A simple, silent rise of the lord's jaw gives his eye room to see the Jedi. As though the boy is as interesting as an old sofa, Taliman just as quietly lowers his head and does nothing more in acknowledgement. He senses Jade's apprehension, but would expect as much; he's not exactly been a friend to her. He's been a friend to very few, but specifically an enemy to her. Things no longer seem that way these days, but her uneasiness remains. The mere thought brings a sly grin to his face.
Maneuvering around tables and the elevator tower, he eventually reaches the kitchen area, but stops a few meters away at the nearest table. The chair closest to the counter, like the front door, slides back to give Wesley room to take a seat. Unfolding his arms and sidestepping into postion, he sits down with a slouched posture, leaning back with his left arm hanging off the back with his right across his lap. Casually tossing his left knee over his right, his tail falls out behind him as well. Relaxed, he keeps his head tilted down and toward the Jedi to his left, his back facing the girl.

"I have been... alright," The Jedi Knight said, the last word coming out slowly as images of killing Yuuzhan Vong warriors flashed across his mind.
He looked at the other man, the red haired one. Valin had met many lowlifes before - but this man gave him the creeps. He did not feel easy around him and was happy to have both his blaster and lightsaber tucked away - well hidden but easily accessable - under his Jedi robes. Though he honestly hoped things wouldn't come to that.
The man looked at Jade, who looked both annoyed and tired, "How have you been and how is Mr. Deity, if you don't mind my asking?"

Jade nodded slightly at Valin, choosing to ignore the fact that Taliman was sitting not too far away, more than likely on purpose. Though she didn't know what Valin had been thorugh as of late, she understood the tone he used when he replied. Whatever the Jedi had been going though recently, it hadn't been easy nor fun.
"I wish I could say things have been getting better...but at least they haven't gotten too much worse then they have been...."
She took a slow sip of her cocoa before putting her mug down on the counter next to her as she leaned back against it.
"Would you like some hot chocolate Valin?"
Jade didn't bother offering any to Taliman. Likely, he'd get something on his own, like he always did.

Valin looked pretty surprised at the notion of drinking hot chocolate, "This worlds produces the cocoa bean? Only a handful of worlds use to be able to produce it even before the Yuuzhan Vong War. After the war, only one planet remained untouch by their terraforming. It had become a very pricey thing afterwards."
He smiled broadly again, "I would love to try it. I've never actually had it. Though Grand Master Skywalker was said to love it." Again Valin looked out of the corner of his aye to check on Mr. Unfriendly sitting close by.

The Saiya-jin's words pique his interest, his eye widening to some degree upon hearing them. Trouble? Here? With Tybron? What joy. Sliding his right hand up to his opposite knee, he nonchalantly twists his upper body around, leaning his left side against the back of his seat. Tilting his head to lean it against his raised shoulder, his now visible singular eye glances sideways toward her. Tali has a condescending look of interest in his eye as he comments on the subject, happily ignoring any conversation around him.
"Ooh, what did I miss?"

Jade smiled back at Valin, letting out a slight giggle at his comments. Did this world produce the cocoa bean? He must not have seen just how much chocolate is eaten in the world per day.
"Believe me Valin...this planet is far from short on the cocoa bean....and it's one of the cheapest drinks you can get. You can pick it up anywhere."
The girl smiled and turned as she refilled the kettle with water, then looped her tail through the handle as she reached for another mug and the chocolate mix. Her tail put it on the stove next to her, and she reached over to turn on the burner again.
But as she turned around, her disposition visibly changed to one of annoyance as her green eyes travelled over to the demon looking over his shoulder.
"As if you couldn't find out on your own. But it's nothing for you to worry your arrogant little head over."
Jade's tongue was sharp and short with Taliman before she turned back towards Valin.
"It'll be just a minute or two for your hot chocolate..."

The small demon just chuckles quietly to himself, parting his lips only as wide as is needed for such a laugh. No doubt, it would have been quicker to simply pry his way to the facts than to ask, but he would rather hear it from her. It's not as satisfying, otherwise.
"Don't be that way."
Baring his sharp teeth in an overbearing smile, he continues a breath later, raising his left hand in a shrug.
"At least I asked."
Wesley pauses this way for a few more seconds, his lazily half shut eye focused on Jade as his brow raises, as though awaiting a response.

