Ohmarow said when it became to much to ignore. "He agreed to sell the sword for its scrape metal value if you can defeat him in a battle." Ohmarow set down the necklace he'd been examining to instead examine his grandmother. "Ok so what, I beat him you get the sword and we go back to Slateport. No big deal." Naname turned pale in the face. Like shed ust seen a ghost. "He's a former frontier champion Ohmarow." Even Ohmarow had to give pause at this revaluation. Frontier brains where nearly elite four level trainers. Those few able to defeat them where among the most skilled and powerful trainers around. "The consolation is he's only using one of his pokemon to three of yours. Look i know aim asking a lot from you with this but~" "I'll do it." Ohmarow interrupted. He didn't need a reason to challenge the man after learning who he was. The ability to test his skills againt someone as renowned as a frontier brain wasn't a chance he could pass up.

Ohmarow had to think for a second of just who he could use to weak this monster of muscle. "Lets go Volwa'gor !" It made logical sense. If this thing used phyical attacks like he thought it might then its available moves would be limited more over if it had to make contact this the Ferrothorn would have a nasty surprise in store for it. "Do you think i don see wha y'ahr playing at ? Swampert ah very powerful physical pokemon. We hit tha spiky wall an tis us who pay da price." Bolg boosted. Ohmarow braced himself expecting an ice beam but instead. "Rock Slide !" So it was specked for phyical combat, perfect. "Curse !"

╠═══════════════════════════════════════════════╣ Ohmarow would have been surprised at the mans choose of attacks had he not expecting as much. It seemed catching him unaware wasn't going to make this match any easier he was a veteran after all. He probably knew most of the regular tricks people used. Ohmarow have to build up Ferrothrons Defense and work on wreaking and tiring this Swampert down enough to get its trainer desperate to make for a for a divisive victory. It was at that key point that Ohmarow would counter attack. Ohmarow and the old man traded blow for blow between the pokemon with Ohmarow playing on the defensive until he had worked out an opening. Ferrothorn struck the first times it could be in the end the Swampert proved to much. But he hadn't gone out without trading a few pasty tricks for Bolg's power house attacks. In the end Ferrothorn had nearly tired the Swampert out completely. "Go Shina'me !" Ohmarow called out releasing the Durant. Its odd apperance seemed to catch the crowd a little more then the prolonged battle. Bolg's was certainly enjoying himself. It was like he'd not had a good opponent in years or something though his smiled lessened at his Swampert Beat the Durant within just two attacks

As the battle progressed Ohmarow came to understand why this man was a former frontier champion. His attacks here calculated and planed to maximize the damage and minimize the risk of counter attacks. His whole strategy with Ferrothorn had been to capitalize on its ability and item, Durant to deal as much damage as he could and Metagross to finish the fight with his strong pokmeon against the considerably tired and hurt Swampart but this battle was far from over. Bolg's Swampert attacked with the most powerful water attack known at the key turning point in the battle just as Ohmarow had assumed he might. The problem now wasn't getting Bolg to play into his hand but to survive the attack. Plaation was living up to his title as the last line because he truly was the last line of defense to win this match. The impact forced Plaation back even braced with all four legs planted firmly in the dirt. The spray of water was blinding even to Ohmarow who was braced behind Plaation taking the brunt of the attack. The attack left a scare in the Arena floor and Plaation on his last leg. Thankfully Hydro Cannon required the pokemoon to take a moment to recharge. This was their chance. "Plaation now, end this, Meteor mash!" The fact the black Metagross could fight on was as much a surprise to Bolg as it was to his Swampert. Pushing off the ground the Metagross rushed the recovering water type slamming into it like a rock sent fling out of a cannon. Metagross lay limp as did the Swampert. Bolg was left speechless a moment before he found his tongue. "Well, ill be damned." He said losing much if his thick heavy ascent was she spoke close and clear.

Hoping off the train Simon started down the main street seeing all the performers and activities perfectly staged to be the correct era for a real life Renaissance Festival. Street performers, bards even a few jesters danced around the area. Since this was the main area there were the usual games but prize booths as well. The biggest tent was a lottery booth where tickets were given away. Playing the games earned him tickets so he would probably just horde them all until he could get the bigger prizes. Looking at the list he was happy to see an herb that could reset how long it took to train Pokemon up. A few of those were his goals, with that he walked over towards the first game, the bean bag toss. Picking up the first bag he tossed it and missed, chuckling to himself he made the next one. The last one was also a miss though but he still received two tokens for getting at least one in. Thanking the attendant he moved on to the Froakie catapult. Setting the plushie on the board he readied the small mallet and smacked the other side sending it flying. It actually flew seven feet scoring him seven more tokens. Thanking the attendant he moved on, these were really interesting.

