Misaka could understand Jorel's frustration but unfortunately, this was what they had to work with. However, she didn't appreciate his grumbling about teamwork, "Seriously?" she asked angrily, "If you don't like being in a team then why come with us? Jeez, Jorel, if you have a better plan feel free to go off on your own but I invited you because as guild mates, I thought we would all make a good team for investigation," sparks of electricity crackled around her fingers in annoyance. Taking a deep breath to calm herself, remembering the warnings of her temper from the master, she turned back to Lumina, "Thats awful," she replied, unable to imagine how being turned into a human experiment would feel. To do that to someone would mean you would have to see them as noting more than an object to abuse. Upon mention of activation, Misaka frowned, "I wouldn't be surprised if there was some dark corner of the internet where dark guilds share their findings. Then again, we might be lucky and find out that the guild that hurt you is selfish and doesn't like to share. We can only hope. Either way, you don't have to worry, you're safe with us and we'll never let anyone hurt you again," she said, taking a hold of the light dragon slayer's hand. The lightning mage could overhear Cocoa semi-scolding Miuna about taking their job seriously and laughed, "Of course we can make this fun!" she beamed.
At the hotel room, Misaka dragged everyone into their room as fast as possible to cover her basic plan, "I know we have next to nothing but we're more than capable of gathering more information ourselves and on the subject of owners, the last known owner of the mine passed away two years ago. I'm assuming it was claimed by the local council which is why I tracked down the address of a few of the members so we're going to pay a visit to them tomorrow. Then we're going to do a stake out. If that yields nothing, we can set up cameras of our own. Sound good? Any other suggestions?"

Upon investigation it was found that the barricade put up on the main entrance of the mine had been removed and haphazardly reattached each time. Besides this, fresh crumbled ground and eye-witness accounts, no evidence was found to support the illegal harvesting. All witnesses were deemed to be sound sources of information. "I came because I need the money and these team jobs were the only ones available," Jorel looked back to Misaka despite the fact she showed frustration toward him. "Besides, you know me well enough that I don't like working in teams, yet you invited me anyway," his eyebrow raised at her. "But, I will go to the hotel room with you all to see what meager information the Police gathered, then I'll go off on my own to see what I can find," he said.
In the hotel room, once he placed his duffle bag down, Jorel listened to Misaka's plan. It wasn't a bad plan, but he'd still conduct his own. He looked at the case file and saw how many harvesters there were. 'Five, at the most,' he made a mental note. 'These all occurred within a week, so they must be selling pretty rapidly,' he thought. 'Evening, then afternoon, then early morning. They must not be afraid of being seen. I'll definitely have to be careful. They might go again in the evening, but when I don't know. There's no pattern to the days,' he thought. He'd then turn to leave the room. "I'm going to do my own investigation. My cell phone is on," he went to leave.
Location: Left Hotel room to go to Black Dragon Mining Site
A small dispute was going on between Jorel and Misaka, causing the girl a bit of confusion. Jorel seemed to be pro lone wolf, and Misaka seemed to prefer more if he'd of been more up front about it and doing his own thing instead of following them if he really desired so but she would not wish to hear him complaining the whole way. Finally entering the hotel room, minutes later as the plan was panning out It seemed Jorel had decided in taking his leave from here, going his own seperate ways. "And than there were three". Miuna spoke while not really sure of how she should take the situation. She would want him to stay with them, what if it was dangerous where he was going or if one of the lacrima thieves found him? Miuna wouldn't be able to stop worrying about his well being. But she had a job to focus on.
Miuna watched Misaka explain to Lumina that she would always be there to protect her and keep her safe from those dangerous dark guild baddies. "I got your back too, girl! Don't worry, Misaka's right! No ones going to harm you like that ever again because you got fairy tails protection!! I promise!" She would grin blissfully, before turning to Misaka as she agreed to having fun on the job, therefore proving cocoa wrong. "Yay! This is gonna be so exciting! In your face; Cocoa!" The celestial slayer would tease her small exceed friend while also celebrating the agreement of her guild friend. "Still surrounded by idiots. You all are so hopeless." The small male cat would state, sweat dropping a bit awkwardly.
Miuna would hyperly jump on the bed excitedly, bouncing around and shouting weee! Cocoa would fly to sit in the corner, feeling embarrassed by his own partner. Though Miuna would stop for the moment to listen to Misaka's plan of attack for the mission they had. "Sounds good to me! Maybe we can record the responses of the members too. Also for the steak out, maybe we should take turns staying awake to watch, that way not all of us lose sleep. Just a penny worth of my thoughts, up to you guys. Ill follow however you wanna do it cause I can't think of anything else and I don't really mind what we end up doing. I'm fine with any plans." Miuna would say as she continued pushing her feet up and down on the bed but much more lighter and quieter this time around so she wouldn't bug or inturrupt there careful plans of attack.

