"So just...that? That's....That's what I'm talking about!" A moment of excitement came over him. He never gets such easy tasks. He stepped over slowly and stood in front of the counter where the glass was set. Xian lifted his hands up to where it sat and hovered his palms just an inch away from the glass. "So I just do Ren and see what happens?" This was so easy!

Just as soon his aura began to flow heavily into his hands, a high pitch ringing could be heard emanating from the glass. As more aura poured into the hands while he steadily increased the flow, the higher pitch the ringing got. It started to hurt, but Xian couldn't seem to stop increasing his Ren. The ringing stopped getting louder at a point just before it was unbearable, the vibrations that the glass seemed to be producing start to crawl up through Xian's arm. Now he was pulsing with non-stop vibrations. He couldn't believe what was happening. What was this test really? The vibrations increased until he almost couldn't take it anymore, but he couldn't stop his aura from flowing out. Something was pulling his consciousness away from him and his vision began to fade. Just before he thought he couldn't take another second, the glass split in two right down the middle and perfectly through the stem.

Xian's conscious came zooming back to with the splitting of the glass. He blinked several times in rapid succession while he was processing what just occurred. "D-did... Did you hear that ringing?" He couldn't keep his attention off of the glass as he spoke. He had no idea what just happened and felt like he needed some explanation. "And what was this test anyway? I nearly passed out while that was going on!" Answers were needed now. Xian felt completely unstable, like he was going to split on his uncle. He'd never shouted things at the man in his life, but his uncle had definitely seen it happen to others before.

"Well I'll tell you what, I didn't hear any ringin'. But if something insane like that just happened to you, then it means you're a Specialist. I just saw you doze off like you always do. Couldn't have been more than twenty seconds of you blinking funny." Hong pulled out another cigarette and popped it in his mouth, lit it, then continued. "But what you just did was discover what type of Nen user you are by exercising Hatsu. Your Nen is so powerful that it sliced the glass in two. Your first course of action should be going and training to figure out exactly what your Hatsu can really do."

[ Ooc: You Nen training is done! I'm gonna update the codes for profile updates then let you know when to go for an update. You can post for what your uncle says and does but your nen training is over til you hit Level 6. ]

"Well I've never quite seen a reaction like that" Uncle Hong got up from the nearby table and approached the split glass. He bent over to get a better look as he examined it. "Looks like it was split clean in half down the exact center. It even snapped that way through the steam and the base. That's gotta be some sort of indication of how you're supposed to use your abilities. What you've done is triggered your Hatsu to awaken through this exercise. I believe that I can train you to use the basic abilities of your Hatsu, but the rest you'll have to figure out for yourself." Hong stared at what seemed to be Xian's very soul. He a stern look about this that was all serious. It was the usual look that Xian's uncle gave him.

"If you're promising some training, then I'm in. You know I can never back down from that kind of offer." Xian smacked his left fist into his other palm and grinned. He'd just had his first taste of what using nen was like. He was in it for the long haul now. Nen training would become part of his daily regimen until he can say that he's mastered his abilities. "Are we going to use the back area of the house or head somewhere else?" Xian looked to his uncle for an answer. He was ready to get started with this training right away.

"We'll head to the jungle nearby. I'm sure that you can handle the training, but it's best we do it further out from the village. I don't want discover you're able to burn down the tavern when we're within eyesight of it. Follow me, we'll continue once we get to the forest." Hong left the broken glass mess on the counter and beckoned Xian to follow him out the back door. As the two left, they would head to the nearby jungle. There were lots of dangerous beasts in that place so Xian would have to be careful during their training. The last thing he'd want to do is spook a foxbear.
