Chloe would hear Mizuki out, though her pea sized brain would think nothing of it, other than drawing a very blank stare. The girl seemed to be more worried about other things regarding thieving, like them turning into murderers if pushed far enough to resort to such a tactic. "Who's gonna attempt to murder a princess? That's like saying HEY COPS, PLEASE ARREST ME YA?" She would tell the girl, questioning her views and than shouting to prove what she meant, everyone in the room suddenly turning to look and stare as soon as she would speak super loudly. Though she would not notice the stares, and even more she would continue to keep pushing away Mizuki's fears, continuing to believe that it would or could never happen. "My dad is aware of everything, it's actually kind of weird how! He'll know how to strike out! Kapow!" She would say, punching the air in front of her excitedly, she knew her dad knew a lot about every region, knew everything what was going on and even knew where she was most of the time. She wasn't sure if he had some power to track her or something, how he always knew where she was she'd never know! Though it wasn't a power, she didn't realize this but there was a small chip on her clothing, which would help keep track of her from any of the guards within the caste grounds, even now they could see her through a camera lens. The guards knew Mizuki was of a trusted one, so they would watch and hope the two would stick around for a long while, maybe even to teach Chloe not to be so openly trusting or think that the world was ever so peaceful, nothing simply could befall anyone that would cause aching. She seemed to blow off the fact anyone would want to kill her or anyone else, and all the guards wished she'd understand that's not exactly how the world works.

"I'd rather not have guards crowding around me all the time, it happened one time and I had to tell them to get out of my freaking way. Omgish, how can someone move around and sight see with people crowding around all the time! Seriously, I need my space here!" Chloe would add on her opinions about having guards follow her around, which was really annoying in its entirety. "Do you enjoy having guards crowding you?" She would question with a deep wonder, staring into her teal blue eyes still unaware she were a princess, just assuming she had some too, with the way she was speaking of residing in a kingdom as well. "Blue is all I need, she keeps me good company!" The Fiore princess would smile, petting her wolf gently around her fuzzy head. "No, we'd be fine! Who's really gonna attack us?" She would question as if that couldn't possibly ever happen, and that people like that didn't exist. Not only that, but someone physically powerful. Chloe would watch as Mizuki was worried about her crazy experience she would of managed to pull through in the end, much more barely. "Maybe you just got unlucky. I haven't seen anyone out here like that in a while, uh, can we stop talking about this please?" She would genuinely ask, stabbing her fork into her salad bowl. She didn't like talking about scary related topics, or anything that would make her feel kind of uncomfortable to hear about. She figured it was just bad luck that the girl actually got attacked like that, but it didn't seem all too likely to ever happen very often. Even more, she didn't really wish to hear about that anymore. It was kind of killing the mood, not only that but she didn't wish to think of the matter. Though Chloe had hoped Mizuki would not be mad or upset with her for asking that simple question, it was of no offense to the princess, just that it kind of bothered her to talk about that, especially in a public area where anyone might overhear. She watched as the girl played around with her scarf again, thinking nothing of it.

The topic soon moved onto there family, even though Chloe would not openly admit it, she was actually quite jealous that Mizuki had a mother to still love and care for her. She would miss her own mother ever so much everyday, and hearing anyone talking about there own mother would kind of upset her, even make her feel something as odd as jealousy. Mizuki would eventually also bring up how they had three kids, assuming she had two siblings aside from herself. "Oh! What are your siblings like? I had an older brother, but I dunno what ever happened to him. He was kind of annoying anyways." She would shrug it off, thinking nothing of it or where he could possibly be. She really didn't care to wonder, she kind of blamed him for a lot of events and even running away from the castle, he would seem to not care either. Though she didn't want to talk about herself, rather she wanted to hear all about Mizuki's siblings and who they were! Though Chloe would not catch on so easily to Mizuki's hinting at disliking speaking of that, she would need so much bigger and easier to understand clues. "For the pretty views of course!" She would speak up enthusiastically, speaking of all the pretty sight seeing one could do in Fiore after the girl asked what she thought she was doing out here in Fiore. There were a lot of pretty places to go around here, she had never been out in any other regions because her family would never allow it; so she wasn't sure what other regions were out there or what they even looked like. "I hear ya sister, preach it!" The princess would agree with the other princess, having nothing more than fake friends, boring lessons, and feeling completely stuck in a living hell hole with no where to go; living the same boring endless day.