The next series off gaming stalls has something to do with smashing plates which seemed easy enough. Of course assuming things makes an a** out of you or however that saying went as he was only able to smash one of the three earning two tokens. Looking embarrassed he smiled and scratched his head before heading to the next game that had to do with firing a crossbow. Taking aim he first one, two, three shots not even looking at his score until he was done. Lowering the crossbow he saw he hit the third, fourth and fifth ring, according to the scoring board he had won six tokens. Much better than any other games he saw there was a Rapidash betting area, behind them was a jousting range and they were calling trainers to place bets before the next joust began.

Soaring through the air, Skye glanced back at Scarlett from atop his fearow. "You said it was near Anvile Town right? Ya think we'll see it from up here?" He shouted over the wind flying past them. "Yeah, it looked pretty big, and there's next to nothing around Anvile, so it should be pretty obvious." She called back. Of course, just as they confirmed locations, they passed over Anvile Town, and a few yards away, sure enough, there was something set up in the usually empty field. "Well would ya look at that! Mighty big festival by the looks of it. You're sure to have a buncha fun there." Skye's fearow dove down, Causing Scarlett to grip the pilot's waist tighter and squeal delightedly as her stomach did flips. She was still laughing after they'd landed, and Skye helped her off. "Ah, that nevar gets old~" Skye shot her an amused grin, adjusting his goggles onto his forehead. "Well dollface, wish I could stay with ya, but I've gotta head back to Mistralton or I'll never hear the end of it." Scarlett chuckled. "Daen't warry, I'll be in good company, alright?" Skye only laughed. "That's what I'm worried about!" Scarlett snorted. "Oh come on neu, that hurts it does. After all we've been through you an' me?" Skye grinned sheepishly, messing his hair a bit. "Awright awright, sorry doll. Just always seems like I don't get to see ya often 'nless I'm busy or you're busy... Y'know. We just keep...." He moved his index fingers passed each other, whistling for effect. He chuckled awkwardly. "I dunno. Can't we ever just, sit, have some coffee or somethin'?" Scarlett's smile faltered. "I'm mare of a whiskey kinda gal meself..." She mumbled, a lame excuse to neither reject or deny his offer, and they both knew it. "Right, but pilots--""can't drink. Company policy.... I know." Scarlett finished. "Speakin' o' which, ya should probably get going...." Skye scratched his head again and sighed. "....Yeah. See ya around." Scarlett winced, watching him saddle up and take off with a light sigh.
She hated when things got... Awkward like that, but it really couldn't be helped. She liked Skye, more than she would like to admit, and unlike most nice guys that she played for saps, Skye was... Different. They had history, and frankly, Scarlett didn't want to get involved because she was scared. The last thing she wanted was to get tied down into something serious. She enjoyed her freedom, and getting that level of involved with her would only spell trouble for him anyways, so she was evading... And evading, and evading.... Scarlett grimaced and rubbed her head. Whatever. She wasn't going to let it bog her down. Not here and now. Zak was on his way, and she had a festival to enjoy. First thing was first through, Scarlett made her way through the gates of the festival and immediately began to peruse the clothing that lined a few of the stalls until she had a nice outfit picked out and purchased along with a wooden lute, which she quickly changed into. The breezy cloth certainly felt nice; she could get used to this attire. Now that she was dressed for the part, while waiting for Zak, Scarlett continued perusing the available stalls where she got a free Water Ball from an apprentice and played a few games to pass the time.

