"Are you sure this is something that you are interested in?" The deep voice of the man standing in front of Visha asked him.
For a moment the youth took a breath, just a pause so that he could make heads or tails of his own thoughts. He'd been struggling for so long to figure out what it was that he wanted to do with his life. What path it was that was right for him. And for so long he thought it had to reflect the person he was. That it needed to show how fabulous he felt and showcased what he did as a hobby. It wasn't until he really thought about it that he realized it could be something different. Another facet of his life. Another side to his coin.
Slowly he brought his gaze up to meet the man in front of him. His jaw set and muscles clenched as he poised himself. Steeling himself for the choice he was going to make. Finally Visha nodded his head.
"Yes. I'm sure about this."
His own father was a fortress. Someone who could defend those that needed it. He was built for the role as well. Pure muscle covered the man from head to toe and there was little to no doubt about what he did. His mother was a delicate dancer. Her frame was curvy but small. Visha did not fit either of those physiques. He wasn't built like a stone wall nor did he have a bunch of curves.
What he did have was an ability to manipulate some of the elements. Something he'd stumbled upon. He was pleased to know that he could do it and it made the decision somewhat easier once he'd sat down to think things over.
Visha wanted to cultivate that skill. He wanted to improve upon it. Build on top of the innate ability and make it something truly amazing. So that left him where he was currently standing. The man in front of him was a Summoner and was known to be quite good at it. So he'd sought him out in the hopes that he would be taken on as an apprentice.
A grunt could be heard from the man standing a few feet to the left. "He looks like he might give up after a few weeks."
The comment made Visha bristle a bit but all he did was straighten his spine in response to it. There would be no good to come out of losing his cool.
"Hmn, no. I think he may just stay with it to spite you." The Summoner chuckled. "Alright. My current apprentice is soon to be on their own and this saves me the search for a new one."
With the agreement Visha felt relief flood through him. He was accepted. A smile forced its way forward despite him trying to keep it from making an appearance.
"Thank you."
"I'll see you tomorrow morning to meet everyone." The Summoner nodded his head to the boy then turned so that he could continue on his way for the business he had planned for the day.
Visha watched him go and finally let the small smile break into a full on grin. He was beyond excited to know that he would soon be working toward a good future for himself like his siblings.
