He sensed his guildmate’s disdain and outrage from where he stood. His galaxy blue eyes bored into the Illusion mage. Yet Katashi did not mind. He played his part well, speaking with the child to keep her from Damien. He knew full well that the S-rank was not content in the least with being forced to charade as pleasant individual. There was no doubt in Katashi’s mind that he would choose to scare the child, or worse, if he were not in need of maintaining appearances. To bring attention to himself in such a manner would bode ill for his future plans. The very plans Katashi stood in the process of setting the foundation for. Bear with it a while longer, he silently urged his comrade. Smiling down at Amarissa, the dark-haired male nodded his approval, “Cho is a wonderful name. I am certain that your grandfather would be honored to hear you have named him so.” He continued to feed into her delight and happiness. Many of his guildmates would deem him an imbecile should they see him act this way. A weakling to be teased and taunted, in a similar fashion he assumed Damien might later once they were able to speak privately. They were fools to believe such. The timeless adage “It is easier to catch flies with honey than with vinegar” rang true in all avenues of life.
Inclining his head, Katashi gently touched the child’s shoulder. “Thank you for understanding. You are a very kind child, if I may say so.” He allowed a chuckle of amusement to escape from himself. “And a rather curious one to boot. Yes, it is grown up talk. Something, I am afraid, that is best left for a more private discussion between myself and my friend here. But—” The young man stood to his full height. “As I said, it is not pressing. He and I shall discuss those matters later. For now, I am more curious about you.” He made a gesture with his hand, motioning it up and down to encompass her entirety. His curiosity piqued further once she started to reveal information to them. This child was born from an egg? Katashi’s brows quirked upward. Crimson orbs scanned for any hints of abnormalities in the girl’s appearance. Anything that might speak to her heritage. Could she be an Exceed in disguise? He knew well the abilities of the feline race. Although they were born with inherent Aera magic, they were capable of utilizing all other forms of magic as well. Transformation magic would make the most sense in this situation. “Tell me, Amarissa,” he allowed a tiny portion of uncertainty and intrigue to lace his tone. “Do you remember if you parents were human or not? I have heard of a race of creatures born from eggs. A race of felines capable of flight. You would not happen to be one of them, would you?” Even as he asked, his assumption felt inadequate, as if it did not fit properly.
Surely, parents would not be frightened of their own child? The prospect did not sit well within him. There was a portion of the events that he must be missing. Unless, he contemplated another possibility, Unless her parents were expecting another to be born from the egg. His research had yet to determine what other creatures might lay eggs as the Exceeds. Dragons could very well be another option, except for the fact that none had been seen for hundreds of years. Katashi’s musing were cut short by an odd occurrence. The purple-haired child cupped her hands together in front of her to catch the twin coins expelled from her mouth. Surprise showed on his features before he schooled his expression once more. “I thank you,” he retrieved one of the coins from her. “That is a rather impressive trick, Amarissa. Are you able to perform that often or only at certain times?” The Illusion mage desired to know more about this rather unique ability. For he highly doubted she had kept them hidden within her mouth throughout the course of their conversation. “Trust me when I say, that you are far more interesting than either of us. The most interesting thing of myself is that I am musically inclined.” Which, in all honesty, was not stating much when compared to summoning coins from one’s mouth.
🎀 Dragon of Luck 🎀Mermaid Heel 🎀Rank C Amarissa would grin up at the male as he praised the name she had given to the plush, speaking ever so kindly about her beloved grandfather. "Thank you very much!" She would thank him for his sweet gestures and just his all around kindness. His friendliness continued further upon his touching to her shoulder, her gaze peering up into his own red features with a wide grin. "You are kind as well! The both of you! I just need to say..you are both genuinely kind souls, which is not as easy to find nowadays! Don't ever change!" She would glance to the both males, truthfully telling how she had felt. Maybe she had fibbed a little on the other male, he kind of made her feel guilty like she done something, but she didn't know what, and he wouldn't even give her a name. She wasn't going to call him out on anything though, that would be terrible to say to anyone, and she would never allow herself to speak as such of something like that. Katashi informed her that such matters could be settled later on when he was alone with his partner, though he was interested in talking with her, which was nice to hear! "Okays! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't stepping on your toes or anything." She'd smile that he was happy to talk with his partner for later, allowing her some company while also saying he was curious about her, which she'd be left feeling confused as to why exactly he'd feel that way. There wasn't really anything interesting about her. "You-you are?" She'd ask, with a tilt of her head, though it certainly felt nice to hear! Not many others would of cared to know anything about her, or even go as far as to sit and talk for a while. You don't see that much kindness throughout, or maybe she just wasn't as lucky till now!