Valin blinked a couple times in surprise, "You mean you don't share this planet's resources with the rest of the galaxy? I didn't know the planet was that... uh... technologically, uh, behind."
The Jedi was slightly embarassed by the comment, for he did not want to said rude that this planet was not part of a larger collection of planets and that it didn't have something as useful as a hyperdrive engine.
Valin sighed at Jade's emotions seemed to tip towards anger and annoyance. She did nothing to hide it outwardly nor inwardly as he felt it in the Force. Yet she took control of herself instantly though he could still feel the inner turmoil, "Yes, that will be fine."
But then Valin turned towards the source of annoyance, "My good man, you don't seem stupid enough to not notice her discomfort. I would be rather happy if you left."
Things like this tended to erupt into most unfun experiences...

Jade would not give Taliman the pleasure of upsetting her, nor making her night bad in anyway. She sniffed lightly in annoyance at Taliman's comments, but didn't turn to face him again as she took care of the water in the kettle for Valin.
"I'll give you credit there, Taliman. But I believe your father could give you a better explaination than I can as to recent events, and you are on better terms with him than you are with me."
It was a polite, but firm way of saying she was done talking with him for now.
The girl pulled the kettle off of the stove and poured the water into the waiting mug for Valin, giving it wa quick stir to mix it before turning and facing the Jedi Knight.
"Here you are Valin, becareful, it is hot. As for sharing resources, most beings on this planet know very little of anything outside their own atmosphere. I came here when I was very young from another world, and was rather surprised by the ignorance of the humans here. Still, it's not so bad in a way..."
She shurgged and sipped at her cocoa again, leaning back against the counter.

"Oh, I doubt that."
It is shortly after his repsonse to Jade that his grin fades, and his expression draws a stern look of annoyance. The Jedi is talking to him now, in a vain attempt to make him 'shoo'. Slowly turning his head toward Lobel, Wesley resituates his body only slightly to comfortably look the kid in the eyes, clearly not about to accept his offer and just go away. The Tonepian overlord seems to just stare at the Jedi, not even blinking, only lifting his right eyebrow. He may as well be boring a hole through Valin's head, looking instead at the wall behind him.
"Fascinating."
With just that one sarcastic word, he looks away again, lifting his left hand to catch the back of the seat as he returns his focus to the girl. He has little to say to someone trying to bite off more than they can chew. This time, however, he never actually looks at Jade. Wesley's body does not shift from the position he just got into, rather, he just glances in the Saiya-jin's general direction. A calm look in his eyes, he says nothing more, staring blankly as though thinking to himself.

Valin snorted loudly and chuckled, paying no attention to the man trying to stare a hole through his head and surpressing the urge to bore a hole in the annoying man... with his lightsaber, "We humans have a tendency to be ignorant and self-centered. As a Jedi Knight, I try to give up the 'self' so that I may find a more perfect connection with the greater Force."
The young man looked at the hot chocolate and took in its wonderful smell. It smelled very very good. He brought up the mug and took a light sip so as not burn his tongue or mouth. Wow... it was incredible. Now he knew why Luke Skywalker enjoyed it so very much.
"That is very nice, indeed," Valin said with a smirk and chuckle, "I think I may have found a new favorite drink."