There was so much going on, Ko was fairly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of beauty that surrounded her. She found woman walking around dressed like fairies, and it was absolutely adorable. She wanted to join in, but the best she had was that costume from the haunted house she'd found. It didn't really look like something one would be wearing around here. Deciding against it, she moved on to deeper within the fair, avoiding games for the time being she was on a mission, to hopefully find Ohm, and for awhile she was doing pretty good until she ended up pushing herself into the front rows of a crowd that had gathered to watch a Pokemon battle. Ko's place was behind one of the male combatants. She was unaware this was Ohm right there in front of her. "Oh, He's using a Metagross." Ko stated out loud. She'd come in just as the Metagross was using it's final attack, missing entirely the name that it was called. She joined the crowd regardless, in their cheering for the male who'd won. Ohmnensa cheered happily herself, waving her tiny hands in joy. Meanwhile, Kezia had slipped away, wandering deeper into the fair by herself.

Quickly growing bored of watching the action, Avikna hopped down from her seat on the bleachers and haphazardly lead Mave through fair. It wasn't long before she felt the main entrance just wasn't what she was interested in. Stopping to play a couple games, she managed to do sub par at the catapulting game, but even worse at the plate shattering one. Something had her off her game. 'Hmm?' After placing his bet and waiting for the jousting to begin Simon stood up against one of the fences watching the Rapidash get groomed and the trainers get ready. The fiery Pokemon stomped their hooves as the 'King' told everyone they were ready to begin. Simon watched as the first two Rapidash jousted against each other, then the next two. The winners then went and the game was over, taking his ticket over he received two tokens as his pick had come in fourth place. The last area was bobbing for berries, getting in line he watched as trainers dunked their heads and attempted to get some berries in a certain time limit. When it was his turn he managed to get six which meant six tokens and six berries of his choice. Drying himself off he asked for half Oran berries and half Lum.

Before heading off to check out the rest of the fair Simon wandered up to the Ticket booth reading the rules, "Excuse me, it says I can trade items for tickets to the lottery? I have some Halloween items I wont be using and some plates to turn in." He chuckled, "So not going for the plate lotto since I'm trading these in. Could I have tickets for the legendary lotto and the TM one?" Looking through his pack he looked up at the attendant again. "I have four Litwick Lickerish, five Duskull Sugar Skulls, two Pumpkaboo Pie and then nine different plates which I think would make eighteen tickets. If you want to count again for me that would be great as well. If that's correct I'd like nine tickets for the TM lotto and nine for the legendary one." He smiled waiting to see if he was doing this correctly or not. The woman smiled, "You can only put in three per lotto so give me six of the Halloween items you have," Simon did so and waited for her to hand back the tickets. The first one was 455, then 185 and finally 530 for the legendary lotto. Then for the TM lotto he got three more tickets, 338, 6 and 232 for the TM lotto. Thanking her he walked away.

She had half a mind to whip out loraine and start firing at the plates, but she knew better than to cause a scene if she actually wanted to stay and have her date with Zak. Huffing and blowing some hair out of her face, Scarlett was about to storm off, when the clerk spoke up. "Miss?" Scarlett shot a steely glare at the boy. "What?" She asked pointedly. "Perhaps you might fare better luck with this game?" He stepped over into the booth next door, a crossbow shooting range. Scarlett brightened at that. Yes, this she could do. "Oh? Yes, thank you, I think I'd like to give it a try." Scarlett took up her position behind the stationary crossbow and signaled that she was ready. The moving targets were a bit more difficult to shoot, so it took her a few shots, but the third shot was pretty close to a bullseye, so Scarlett was satisfied. She took her tickets, and felt her wrist buzz with a new message from Zak.