Amarisa would listen as Katashi seemed to be inquisitive about a small portion of herself in which she had earlier explained. Though it was a solid question, she would still find herself unable to hold back a small giggle from his assumption in wondering if she could be an exceed, than again he might have thought that because of her saying she was born from an egg! "Are you asking if I'm an exceed? As awesome as that would be to actually be a cute little kitty, I'm not an Exceed. My parents were normal humans, they're similar to you guys but the only difference is they weren't mages, which I guess I'm just assuming you both are. Sometimes I can just tell!" She would grin very largely, hoping she was right in believing that, as they seemed different from non mage people. Upon the both males kindness, which she was easily to read, she would hand them both a momentum of sorts that basically meant to never forget, a friendship charm of sorts. She had hoped the other male would like one too, despite remaining silent, she couldn't help but think something was wrong. Though the girl truly hoped not believe that to be the case. Katashi would thank her, even praise her for her unique ability, seeming to wish to know more.
"Your welcome! Uh-I can pretty much do it whenever I want, until I run out of magic anyways. Sometimes I try to make some if I can't afford things, that happens more than I'd like." Amarisa would laugh awkwardly, wishing her technique could keep up as a way to make a nice amount of income, but it wasn't that easy, nothing was ever that easy. When she asked about the two of them, none of them truly answered which was kind of disappointing, she wanted to learn about them too! "Oh-uh-thanks! That's kind of you to say, but I'm sure you're both unique too!" She would smile, though she wouldn't mind if they didn't want to talk about themselves, she wasn't going to push. "Musically? Are you a musician or someone who works with music?" She would ask as she felt unsure what exactly the words he said meant, though she wanted to learn more about him too! Amarisa would glance to the other male, asking him next. "Do you have some cool job too? Oh wait, are you an undercover spy? That why you can't say your name?" She would ask with a hint of excitement in her tone, hoping to learn as much as physically possible from the two! 🎀 Company: Katashi & Mystery Man 🎀Emotions: Happy!! 🎀Thoughts: "How could would it be to be an exceed??" 🎀OOC: That moment you realize you been spelling your own characters name wrong. Damien’s silence spoke to Katashi. He knew that his comrade did not appreciate being made to play nice with the child. In fact, he believed the silence was two-fold. Not only was he ignoring the child, but he was quite possibly pondering many ways in which he can rid them of her. Some more violent than others yet with no recourse for action. His plan, whatever it might be, revolved around this orderly and tolerant persona. Fortunate for the child, Katashi thrummed in thought. Damien does not play well with others. I am surprised he has lasted this long. A faint grin touched his lips at the last. Amusement shown in his crimson orbs as he returned his focus to the child. The girl clearly longed for attention. Her cheerfulness rang loud and clear in her tone when he demonstrated even the slightest of interest. She is far too innocent for her own good. If she could but see the darkness within us… He would not correct her, however. No, let her think what she will. They had no qualms with her, as of yet, thus there was no need to create a disturbance here. “I am indeed,” Katashi inclined his head. “You are not like many others I have met.” Truth be told, she was unlike anyone he ever met. And he remembered each individual he encountered. Their fears and their dreams, their hopes and desires, their weaknesses and strengths- he catalogued it all in his mind should he cross paths with them again. “And I assure you that you are not ‘stepping on our toes’ in the least.” It was not entirely the truth, of course, though she need not realize it.
Katashi listened raptly while Amarissa explained her heritage. “Hmm,” he hummed. “Interesting. Tell me, Amarissa, how did you come from an egg if your parents are humans? I do not wish to contradict you, but humans are not capable of laying eggs as you have described.” A mild feeling of concern arose. Not for the girl’s feelings, but for his chance to learn more. By contradicting all she assumed, he could send her into a state of confusion and anger. She might very well leave if she thought him cruel for destroying her delusions. “Forgive me for assuming this but, are you certain you are entirely human? Perhaps you have inherited blood from another race you are unaware of?” Katashi hoped Amarissa would be receptive to his words. The more he learned of her heritage, the closer he drew to learning how she performed such magic. For he knew of only one magic which dealt with coins. Although, Angel magic did not work in nearly the same fashion as what he had just witnessed. Best not to press too hard for now, he decided, taking his offered coin. When Damien did not react, the Illusion mage rolled his eyes and gestured to the second coin. “Perhaps I should secure that for him until he is ready to accept it? He is not quite himself today.” His question was meant for both the child and his guildmate. It was impolite to refuse a gift, especially one so seemingly valuable and given so freely, whether one liked the person producing the gift or not.
“Really?” His brow quirked skyward at her revelation. To have such a magical ability could be quite advantageous if used properly. “That is a rare gift it seems. But how are you able to conjure these coins with your magic? I assume once you have created them that they are permanent, that they do not fade away over time?” He wanted to learn everything he could of this magic. Amarissa held one of the most unique talents but lacked training. There was no doubt in his mind that, should she train herself, she could produce a limitless number of coins. A talent which might be noteworthy to a variety of mages. Shaking himself from his inner monologue, Katashi chuckled, “I would not claim to be a professional by any means. But, I do enjoy playing instruments for my own peace of mind.” His chuckle bloomed into laughter when he overheard her guesses of Damien’s career. “Even if he were a spy, he would be unable to tell you as much,” the Illusion mage pointed out, neither confirming nor denying. It was too tempting to play into her fantasy even just a smidgen.
