Sebastian just chuckled at the idea. He was fairly certain that even when being careful, there was risk, but he wasn’t going to argue over the idea. At least not right now; maybe when the actual learning took place, he would remind Jay of the risk at hand.
Sebastian quirked an eyebrow when Jay halted in his response, a slight confused frown crossing his face at the pause. He took a moment to glance around, checking his pokemon first and foremost to make sure everything was okay. Things looked fine, they were healing as needed and no one had fainte- wait was that Blastoise? Oh, wow how had he missed that? Well damn, that was a thing to be addressed at a later point in time. Other than that, everything looked okay so he looked back at Jay. He looked confused at the mention of a ‘kid’, perking up at the sound of a voice as well. "Say what…," Sebastian remarked, looking off in the direction of the voice and getting to his feet as well. He blinked as a young boy appeared with a towering pokemon right beside him.
"Oh!" He remarked in surprise, head tilting a moment. The kid looked like he was trying hard to put on a brave face and so Sebastian offered a friendly smile and a wave. "Hi there!" Sebastian lowered his hand, glancing at Jay as he answered the kid’s question, giving a nod of approval to indicate he agreed with the sentiment.
"Yeah absolutely, these caves get kind of confusing don’t they?" He paused a moment as Jay spoke again, a frown and an eyebrow raising as he looked at his friend. Wow that was… a bit of a blunt question to be asking. Gently he gave Jay a nudge to the arm with his elbow before looking back to the boy. "Yeah anyways… where were you coming from? I’m sure we can find the exit close by."

Huey tried not to shuffle too much as the two men became aware of his presence, from what he could tell they both looked friendly enough. From where he stood Huey could even see that they had a little... cooking thing at; just seeing it made him hungry, and reminded the boy that he hadn't eaten since breakfast. Seeing that, coupled with the braided man's smile--he had really long hair--, allowed him to relax a bit and with a hesitant smile he waved back at them. "Hello."
He breathed a sigh of relief when the ginger-haired man agreed to help him, his companion nodding to show that he'd go along, then rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "They do," he agreed, quietly. "They get even more confusing when you're not paying attention..." Huey was caught off guard by the sudden inquiry of his age, a confused look briefly appearing, but did his best to smile afterwards. It wasn't often that he was ever asked his age, really only distant relatives and family friends, but that was okay. "My name is Huey, and I'm eleven years old," he informed/introduced; although his name hadn't been asked it was just polite to give it. Huey turned to look at the other man. "I came from Driftveil," he explained. "I was trying to get back to Chargestone Cave, but I guess I took the wrong turn." And had his face in a music book, but you know... those were the kind of details that weren't necessarily needed.
Looking about him Huey noticed the few pokemon out and about, how he hadn't noticed them before was beyond him... But they were clearly training, going about taking on the cave's wildlife; that wasn't something he wanted to interrupt. "Uhm, I like your pokemon. They look strong," he complimented, though he wasn't sure who they belonged to, or if they were a combination of the two trainer's, so he didn't address one of them directly. "I don't want to interrupt you guys, or stop you from training, and I'm not in a rush or anything. So, just, uhm, whenever you're ready to leave.. if you don't mind me.. tagging along with you?" Oh geez, that was awkward, even to him. It was just.. hard to complete sentences when around new people, at least it was for him. He'd get better at that though, maybe. Hopefully.

Jay quirked an eyebrow a bit when Sebastian didn't actually give him any answer, though... he wasn't exactly... surprised. Besides, given he pretty much asked, he might have thought it was unnecessary to tack on. He smirked a little at Sebastian's comment, figuring that almost definitely did mean it was a kid they were talking to, but frowned some as he got a nudge for his own question. He straightened some at the introduction, placing his hands in his pockets. "Nice t'meetcha, Huey. Name's Jay," he introduced in return. No, he was not going to give his age. Well... he would if he was asked. But he assumed Huey wasn't expecting that information given in return. That assumption admittedly probably came with confirming he was a kid, though.... His eyebrows rose a bit when Huey remarked where he was from. That was close. Did he just start out recently, then? Jay could tell he wasn't alone and assumed he had a pokemon with him, and assumed he was a trainer, but maybe he was just lost from home, too? Eleven was pretty young... He frowned at the mention of Chargestone Cave, though. Why did that sound familiar... "Chargestone...? That's... Oh shi-- Ow!" He was cut off as, in a flash of light, Mimey suddenly let herself out, appearing mid-air to smack her trainer upside the head.
"Jay!" she chided, telepathically translating for herself, "Do not curse in front of children!" She landed on his shoulder, her arms on her hips as she puffed her cheeks out at him. Of course, this show did nothing for the blind man, who was still rubbing his head, looking annoyed. "Ow... Mahmy don' hit me," he muttered, lightly knocking her off his shoulder. She flailed her arms, toppled over, but managed to recover in time to land on her feet.
Jay's attention was already back on Huey as he complimented their -- or rather Sebs' -- pokemon. Jay, however, grinned. "Oh well thank yew," he remarked jokingly, the smug grin on his face pretty much giving away he was joking-- not to mention his tone of voice. Quena poked her head up from his pocket, giving him a disapproving squeak, before burrowing back in. Mimey blinked and looked up at her, then looked over to Huey, giving a smile and a big wave. "Hi Huey! I'm Mimey! Of course you can tag along!" she replied welcomingly, earning quirked eyebrow and an amused sort of smirk from Jay. He didn't correct her, though. He didn't mind the kid sticking around.