After waiting for Lidia to take her shower, Zak had worked to get ready himself. He also got a reply from Scarlett, giving more specific directions on where to meet, and sent a short reply telling her that he would be there soon. First, though, he wanted to get a... costume for the fair. That was what people did at those things, right? Dress up? Not that he was going to be going as any hokey prince or anything like that. 'Renaissance' wasn't really a theme for him, so he would go ahead and just... pick his own. He'd wing it when he got there. Mostly, though, he was poking fun. If anyone knew him, they'd assume it was at the sheer idea of all this dress up and roleplaying, but it was actually in shared humor. He didn't hold it against people to dress up and play the part, or just to have fun. Renaissance just wasn't his style.
He had most of what he needed by the time Lidia was ready to go-- she thoroughly rolled her eyes at him when she saw him-- but they grabbed a few things as they headed out. Arriving, she dropped him off to the entrance, giving a slight sneer and telling him not to be too much of a jerk, before taking off with Sal again. He grinned, stretching his arms over his head. How could he not do that? Being a jerk was practically a habit of his. Still, though, he did have a particular target in mind, and that was finding Scarlett. For the time being he had his belongings with Deys, who he let out and handed his bag to once he arrived, which included, for the time being, his egg. He also let Daeva out so she could stretch her legs a bit, the dragon lizard opening her maw in a grin as she inhaled all the different smells. Having the two impressive beasts with him let him throw his weight around a bit-- though the 'gun' on his back also helped-- and kept what few crowds were around, parted, so that he could look around.
Catching a flash of red hair, he quickly stopped, leaning back and grinning as he recognized it. Unless he was mistaken, that was Scarlett. As he got closer, trying to approach from behind, but curving around to try and glimpse her face, he became more certain of it, and fell into pace behind her, striding along to come up behind, placing one hand on her shoulder, and appearing at her other side with a smirk. Scarlett moved towards the front gate, getting a text soon after sending hr last one, confirming that Zak was on his way. She smiled, picking up her pace until she spotted a racing board. There was a rapidash race going on in the fields nearby, and a young girl was calling out for people to place their bets. Scarlett couldn't help it, she wanted to take a gamble and pup some money on the first fire type. Unfortunately the rapidash she picked ended up placing fourth, but at least it garnered her two tokens. It was better than nothing, like those stupid platters. She had wasted enough time here, and continued moving back towards the front archway, expecting that she would see Zak flying in soon. Much to her surprise though, she heard Zak speak up next to her, causing Scarlett to whirl around with a charming smile. "A stór~" She greeted back, though she had to take a minute to look over his attire and pokemon bodyguards keeping the crowds away and laugh. "Just fresh from the war I see." She grinned. That was certainly not what she expected. not that she could really see Zak trying to wear poofy pants, but this was certainly not his normal attire, at least as far as she knew. "Were ya worried I'd stir up some trouble? Are ya gonna be me personal bodyguard?" She asked with lighthearted curiosity, digging out her badge case and popping it open for him to see. "I told ya, I've got me four badges neu, have a little faith." She smirked, drawing closer. "Though... I suppose I do love a man in uniform..." She murmured, eyeing the gun on his back. Zak couldn't help the laid back, confident smirk on his face as Scarlett greeted him in return. That smirk only grew at her little observation, and he stepped back, holding his arms out and giving a tilt of his head. "You like? I feegured I vould dress up to my own liking. Renaissance just... esn't really my style," he remarked in a slightly joking, but slightly smug tone. He was well aware he stuck out quite a bit here, and evidently, he just did not mind at all. That smile turned into a bit of a grin at her own guesses to the purpose of his outfit, and he placed one hand on his hip, tilting his head to the side as he did. "Vell, I do have a history uv saving you, don't I?" he pointed out in return. He dropped his arms to his side, one hand lifting up to place his sunglasses atop his head as she brandished her badge.
"Mm, looks good," he remarked in amusement, drawing back. He decided not to accuse her of stealing it, not even playfully, at least for now. She probably had earned it, considering that she could have got it much quicker if she just wanted to steal it. "Zat said, I vouldn't say I have much fais," he started, a bit teasingly, wrapping an arm invitingly around her as she drew closer. "But zen, I'll just have to keep my eye on you... He smirked, glancing briefly back at the gun as he noticed her gaze linger back to it. On the off chance that the authorities were here, he didn't want to be getting arrested for carrying dangerous firearms and endangering the public, blah blah blah. He kept what weapons he did have concealed.
Lifting a hand to her chin, he smirked back down at her, letting her question linger a moment. "... Yes, I sink you've more zan earned your reward," he decided, before moving back. Currently, two of the four pokemon Zak had sent to look for the prize booth, were confused. That 50% was composed of Sotnik, and Rufflet, both of whom frowned as Meebus informed them that they should go ahead and play some of the games as they passed. Zak had specifically told them to check the prize booth first. Boo didn't seem to really care either way; she was too busy wiggling up close to Meebus and cooing happily, though the rotom, still in heat form, seemed oblivious to this. Visage glitching a bit again, he went about gathering tokens by playing some of the games, oddly requesting Boo to hold his heat plug, and allowing him to resume his normal appearance. 'Nik seemed less than pleased at the rotom's forward behavior; Rufflet simply seemed skeptical. This didn't seem particularly normal for a pokemon...