Damien grew iritated with each passing momen that the two talked, the young child still cheerfully hanging around the two dark mages. She coninuted to talk and question them, Katashi seemed happy to do all the talking. The other male chatted up a storm with the child holding a stuffed animal. The stone mage crossed his arms as the two shatter away like they were friends, his once hidden irritation would slowly become more apparent as he listened to the two. The girl stating she was born from an egg, either this kid hab bumbed her head a little to hard or she was just way to imaginative for her own good. The more she talked the more Damien understood the want of ditching the child. He came to the conclusion that her parents weren't afraid of her but rather they had become greatly annoyed by her. With all her chatting she probably drove them to insanity, resorting to abandoning her in the woods to cure their minds. What made it worse is that Katashi baught into the whole thing. he played along with the girl, even asking if she was an exceed. Was he blind or was his guildmate that incompitent? Did she look like a cat? The dark haired male would tap one fingure against his harm as his irritation grew. It wasn't long before the small girl turned her attention back to Damien, asking if he had a cool job like being a secret agent. "You don't want to know what I do kid." He stated simple before turning his attention to Katashi. "I think it may be best I take my leave right now. We can chat another time." the stone mage stated as he began to turn away. The dumb was spreading from the kid to his guildmate and Damien certainly didn't want to catch it. In addition he was losing his compsure rather quickly, something he needed to keep intack if he planned on goign to that Royal Ball. "We will talk again Katashi. Don't let your IQ drop anymore than what it already has." The dark mage would state with an undertone his to his voice.
[Exits to somewhere, have yet to decide]
OOC: Sorry! I figured it was best just to move Damien from the area seeing as he isn't doing much and he can't play nice like this xD
🎀 Dragon of Luck 🎀Mermaid Heel 🎀Rank C Amarisa blushed lightly at the mention of seeming different than anyone else. That was such a sweet compliment to her, being the same wasn't exactly what many strove for, assuming they weren't just flowing through the sea of others and copying as they went along. Though she was happy to hear she wasn't pestering them, they did look like fairly busy fellows and she only hoped his words were the solid truth. Katashi seemed to come up with some loop holes or some fairly large sized flaws of her past which could be considered true, had she had the knowledge of it as such. "Oh..um.." Amarisa tried to come up with a reasonable answer, was this for real? Humans didn't lay eggs? Than-than how was she born? Now she was feeling slightly confused, holding onto her head with one hand as she tried her best to think of something. "Maybe--maybe they're not human, than. I thought everyone laid eggs, how are babies born than?" She would question, though that was usually an answer no one felt comfortable answering, and would be completely awkward told or not. Than the question arose if she were human herself, to which she wasn't exactly positive."Maybe I'm not human, so if I'm not, they wouldn't be than either?" The small girl continued trying to think her hardest of her past, much of her life and all of the little facts she may have missed somewhere. She only ever known her path, not really much of anything else other than a human, and she really wasn't sure what she was herself, which proved even more of an oddity. But if she wasn't actually human, what was she? Thinking too much into it kind of wracked her nerves because she wanted to know, she never really thought too much of it until it was actually pointed out just now. "What other races are there?" Amarisa questioned truthfully, literally having no knowledge to that topic as such. She would watch as Katashi gracefully accepted his friends gift, it appearing he wasn't the same today. "Oh no, is something wrong with him?" She would ask truly worried, hoping everything was alright on his part. Maybe that's the reason behind him being just a bit grumpy, maybe something really horrible happened to him and it was bugging him. She only hoped something terrible didn't occur to the poor man.
Amarissa smiled as Katashi seemed intrigued by her magic, she was certainly proud in her abilities, despite clearly needing much more work on perfecting it. "Correct, they don't fade. I mean that'd be horrible, cheating sales people with it, I couldn't do that. I feel like a walking cheapo ATM." She smiled, making a joke on her skills, they were not perfected but she at least tried. Besides, power wasn't up her aly, she didn't care enough to get strong. She just wanted to share love and happiness with everyone else, that's all. She would giggle at his statement on instruments, a question forming and resulting in an aloud thought. "What kind of instruments do you play?" The small unique dragon slayer would ask curiously, what it was he played. She'd merely grin at his playful laughs towards Damiens career, nodding in agreement. "Oh yeah you're probably right. Kind of makes you wonder, if you're awful at keeping secretes, would you be fired as a secrete agent?" Amarisa wondered a loud, thinking it'd be dumb to fire for such a petty reason, but if that was how the line of work went, totally undercover, it could be understandable. Damien answered back, grinning at him even if his comment was meant to be snarky. "Yes I do want to know! She would say, making that pretty clear, and soon enough watching the dude leave literally with saying something that felt kind of insulting. She'd frown a bit, what was she saying that he was considering dumb? She didn't let it go to heart though, she'd turn back to Katashi with a half smile, unaware of what was going on, hopefully not drama. "I'm..sorry, did I say something, did I offend him? I know you guys still need to talk, so you can follow him if you want to. I'll probably be taking a nap soon anyways." Amarisa would say, not wanting to get in the way, it felt like she was keeping them from talking with one another, despite Kat pointing out it wasn't too important. He could just be saying that to be nice, and she didn't want to be in the way. She was totally lying about the nap, but she needed a reason to say to help Katashi out and prove she'd be okay. He was probably the most caring soul she'd ever met, no one would ever go as far as to lie about being busy elsewhere just to stay with a lonely person. Not only that, but one they just met. Of course it could be possible he was telling the truth, it just didn't sit right with her though. 🎀 Company: Katashi 🎀Emotions: Worried, slightly happy 🎀Thoughts: "You never see someone this kind anymore.." 🎀OOC: Playing isn't for everyone. lol