Misaka felt her anger building under the surface of her calm facade. She wasn't happy in the least that her offer of teamwork was being thrown in her face. She gritted her teeth as she watched Jorel walk through the door, intending to conduct his own investigation, "You big jerk!" she shouted after him, sparks conjuring around her fingers as the filament in a lightbulb next to her broke, "I swear, he better not be thinking of keeping any findings to himself or I'll send a spark so far up his butt that he'll turn into a human street lamp" she growled before sighing, "Anyway, back to our own plan. Miuna, I don't have the equipment to be able to record anything but I have a good memory and we can always write stuff down. A stake-out is a good idea though so let's rest up and we can start nice and early tomorrow morning," she smiled, "Dont jump on that bed too much. I don't have the money to pay for a replacement if you break it," she warned, getting changed into her pyjamas and hopping into bed.

Misaka stretched her arms above her head as she lead the way through the town to the house of the first council member, "I have a list of questions I wrote out this morning before we left. In regards to information from the council members, I've decided we need to know who legally owns the mines, who has a say in what occurs with them, is there truly no surveillance, has anyone professional already done a stake-out and if so can we have the notes. In regards to the witnesses, I think we we should ask them for full descriptions of the people they saw, how many for sure, what exactly these people were doing from the tiniest movement to the smallest facial expression and whether they might have overheard anything going on. There must be a big echo down there, the mines are huge. I think that's all we need to ask. If you feel Ive missed anything, feel free to add as I go along. Here," she said, handing a notebook each to Lumina and Muina, one labelled 'speech' and one labelled 'body language'. She would ask the questions, they would note the reactions. Finally reaching the door of the first member, Misaka knocked loudly.
OOC:After this reply, Fox will post with a bunch of answers from the council members and the witnesses so we don't have to do a massive long list of posts for every single person. Also, for Jorel, she's going to do a separate story bit for you since he's gone off alone so after your next post, she'll do a situation for him too.

Jorel heard Misaka yell at him as he left the hotel room. He paid it no mind as he was use to her fussing at him over various things. This was no different. With him he brought his phone, which he made sure was on vibrate, his portable charger in case his phone ran out of juice, and then his wallet with ID and such. He went through that checklist within his mind. Satisfied he was ready to head out, he did.
The best place for him to start was the Mines themselves, but he knew he'd need to get a lay of the land surrounding the Mines to give him a better idea for where they'd enter and exit. They'd likely have heavy equipment and also transport so that entry and exit would have to be easily accessible by larger vehicle. In the lobby of the hotel, he found a map that he skimmed over. There wasn't much in the the way of businesses surrounding the Mines, but he did spot a few that may prove helpful. He couldn't decide whether to check out those businesses then the Mines, or go to the Mines first. "Businesses first," he nodded. Before stepping out of the hotel, he stopped and groaned to himself. "I better loop Misaka, Lumina, and Miuna about what I;m doing," he looked to the front desk and took up a pen. He circled the destinations he intended to visit, One was a grocery store, another a diner, and the third was a hardware store. He took a picture with his phone and sent it to his 'team mates', He would first head to the Grocery Store.....

