<<@Tama: .... < <;; ...dude, you mentioned Interview with the Vampire. Deity was commenting that the vampires of that story have nothing to do with the type of vampires you prefer.>>

O Interview, no they are weak to sunlight arn't they? I never fully got to watch the movie all the way through but they are actually weaker. Ya the Vampires in that thing you cna slice their throats or set them on fire and they die. I know Queen of the Damned has some good refrence to Vampirism, however my favorite does lay with Raven Hart's versions.

Valin Lobel sat in the arena of Club Orion. Sitting in the center, he was in deep meditation. Last night's events had spured to meditate of life, death, and passage of life into that of the ever living Force.

There actually a technique known on how to preserve one's individuality after passing to death. By joining with the Force, one could actually produce a semi-physical form or at the very least project their voice into another's mind.

It was a technique acheived by a total release of the self at death, through compassion and love. Love was the greatest enemy for the Dark Side. Love was a wall that the Dark Side could never breach.

Kalee had retained her 'self' after death for a short while before moving on to her deserved rest. She had appeared only once to Valin - begging and pleading to give up his dark ways. It was then that he had given up his mad quest of power.

Valin sensed the approach of beings. Actually... it was what he couldn't sense. They were like... static in the Force. They didn't exist inside of its grasp.

The young man opened his eyes to see four Yuuzhan Vong standing around him, looking around. The biggest - and ugliest - stared at him with fury in his eyes.

This was curious.

"How did you get get here?" The Jedi asked them.

The biggest came close as the others drew themselves behind him. They were less deformed, less scarred, and less tattooed.

"We followed you - Jeedai! Our ship got caught in the ungodly trap you planted for us!" The Vong shouted.

Valin laughed and stood up, "I planted no trap - you simply got caught up in whatever happened to accidently cause us to come here."

"Jeedai lies! It was a trap! You will pay for your deeds against the Yuuzhan Vong!" The warrior shouted and grabbed his amphistaff off his waist. It - like all Vong technology - was alive. It resembled a jet black snake. It could be used like a polearm, spear, cutting weapon, or even a whip.

The other Yuuzhan Vong were also from the warrior caste. One grabbed Thud bugs - a cousin of the Razor bug but was meant to hit someone very hurt, generally enough to crack and shatter ribs. The others grabbed their amphistaffs.

Valin grabbed his lightsaber off his belt, the silver blade flowing forth from a seemingly battered hilt.

He suddenly shouted, "Bruk tukken Vong pratte, al'tanna brenzlit tchurokk!"

The younger warriors seemed incredibly angered by these words, said in their own language. Few humans had mastered the Vong language - it was difficult, hard to pronouce, and riddle with words about their gods, religion, and pain. Valin had been the foremost Jedi involved with deciphering the Yuuzhan Vong language - he wasn't the best amongst his peers, but he was good nonetheless.

What Valin had said was a powerful insult: "Weakness to the Yuuzhan Vong, long live the timid!"

The Yuuzhan Vong launched themselves at Valin, screaming a battlecry of their own: "Do-ro'ik vong pratte!" which was their most bloodthristy cry, one shouted when going to battle for the greatest glory of the Yuuzhan Vong. It was the first statement ever translated after the start of the war:

"And woe to our enemies!"

[[ Roger, Roger. ]]

The Vong's right arm was cut cleanly, from the armpit up. The Jedi twisted the blade, turned, and equally cleanly cut off the warrior's head. The body stood for a few seconds after the head hit the floor before it collasped onto the ground.

Force techniques were no use here. If you tried to toss around a Vong with the Force - you'd find that such technique was useless. Even Dark Side techniques, like Force Lightning, just merely bounced away.

Valin jumped up into the air as an amphistaff sweep under him. He landed a handful of feet away from the surviving warriors, who rushed at him screaming with a bloodthristy rage.

Rather suddenly, a beam of red flew swiftly in the air and stabbed through the chest piece of Vonduun crab armor that the Yuuzhan Vong wore - straight into the heart and through the back. The second youngest warrior fell backwards, the red blade slicing a clean hole in the ground, as well.