Octavia hummed to herself as she walked across the grass. Today had been a good day. She'd met one of her idols and hopefully given a troubled man a second chance at a good life,"I guess that's my good deed for the day,"she said, smiling. Though she was pleased for him, she couldn't help but wonder where Raine would be stationed should Rei take the celestial wizard's advice and assign him to a guild. Part of he hoped he would be sent to Sabertooth. After all, she wanted to help him and if he was handed over to her guild, she could do exactly that. As she made her way through the park, a strange magical pressure could be felt in the air. Her emerald eyes glanced around and spied several figures conversing with each other. It must be them. There weren't many other people close enough for her to feel their presence. She was unsure of whether she should approach them."Maybe if I just hang around... I don't really want to interrupt them..."she said to herself. She took a seat on the grass nearby, watching them in the corner of her eye whilst toying with her keys and letting her mind wander. Unfortunately it was wandering in the wrong direction as she thought of the blood mage once again,"Ugh, I need to get him out of my head. I'm worried about him but it can't be that bad. Stop already,"she muttered to herself.
It was simply a matter of time before the Stone mage was unable to bear the niceties of civilized society. Katashi knew well his temperament and recognized the signs of his discomfort and annoyance with ease. As to be expected, Damien could no longer withstand acting kind to the child. He took his leave of them in due course, declaring he and the Illusion mage were to meet again soon. The younger male said not a word though offered a subtle nod of understanding. He is always so brash, Katashi mentally rolled his eyes. As is his way, he fails to notice anything outside his plans. If he understood the potential this child holds… It would never be the case, however. He was so unlike his guildmates, Melanie and Damien. The two S-ranks were alike in their disregard for anything and everything else aside from their goals. They never deigned to examine other possibilities or calculate the varying outcomes of a plotted course of action. He assumed this was the reason for Master Silas assigning him to their team. His skills and magics were useful in keeping them on task while also affording the advantage of a level head, which the others certainly lacked. Considering their penchants for careless actions, Katashi had to wonder how either of them managed to reach their current ranks. That is neither here nor there, he shook himself from his private thoughts. There were other matters to attend to than to ponder the shortcomings of his comrades.
The child rambled on in a bid to keep the conversation alive. Her discomfort and uncertainty about her parentage shown clearly upon her features. “Do not distress yourself,” he flashed a brief smile. “It is not imperative that you remember or know of it. I was merely curious. In truth, there are many races from which your family could hail from. Far too many to name really. I am certain it will come to you in time. As to where babies come from, well, I am not the one to answer that question for you. All I can do is emphasize the point that humans are incapable of laying eggs.” Katashi shrugged his shoulders, allowing a small portion of disquiet show through his expression. Explaining the creation of a child was an inherently awkward topic. To have an innocent child inquire of it served to heighten the uneasiness. Thus, he pressed on to the slightly less disconcerting topic of Damien. An impish grin tugged at the corners of his mouth. “Some might say that,” he chuckled, “But he will be fine shortly. He is not the most sociable of men. Nevertheless, it was rude of him to wave aside your gift. I will be sure to talk to him about that when I speak with him next. Until then, I shall keep the coin safe.” Patting lightly at his pocket, he added, “Yours is a truly interesting talent. I would not consider it cheap by any means.” Truthfully, Katashi found it to be one of the most unique and useful magics encountered. There were no records in his recollection which mentioned her brand of magic. Coins created from nothing yet substantial in their own right with no apparent drawbacks- an intriguing power indeed.
Their topic of conversation took another turn when she inquired of his musical ability. “There are quite a few,” he admitted with a faint blush creeping along his cheeks. “However, my favorites are the flute, violin, and guitar.” A bout of laughter escaped him. “I am fairly certain someone incapable of keeping secrets would not be a secret agent for too long. If they were lucky, then I imagine they would be fired before they said something ill-advised.” Katashi could but imagine how certain meetings might go over if Damien were less than convincing in his acting. It would definitely not be for the better. It is a good thing keeping secrets is among his strong suits. The imagery of a poorly disguised Damien attempting to explain himself flashed across his mind. Although he felt it improper to think of such things, the Illusion mage could not deny his amusement at the notion. While he contemplated his guildmate, his attention was drawn to a new magical presence entering the park and settling nearby. His crimson gaze drifted lazily to the source of the power, coming to rest on a petite brunette toying with a set of keys in her hand. A Celestial Spirit mage? He did not recognize the girl yet knew she must be among one of the light guilds. Her furtive glance towards them denoted her hesitancy yet desire to converse with them. “It is no matter,” the young man intoned, looking back to Amarissa. “I can find him again later. For now, I am able to chat with you a bit longer. Besides, I sense there is another whom may wish to join our conversation.” With a tilt of his head, he indicated the brunette he had spotted seconds prior. Perhaps today would reveal a plethora of information after all.