Chloe's interests would soon perk up, upon the mention of slipping into passageways instead of windows. "Aw, I dunno where to find a passageway! I'm going to have to find one now; since you mentioned it!" She would wink right back playfully, eventually going to return back someday and go search for one. Surely, this girl could be right, it sounded like much more fun! The topic would soon move onto the fact the girl was complaining about her guildies not letting her earn free money, by basically not doing jack squat to help out on missions. "What's not fair about me getting free money? Besides if it's something they can easily do on there own, why do they even bother needing my help? I don't want to work anyways." She would pout, folding her arms upset at the fact people out there actually wanted her to earn her money, even her dad pushed her to do just that by having her join a guild. She was so used to getting handed money, so she had eventually became spoiled and quite used to that. Though Mizuki would bring up an idea to ask them, she wouldn't make nearly as much as them, but at least it was something and she would not have to work at all in the end. "Would that work? Maybe I'll ask on our next job! Thanks for the tip, sister!" She would smile happily, literally taking on that idea and would see how it goes someday soon. The girl would do just about anything to avoid doing work or boring herself to death, so of course she would accept the girls thoughts on the matter. Mizuki would than begin to continue speaking about the restaurant owner and his worrying. Chloe would listen to her hinted suggestions to help the man feel more at peace and mind. "Ah, what the heck; I guess that's true! I'll tell him when were done, oh better! I'll just slip a note under his tip." The girl would take a pen and paper out of her bag, writing exactly that on the paper and slipping it under a one hundred dollar bill for his tip, leaving it on the center of the table. "Better now?" Chloe would smile at Mizuki, hoping that she would feel better now about causing the owner a bit of grief, since it was easy to tell with all of her questions and expressions held onto her own face that seemed to worry about the man freaking out or feeling very uneasy as the group of employees would watch uneasily.

The princess of Eridani stared intently at the princess of Fiore. She still doesn’t get it, Mizuki released an inward sigh. As much as she wished the girl could see reason, it seemed as if the teenager would simply be wasting her breath. Yet she simply couldn’t let it rest so easily. Chloe might be a bit of an airhead, and extremely naïve, but that made it all the more imperative that she come to understand the dangers of being out on her own. “Listen.” Mizuki huffed. “I know it’s not a fun subject, but it’s important. And I know we’re not exactly friends, having just met and all, but I don’t like seeing people end up in trouble…” She let the silence hang between them for a moment. Her focus on how best to proceed with what she needed to say.

“Not everyone has guards.” Mizuki sidestepped that aspect of the conversation. “But there is a reason for having them. Guards are there to make sure nobody hurts you or your family. Although…” She hesitated. Despite advocating for bodyguards, the teenager could understand the desire to give them the slip and get some fresh air. They could be overbearing at times, especially those in her castle. “I have to admit that I can see how having them around all the time would get oppressive. You wouldn’t need a large contingent though…right?” Mizuki hoped that Chloe might see the advantages or think it through more thoroughly. However, those hopes were dashed when the girl shifted gears back to her own bad experience, stating that she might have simply been unlucky. Her smile waning, the princess slumped in her seat some. Chloe wasn’t happy with the topic, obviously, since she requested a change of subject and refused to recognize the dangers.

She’s about as stubborn as Father is… With a heavy sigh, the cerulean-haired girl gave a nod of resignation. The subject changed yet again to the topic of family. Mizuki nearly jumped at her sudden declaration. “My siblings?” Her lips uttered the question again as her brain processed everything. “Well, they’re twins to start with- a boy and a girl. They make life interesting around the—mansion. Mother and Father seem to think it’s because they try to emulate me or something like that. But I think they just like to cause mischief.” A little twinkle entered her teal eyes while she spoke. Leaning in slightly, she lowered her voice to a conspiratorial level. “Which I’m more than happy to help them with. Anything to alleviate the boredom around that place.” For anyone who paid attention, it was plain to see that Mizuki adored her younger siblings. She wanted only the best for them, would do her best to be a role model for them, and would do anything to keep them safe.

Returning to an upright position, the princess smiled at the continuous shuffling of subjects. “Hmm,” she bobbed her head in acknowledgement of the pretty scenery of Fiore. “That is one reason. Touring the guilds is the other.” They wiled away time discussing the reasons why Sabertooth members wouldn’t enjoy doing all the work and allowing Chloe to claim any of the money. Mizuki expected the princess not to heed her advice on how to avoid their anger at her; yet, to her surprise, the girl appeared to take it to heart, stating that she would ask them on the next job and even thanking her for the notion. “You’re welcome.” She inclined her head, hiding the hint of shock she felt. Maybe there’s hope for her yet. This thought was further strengthened when Chloe surprised her again by writing a thank you note to the restaurant owner. A warm sense of peace filled her core. Kind gestures went a long way in building true relationships, even if it was a customer/provider one. “Mhm,” Mizuki nodded with a bright smile. “Thanks! I’m sure he’ll feel a lot better about things now.”

👑 Chloe would half listen as Mizuki spoke up a bit, explaining to listen closely. Telling her to listen only wanted to make her zone out towards much of what she was about to say; however she decided it would be in her best interest to see what the girl could offer in her words. The topic she dreaded would drag on to what felt like hours, and anything Mizuki said would not be going anywhere close to her own heart or putting forth much thought in the subject. "Don't worry so much! If there's one thing I learned, if there's a will, there's always a way! See no matter what, everything turns out okay in the end as long as you don't lose hope! Just as you did!" Chloe would smile cheerfully, literally sounding like she hadn't heard one word spoken from the Eridani princess. "Guards only get in the way of shopping! It's so annoying having to push them out of the way so you can look at a necklace on display, they should learn to stay out of the dang way." The way the fiore princess spoke about the topic, it was as clear as day she hated being surrounded by guards more than anything, a hint of passion in her tone. "I dunno what a conti-whatever is. But I have Blue, and she's really all I need. At least she gives me space when I'm out shopping. I understand to be grateful or whatever to have guards, but they're just too annoying. But at least you agree with me!" She would smile, hearing Mizuki explain how she could understand not wanting them around all of the time.

