Chie felt disproportionately proud. Her chessmaster gambit worked in allowed her the small victory over the famed jonin puppeteer. Even if it was something trivial, it did make all of the issues she had with him seem easier to swallow. He may be a god, but at least he wasn't infallible. "Mission sounds good! I've actually been interested to see puppetry in person." She said. For some reason, she felt oddly attracted to that combat power. In her slightly drunken state, she almost feels like she can remember a memory which doesn't exist about that style. Oh well! Now it was time to have fun. Chie left her money on the table to pay for her shots. It was more than enough with enough for a healthy tip. She wanted to make it seem like she was interested in the bartender so that he was less suspicious of her the next time she returned. As she exited, she took in the sight around her. A good deal of time seemed to pass, and there were people both in the street and hanging around the buildings above them. What a beautiful world.

Saying they're gonna flood the village if the Kage doesn't give them some spoils." When Tetsuhiko caught that he immediately opened the door and stepped out. "We have to go to the Caldera." Kanzaki dipped into a ramen shop and ducked under a curtain by the door. He'd sit down on the floor, lean against the wall, and place his weapons in fuuin seals on his arms. He leaned his head down, closed his eyes, and conked out. He hadn't trained that hard in ages, without he comfort of the dogs, so he was extra tired, yet completely still. While dreaming he started to dream of his goals. He was supposed to be a master chef by now. A doctor of psychology. A master of ninshuu. Yet today he was just an animal sage, with no animals. So what had he done with his life, as he examined in his semi-controlled dream. He ignored the presence of Bahamut and the snowy mountain plains. Kya was now far too important for the likes of him, learning her own lessons to make his scarring meaningless. So here he was with just his partner, Kaoru. To this day she had no training other tan talking. He needed to teach her to keep herself safe, but should that fail and he lose her, well, he couldn't live with himself anymore. It would be time them to embrace the edge lord Uchiha he had sworn never to be. But at the rate things were going, they'd be fine for now. He needed to make his own life before anything else. He was kicked suddenly in the foot, woken up and told to either buy something or get out. He countered with one better. He'd work here, and started to talk about his qualifications.

Alright, so Kanzaki was told to make and prepare a dish. He wanted to work at a ramen place, and his signature dish was ramen. It was a shame the Ichiraku people weren't here anymore. No matter! He rushed tot he kitchen and grabbed an apron. [Kitchen Preparation I: 1/2]
The place was filthy, so he set about washing the dishes. Wiped down the counters with rags and alcohol. Got all of the knives out and extorted some sharpening gear from a chef. He picked out the best looking pots and bowls for his set up. [Kitchen Preparation I: 2/2]
Cow bones were placed into a bowl full of water, and he set those aside. Then he took two pots and filled it with water. Then the water was set to boil; one of them quickly, another slowly. He dropped noodles into the slow pot. Lastly the vegetables he needed were set on a counter. [Food Preparation I: 1/4]
He took the cow bones out of the bowl and to the sink. He poured out the water and rinsed off the bones themselves. He put them into the high heat pot of water and closed the lid, letting the bones boil quickly. Kanzaki made sure that he had garlic and onions and leeks nearby. Carrots were refused and told the chef who suggested them to shut up. [Food Preparation I: 2/4]
Once the bones had boiled, he poured them out into the sink and rinsed them off. Using the same pot, he threw more water into it. Then he added the bones and garlic into the pot. After hacking the onions and leeks up he threw those in too. He set them on a low boil, and covered the pot. [Food Preparation I: 3/4]
He had some beef that still needed dealing with. Pork and chicken went better as thin slabs, but for the beef, he chopped it into cubes. Pouring some Worcestershire sauce, wasabi, butter, and soy sauce into a small bowl, he dumped the cubes in there to marinate while the broth simmered. He had time to wait on the noodles, since they were wheat and thicker than most. [Food Preparation I: 4/4]
Instructing the staff to not touch his stuff, he figured he'd check on the Uzukage office and Kaoru, so he hung up his apron and bolted out of the shop.

The esteemed Uzukage would find a long-dead Jounin and his missing-in-action partner sitting at a table viewing the street, underneath the shop's lantern. He was still smoking, having just sat back down after checking on the meal he had started before fetching her. Kaoru barked, shuffling in her seat, but stayed seated."San! Sansansansansan!"Some one was excited. He waved the moment his gaze met her eye, gesturing to the third chair at the table. He didn't think they were at the "sharing ramen at the counter" stage yet. He held out a cigarette for her, gauging her face if she actually smoked now."I guess things are as bad I thought if some complete unknown can get you out of that office. I'm making lunch, so I hope you like beef rame-- I forgot the egg, Kaoru.Dumbass."