The exotic dance of the leaves floating against the wind were nothing less than intoxicating to the mind. As they were lifted upward at the smallest amount of breeze, and pulled into a torrent of spins and circles that seemed too elegant to be real, one could find themselves drawn to them eagerly, wanting to join in on the forbidden dance of the fall. They continued to scatter themselves against the forest floor, resting from their tireless activity only moments before, until their partner decided to blast them upward into the air once more, allowing them to show their moves to the lucky few who happened to be watching. How they seemed to weave in and out of the trees was enticing, to say the least, because it seems as though they would never hit the rough bark, as if afraid to taint the lovely pastels of red, orange, and yellow, feeling as though they had left the trees that had housed them and were now defiant in returning to such a place. Instead, they were apt to continue the small interlude of delightful movement, seemingly pausing in mid-air before being cast off in any direction that was chosen for them. Even if they had no control over their steps, it was still something to see if one could appreciate the beauty of nature unhindered. However, as the sound of gravel crunching underneath a heavy footstep could be heard filtering throughout the area, one lithe figure was made visible to the eye. With eyes full of fire, a hand shot out to grab one of the dancing leaves, crushing it in their delicate fist with a smile on their face. It seemed this girl had never appreciated the mocking dance of Autumn.
Glancing at the fragments of something that used to be considered so beautiful, she tilted her hand to the side gently, allowing the pieces to scatter in the wind in a more demented dance than before. Instead of the one graceful movement, they were now torn and frayed, and it seemed the most opportune time as the wind began to howl greatly. It was as if it was appalled and angry at her sudden display of disrespect for what had once been its partner in their elegant display of nature. She, however, didn't seem to care at all, because as she turned to face the direction of the shrieking gusts, she began to laugh, her head thrown back in great amusement, rivulets of crimson locks falling down her back in a cascade of silk. Small black triangles were perched on top of her head, and if one were to look closely, they would see the fur that lined them, indicating she was not of human proportions, but was in fact partial feline. The slant in her eyes and the tail that wrapped around her waist also added to this little detail, although she was not currently thinking about her race, but of the wind that had been afraid of this woman. As soon as her laughter echoed throughout the trees, the wind had ceased its shattered call, dying down in almost an instant, afraid of the woman that stood before it, knowing that she did not seem fazed nor fearful of anything it might throw at her. Unable to hide the glee that she felt, she screamed upwards toward the night sky, the sound reverberating greatly and causing many creatures to stir from their once deep slumber. Flocks of birds flew out of the trees and upwards into the air, their outrage being heard as they cried out in flight. But she didn't care. Instead, she daintily spun around to face the building she had noticed before, a small smile appearing on her lips as she began to move forward.
Her steps were long and graceful, fluid and relaxed, never straying off the path that she had set for herself this lonesome night. With her boots continuing to sink into the ground below her, she paid no attention to the small sounds around her, ignoring them without any worry. Nothing would harm her, she was positive of this little fact. It may have seemed a bit egotistical, considering she was such a delicate female and possibly defenseless, but Serianna would not be deterred from her goal of the night. She had heard many stories of the Orion in her previous travels, and now the call of the fighting and fun that could be offered to her on a platter was too tempting to throw away. She had been searching for a place like this for the longest time, so who was she to refuse such a delicious invitation such as this? Why, it would be rude to turn down such an offer, and so, as her pace quickened only slightly to bring her closer to destination, she could feel the excitement coarsing through her veins. What was this rush, this wonderful little feeling that seemed to cause her poor body to ache so? Was she ready to feel that rush of perhaps death that could snare her in seconds, or was there something else perhaps? Whatever it was, it was starting to overcome her senses and make her dizzy with delight.
No, she would not let it take over her now, she was so close to having all of this. It was right at her fingertips, she could feel it. As she moved to hurry herself to the door, her long skirt seemed to billow around her, sometimes getting caught in the forgotten gusts of air that would suddenly appear out of nowhere, as if trying to startle her into submission. However, they would not be able to stop her, because when Serianna had a purpose in mind, she was too stubborn to let it go. Licking her lips in anticipation, she stopped when she had reached the door. Her chest was heaving as her eyes glinted madly from what could be beyond this wooden barrier that was blocking her from the last few steps she needed to take. Her whole body quivered at the sight of it, and as she began to lift her right hand, a jolt of pleasure ran through her as her fingers barely grazed the handle of the door. What could be behind here that would take control of her mind so quickly and so strongly? Whatever it was, she was more than positive she would not be disappointed. Slowly, ever so slowly, her hand wrapped around the doorknob, gripping tightly as she began to turn it. And with the patience of a saint, she inched the door open, relishing in the loud creaking sound that was made from her actions. And when she couldn't take it anymore, she pushed it all the way open and stepped inside.
Her eyes widened in pure happiness at the sight before her. The authenticity of the place was mindblowing. It seemed so discreet and surreal, yet classy and elegant at the same time. She could see the luxurious chairs and couches scattered around the room, the captivating fireplace that seemed alive with its flames darting out towards anyone who would get too close to its grasp. This place was heaven in her eyes, and as she moved forward in the small daze she was in, she ran her well-manicured hands through her long tresses, twisting the strands around her fingers as she would turn each way to study the patterns and designs that surrounded her. They were all so lovely in her eyes, and that's when she began to laugh again. Standing in the center of the room, she threw back her head in shadowment of what she had done earlier outside, and just laughed. This was her heaven, this was her hell, this was her sanctuary.
After the humor seemed to disappear, she allowed her head to fall forward, her crimson tresses falling in front of her face, hiding her matching eyes from sight. The sleeveless red blouse that she wore clung to her body tightly, framing her curves even though the skirt did nothing to embellish them. However, no matter what she wore, she always managed to retain a look that would cast her as unique, and that was what she always wanted. She would hate to be typecast or thrown into a group that she knew she was nothing like, it would kill her to no end. She was not like anyone around her, and she refused to be treated as such. With a low growl that seemed to come from the back of her throat, her head snapped up quickly, pushing these heathen thoughts out of her mind before she began to make herself to the bar. It seemed as though the sight of this part of the room eased her troubled mind, because soon, a purr was passing by her lips instead, showing her appeasement at what she saw. As soon as she was next to one of the stools, she was gracefully sliding into the seat, her long, smooth legs tucked underneath with her ankles crossed at the bottom. Finally, Serianna was content.
