Business/Organization Title: The Warband
Owner: Ragnar
Business Location: The Barrens
Purpose: The Warband is a group of fearsome fighters who dedicate themselves to performing "healing raids" across Vykeli - they travel far and wide to (1) perform widespread healing on the land, and (2) rid the land of the scourge of dire rats and catbeasts that they believe to be a plague. Eschewing the comforts of Homewood in favor of living in closer proximity to the Grandfather Tree, these hardened wanderers worship the Tree as their creator and Vykeli as their mother. These entities are said to protect them, and they believe that signs and omens (anything from weather patterns to their success or failure in healing raids) are messages from their deities. They have a particular love for treasure, which they tactically acquire from the rat nests they raid, but most warriors do it either for their love of the fight or a genuine devotion to healing the land.
Anything else? As of right now, membership in the Warband has always come with the unspoken prerequisite of being a noulicorn. The group has a reputation for being fearless in battle. They do not fear death, and indeed, consider it a welcome return to Vykeli's embrace. They are not mercenaries and conduct raids entirely based on where they decide their healing will be most advantageous or their efforts will be most advantageous to the group.
Potential plot fodder:
- The group's reaction to the Bone Crushers (I have an idea for this - they will eventually team up with a couple, causing probably drama both internally and externally)
- Antagonistic fodder for drama and tension with dire rat characters
- Potential issues with Homewooders - They are probably seen as uncouth as best and downright barbaric at worst by nouls born and raised in decent society. Indeed, they brawl, fight and kill with few regrets and are not above using intimidation to get what they want

Business/Organization Title: The Deadhouse
Owner: Hallow & Hollow
Business Location: Ruins of Erli
Purpose: Hallow & Hollow have founded a pack of Bone Crushers. In a morgue. Called The Deadhouse. All Bone Crushers welcome. Mostly. Together they organize hunts and ensure the prosperity of their kind. They keep to the Homewood Agreement. Begrudgingly. For now.
Anything else?
- The Deadhouse provides a safe place for Bone Crushers to hide out, recover and eat
- Together pack members work at piecing together what on Vykeli is going on
- Likely eventually will organize patrols, trying to gain more control of the area
- Likely eventually encourage member to pursue blue crystals
