was no light in the next room?... It was safe to assume that. It was also in the realm of possibilities that whatever this room did, it could have been like the room that he was in prior in which a force pulled him through two others. This one could have done something to him... It could have struck him blind. The demon let out a growl at the idea, instinctively closing his eyes as if to preserve them or something. He was blind and in a strange place. Relying on his other senses was a common thing for him, but to be actually blind was not something he was prepared for. He had to be more careful now. Room 14Blind and stuck in this stupid place. The constant clicking of gears somewhere around him was also getting on his nerves. Furthermore, he didn't even know why he was here to begin with, just knowing that he was here and that he should see this through to the end. He had just hoped that the end wasn't when he died. Growling to himself at that train of thought, he did as he did before, pulling himself into a defensive pose: left foot out, right foot back, heel against the wall, bent at the knees, shoulders and head down, arms up to shield himself, eyes closed because he was jacking blind, and slowly edged around the room until there was a difference of the surface to indicate a door. He had counted. It took roughly fifteen minutes of carefully moving around the room to reach the door this time knowing, and confirming, that he was struck sightless. Room: [ 1][ 2-4][ 9][ 14]

So far Jason hadn't seen any other hunters about. Were they behind him, or had they all gone in front? It was hard to believe that he hadn't seen any sign of the mass of hunters he had seen before back in the camp. It must be a side effect of this place.
The thought though made him shiver. He hoped everyone was alright. Tapping his headpiece, he listened for anyone trying to communicate.

Room 18 -----> 20Uru snarled as a force pulled him backwards and dropping him into another room. He growled as he jumped to his feet, drawing up his fists and prepared for anything as he frantically edged backwards until his foot hit the wall's edge. The door slammed loudly against the opposite wall that he could only assume to be the room he had just been pulled from. If that was the case, then he should be near the door on this wall. Searching for it with his heel didn't take long as his arm left his guard to find the handle. Room: [ 1][ 2-4][ 9][ 14]18-20

Even if he wasn't in any danger, Jason was getting anxious about the lack of anything when he moved into the next room. What was going to meet him at the end of these rooms? The constant ticking coming from down below wasn't helping his nerves either.
Sighing, he worked on trying to stay upright in the constantly moving rooms.

ExitWhen he pulled the door free, the demon hellhound stumbled into another room and light rushed his vision - instinctively hissing at the onslaught to his eyes. Blinking, the features came back into focus, light moved through his lens, and he was able to see again. Rolling his shoulders, Uru looked around the room before settling his eyes on a last door that was unlike the other. It would seem that he was able to reach the end after all. He could not have pulled that door open faster. [[Exit]] Room: [ 1][ 2-4][ 9][ 14][ 18-20][ 25]

[ Room 1 ]
It hadn't taken long, once Ever was away from the pools, for that dream-like state to fade and the fear to melt back toward something normal, manageable, healthy. Visions of the monster lingered in his mind, but they combined with the image of a confused 13-year-old-boy, even if now he could also remember the ears, the tail, the strange clothing that had marked Erebus as something other than human. He wandered slowly through the tower, a hand over his heart and weapon still in hand [just in case] until he came to another room.
Here he stood, pausing, eyebrows knitted as he stared at the door and then away toward the rest of the rooms, breath held. He was way out of his depth. There was magic, here, and while he'd known that objectively....
Objectively was different than stepping foot into a floating room. It was different from drinking water that made you older, younger. So he hesitated, waffling, shuffling his weight from one foot to the other and looking back over his shoulder before he stepped forward to settle his hand on the doorknob.
