Steadying herself, Jessie tried again to hit the thing. She had to wondered if she had known how to fight before, because now...she hadn't a clue. Her swing was awkward at best, and she nearly fell over from the force. of the blade.
Maybe she had just started out before? She sighed, reading herself for another move.
She spun on her heel and slammed her scythe in a horizontal arc into the unidentified monster, still hitting for something like an average hit. Nothing seemed to explode and she didn't miss, so average it was.

Even though her moves had been sloppy and held little power, there was a flow to them that Jessie felt was...right. As if every time she had swung, her scythe was growing in power. Like it was preparing to do something.
It was her third swing which proved to be the charm. As she pulled it back, she could feel the weapon vibrate in her hands, the blade was glowing a deep purple as energy grew all around it. And as she swung the weapon, words formed in her mind which she felt she just HAD to shout.
"Lavender Blade!" her call was loud and confident, and the energy that was forming was unleashed in a curved arc of power that seemed to cut through whatever it hit.
It was strange how deep the wound had been and how little it hurt now. Like it had bubbled and now cooled, the black creating a clotted layer, its own bandage. It seemed a little foreboding, but Ridley tried to press it out of her mind.
It was time to get herself back up, and she pushed herself up as best she could on shaky legs and retrieved her book. Only to notice a small odd shaped item resting almost against it. The teen girl picked it up, curious.
It was important. It could help. She'd save it for later. It didn't hurt so badly right now. Ridley tucked it into her sash for safe keeping, mildly mulling over its question once again.
Her wish. "Not yet." She said, even though still smiling. "Maybe it wasn't as important as the reason for it." Or even now, because they still had something to fight and she now had people to find.
"Maria?" She called out, unsure of where her new friend had gone. What were the others' names? "Tamara? Orina?"

Before Gwyn had a chance to react, something reached into her chest and did all sorts of terrible things. Things her mind wasn't strong enough to communicate to her in terms she could understand. It felt like purple and burning with a side of microwave popcorn. Evil popcorn. Her body was in excruciating pain. There were no words for the pain she felt. Not normal words her consciousness could comprehend, anyway. All that came to mind was "Didgerdoodle!", "Gahakafaka!" and "Pfstistherol!"
She had lost track of time. While she was gone for but a second, it felt like it might as well've been years. When she came to, her head was throbbing. She couldn't hear what was going on around her and her vision was fuzzy.
While she was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to sleep, she had enough energy to say one thing. It came from the depths of her being, boiled up to the surface, and spilled over out of her mouth. "I hate you."
She fell to her knees and took deep, labored breaths in and out, in and out.
After finishing her combo moves, Orabel found herself whipped to the side from a passing tendril, and then the scent of flowers wafted through. She took in a deep breath, attempting to steady herself as the thing in front of her wavered.
She didn't notice the small crack appear on her Fear Core.
Standing in one spot, the Reaper felt dizzy, disoriented, and everything became fuzzy. Only a moment, but it was enough to unease her, and she was unable to rid herself of this particular feeling.
Alvar sucked in a breath, shocked by how quickly the other was up again. However, the surprised didn't last long as relief started to set in. She slowed down as she got near the two, and smiled warily at the other girl...who was she? Her attention went back to Tatiana.
"I'm glad you're alright. You had me worried there for a moment." She breathed out before nodding at the girl with...what is that in her hand? Alvar made a note to ask later, after all the formalities are over. "This...is probably a weird time to go about introducing ourselves, but my name's Alvar."
Aria spun again, jumping and swinging her scythe from bottom to top. The blade glowed bright blue, the gem pulsing with energy. It sparked with electricity that surged out from the gem. The words fell from her mouth before she could stop herself, her voice loud and clear as a bell in the air.
"Monster Hunter!"
And it did nothing. She dropped to the ground and blinked in disbelief. Did she miss? How could she miss, she was standing right there. How could it have missed?!
"Stupid retarded monster!"

Ah! I'm glad you finally woke up! How are you feeling?
When She got up, She heard the soft voice. How, how am I feeling? Everything was confused. She blinked her eyes frequently, blushing her cheek.
You don't remember anything? That is rather unfortunate and oddly inconvenient. Shall I remind you of why you are here?
"Yes...please?"
Very well, it is good for you to understand the truth. You are here because you chose to fight.
"W-what? Pardon?"
She fell into the chaos. She couldn't believe she had wanted to hassle. But the cat-like-creature let her confused and kept to talk about a Fear and Battle things. She bet, undoubtedly, she would be forget this critical information when really needed.
All Kleio remembered was someone mentioning how pretty they all looked, and Thalia not being amused at her joke (oh well, at least she tried!) but hadn't really much time to react.
M-my wish? What?
Her grip tightened around her lance, lashing out at the monster. Why was it so mean? What was it even doing here?
As she heard Arietta’s nickname for her, Calliope rolled her neck until she was staring at her. “I told you. It’s Calliope, not Green,” she insisted with a tight-lipped smile, but the expression flickered when she noticed Arietta flinch. She pressed her lips together while she two crossed her arms, careful to make sure the blade of her pistol sword peeked out from her long swords. “Just suck it up. We have to keep trooping off.” She shrugged as she lamely attempted to cheer on the other girl, if it could be considered cheering at all.
Mutely, she eyed the hammer and wished her weapon was big enough for her to lean on, but alas. She furrowed her brows as the Thing’s words came back to her suddenly now that she was out of the creature’s range. What had been her wish? It seemed she had made one. Calliope closed her eyes momentarily and pressed a fist to the side of her head. But only one word rang out from the corners of her mind: truth.

Jessie had just lowered her scythe when the monster decided it wanted to fight back. Without warning she felt a pain rip through her back as she had been stabbed. With a cry she placed a hand on her shoulder, the tips of her fingers trying to feel how much damage had been done. She was shocked when she felt a numbing sensation, and turning her head she saw her upper back had become black.
The site made her feel physically ill, and she nearly passed out from the sight. But it didn't take long for her to feel a little better. Shaking slightly, she went to check on the purple gem she had stashed in her pocket to make sure it was alright, and was startled to see a few cracks in it, the item leaking a black substance.
The attacks launched were amazing, if Nemi would comment. It was a bit special other what other girls had, but still it's interesting and effective. The witch started to wonder if she shot with candy bomb frequently in the past, what her personality was like and whether she got any friends. It was hard to recall anything when you were just empty inside. However, the fluffy creature seemed to know everything, everything of her and others. Maybe if she could defeat the bizarre creature, it will appear again?
Having such a hope in her heart, Nemi launched another attack.

Now that she had gotten a feel of her weapon in her hands, she was sure she could do better. It looked like going into battle and getting the chance to use your weapon really helped. She leaned pretty fast when in the heat of battle. "Alright! Third times a charm!" She liked the idea of using the wind like blades. So once again, she summoned her fear and threw another wind blade at the monster. This time though, she ended up calling out as she did. "Razor wind!" Once again the blade of wind slashed at the monster. This one wasn't as deep as before. It looked like she still needed to learn force behind the attack. Wait a moment... Razor wind? did she just name her attack with out even thinking? She did! Razor wind... that wasn't half bad.