Eventually, Chloe had asked Mizuki about the siblings she grew up with. The Fiore princess only had one sibling, one extremely annoying one at that. She didn't really have a sibling she could look up too, she may as well of just been born an only child. "Wowww, twins! I wish I had a twin; I'd make them do all my chores hahaha." Chloe would laugh at her own joke, how awesome would it be to get out of doing her daily chores because she had an awesome twin to do it for her! "I'm sure they do it because they really like you! Might be so nice to have such adorable siblings!" The princess would smile at the very thought, a hint of pure happiness residing across her lips.

The Fiore Princess would nod her head, hearing Mizuki as she twisted her fork around and played with it against her dish. "Eh I dunno bout that; all guilds are already feeling the exact same. There really isn't much difference in any of them." Chloe would shrug, feeling like they all shared so much similarities that they could barely even be considered different from the others. Though not like she really knew too much about them, she didn't get to pick what she desired so she never really got the chance to just tour around and see what they were like, all in all. She was super glad Mizuki had given her that amazing advice, anything to get her out of having to do work was well spent for her. The Eridani princess seemed to be pleased how Chloe would eventually give in to her worrying; and leave a note explaining that the restaurant owner would have nothing to worry about. "No problemo. As long as he keeps doing what he's doing!" Chloe would give a bit of a warning in case he food's taste would dwindle after feeling less worried about losing her restaurant to the cold world of business. She'd prefer not to be eating bland food, or else she'd have to go get her food elsewhere! "So what are we doing after eating?" Chloe would question curiously as to if Mizuki had any of the day planned ahead, and what exactly she might possibly have wanting to head to next. They had already been in the restaurant for a while, and there food was pretty much almost gone. It would probably strike the girl as odd, as Chloe wanted to actually follow her. There weren't many people she actually would choose to follow, but she was just merely bored and talking with Mizu had been pretty exciting. Truthfully, she thought she was going to bore her to death, but that wasn't true at all! She was also curious as to what exactly Mizuki does in a day; hoping it wasn't anything that was going to be boring! Because than she'd probably have to come up with some made up reason to sneak away.

Mizuki listened to Chloe spout off her naïve sentiments yet again. She didn’t listen to a word I said. She blew out a faint breath. Leaning forward, she placed one elbow on the table, cupping her chin in her hand. I guess I’ll have to let it go for now. I’m wasting my breath if I keep trying. The princess decided silently while she listened to the girl jabber on about how guards got in her way all the time and things of that nature. It wasn’t until she complimented Mizuki’s siblings that the cerulean-haired teenager reentered the conversation. “Yeah, they are pretty neat.” Her words were laced with a soft and admiring quality. She truly loved her siblings, despite their tendency to cause trouble. She constantly found herself thinking of them and how they might be fairing in the castle without her. While the princess knew they weren’t in danger, part of her felt guilty for leaving them behind when she ran away to become a mage. “I hope they aren’t mad at me for leaving them behind in the castle like that.” Mizuki muttered gently. It took her a moment to realize that she had said it loud enough for Chloe to hear if she were to pay attention.

Recognizing what she’d done, Mizuki swiftly jumped onto Chloe’s assumptions about the guilds of Fiore. “I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I’ve heard that they’re all really different.” The teenager held up her hands as she ticked off the various guilds and their reputations. “Sabertooth is the more serious one of the bunch, though they’ve gotten a lot more relaxed than what they used to be. Blue Pegasus is the oddball one with a lot of models and stuff joining their ranks. Mermaid Heel is an all-female guild, which is a pretty neat idea honestly. Then you’ve got Lamia Scale, which is also a fairly serious group, but with a good sense of humor. And then there’s Fairy Tail. Their reputed as the most destructive yet fun-loving and loyal guild out there. Of them all, I’m most curious about visiting Blue Pegasus, Sabertooth, and Fairy Tail. Depending on how things go, I might be interested in joining one of them.” Mizuki shrugged once she finished detailing her ideas and plans for the guilds. Honestly, she would be surprised if the Fiore princess hadn’t zoned out from her ramblings.

Taking a sip of water, the Celestial Spirit Mage would give a nod of thanks to Chloe for finally understanding her concerns and taking action to put the restaurant owner at ease. However, the girl’s next words caused her to stop in her tracks in surprise. “You, uh, want to go with me?” It wasn’t that she minded the company. Oh no, it definitely wasn’t that. But Mizuki didn’t have a clue as to what she would be doing after lunch. Her mind had been running on one-track, and that was to obtain food. Planning for anything after that point had been placed on the backburner. “I mean, you’re more than welcome to. It’s just that I don’t really know the area that well and I was pretty hungry…so I didn’t plan anything out.” She motioned to Chloe with a wave of her hand. “Do you have any suggestions?” Please don’t say shopping. Mizuki added in afterthought. She disliked shopping unless absolutely necessary, or unless it was for things that she enjoyed. While she wouldn’t mind the latter, she wanted to keep hold on the jewel she had in case of an emergency.