Vonduun crab armor was the armor of the Yuuzhan Vong. Various types exist - from the ornate of those Vong 'closest to the gods' and the basic for the lowest members of their soceity. The armor shell was also living and taken from the a vonduun crab. Covering all over the armor were the crab's spear-like legs - which were extremely sharp and could be used as weapons. One set, called "grip legs", would sometimes grab the corner of the wearer's mouth, giving them an evil, skull-like smile. It also caused extreme pain to the wearer - further enforcing their belief in their gods and their leaders. Vonduun crab armor also had crystalline properties, and was resistant to blasters, slugthrowers, and even lightsabers.

Normally, a lightsaber could not pierce the armor. However, the red crystal inside the hilt produced a slightly stronger blade. Combined with the sheer velocity of the throw and the added momentum of the Force - it was easily done. Normally, a Jedi had to aim for the open spots of the armor - the underarms, the neck, the slight gap in the upper chest, the back of the knees, the wrists, and the head itself.

The two eldest warriors circled Valin carefully as the Jedi Knight walked towards the newest fallen. He bent down and drew out his lightsaber, the red blade still lit.

Holding it in his offhand, the flung himself at the second ugliest warrior. The Yuuzhan Vong bent, raising his staff to counter the silver blade that swung down to hit it. The second lightsaber drove itself into the warrior's left knee. Valin quickly removed the blade because the warrior sliced at Valin with his living staff. The creature hissed at him, attempting to bite and poison him. The red blade sliced away the head of the staff, killing the staff and making it go into death spasms.

The Vong let go of staff and grabbed Valin by the right wrist and smashing his left hand with the other hand, and finally throwing him to the ground. The Jedi dropped the blade of blood red, which rolled away.

Valin quickly stabbed the Vong through the foreward, a stab forward with the silver blade. Life left the Vong and the heavy figure attempted to fall on the Jedi Knight. He rolled quickly to the left but still one of the razor sharp barbs on the armor stabbed right into his left upperarm.

It should have hurt. A lot. But it didn't because Valin choose to ignore it.

These monsters had taught him about pain.

Valin shoved up the corpse with a grunt, removing the razor sharp leg from his armor - the leg covered in his blood, which flowed profusely onto his robes.

The injuried man stood up, holding his main lightsaber in hand.

"You fight well for a human!" Shouted the last ugly son of a b***h.

"You die easily considering you are Yuuzhan Vong," Valin mocked.

The warrior hissed, "I can see you have killed many of us. Great glory goes to those who are now with the gods."

Darkness entered Valin's eyes, "Deep down inside... I want to kill you all..."

Suddenly, the Jedi was running forward, letting out his own battlecry, a yell of pent up rage. He met the warrior head on, lightsaber clasped in both hands. He smashed the saber down into the amphistaff. The warrior however, only held it with one hand, the other held a Yuuzhan Vong holdout knife known as a Coufee. The Vong thrusted it into Valin's left thigh.

Valin drew back, taking a hand off his lightsaber to reach out, grab the knife, and pull it out with a sickening noise of blade on flesh. He made no noise in doing so and afterwards simply tossed away the knife.

He chuckled, "Nice one, you son of a Sith."

The Knight again tossed himself at the warrior, attempting to cut under the left arm. The alien blocked, twisted the staff and lightsaber up, and attempted to dive the end of the staff - with a nice sharp point - into Valin's gut. The Jedi Knight sidestepped and kicked at the warrior's chest. He barely moved but it gave Valin the time to flip over the warrior and his back facing the incredible warrior, he stabbed it into the massive Vong's side, through the lungs and stomach but missing the heart.

"Yes, yes. Very nice. You have... considerable skill..." The eldest warrior admitted. Valin withdrew the blade and blade died into the hilt. The Yuuzhan Vong fell onto his stomach.

"I join... Supreme Overlord Shimrra with the Yun'o... in great glory... I commend my spirit..." He spat up blood, convulsed, and said finally, "Tchurokk Yun'tchilat."

He was dead. To his gods - which was what Yun'o meant - he sent his spirit and his brothers. His last words translated to "Witness the will of the Gods".

Valin feel to his knees, nearly collasping over.

The Yuuzhan Vong. Some had made it her along with him. There would be pockets of them - no more than a hundred in number most likely. If even that.

He let out a scream of rage until he couldn't scream anymore.

So tired... so tired of them... of the war... of anything remotely related to the war...

