I have two. ^^;

One is my dress I got for prom last year. It's Lip Service's Victorian influeneced dress.

These pictures are about a year old (in January they'll be that old biggrin ). I don't really have any good pictures of me from prom in it. And even if I did, I'd doubt I'd want to look at them right now.
I wasdn't wearing any make up in these pictures and I'd just woken up after my afternoon nap (nap? 5 hours is a nap?) and found the box in the living room in which I proceeded to try it on.

The other one is Lip Service's Torture Gown. Ryan bought it for me. It's going to be my prom dress this year (yes, I have a bad habit of buying prom dresses MONTHS in advance). biggrin This one looks nothing like lolita though. xD

The cold chapped my chin. D: But I really love that dress. <3
But that is a REALLY crappy picture of me. I know I'm cuter than that. D:

Lip Service dresses are so fun-- I bought one of their punk ball gown things when they still had them in plain black-- I really wanted one in the black and purple plaid, but alas. I never managed to save up in time. Anyhow-- they've actually started to sell things that are very Lolita-esque. There's a skirt right now, called the "Bad Etiquette Layered Skirt" that's really close [and even if it's not dead-on, ohman. I love it and think it's gorgeous; I love the bow that goes in back]. There are also a few in the Black Light District line that I think are fabulous-- the cap sleeve dress and the Puff Sleeve Top [I wish they still had the skirt that matches it, can't find it anywhere Found it! It's the Black Pearl Skirt in the BLD line].

They've been having Loli-esque stuff since their '04 line. :3 A lot of it's sold out though and retired (although if it's in the fetish line it tends to re-appear after a year).
That's why I go on E-Bay. You can get it for cheaper and can find retired items. :3

And now that I think about it...the one i bought is the Bride of Frankenstein dress and not the Torture gown. xD I plan on getting hte Torture gown in white one day, if I can find it on e-bay in M. x:

I stilll like some outfits like that. Maybe because it's different. I quite like outfits that are different but still stylish.

Really? Huh-- I hadn't noticed anything that was hugely Lolita until maybe the past eighteen monthsish [most of which I'd seen as remakes, etc. for Hot Topic]. I did see a lot of Victorian influences in some of the longer dresses, but not really much Lolita. What were the names of some of the older lines? I'd like to go look them up!

if i had to choose 2 styles to only dress in it would be that and lolita. what a contrast!

One I grow out my hair more I want to do that to it, but only make it black with blue and blue-green.

Most of it's stuff that's been up for a while and is now on their sale list or is just completely gone. I could be wrong about the timing, it may not have been fall of 2004 but early January of 05 that the stuff went up. I can't remember the name of the line for the life of me, but I'm sure I've got pictures saved somewhere.

I have a bunch of dresses I love that aren't Lolita. I wear dresses as much as possible. ^_^; There's one I have, it's a grey sweater dress and it really shows off my shape...I love wearing it to school. I am one of those outsidery kids, so it's hilarious to do that to those who seem to look down on me. >:

I LOVE cybergoth fashion. I just don't pull it off very well. ^_^;

OMG! xD I love it too! I wonder if I could pull it off. I can't really aford anything like Cyber Dog or something. Family is going through hard times, but definitely one of my fave fashions.

P.S. I'm working on getting twist falls or Dread falls from ikickshins.net. <33

Some vintage clothes could qualify as lolita.
Like, 50s style. Sometimes you can find them for quite cheap.
I love bright, colorful (decora I guess) outfits. I wear this style a lot. I've also found that lots of cheap skirts fit and look good over petticoats, tough I never actually wear these.

I wear tons of non-loli clothing, mainly romanitc-gothic styled clothing. I especially love long velvet dresses with bell-sleeves. whee

As for semi-loli clothing, I have an absolutely gorgeous tan skirt with a layer of black lace over the fabric, and though it's aboslutely wonderful, it isn't *quite* loli, because it's a tad short (it's not indecent at all, I think it just looks kind of short on be because of my height. It's nearly, but not quite, to my knees), and it has very little 'poof' to it. I still love it to death though. heart

One major problem I have is that my legs are very long, so skirts that would fall to the knees of an average person are usually like mini-skirts on me. crying

Looks fun to sew. 3nodding 4laugh

Beautiful by-the-way.

this topic reminds me of...
like...
asking... "is it kosher?"
except, it's not kosher. it's loli.
(i don't know how to explain this.)
3nodding
and i have a ruby rox dress (two actually) that i sewed cris-cross ribon straps on. they remind me of country loli but it's not. it's just a sun dress. that requires an insane amount of peticoats to look almost loli.
so it's not kosher. wink