                          • Had it been any other day, or any other boring conversational pieces, Chloe would have missed that very important piece of information Mizuki had accidentally shared out loud. Unfortunately for the other princess; she had been bored enough to be listening to every word she said. Her mouth remained wide open in a bit of confusement, this girl led her to believe she was just a rich passerby-er; not someone who resided within a castle just as she did. It was shocking news to say in the least, something she hadn't really been expecting. "Castle? I thought you lived in a regular boring home with your siblings." Chloe would question the conversation, watching as Mizuki suspiciously began babbling on about her thoughts on the more well known guilds within the region. She realized all the guilds held different qualities and perspectives, but they were all really boring to her so she did not really care enough about them. The more she babbled, the more she would of forgotten about that little spill she let out, her puny brain taking in all this information that the girl was so randomly spewing out one by one. "Serious, lame. I like the sound of models! I can't believe they have a guild like that, why wasn't I put in there? Stupid daddy!" She would cross her arms together, a bit annoyed that her father would of crossed such a guild off the list of ones for her to join. The moment Mizuki explained the all girl guild, she'd scoff in hilarity. "All girls, seriously? What's the point of joining a guild if there's no cute guys?" Chloe would question, hating the very thought of it and disapproving such a stupid rule. How boring would it be if you couldn't see a cute guys butt everyday."The fairly serious part in Lame-ia lost it for me. " She would wave her hand around a bit, blowing off the idea completely, despite holding even a bit of humor. Fairy Tail sounded alright, destructive though sounded a bit too crazy for her. Fairy Tail sounds like a bunch of barbaric wild animals. Pass." She would once again blow off the idea; not into that sort of craziness.

Chloe would stare at Mizuki, as if reading her very soul. "You just caught me at a bad time, I'm so bored! I'm not even supposed to be outside today, but shhh! The walls have ears." She would place one finger to her lips, shushing a bit to keep her words low and unheard. "My daddy thinks I'm at the library, yeah right!" She'd laugh a bit to her words; looking over Mizuki. "How do you go about everyday not planning a thing?" Chloe would question the girl, a bit taken back in surprise by the fact she just practicality wings it everyday and doesn't ever think of where she's going to pull off the day to her own liking's. "Lucky for you to have me! I grew up here so I know where everything, and I mean everything is. Let's go shoppping!!! " Chloe would jump up and down clapping, before stopping herself to laugh out loud. "I'm kidding, I already did all my shopping for today anyways. Want to pull pranks on unsuspecting people?" The princess would question her princess friend, pulling out a water balloon full of water. "The trick is to throw this baby off a roof onto someone passing by!" She would smile while planting that picture in Mizuki's head, wondering if she was up for a little harmless fun and enjoyment. She wasn't certain if it was her thing, or if she even into playing practical pranks, but it was surely worth a shot in asking! "We could take these babies to those guilds too and prank them, it would be hilarious!" Chloe would laugh at the very thought of it, those mages not knowing what hit them till it's too late! Oh the fun and hilarity of watching them get all wet and flustered!

☽❄ ████████████████████████████████████████████████ ❄☾

Of course, she would be paying attention when I slipped up like that. Mizuki inwardly face-palmed, annoyed with herself that she had gotten careless with her words. She was usually so careful when encountering other people. Perhaps it might have been the fact that Chloe was also a princess, or perhaps Mizuki had simply expected her rambling to be ignored. Either way, Chloe had heard her and called her out on her mistake. Thinking swiftly, the Eridani princess laughed and held her hands out to the side, offering a half-hearted shrug. “Mansions might as well be castles, right? The one I grew up in is pretty massive by comparison. I always got lost in it when I was younger. Then I found some of the secret passageways that were built in and it made it much easier to navigate. But it did grow boring over the years thanks to my parents being overprotective. Sorry if I confused you.” She released another chuckle at the end, this one somehow more nervous sounding than the previous one. She probably needn’t have worried though. Chloe seemed to grasp onto the subject of the Fiore guilds, offering her own thoughts on each one in turn. Sabertooth and Lamia Scale- lame; Mermaid Heel- pointless; Blue Pegasus- enticing; and Fairy Tail- barbaric. Mizuki stared back at the princess with mild bemusement shining in her teal eyes. She sure does like her fun, doesn’t she? Speaking to the other girl, she said, “They all have their good and bad points. For example, Fairy Tail may sound barbaric but they have a lot of fun from what I’ve heard. They enjoy good times but will fight for what they believe in with all their heart. Sabertooh, though more serious, has taken after Fairy Tail in that they will fight for what’s right and protect the innocent. Mermaid Heel may be a bunch of girls, but that might also might get them a lot of attention from boys.” The teenager could speak more on the various pros and cons of the guilds; however, she didn’t want to bore Chloe any further than she already had.