🎀 Dragon of Luck 🎀Mermaid Heel 🎀Rank C Amarisa felt like she had said or done something which caused the separation of the two males, the one ditching and mumbling rudeness, though she did not let it effect her, just bounce off like a shield protecting her own self. However, even through her guilty conscious charades, Katashi seemed to not want to worry her so, merely informing her not to let it worry her. That was somewhat relaxing to hear, she only hoped he truly meant it so, explaining it was alright and understandable if she did not remember much of her heritage. It was impossible to see anything around you inside of an egg, you'd have to wait to be outside, so she never even bared witness of her real parents. And it was highly unlikely she ever would, even if they crossed her, she wouldn't know it was them and they wouldn't know it was her. "I guess so, if I ever see them again, I'm hoping maybe I'll remember it someday, but it's okay if not. Oh, guess my real parents were not humans than. Well, that's one hint!" She'd smile gladly, though her smile never faded even during the mention of his friend leaving, she hated thinking she was bothering others. She didn't wish to annoy anyone enough to leave, that wasn't her intentions at all. "Oh, is he shy?" Amarisa questioned with a tilt of her head, feeling slightly confused by his actions. She'd raise one hand, nodding her head from left to right. "Nah, it's okay. Don't worry about it! He doesn't have to accept it if he doesn't want it." She would say while smiling brightly, she really didn't mind if he truly didn't want it. After all, to others it's probably just a worthless coin, you really can't buy anything with it and he probably didn't care to treasure it. "Thanks for safe keeping it though! You're sweet." Amarisa would admit to the kind man known as Katashi, she blushed full of embarrassment, rubbing at the back of her head. "Aww, thank you! But it's only a little coin, not like I'm blowing out full dollars." She would say truthfully, though she couldn't help feeling grateful for the kind compliment.
Amarisa listened carefully, making sure not to miss a single detail of which instruments he preferred best. There were certainly a lot of good choices to decide from, but everyone held different opinions on various things. "Ohh great choices! The flute makes pretty sounds, Violin is relaxing, and Guitar is soothing and can be rock too!" She loved instruments as well, though she was never any good at it. To be able to hear Katashi play either one of them would certainly be nice, but there was none around, she assumed anyways. Amarisa giggled at the concept of a spy being fired, should they be unable to keep secrets hidden well. "I could understand that! Hopefully they don't spill any confidential information after being fired either! Maybe they have to be super careful how they fire a person like that!" She would grin at the idea, though she felt the presence of another nearby, glancing around and attempting to find them. Her vision stopped on a girl with long brunette hair, she seemed to be worrying about something or just thinking aloud, considering her facial features seeming a bit uneasy. "Okay! I-if you want to, I wouldn't want to keep you from your needs. But thank you so much for staying!" Amarisa turned back to him to smile, before her glancing turned back towards the celestial mage. "Let's invite her over!" She would say with excitement, trotter over half way towards the girl sitting. "Hello! You can join us if you want!" She would say, coming back towards the tree she was originally on and Katashi, a three way conversation would be fun! "What's your name, Ms?" She asked with wonder, hoping it wouldn't end up untold like the other guy. But who knows, Katashi answered, maybe she would too! She certainly didn't appear shy at first glance. 🎀 Company: Katashi & New girl 🎀Emotions: Happy! 🎀Thoughts: "I hope she is okay!" 🎀OOC:

It seemed to Octavia that she had been spotted by the two mages present in the park. A big part of her was quite happy about it, she'd have some company that might be a little less dramatic than the rest of her day had been. She hadn't seen either of the two wizards she now faced. Hauling herself off the ground she slowly approached them."I hope I'm not invading... I just... I noticed that there was magic energy coming from the two of you and it got my attention,"she explained shyly,"My name is Octavia Kane. I'm a celestial wizard from Sabertooth "she smiled, flashing them the white guild mark on her outer wrist,"What are your names?"she asked.
Katashi plastered a smile upon his face. “You are truly a kind child. Not many would be as forgiving as you to someone who ignored a gift. In fact, there are many who would act quite differently than you are if they were to be placed in your shoes. It is…refreshing.” A small pang of sorrow filtered into his soul. As gentle as the girl was, it would ultimately be her undoing. Not simply due to her naivety but also for the inherent weakness of such emotions. She is not meant for this world, he reminded himself, hefting a weighted inward sigh. Instances such as these were ones he disliked. They stirred feelings and emotions he had long sought to bury. While he held no qualms with ridding the world of inferior adults, children were more difficult for him to justify. Still so young yet inherently weak, with few exceptions to the rule. Amarisa’s talent might be useful, but he did not believe it warranted her to be spared when the time would come. Shaking himself from those thoughts, he returned his attention to the child. She complimented him on his choice of instruments, earning a nod from him. “Your statements are valid. I typically play each of the instruments when I am in a certain mood. Although, if I had to pick one out of the three, it would certainly be the guitar. If only for its versatility.” The flute he played in his more contemplative moods while the violin he used for his more somber ones. But, the guitar was more than one emotion to him. There was something about the quality of a guitar that allowed Katashi to play his very soul, no matter the temperament.