San was greeted at the restaurant by a very excited dog and the visage of a supposedly dead man. It was good to see that he wasn't dead, Kya would certainly like to see him again. However San wanted to punch him dead for presumably screwing around for five years. She doubted that he'd done anything worthwhile in five whole years. "Perhaps, I had honestly hoped you were a spy. However your dumb a** trickery means its you. Welcome back by the way." Taking a seat at the table she took the cigarette from him and lit it up with a flick of her fingers. After a long slow drag she exhaled rather quickly. "Wish I had my pipe instead of this s**t... but my comfort not withstanding how are you?" She didn't answer the question about whether or not Ramen was fine, instead she simply laughed at Kaoru calling him a dumb a**. ""

Kanzaki had never been one to stick around. So much so was that the case that San honestly wondered if the man was afraid of her for some reason. Part of her wanted to laugh. San looked down at the pup as she lay in her lap and smiled broadly. Were it not for holding the cigarette in her one hand she would have vigorously scratched the dog behind the ears. Instead she had to opt for playful words. "Well who's a good pupper! Is it you? Do you keep him safe? I bet you do!" All joking aside she listened to his words intently, it was true that Kya was well Kya... but San did still have feelings for the woman. Ones that seemed to be reciprocated. "You know you could get to know other people yo."

OK now San was just asking for it, and Kaoru was bout to let her have it. If this place had allowed dogs on the tables, which she had learned pretty much all human places did not. So she held back and kept her power level at 20%, stepping back and nodding to the slightly condescending query."Not good girl. Best girl. But no keep safe. Boths no get in much ruff stuff nows. It usually hims to get big smack. Kaoru laugh."Kanzaki purposefully ignored San's suggestion of getting to know other people. It was exhausting. You ended up meeting people like Toso. No thanks. He'd let Kaoru carry on while he went to assemble the dish in the kitchen, putting out his cigarette.
Once inside, he'd put on his apron and grab a fork. The bowl of sauce marinade and beef was dumped, the latter being thrown into a pre-heated skillet, letting them cook and brown. He turned off the heat to the noodles, ad not a moment too soon. Those were strained with the quickness, and put into a cool bowl while he dealt with the broth. He'd made enough to last a couple more bowls, but he still strained the food out of it and tossed all of the soggy vegetables and soft, empty bones.
Beef broth complete, he poured some into three bowls. Next he added a healthy handful or three of noodles to each. Then came more onions and leeks, and for Kaoru's bowl he used some peas and carrot chunks and corn. Finally he'd add the beef cubes in equal portions, and a bit of seaweed. The owner chsatised him about the lack of egg, but his cook and presentation were fine by his standards, so he gave his approval. [Actual Cooking (E)]
Little did any of the non shinobi realize that he'd put a bit of his chakra into the meal that he was bringing out after a couple of minutes, a bowl in each hand, one balanced on his right forearm. Kaoru's bowl had the extra veggies, meanwhile Sanae's and Kanzaki's would increase their ability to maintain natural chakra to 9/25ths instead of 1/3 It's stay that way as long as they didn't eat any other chakra foods."Lunch is served. Sorry about the egg."Kaoru sat back down and after a brief pause of prayer in her own native dog language, she dipped her snout in and started eating. Kanzaki plucked four hashi from his hostler, offering two to San."It's a new recipe I'm trying out. Unlike normal beef ramen, this variant is much cheaper."He stuffed his mouth halfway with noodles and beef, giving Sanae a chance to snark or comment or question, before he got to the good part, talking before swallowing."*nom* it also increases the *nom* natural energy you can take it beyond you limit. *nom*Kaoru whimpered and put her paw on the table. A seam of light fizzled into existence in the street just outside the restaurant. It crackled and sparked and then, as if pouring from an unseen space between spaces, a man and strangely ambulatory wolf whisked into existence. "I do wish they'd just let me get to places on my own." He muttered to himself as he nonchalantly flipped his hood back and took in his surroundings. "At least they managed to drop me near food this time." He said in a brighter tone as he realized where he'd ended up.
San had to laugh as Kaoru insisted on being the best girl, that and because of her mentioning that Kanzaki was usually the one to get a big smack. While Kanzaki was gone cooking San ditched the cigarette and began to give Kaoru scratches behind the ear. Eventually the man returned with food. She sniffed the air and took in the wonderful scent of ramen. The smell brought a smile to her face as she realized that Kanzaki probably knew what he was doing. "It's fine, never much liked eggs yo." San was quick to snatch up a pair of the chopsticks from him and dug in. She very much enjoyed the meal until he mentioned the part about natural energy. It soured her mood to think about the fact that she couldn't feel that energy anymore. Something about the demon had corrupted her access to natural energy. "I can't use nature energy anymore..." There was a great disappointment in her voice as her words sounded hollow. Having that connection severed had effected her greatly.

Kanzaki paused mid-chew, just for a moment. There had been no sages in his past life, so its nuances weren't exactly clear to him. He had felt the energy back then when it was still new to him, but five years of adjustment on, it didn't come to him that he didn't feel it from Sanae anymore until she mentioned it. Well this was a good start to a lunch break."Big doggo."Kaoru had seen the entire thing, the appearance of Julianos and friend, turning around in her seat to watch. Kaoru was a welcome distraction for the moment. At first San ignored her since she was probably just commenting on a canine larger than herself however Kanzaki's strange behavior coupled with his comment caused her to turn and look. She didn't recognize the man or his strange dog. More rogues? Troublesome. Kanzaki seemed content to ignore the man for the time being as he continued to ask about her severed connection to nature energy. She didn't want to speak of it in front of the stranger and thankfully she didn't have to as he invited himself over to their table. "What can I do for you?" she asked bluntly, not being one for great pleasantries under the circumstances.