Mizuki stifled a giggle at the way Chloe exaggerated her silencing gesture. It reminded her of the times she performed the very same when revealing herself to those she had grown to trust. “Not to mention eyes.” She lowered her voice to match the secretive tone the conversation had taken. But it immediately returned to normal when she couldn’t hold back a snicker of amusement upon seeing the girl’s shocked expression. “I don’t know. I guess I just enjoy the whimsical nature of going wherever the urge takes me. There’s a sense of liberty in not planning anything.” Mizuki paused in her explanation, mulling over her feelings on the matter. She wasn’t sure if she could fully detail the sense she got when she simply wandered. No lesson plans to take, no rules to adhere to, no expectations, merely pure and unadulterated freedom. “Besides, it’s a lot of fun too. You never know what’s going to happen from one minute to the next, making life that much more interesting.” The princess offered an uncertain shrug once finished. In the interim silence, her new companion pondered things they could do. Mizuki felt her insides squeeze tightly and she barely managed to suppress a groan when Chloe mentioned shopping. The least enjoyable thing in existence. Luckily for her, the Fiore princess was only joking on that front, declaring that she was essentially shopped out. A point that Mizuki was certain could never truly be achieved with how much Chloe raved about shopping. Still, she would count her lucky stars that the proposition hadn’t been a serious one. Then came the second proposal- throwing water balloons from the roof to unsuspecting passersby. The similarities between Chloe and her younger siblings was almost uncanny in that instant. That same mischievous twinkle lit upon her eyes as it had theirs. The Eridani princess smiled in spite of herself, feeling her own impish nature awaken at the call of the other. “Only on two conditions.” Her expression was serious, though there was clearly a lightness about it. “We find a roof with a better view and…I get first shot.”

                          • Mizuki was attempting a sort of cover up to her mansion deal; yet Chloe was falling nothing short of quite literally taking what she said truthfully, and not as the cover up which would work favorable in Mizuki's liking. "I gues you're right! I could defiantly see castles being mansions, now that you bring up some good points!" She would say with a smile and agreeing with the simple statement, not even noticing her strong will to avoid the subject at hand, or remain unconformable speaking as such. "Lost? How do you even get lost in your own home? You're a sad, sad girl, aren't you?" The princess would joke with a hint of teasing; elbowing towards Mizuki. "Mansions have secret passages, since when???" She would ask, clearly baffled by such a statement, not sure if they truly existed and if they did, where exactly to go about looking for one. She knew the ins and out of her home, yet had no clue any secret passage ways even existed. "Ugh, parents can be so annoying! No trust at all. Mine are the same way!" Chloe would answer with a bit of a nod, agreeing to the sentiment towards there parents. "No worries, you're fine!" She would say, as Mizuki seemed to apologize for confusing her, yet the whole topic was confusing in it's own way. As soon as Mizuki started babbling about the guilds, Chloe would begin to lose all interest, yawning during her little speech and not even bothering to apologize as she covered one hand over her mouth. "Yawn fest! All of them sound laaaameeee. Still; what's the point of an all girl guild? This aint no opposite gender clubhouse when we were younger! A girls gotta get a man, and you wont have a chance to meet one there!" Chloe would answer a bit dis-respectively, calling every guild out on being boring and calling the all girls guild plain pointless.

Although; Chloe would laugh a bit at the mention of the walls also having eyes, Mizuki sure was a funny girl! Even when she explained not first thinking up plans, more like taking a total wing it moment. She sure had a way of saying it too! "I guess sometimes; things come unexpectedly!" She would answer, shooting one hand to a fist up in the air to prove her excitement towards such actions. She would take Mizuki's points into possession, shrugging as a guess that she may have made some very nice points. "Guess you're right about that!" Falling a bit silent for a moment, Chloe would wait before leaning in closer to speak of some mischievous activities. Mizuki had agreed to take up her offer of fun thankfully, and even added her own subtle hint of enjoyment. "I know the perfect roof for water ballooning passerbys my friend." The princess would answer to the Eridani Princess, smiling to accept her offer generously. "Got it, you get first. I'll take second. First one who misses, loses." Chloe would add the twist of being able to win and lose, yet she dared not place any bets on it. She always had a bad habit of doing those, and ended up being the one to lose! It just wasn't worth making bets to agree to do things she hated doing! Because, in almost everything, she was bound to lose in! Unless it had something to do with beauty or money, she could never lose to that! "Let's go!" She would say, grabbing Mizuki's wrist rather gently, and striving to cast her away from the restaurant, outside, to a nice room to where they could begin there mischievousness! She had the perfect place in mind!
[Exit to- I'll figure it out soon. biggrin ]

[OOC: Sorry it took sooo long! Haha, no worries to yours as well, your fine girly. biggrin I have no idea where to exit too, gotta think. XD

Mizuki breathed a sigh of relief. Chloe believed her reasoning and thought nothing further of her slip up. “Well,” she scratched her cheek. “It’s actually pretty easy if you think about it. Since mansions can be like castles, that means they can be big. I bet, if you thought about it, you would realize you’ve gotten lost a few times too. I’m not saying that you’d stay lost though. Just that a wrong turn when you’re not paying attention can put you in a wing of the mansion, or castle in your case, that you hadn’t realized you stepped into.” The Eridani princess smiled back at the Fiore princess. “Which is where the secret passages come in! They’re in all sorts of places. Some you might suspect right off while others are bit more difficult to find. I know it took me a solid four years of wandering my family’s home to discover the one behind a painting. But they can be behind bookcases too. Or even under carpets in some cases. I think my favorite one, however, was the one into and out of the kitchen. Tucked in the back wall of the pantry.” Her gaze grew distant as she spoke. Memories of all the mischief she and her siblings had caused with those passageways washed over her, subconsciously widening her smile. Another moment passed before Mizuki returned fully to the present. Blinking, she locked her gaze onto Chloe’s. “I bet your home has quite a few secret passageways just waiting to be found.” The twinkle in her teal orbs said that she’d love to cause such trouble again.