“However,” he waved a dismissive hand. “I am more interested in the talk of spies and secrets.” His crimson orbs beamed. “You never can tell when someone of that nature might be dallying about.” Katashi laughed, genuinely amused by the girl’s observation. “Yes, that would be of concern to any agency like that. Although, I am fairly certain they have taken those rare occasions into consideration. They would not be able to operate on such a high level if they made minor oversights. That said…it would be intriguing to see something along those veins unfold.” As always, the Illusion mage pondered the implications and benefits. Bowing his head, he gave his consent to inviting the mysterious brunette into the conversation. Amarisa wasted no time in doing so. So she is a Celestial Spirit mage, he noted with interest. The magic was not precisely rare though it was not dominant either. Interesting. I shall have to observe her more thoroughly. Speaking aloud, he greeted her calmly, “I assure you, you are not intruding, Miss Kane. We were merely passing some time before the little one here must slumber. As to my name, please call me Katashi.” The dark-haired male knew not to provide her his full name. He did not need her discovering his identity. As it stood, he grew uncomfortable being in the presence of a light mage, although his impassive features hid it well.
🎀 Dragon of Luck 🎀Mermaid Heel 🎀Rank C Amarisa used a free hand not currently holding her large plushie to scratch at the back of her head, a small smile and blush consuming her face. "Oh, I mean, it's no problem. I can't force them to accept my gift after all." She would admit while still grinning all the same, it wasn't up to her to make others take gifts, if they didn't want it, than it's best to leave them alone and not drive it into a big deal. Eventually, talk of music was like angels to her ears, she loved music and everything about it! Katashi began explaining which instruments were of his most favorites. The guitar was a great choice! You could play it with some rock on rock, or some melodic sad music, it was like an endless choice of options to play! "That's a great choice!! All of them together would sound beautiful too! I'd love to hear you play them one day!" Amarisa would point out happily, loving to hear all music and she really enjoyed listening to it! Sometimes more soothing music really helped you sleep, while upbeats sounds was also so great to hear and put you in such a great mood!
Katashi seemed to enjoy a lot of instruments, and was mostly way more knowledgeable in these instruments! She only knew of a few basic ones, but that was pretty much it. There wasn't much to that. It would be cool to find some sort of band or something nearby, someone playing musical instruments! Would be one heck of a fun time, if one such as that existed at all. Although, the talk leaned on more of the spies topic, he seemed to be really intrigued by it! Amarisa didn't mind though, she was so excited in talking about both conversation pieces! Talking about spies might actually be a bit ahead of music though, she loved wondering how being a spy could be like! "You are so right!! I wonder what they do when they find out one of the spies is just lazying around, not helping at all!" Amarisa spoke with excitement, if a spy turned out to be really lazy and slack off a lot, she guessed they would just get fired, not sure if there would be more to it. "Yeah, but fired people too tend to get really upset, they'd be spilling the beans without as much as a second thought. I agree! It's probably already happened somewhere in the world, were missing out!" She would grin largely, wanting to see it go down, though she would too feel bad for the one fired! People needed jobs for money after all, hopefully anyone fired had a great job lined up! Being a spy must be a really difficult job as it stands!
Amarisa grinned as the girl came up to them, she looked a little nervous to come up to them judging by her slow walking, she hoped she didn't feel scared or anything to talk with them! "Magic energy? I guess we are all mages! Cool, huh??" She smiled at the thought, all of them having the power to use magics! It was a fun thing to have, she couldn't help but wonder if non mages enjoying not having magic, or was jealous of others having them. Amarisa would slide her head around, looking between the two. She held onto her plushie tightly, though she was more than joyous to have some friendly company and conversations. "It's nice to meet you Octavia! I'm Amarisa Carmen. You don't have to be shy! Katashi and I were just talking about spies and instruments, please join in if you wish!" She would say with a big smile, the more friends to talk with the merrier! She wanted Octavia to feel comfortable around them, so she tried to help whenever she could. Katashi was very friendly, she knew the two of them as well would get along super well! She'd watch the two at times, these little moments of meeting others and making new friends, it was the best feeling in the world. These were the kind of sweet moments she really cherished. 🎀 Company: Katashi & Octavia 🎀Emotions: Happeh! 🎀Thoughts: "Celestial mage huh? Cool! emotion_kirakira 🎀OOC:
Raine was panting with exhaustion. Everywhere; he'd searched everywhere in Crocus and nothing. He couldn't find her. He'd been travelling in the shadows, making hardly any contact with people, just eavesdropping conversations about the whereabouts of Sabertooth wizards. If he found one of them, he was sure to find her. But it had been almost, if not a full day since he'd left the Council with a trail of bodies behind him. The thought panicked him. He hoped the person he'd shouted at, whoever it was that had been hiding in the corridor, had believed him. His wrists were still bound by the nullification cuffs. None of his dodgy contacts would have anything to do with him if he was compromised in such a way so he just had to hide. On a whim he'd remembered that Octavia was originally from Hargeon and had snuck on a train. Her family were from there, she'd told him on that night...,"Damn it, where are you?"he growled under his breath. His throat felt dry and the suppression being put on his magic from the cuffs was making him shaky. He needed to get them off. And his macabre urges were getting stronger by the hour. The voice in the back of his mind was craving crimson bloodstains on the pavement of the backstreets,"Not now,"he uttered,"Please, not now. I can't,"he held his head in his cuffed hands, pressing the temples until the pain blocked out the voice. He breathed deeply. The alleyways were stuffy and enclosed, even in this breezy town. But where could he go where he wouldn't be recognised. He wasn't exactly a person that blended in. In the corner of his eye he spotted his solution. Someone had hung their bedsheets out to dry. He quickly grabbed the duvet cover and fashioned himself a cape as best he could, pulling the hood over his red hair and headed towards the park. He needed fresh air. As he walked into the open, surrounded by sunlight, trees and luckily, not many people. He'd have liked nothing more than to lay on the grass and sleep for a week but he needed to keep moving until he found her. Or at least someone who could tell him where she was. She would help him. He knew she would. Her heart was pure as gold, she'd proven that again and again to him, so surely she'd be his saviour. He walked slowly, taking in his surroundings, and as he closed his eyes to listen to the wind blowing, by some miracle, there it was."No way...,"he said, pivoting on his heel to look around. Low and behold, there she was and who was she standing with but Katashi. The very guild mate he had been told to seek out,"It's my lucky day after all." He strolled towards them with purpose, his tiredness washing away and being replaced with hope,"Octavia. Katashi."he said as he approached the two, who appeared to be with a third person who was unknown to him. But he couldn't give less of a care for whether or not he was interrupting them. He had a goal and no one was going to make him wait."If I told you how long I'd been looking for you, you wouldn't believe me,"he smirked. However as he came within five steps of the celestial wizard, he suddenly dropped to his knees."Ha. Wow. Guess I'm more exhausted than I thought,"he looked up to Katashi before bringing his gaze into Octavia's emerald eyes. His features dropped,"I'm in trouble. A lot of it. Please, I need help,"he said. For the first time since he was a small child, he felt he was begging.

Octavia smiled,"Katashi, huh? I'm sure I've heard that name before but I can't remember where,"she pondered aloud before shaking her head to remove the thought. There were other things on her mind. Turning to the small girl accompanying the dark-haired boy, she leaned down to face level and gave her a sparkling smile,"Pleased to meet you, Amarisa. Are both of you in guilds?"Standing straight again, Octavia hummed in thought,"Spies and instruments? Those are two very different subjects... unless you're talking about a spy that plays the flute!"she chuckled,"Does this mean perhaps one or both of you are spies? Or perhaps you both play an instrument?"she said before clearing her throat,"Ahem, sorry, I'll stop. So why are..."her sentence was interrupted by a deep voice, calling her name. She turned her head to see a tall figure wearing a cloak, crimson hair peeking from beneath it and golden eyes looking down on her. It was him. But before she could say anything to him, he dropped to the floor in front of her"Raine, are you ok?! What the hell are you doing here? I thought you were in custody. Did they let you...,"she paused to hear his plea, her eyebrows knotting in worry,"You didn't... tell me you didn't escape...,"she uttered to him. Looking down, she could see the faint aura around the nullification cuffs on his wrist. She kneeled beside him,"Why would you do that? I was going to vouch for you to Miss Rei and get you help"she said, feeling betrayed by the dark wizard who shed wanted to help to badly in Domus Flau. Looking up at her new acquaintances she gave Katashi a questioning look,"Do you know him?"she asked.
✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯ OOC: Sorry I haven't posted for so long
“Yes, one day perhaps,” Katashi dipped his head in acknowledgement. The gentle smile remained present upon his features. Inwardly, however, he knew it would never come to pass. The child, innocent and sweet as she was, could be marked for but one destiny. A time would come in the near future where the strong would be called to rule the world. The weak perished from the earth. Amarissa would likely be among the latter group. As he listened to her talk about spies, her excitement and intrigue palpable, he knew her innocence could not protect her from what was to come. Only the strong could survive in the new world. It was simple fact. “You are right,” he kept his expression inviting and friendly. A mask to cover the pangs of sorrow he felt for what would become of her and others like her. “Anger can lead one to do idiotic things. I am certain the leaders of the spies would have discussed the consequences of such actions. Even if they were to be fired, I doubt spies would wish to deal with those sorts of troubles. Besides, perhaps they are well compensated for their time.” All of these thoughts were mere speculation, of course. Katashi had never encountered a spy before, as he assumed Amarissa had not either. It was simple conjecture and fancy to entertain a child.