Question responses for council members:
Councilman #1: "Ownership of the mines was handed to the local council after the owner died. Though it had been passed down for generations, he had no family to leave it to. As for what occurs in the mines, the answer to that is nothing. Not including the recent break-ins, they've been untouched since the ban on harvesting dragon lacrima. There used to be cameras that the previous owner installed but they were removed as assets to settle his debts. It was discussed a while ago about putting surveillance back in place to keep people out but we went without incident for so long that we saw no point. Clearly that was a mistake. The odd thing is, the death of the previous owner wasn't common knowledge. He was very private and hardly anyone knew him. No fuss was made and yet it was almost as soon as ownership was passed to us that the illegal activity began. These people must have been watching and waiting a very long time to know exactly when it was safe to move in. I'm afraid we pinned our best hopes on you as professionals." (This councillor is willing to give any detailed information that he can in order to help the investigation) Councilman #2:"The council own the mines and they're basically useless to us. I don't know why they weren't properly shut off once the ban was put in place, then this sort of thing wouldn't have happened. We did discuss such plans as well as plans for surveillance but nothing was ever actually done since no one until now had even looked twice at them. These people must have been keeping a mighty close eye on the place because it was almost straight after the last owner died that they began this blatant crime. Only you Fairy Tail wizards are the professionals we've hired, no one else."(This councillor is very annoyed with the situation but doesn't have an issue ranting all of his information) Councilwoman #1: "The council own the mines. As you may know after speaking to the other councillors, there is unfortunately no surveillance on the area anymore. It was decided that there was no point putting it back. I can't say I paid attention to the timeline between the removal of the cameras and the arrival of the criminals but I suppose it was fairly soon after. Maybe they'd been watching. You're meant to be the hired professionals."(This councillor seemed very nonchalant about the situation and didn't seem to want to divulge any detailed information)

Witness #1 & #2"Everything we know was written down by the police - we were the ones that witnessed these people twice because we take the same scenic jogging route every day." (witness #1 will retell the same story that is written in the case file with no story change and are very cooperative) Witness #3:"I already told the police everything. I don't know any more than that. I saw three people in the afternoon, I think they were all men and they all had sacks full of lacrima. That's all, OK?"(this witnesses story has changed and she seemed eager to get away from the team)

In 'Taylor's General' grocery store: Jorel will find several shoppers and a man behind the till who happens to be one of the witnesses listed in the case file. He could be recognised by his name badge. (See Witness #1 for reference, he is #2)
In 'The Miner's Diner': There will be several groups of people eating and two waitresses. Stories spread quickly in small towns and diners are popular, there's a group of teenagers talking about going down to the mines to catch the criminals themselves; a stupid idea for such young people who could run into trouble.
In the 'Ace Hardware' store: This is a family-run chain store. The owners know their regulars from their strangers with a good memory for odd newcomers. They aren't very trusting of people outside of the town and the man in charge doesn't really want to give anyone straight answers about previous customers.

Jorel's first stop was Taylor's General. It was the closest and seemed to be the most promising. He walked in and was referred to a man by the name of Logan Row. It seemed that he was one of the witnesses in the Case File. "Dead end," he groaned to himself. "Thank you for your time," he waved to him. He then looked to the map that he marked and saw the Ace Hardware would be the next logical choice. He took out his phone and text Misaka...
"Taylor's General was dead end. Moving on to Ace Hardware".
He then made his way over there.
At the Hardware Store, he looked around for the Owners. "Excuse me? he called out. "Any one here?" he walked further in to the store. "I'm from Fairy Tail and I have a few questions".

Ace Hardware Store
Hearing the bell on the door ring, the owner of the Ace Hardware Store leaned out of his small staff room. The young man he spotted wasn't a familiar face and he instantly felt defensive. What was ANOTHER stranger doing here? Upon hearing the dark-haired man call out, the owner begrudgingly entered the main store, "Can I help you?" he asked bluntly.