Chloe wouldn’t focus on the topic long, however. Her focus would fall on the guilds, specifically the all-girls one. “I think it’s a neat idea. Not to mention that there is likely an all-guys guild out there. Could imagine if they threw a party together? It’d be an instant date set-up.” Mizuki didn’t know if such a guild existed outside of Mermaid Heel. Nor did she know if the girls in that guild even cared to date, whether it be guys or girls. After all, there had to be some reason for the inception of a girls only guild. Try as she might though, the teenager had yet to figure it out. Shaking away her confused thoughts, she returned her attention to the discussion at hand. “Exactly.” She agreed with Chloe’s statement of the unpredictable. Case in point, their chance meeting with one another. The other girl likewise seemed to take her own assessment to heart. Then the conversation got much more interesting. Talks of water ballooning unsuspecting passerby truly got Mizuki’s intrigue. “Deal!” Her impish nature shown through with her quick agreement to Chloe’s new terms. “Fair warning though, I’ve got great aim from years of practice at home.” She winked as she slid from the booth of their table. Mizuki did one last check of her bill to make sure enough had been left to cover the meal and tip. As she was setting it back down, she felt Chloe grasp her wrist gently and pull her towards the exit. The fun was about to begin!

"There's not a second that slips, unnoticed or ignored."

"So many events that take place."

After a battle like he just had, he really needed a place to unwind and relax. He had planned on staying behind to talk to the figure who's presence he felt earlier, but with all the negativity pouring off of everyone there, he wasn't sure how much longer he could've stayed. Though for some odd reason, he was sure they'd find him again somehow. He released a heavy sigh as he sat on a bench near a bunch of flowers, sniffing a few of them. "Not as beautiful as the gardens of Dryadalis, but they're still nice." he muttered quietly, looking around at everyone else that seemed to be here. Of course, a large majority of them were couples, considering this was actually a garden. It was also, apparently, rather close the Mercurius, the castle where Fiore's royalty resided. He decided it probably wouldn't be a good idea to try and get in, even if he himself was royalty, for it would probably cause problems for both parties involved. Though he was sure the destruction he had caused at the Domus Flau would be more than enough trouble, since he'd have to pay for all the damages. Good thing that Veneficium's treasury was nice and full right now.

As the male continued to be lost in his thoughts, he was approached by a small child, who seemed to be trying to get his attention. "Hmm? What's wrong, little one?" he asked the young girl, who had her hand behind her back. She soon brought it forward, and was holding out a flower to Verzweiflung. "Would you like a flower? You looked pretty sad, sitting over here by yourself." the child replied, causing Verzweiflung to notice that he was, in fact, frowning. Though soon his face turned to a smile once more, as he took the flower from the young girl with an armored hand. "Thank you very much. This has brought me more than enough joy to drown out my sadness." he said, patting the young girl's head as she ran off. Most likely back to her parents. He looked down at the flower in his hand, turning it over as another sigh escaped his lips. "I really shouldn't let something like this get to me, should I?" he asked the flower, as if expecting it to answer him.
He just chuckled quietly at this thought, carefully placing the flower just inside of his shirt, making sure to not crush it.

"Time's like an eternal keepsake."

"Holds all the good memories."

Venatici followed the man’s every step, leading her summoner to the Crocus Gardens. Rei couldn't help but wonder what had brought him here. Perhaps he was sightseeing? From what little she knew of the man, she could only speculate he was from out of the country- a foreigner, much like herself. She recalled doing much of the same when she came from Chainan. Those were...awkward days and it had taken her some time to get used to life in Fiore. Were that the case for him, surely she would show sympathy for his circumstance. So when she finally laid eyes upon the man, she would be welcomed with the sight of child with him. The little one would present him with a flower before running off, the context of the conversation lost to her. Rei took a deep breath as she approached him shortly after, the pink wolf beside her quietly following along. “Excuse me. Are you the one who was appointed as Fairy Tail’s guild master?” Now standing before the man, she found herself looking up at him no different from the child previously. He was unnaturally tall, a trait definitely not common around here, in addition to that armor of his. With that shiny hair of his, there was no mistaking his nationality. There was also that mark on his chest… Its glow had piqued her interest; however, she could inquire about that later. “My name is Rei Mikaboshi. I'm the Magic Council Chairwoman. I came to you today because of your recent promotion to guild master. Unfortunately, I was not told of this, hence my need to put you under suspicion. May I ask who you are?” the councilwoman questioned the stranger.