As it so happened, he did not have to entertain her alone. Another mage joined in their conversation after being invited by Amarissa and himself. Katashi’s finger twitched. The Celestial Spirit mage recognized his name. This could be troublesome, his crimson gaze stayed fixated upon her. She did not seem to recall where she overheard his name from, but that did not mean she would not at some point. If she were to do so, then he would have to deal with the problem in due course. For now, he would let it be. “Playing instruments of a wide variety would most likely be considered a valuable asset to a spy,” the Illusion mage noted, glossing over the question of guild membership. “Think of the number of missions one could partake in. Same is true of learning languages or multiple magics. The possibilities are endless.” His gaze drifted to Amarissa. Quirking a brow, he asked, “What say you, little one? Have you been a spy all this time?” There was a note of jest in his tone. Bemusement danced in his crimson orbs.
It was not to last long in the end. A hoarse croak, a remnant of a familiar voice, called out the brunette’s name then his own. Katashi turned to find none other than Raine shambling towards them. His wrists were cuffed and his hair disheveled. He looked worse for the wear. Why must you say my name?, he chided silently, eyes narrowing briefly before shifting back to an impassive stare. Octavia knelt beside the troubled redhead, questioning him on what transpired. By her demeanor, it became clear she knew of Raine’s affiliations. Knowledge which made her next inquiry all the more problematic to the dark-haired male. “We are…acquaintances. We lived in the same town at one point.” He did not lie to her though he dared not speak to specifics. “It seems you have found yourself in some trouble again,” this he said to Raine directly. “I suppose I can offer my help to you this time.” There was a pregnant pause as he returned his focus to Octavia. “But perhaps it would be best for me to tend to him alone? The Magic Council will not be so willing to listen to what you have to say if they should find him with you. If I return him to custody, that will allow you the opportunity to speak your piece without reprisal. Otherwise, they might think you involved somehow.” He needed to remove Raine from the area, and especially from the presence of the child and light mage. Should they find out his connection to Sirens’ Curse then his movements might become hindered.
Speaking of spies, Amarisa began to suddenly feel this weird urge to become one, one day. But, there was a side prod at her telling her she wouldn't exactly be a good fit. Keeping secrets wasn't really something she could easily do, and it was actually quite harder for her to do. The more she thought about it, the less likely she would even try to go for it. But, at least talking about it was fun. She nodded her head in agreement to Kat, he was right. They probably got paid handsomely to keep quiet about there line of work, while they were still a spy or not. "You;re right! That's a fair trade, good payment in return for not spilling there beans!" Amarisa spoke with bliss in her tone, she hadn't even thought about how a spies work goes. But, Kat's suggestion certainly was the most reasonable sounding, and to her, it was neat to know! She was glad the female joined in, she loved others company, and the more was the merrier! When the celestial mage kneeled down to face her, she'd be met with extravagant smiles. At the mention of guilds however, her face lit right up with the happiest of expressions. "I'm in Mermaid Heel! I love it there!" She was happy, over the moon to reside in that guild, it was like this cute little club house of only allowing females. Kind of like when boys had there treehouse only meant for them boys kind of thing! Hearing Katashi out, his statement of instruments playing vital into a spies line of work was a bit confusing, and left her feeling curious how exactly that could even be or why it would be so needed so much, she thought instruments would just stir the silence. Amarisa would tilt her head ever so slightly, questioning how, as she was curious. "Huh? How so?" She listened as he continued, though her confused gaze shifted into a grin. Learning new things was certainly fun, and it was like living life to the fullest. Really, what could be better. Amarisa would soon turn her gaze over towards Octavia, at the mention of spies and instruments being far different subjects. Her face practically lit up like the brightest christmas tree at the answer of a spy playing the flute, her eyes glistening with love. "A spy playing the flute sounds so nice! They could be sneaky, and yet look like they just playing for fun!" She spoke happily, the very thought of it was really awesome sounding. She wondered if there was a spy out there like that!!
Than, came the question by both Octavia and Katashi, if she herself were a spy, Octavia questioning Katashi on that subject as well. They did have to wonder if each other was one, since none in that job would be even speaking of them being one! "I'd make a really awful spy, so defiantly not one here! Isn't it true that if you were one though, you weren't able to tell anyone?" This had to have been the reason when one was one, it wasn't spoken of. Made plenty sense. It was a very secretive business, not even something to tell the most trust worthy of people. "Octavia, you're not a spy are youuu?" Amarisa questioned, though she was mostly teasing the girl. Out of the blue, came another person. A boy came strolling in with red hair, and wearing handcuffs? Was he arrested earlier..and escaped? So, that would make him a prison escapee..if it were true? She hoped not. Looking to Octavia, she had the same suspicions, feeling nervous for the poor guy, he looked like a totaled mess. Amarisa could barely watch, she wanted to help. Thankfully, Katashi had offered to help the poor boy, but preferred in doing so alone. She guessed it was cause they just needed some space. She only truly hoped that boy would be alright soon, she hated seeing those in distress. It saddened her. She would pray for his recovery, and hoped whatever bad happened to him soon turns his feet back on track. ━🐉D r a g o n O f L u c k」
