Morgan laughed and laughed and laughed, and danced around the angry knights, taking Soren's hit and relishing it. A mad knight, a rabid wolf, the stories must have been true-
- But how much of Morgan did the knights actually know?
Behind him was the mirror. He had no reflection.

Yuki had taken a moment to catch his breath, recompose and examine the laceration on his left arm. He couldn't tell how deep it was, but there was enough blood to suggest that it was something he should probably have looked at. But that would come later.
"Yes, well done!" He shouted toward Soren in support, witnessing the attack that he landed. Yuki grimaced, though, when Morgan countered swiftly.
They had to defeat him.
Yuki rushed forward for a third time, hoping to strike Morgan as his attention was still on Soren.
It was the most solid blow he'd managed to land thus far.
In that moment, Yuki saw past him. His eyes caught the mirror behind Morgan, the reflections warping and distorting. As if that was not alarming enough, Morgan's form was nowhere present. And it should have been.
A wave of dread washed over him, and it felt like he'd been kicked in the gut. Yuki hastily stepped back, eyes wide in shock and the hair on the back of his neck prickling.
"What the hell are you?" Yuki asked, fear unfortunately present in his voice. He couldn't hide it... Was this so-called knight even human?

Shun thought he saw Morgan lashing out at someone else, which gave him pause. Flashes of what he had seen in the mirror returned to him. The imagery of his supposed comrades turning against him, slaying him. He shook his head to try and rid himself of that thought. He still couldn't help but eye the others a little more warily. Especially with what he had heard of the Sidhe.
This was soon to become an all too real possibility, as he saw a lack of reflection on Morgan's behalf.
His own visions aside, it became all too clear at this point. Morgan was the one who wanted the gate to be used. And now he was laughing his a** off like a maniac.
"He's one of them," he said quietly, coldly. It wasn't really to anyone in particular. The knight-apprentice readied his sword, before moving in. He tried to flank the man before aiming to cut into his hamstring if possible.

The young knight shook his head. Something wasn't right with this knight at all...just what was. He looked back into the mirror in time. Eye going wide as he paled. Looking back he shook his head.
"How can you stand there? Why did you take that form? Why deceive us?!?" he questioned. "What about the apprentices who FOLLOW you? WHAT ARE THEY REALLY TO YOU?!? Just pawns...weapon fodder?!?"
He then lunged despite the Knight's answer...

Even with all the chaos around, it seemed like no one was listening to what she said. Maybe they saw something she didnt? That could be it...But what? Amy looked past the battles that were going on, scanning the room as quickly as she could, spotting nothing....
until she glanced at the mirror.
Everyone had a refection except...
Morgan.
Her leader, a fellow Great knight was one of the enemy. Here she was trying to get her comrades to back off when they should be destroying him. Perhaps this was the time for action like Morgan thought...Action to eradicate the sole cause of all this madness. She hated to join in on this but it was official, Morgan had to die. Amy charged forward once more, slashing with her scythe. Her skill was no match for the great knight but she will try to do what she can.

With dark brown hair and two days of stubble, Kostya is a rugged, attractive knight. Although he's not the tallest among the knights-- measuring in at only 5'7"-- his body is honed from the training he did in and around his native villages, sleek and whipcord strong. He prefers to work at range, utilizing a large crossbow as his weapon of choice.
In personality, Kostya leans towards the stoic, although a cruel streak in him leads to humor at other people's expenses. He traditionally carries around a small flagon of alcohol, acquired through whatever means necessary. He lacks true compassion, and cannot process empathy in any significant amount, leading him to take advantage of lesser folk-- by manipulation or force-- to get what he wants.

Cady, it could be said, was not the cleverest girl. So when they entered a room brimming with shiny treasure, the sparkles combined with the general exhaustion and mental exertion of the evening took it's toll. Part of her wondered if it had always been like this - and most of her decided that the memory loss had been a blessing.
She had no idea how long she'd been blearily staring into space, but when she finally came to, it looked as though Morgan, Percival and Gawain had come to blows - and that some of the knights in training had joined in.
Arcadia didn't know what was going on, but she did know that Morgan had led them into battle and had slain the massive serpent that had threatened to overcome them all. She very much owed him her life - and that had to mean something, didn't it?
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING!" she shouted ineffectually, swinging her bow forward like a staff and trying to ward off some of the blows.
Unfortunately, she was a lot further away from the main action than she thought, and so she gave the impression of someone very energetically attempting to swat a fly.

He gestured back to the mirror. Any who looked into it also had no reflection.

There were benefits to not having a reflection - like not knowing how frumpy your hair would be in the morning, for instance.
However, this was a magic mirror, right? Maybe it was broken. After all, if it was magical, it stood to reason that it was significantly more complicated than regular mirrors. Yes, Cady reasoned. It was probably just in need of a, er.
Magical mirror repair person.
"MAYBE IF YOU TAP THE SIDE OF IT REALLY HARD IT WILL WORK AGAIN," she called helpfully.

What was he talking about?! The last time she looked into the mirror, she had a reflection! Refusing to believe Morgan's lies, Amy looked to the mirror, gasping at what she saw.
She had no reflection, no one did.
It had to be a trick right? How could she be anything other than human?! No, no no no no no! This was a lie! It had to be.

<A deal has to be made, > whispered a voice, and it came from a facet of the mirror itself. <If you accept my gift, I will give you your reflection. >
Something seemed to move independently on the surface of the mirror, but only Arcadia could see it. Two hands stretched out and they held out a necklace with a glittering red jewel.

For a moment time seemed to slow down, and then it was just Amy and Morgan. It was a Morgan that looked more at ease, one that held themselves like -
- He took one step and a moment later was behind Amy.
"It is our secret." he whispered right next to her, "that you are not human. You are a traitor, hiding with your memories purged. When your true memories awaken, you will inevitably betray all those close to you."
And as Morgan grabbed a hold of Amy and forced her to stare back at her reflection, all she saw instead of herself was a creature of pure darkness, of sharp claws and teeth and yellowed eyes.
Morgan had gone mad, surely; but that didn't mean the knights should have turned on him so easily. There was Shun, attacking him without abandon. A Great Knight! They spoke of his lack of humanity, and took the word of a miror reflection as their proof. Did no one remember how they'd been warned of the artifacts trickery?
When she looked into the mirror for her own reflection, she saw nothing. She wasn't surprised - the mirror always lied.
"You've driven him mad yourself with your attacks." Riley warned, refusing to enter into the fray.