Jorel turned his attention to the store Owner. He heard the defensive tone in his voice. In order for Jorel to get what he wanted, he'd have to soften the man's defense. So, being as polite as he could be was the remedy. "Hello Sir, how are you?" Jorel put on a pleasant smile on his face as he approached the man. "My name is Jorel Nyota and I'm a Wizard of Fairy Tail," he stopped a few feet short of the Owner. "I, among some of my guild mates, are investigating some illegal digging going on at the Black Dragon Site," he motioned his head in the direction of the mines. "I was wondering if you saw any other suspicious characters come in to this store on.....," he tried to remember the dates in the case file. "the 12th, 17th, and 19th of March. Any bit of information you can give would be greatly appreciated, sir," he took out his phone and opened an app to take notes. "Oh, and do you have any security cameras outside or inside of the store?" he looked around for any cameras.

The shop owner scoffed, "Yeah, of course I know about the digging and I know you're here because I'm one of the best stores for buying stuff to carry out a task like that," he said, fully aware of the reason for Jorel's presence. He narrowed his eyes at the young man, "Suspicious? Depends what you mean by that. I find anyone new suspicious, especially your kind," he said with a frown, indicating towards Jorel's mention of wizards, "Not saying they were all magic-users but when someone turns their hand to iron to test one of my products on their skin, it ain't right. It's what I would call suspicious. You do anything like that? 'Cause if you do, I don't want any of that funny business here," he said firmly, clearly unhappy. He wasn't a mean man but he was harsh and honest. Wizards worried him, plain and simple. He believed they were too powerful for their own good and only capable of bringing bad fortune, "For years we've never had any crime bigger than a bit of shop-lifting but now, since these men and wizards showed up, they're nothing but trouble," he stated. A woman appeared in the staff room doorway. She'd heard the conversation between Jorel and the man and sighed heavily, placing her hands on her hips, "Seriously, Dad, you are so rude. This young man clearly wants to help stop this crime and you're being nothing but standoffish," she shook her head disapprovingly before turning to Jorel, "Yes, there were some suspicious men here. Six of them. All around the same age; mid-twenties to early thirties and they bought all the stuff you would expect someone to buy if they were mining. They came here before this whole thing started. I guess they knew if they came back more than once, we would find it odd and easily put the two together. One of them definitely used magic, as my dad said, he turned his arm into solid metal. And yes, we do have footage. I'll make you a copy right away," she said, running into the staff room. She spent 5-10 minutes transferring the files from the day the men visited, giving Jorel the whole day's worth as she couldn't remember the time in which they'd arrived. She handed over the memory stick with a smile, "I really appreciate that you're trying to help. I don't want this town gaining a reputation for illegal activity, especially since it's likely the men you're looking for were at this store in particular. It would be terrible for business," she laughed sheepishly.
On the tape, Jorel will find... Six men walking into the shop just after 1pm. All making sure to avoid looking up or in the direction of any cameras, shielding their faces with hats and sunglasses. Between the men they bought: Hammers x5 Chisel sets x5 Pry bar set x1 Portable work lights x3 Hard hats x10 Knee pads x5 All of these items clearly connect to the crime being committed at the mines. Whilst talking to the shop owner at the counter, one of the men does indeed turn his hand into solid metal in order to tap a hammer against it, testing its strength. The men have left the shop by 1:20pm, obviously wanting to be in and out as quickly as possible which is probably what made them so suspicious.

Jorel intently listened to the Owner of the store until his daughter made her presences known. It was a relief to find someone a bit more cooperative. Actually, more than a bit, she actually gave a lot of information. He took note of their ages, how many there were, even the fact that one of them used a form of transformation magic. All of this he sent to Misaka's phone. The memory card he gladly took. "Thank you so so much for your cooperation. Fairy Tail is on the job," he grinned to them and left the store.
Outside, he took the memory card and placed it in to his phone to download the file. He watched what they bought. "They're definitely the ones," he saw that they deliberately hid their faces. "Six of them entered, but why ten hard hats?" he thought aloud. "Maybe there are ten of them," their numbers disturbed him. There were only a few Wizards from Fairy Tail, but then again he could use Gemini to to duplicate himself. After viewing the video, he forwarded it to Misaka's phone. "Seems like I got all that I need from this stop. Good thing I came here," he then thought to the other place, the Diner. "Maybe I should stop by there," he thought aloud. It was settled that he should, so he made his way there.