"There's not a second that slips, unnoticed or ignored."

"So many events that take place."

Verzweiflung's eyes would be drawn to the newest person who had begun to approach him. The owner of that powerful aura from before, when he was in the Domus Flau. She carried with her an air of power, and no, not in the sense of Magic. She walked as one with a high position would, but she didn't look down on those around her, instead seeming to treat them as her equals. This was something he could respect, given he himself was royalty... not that he would reveal that. Well... probably. Of course, like all others he had met so far, he had to look down at the woman in front of him, mentally cursing his height as she spoke to him. "Why yes, I am! Verzweiflung och Förtvivlan mit viel Betrübnis und Melankoli is my name! High King of Veneficium, and 1st Aberrant, too!" the male replied, giving pretty much all of his information away almost immediately. He wasn't really the best when it came to stuff like this. He also took notice of how she seemed to glance at the mark on his chest, causing him to give a quiet chuckle. "I sometimes forget that people like me don't exist as much as they used to. This mark is the marking of a Celestious. Or, in my case, a Celestious Halfling. Think of us as the opposite to Etherious. Celestious are created nearly the same and made up of mostly the same components as Celestial Spirits." the male said, giving a smile and a nod.

It was then the woman revealed herself as Rei Mikaboshi, the Magic Council Chairwoman. Ah, the way she seemed to walk made much more sense now. She was essentially the same level as the royalty of Fiore, if not higher. If this were Veneficium, she'd likely be roughly the same level as he himself was! It was then that she spoke of why she approached him, causing him to cross his arms and close his eyes, as if going into deep thought. "Really? Hmm, he had told me that he warned you guys... oh! That's right, he disappeared back to his own world, so your memories of him were likely erased! Ah, I hadn't thought of that until now!" the male exclaimed, laughing as if this was all some big joke. Though of course, he would likely confuse his company even more. As he was about to speak, his whole body shuddered, as if someone had shocked him. "That feeling..." he muttered, turning his head to the right. Just a few yards away, a portal seemed to have appeared. Something that wasn't there before, and came out of nowhere. "Hey, hey. That wasn't there before. Is this an interference in the world..." he muttered, walking towards it. It was only then that he remembered Rei, and turned to look at her. "I apologize, but this... is something that I can't ignore. If you would like answers, feel free to follow me. But I'm not sure what waits on the other side. Though I'll try my best to protect you!" the male exclaimed, before walking into the portal.

"Time's like an eternal keepsake."

"Holds all the good memories."

Well...that was a mouthful. And hard to believe too. The High King of Veneficium and 1st Abberant? She wasn't calling him a liar, but without any proof of his bold claims, there was no reason for her to trust him at his word. He went on to explain his bizarre marking, that which made Rei raise an alarmed brow. 'Did he say...Celestious?' she asked herself. This man would be the first she'd seen of their race...that is, if it were true. It seemed he believed someone was also suppose to inform her of his arrival; however, he memories were conveniently erased. If that wasn't enough, at the appearance of a strange portal, he wished to investigate it and offered her to come along! No, this person rose too many questions and not enough answers. "I think not! You still haven't cleared my suspicions of you and I'm not letting you leave so simply" the councilwoman spoke sternly. Just before Verzweiflung could go any further, she would flick her wrist, erecting a barrier between him and the portal. "Stop! I demand some kind of verification...or am I to treat you as a threat?" Rei rose her voice. She didn't know what that strange gateway was, but she wasn't about to let him waltz right through it. This man clearly thought he could do whatever it is he wanted without rhyme or reason and that was unacceptable. Someone like him would be a danger to both himself and others around him.

"....ld.....rien..." a voice spoke faintly. This voice was familiar and at the same time, it rung with authority. The woman laid on the ground, unresponsive. "....OLD....FRIEND...." the voice spoke clearer and louder now. Rei could hear it, though she laid still, unable to move or respond to this person. Who was it? Who was calling her? Where was she and why couldn't she move? "OPEN YOUR EYES, OLD FRIEND" the booming voice commanded. And just like that, Rei would spring forward, gasping for air and eyes wide open. She quickly looked around, trying to get a grasp on her surroundings; taking notice of the all too familiar, otherworldly environment. Stars and planetoids cluttered the area with the prism-like structures and walkways. Yes, this place was none other than- "Old Friend. You have awoken at last!" The woman, still seated on the marble flooring, turned her head to he who had spoken: The Celestial Spirit King. But she was confused, seeing how she didn't recall making a trip here. Did she? Seeing the puzzled look on her face, the King would shed light on this before she got a chance to ask. "Do not be alarmed. I summoned you here myself. I wished to speak to you." Speak to her? That was...different. But an audience with the Celestial Spirit King, it had to be something very important. Rei found the strength in her legs to stand and face the giant. "Old Friend, the Galaxia Mage will soon return to your world. left unchecked, he will bring ruin to it and everything else. However...the observers and their guardians hold the key to our salvation." Rei looked to him, even more confused than when she got here. Though one thing was clear: danger was coming to the world and that meant she needed to fully understand what was going on. "Who is this Galaxia Mage? And what are...Observers and Guardians? Are they necessary to defeat the Galaxia Mage?" she asked. What she had expected were such questions to have just as heavy answers tied to them. The Celestial Spirit King started from the beginning, going into great detail of the Galaxia Mage, the Observers and the Guardians. This was a lot to take in all of a sudden, but the Chairwoman was doing her best to grasp it all. Because from what it sounded like, she would need to. And yet, "...Why tell me all of this? I will of course defend as many as I can, but I am not an Observer or a Guardian...am I?" "...No. But Old Friend, I trust you will take this knowledge and aide them to the best of your abilities. The spirits here trust you and so shall I!" "...I see..." Rei nodded with a smile "Well how can I deny a request from the Spirits?" The King flashed a wide grin in response, evidently pleased with the answer he received. With a wave of his hands, a blinding light would appear behind the woman, revealing an all too familiar Celestial Gate. "May the divine protection of the stars watch over you!"