The Jedi smashed his hands into the arena floor until the one of flesh bled and the one of flesh crushed the ground it smashed... he stopped after a while because it didn't make him feel any better.

Then he stood up and went to work on cleaning up the bodies... even these insane zealots deserved proper cremation...

Perched atop the rafters overlooking the arena floor below, a young woman of emerald hair watched the battle in silence. Staff in hand she debated on lending a hand against the bestial threat.

Normally she would be perched the Orioin tower but the changing climate outside had proven enough to drive her from her usual stomping grounds. She had been reviewing her magical tomes for the upcoming tournament.

Craning her neck to gain a better vantage point she watched as the laser blade wielding traveller deftly fended off attacks, making short work of many of his assailants despite their obvious natural affinity to battle.

Impressed by the Jedi's prowess in fending himself she smiled supposing that her intrusion into the battle would have proven more of an hinderance than aid.

She had yet to have seen beings such as these. Reviewing her memories from her past experience as Anima had shown no instance of this race. In her opinion they resembled half breed of her own race, though perhaps less menancing due to their lack of aura. In most instances a half breed tended to have less in common with their wyrm brethern. Untrained it was not uncommon to confuse one with their less capable cousin the kobold.

With training a Dragon was an inherently magical being capable of assuming the form of any beast. In her case, she had spent such a considerable amount of time as a human being she did not feel her draconic form was any more true than her current.

Returning to reality, she once again gazed down at the battle ening below.
As the last creature fell she sighed remarking on permeating wail that he shouted at the act he just commited. Running her hand through her hair proceeded to gather her belongings as to not further exacerbate the moment further with her prying eavesdropping.

The Jedi was several miles away from Club Orion, watching as the four bodies burned in a pit.

Yuuzhan Vong stood about as tall and bulky as a Wookiee - and were about as strong. They looked vaguly human in form, though they had sloping, almost ridge-like foreheads. Some had pointed ears, though others didn't. The most common skin tones among the Yuuzhan Vong were grey, with a high number of others being yellow. Another major physical characteristic was that the Yuuzhan Vong had jet black blood. Equally, they could live two or three times longer than a human.

So how did we win the war?

Easy - you exploited their greatest weakness: The Yuuzhan Vong were a race of proud warriors fighting a genocidal war to 'cleanse' the galaxy of infidels as demanded by their 'gods'.

And they knew nothing was retreat as a true tactic. If one wave failed, they'd throw another wave at you. Thus, clever traps could easily decimate tens of thousands Yuuzhan Vong warriors before the signal of retreat was given.

Valin watched the bodies burn.

There was no death.

There was only the Force.

But for those who existed outside the Force... what was there?

The Jedi walked away from the controlled fire and into the forest, which he disappeared into. He was so tired of sending people to death when he had taken the oath to defend life.

In Interview with a Vampire, the one with Brad Pitt, Anotnio Bandaraz, and a few other main stream actors? Ya one vamp got his throat slit and like almost died, would have actually. He got caught on fire to and still somehow lived. In that movie other vampires have heads removed, cut in half and die so major severage ussually works on anything.^^

<<@Tama: Interview with the Vampire... xD ...Lestat wasn't killed, nor was he in danger of dying. Anne Rice vampires are weakened by blood loss, not killed. He survived the fire because he managed to escape quickly enough. Though yes, another weakness could be a major injury...Santiago is cut in half by Louis with a scythe, and he appears to die...though even if he didn't, the fire Louis started destroyed all of the other vampires in the building, and would've killed Santiago, too.>>

:: on the pay role of some uknown source, the ju-nin had been following the jedi for some time now. alwyas being prepaird for the worst, he put the neccesary proccedures incase the jedi had already sensed him. "your invisible to the senses, your mission has not been comprimised," his inner self told him. "yeah, but he has that forcey thing that seems to always get the upper hand," his other half argued back. Yo-ko had once been involved with a jedi. it was not cool. he had barly escaped with his life. " but that was before you became a black ops ju-nin. and before you became a merc with many resources," said his inner self. " true but i still must be prepared." He jumped silently from tree to tree. keeping at least a mile between him and the Jedi. looking at the figure of the jedi, Yo-ko thinks the only to finish the mission would be to set his world famous traps. "but that would be un-honorable." yo-ko still carefully follows his clients enemy, observing for a weak point.::