Miuna was seriously enjoying herself, jumping all up on that bed like there was no tomorrow; even purposely touching the ceiling to force herself to feel slightly taller now that she could actually reach it. The words Misaka said though still managed to reach her ears, shivering at such a thought of being shocked right up your A whole. "Whoa Misa; that's hella scary. If he does pull one over on us though, we should just totally humiliate him somehow!" Miuna didn't mind getting back at Jorel if he kept any information to himself, though shocking the living hell out of him seemed just a bit overly extreme. She however didn't mind humiliating him soo bad that he'd never be able to show his face around town for a while. But only if he would try one on them, she wasn't a monster after all. Miuna would continue to listen as Misaka explained how there plans would go down. "Good memory, sounds good enough to me! I' got notepads if we need any! Yayy steak out! Double yay sleeping in a super comfy hotel bed!" She would shout so excited, not even thinking of any of this mission as 'work'. Though the mention to be more careful on the whole jumping on beds thing made her land on her butt onto the bed; thankfully a very soft landing to her tushie. "My bad, I promise I won't break it." Miuna would smile whole heartily, putting her pajamas on as well and pushing herself under the covers before falling silently asleep. Cocoa would sleep on the end of the bed, curled into a tiny kitty ball.
To the next day ~ Miuna followed Misaka through the town; exploring and sight seeing every speck they passed by until they would reach the first house to hit. "Wow you plannin ahead; yay for smartness!" Miuna cheered as Cocoa would hover above the group and roll his eyes. She accepted the notebook, beginning to draw doodles in it instead of actually coming up with plans of her own. "Seems to me like you came up with all the questions! I don't think there's anymore to ask." She would state reassuringly; trying to come up with a question to add but failing in doing so. Once the group would reach the first door of the house, after Misaka would knock; Miuna would shout. "HELLO? IS ANYONE HOME?" Her phone would suddenly beep with an alert; taking it casually out of her pocket and looking at the text Jorel had sent all of them. She'd shrug, putting the phone back in her pocket. Jorell should of just stayed with the group; she didn't feel like answering since he totes felt like ditching his own team members. Still; that felt mean of her; however she was quite busy upon reaching the first home so she just put it off for now. Plus, it wasn't really anything she could answer.
After talking to the last person on their list, Misaka sighed loudly, "Well, that was certainly enlightening," she said, going through the notes that Muina would have written down, "Some of those council members left much to be desired in the manners department, am I right?" she scoffed, "Setting that aside, some of these witness statements have changed a lot. The first person we spoke to confirmed her and her boyfriends story but the second one... she couldn't wait for us to leave. Her story didn't match in the slightest so I have a feeling that maybe she lied. I know some people will pretend to be a part of something they're not so they'll be seen as cooler or more knowledgable, like telling people you're best friends with a pop star. Except in this case she wanted to be one of the only people to have seen the first real crime this town has seen in years," she frowned, "I think we should ignore her statement and stick with the first person. I know that leaves us with less info to go on but I'd rather be accurate. On the plus side, we have whatever Jorel just sent me which is sure to help, don't you think?" she said, looking to the celestial dragon slayer with a smile. As she turned her head, she could see someone walking behind them. It wouldn't normally be an issue, it was a street and people walked on streets, but this person was dressed in clothes that hid their body shape, sunglasses even though it wasn't sunny, a baseball cap and whilst it looked like he was texting on his cell phone, it was tilted much higher up, almost like he was..., "Lets go this way," Misaka said, grabbing Muina's arm and yanking her down an alleyway before breaking into a run and dragging her into a diner, "Sorry to pull you about that but that person was definitely following us. I'm sure he was taking pictures too," she peeked out of the window to find no one was there, "He's gone," she said, turning to look for a seat and spotting a familiar face, "Oh, hi Jorel!"

"Well, well, look who it is?" Jorel gave a smile while slipping his hands in to his pockets. "How have your meetings gone?" he gave a smirk to Misaka and Miuna. "I went to the Grocery Store and then I went to the Hardware store," he said. "I actually got a ton of info from the Hardware store," he looked to Misaka almost rubbing it in that his plan to separate worked. "Did you get the text and file I sent to your phone?".