Having concluded their business, Rei would step through the Gate and find herself in the Crocus Gardens. How strange. Why was she here? Wasn't she suppose to be interrogating the recently caught Dark Mage? "That's right. Raine...Valentine..." Still...why did it seem like she was forgetting something? Something important... "Perhaps it wasn't so important to be forgotten? Hmm... In any case, I should take care of Mr. Valentine and then..." Something had to be done about this Galaxia Mage and the Observers. Problem was, she didn't know what just yet, her mind still felt a little hazy...

xxxVacationing around the world was a great way to release any pent-up aggression that Marii had been holding in from years of apprehending disturbingly-violent convicts; as patient as she may be, she had her limits like everyone else. However, today seemed rather peaceful with the exception of the 'train incident.' As she was getting out the train to Corcus, Marii had felt something practically knock her back directly onto the train, leaving behind a prominent dent that, unfortunately, could only be fixed with a few thousand jewel. Marii could only explain the relatively inexplicable force as 'overwhelming.' Poor Junior was none the wiser, he had urinated on an elderly woman's shoes out of worry and fear; it was safe to say that Marii nor Junior had a pleasant welcoming. Despite such short-comings, Marii was pleasantly surprised to see that Fiore had been untouched by any sort of negative influence; everything seemed quiet, everything seemed too quiet.

After making a quick detour home to drop off her things, Marii would pick out a few necessities to put in her carry-on bag and make her way to the office with Junior by her side. Surprisingly, Marii hadn't any need to go too far, because the woman she was looking for was relatively near by- and she was talking to herself, as per Magic Council "tradition." In fact, it appeared that Lady Rei Mikaboshi was having a rather inquisitive discourse with herself, Marii could only hope and pray for the mental and emotional well-being of her boss. Marii is well-aware of Rei's habit to talk to herself, which is a completely healthy coping mechanism for innate stress; however, boundaries are broken when you begin to reply to answers you presumable hear.

Marii and Junior stood a few feet away from Rei's back, occasionally exchanging glances as if one was asking the other to interrupt her conversation. However, once Rei had finished, Marii was the one to slowly approach her, clearing her throat quietly to not startle the other woman. "Um... Hello, Lady Mikaboshi," she calmly said with a dainty grin. The woman, wearing rather casual attire, would wave at the other woman. "I see that everything was under control in my absence, I hope my inference is correct..." Meanwhile, Junior remained in the background, rubbing his back on a tree, lazily.

Rei really wasn't herself at the moment, explaining why she didn't hear the Rune Knight Commander approach. No, it wasn't until the woman spoke that she looked her way. Not quite the person she expected to see here, causing the councilwoman to give her a surprised greeting. "Miss Bassi? Back so soon from your intermission? Welcome back" she smiled warmly. Given the knight's attire, it seemed she just got back and came to visit the gardens. Perhaps one final stop before returning to work? "I hope you didn't spend your vacation worrying, did you? All is well now, though I won't say we've been without a few 'hiccups' the past couple of weeks." Truly, things have been rather hectic with all the Dark Guild activity and Dark Mages rearing their heads. From kidnappings, to battles with legal guilds, to destruction of public property. It's been one thing after another with Rei doing her best to stay on top of it all. But at the very least, she was relieved that Marii could get some rest before all of this occurred. And by the sound of things, it was about to get even worse... "Well, at least we captured a Dark Mage; a young man who vandalized Domus Flau. I'm wondering though...if there may be a way to rehabilitate him. I was on my way to the Crocus Office now, if you'd like to join me? ...Also, there's something-" Rei started to say. She was going to tell Marii about that which would suddenly exist in the form of such malicious force. A power unlike anything she felt before that caused her to stop in her tracks and acknowledge it. "....What is that? Is...this...? Already?!" the woman gasped and stared at the sky in horror. She had thought there would be time to prepare as she just received warning. But that great threat was here now; the threat to life as they knew it. "Miss Bassi! We will need to act fast. There's little time to explain, but I need you to prepare for battle!" she instructed. "Come, let us make haste!" Rei would then turn and head off, leading the way back to the Crocus Council Office.

[EXIT - To Crocus Council Office]