Sebastian didn’t respond to the ‘what’ just shaking his head and focusing on the situation at hand. He gave a sympathetic smile as the boy agreed that getting lost in the caves was an easy thing to do. He listened curiously as Huey introduced himself, head tilting thoughtfully. Eleven? Huh… his brother was about that age too. "Nice to meet you Huey! My name’s Sebastian." He introduced after Jay had, giving the slightest of a bow in response. It was rather unnecessary but it was habit. He blinked as Huey commented on his pokemon, glancing back to check on them before smiling again.
Of course, that faded a bit as Huey explained where he was coming from and where he’d been trying to go. "Chargestone…?" Sebastian looked confused, folding his arms over his chest as he thought. "But…this… is Chargestone…," He was fairly certain that was the cave they were in. But Huey suggested otherwise and Jay’s remark didn’t exactly fill him with confidence. He was caught off guard as Mimey suddenly appeared to smack Jay for apparently his attempt to curse, a hand flying up and covering his mouth to stop a snort of a laugh in response, eyebrow quirking as he watched the commotion.
He shook his head and looked back at Huey, his hand dropping away with a smile as he commented about his pokemon. "Ah tha-" Sebastian started, stopping and looking at Jay in confusion for a moment when he responded, eyes rolling as he noticed the joke and nudged the man with his elbow again. "Thank you. Yours does too!" He finished. "And yeah, absolutely! The more the merrier right? I guess we’re just… training." Sebastian rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. "Though we were supposed to be training in Chargestone. So… if this isn’t the right cave…," Sebastian started to mumble, momentarily lost in his thoughts as he tried to figure out where they’d gone wrong. Hm… he’d have to look at his gear to find out. That was rather awkward.
"So Huey, I take it you’re a trainer right? Did you take the gym on there then?" Sebastian inquired, trying to make friendly conversation and move away from the fact that they were apparently all up in the wrong cave and not heading in the right direction. He glanced back at his cooking equipment as well. "You done with the cooking stuff Jay?"

Huey gave a nod, "it's nice to meet you, Jay and Sebastian." He was tempted to, maybe, ask their ages as well but... he wasn't exactly interested in knowing; he was fine with just knowing they were older than him. They actually sorta looked to be around Leon and Isis' age. He frowned gently and tipped his head to the side, a bit confused at Sebastian's confusion, were Jay and Sebastian lost as well?
Catching the beginning of Jay's curse--something Huey had come to realize a lot of adults did--he looked up and then stifled a giggle as a pokemon suddenly appeared to reprimand him from cursing. That was certainly something he'd never seen before, but it was funny nonetheless, and after clearing his throat a bit he turned back to address Sebastian. "This isn't Chargestone," he spoke, rather sure of himself. "Earlier a boy from the city showed me the way, and this cave doesn't look like anything like this one. Chargestone is really pretty, it has a lot of glowing blue stones."
Huey kept his smile after he'd complimented the other pokemon, though it faltered, just a bit, when he caught onto Jay's grin. Had he said something funny? It was easy to become distracted, however, when a small pokemon popped out of Jay's pocket, though its appearance was brief. It was pretty cute, though he'd never seen a pokemon like that before. "Oh, uhm, thank you!" Huey looked up at Dianna before gesturing towards her, "this is Dianna, my Emboar." Speaking of pokemon, the boy turned back to face the pokemon that had assaulted Jay, a smile starting to form. "Hi Mimey! Thank you for allowing me to stay." Of course, as friendly as she was, Huey waited until one of the two trainers agreed to let him stay, then nodded in thanks when given that permission.
Huey chuckled a bit at Sebastian, "if you want, once we leave, I can show you the way to Chargestone," he offered. "I'm sure I can find the way this time, if I'm paying attention." Since he'd been given permission to stay he figured he'd might as well try and get in a bit more training, Yuki and Beep still needed to get a bit more stronger before he took on the next gym, and so he took a moment to release the two pokemon before he directed them to a small area that would allow them to battle without getting in the way of the other pokemon already out. After making sure the two were squared away Huey turned back to the other two. "Mhm, I am," he answered. "And I did. I just finished battling Clay, so now I have five badges, and after I finish training some I'm gonna take on..." he paused, trying to recall the next gym leader's name. "...The flying lady," he finished lamely, unable to remember. "What about you guys? How many badges do you have?"

While Huey went about interacting with Jay and Sebastian his two pokemon worked to find pokemon to battle, Yuki doing it begrudgingly and often shooting cautious looks back over to her trainer. She didn't trust those other two humans, but that wasn't really a surprise, and she would've returned immediately to him if it weren't for the pesky Axew that tried to block her path. Yuki made quick work of the little dragon, but the snow from her Blizzard hadn't even melted yet before she and Beep were swarmed. Why couldn't they all just buzz off!?

Jay tilted his head a little when he caught Sebastian's remark on the cave they were in. Nooo... it wasn't. Jay wasn't quite sure how this happened, but... between the two of them, they'd managed to completely mess up. For his part, Jay had just confused the two caves-- and it wasn't until Huey mentioned Chargestone that it clicked that that was the cave he'd been thinking about. Unlike Sebastian, he actually knew what cave they were in -- though obviously not for the reasons that Huey mentioned -- he just... had thought that was the cave they were supposed to be in. He shook his head, smiling a bit and reaching up to push his hat down on his head, a bit amused, and flabbergasted, at their individual, yet combined, mistakes. "Plus it's got this sorta... electrical charge ta it," Jay added, rubbing his fingers together a bit as he tried to determine how to word it. It was clear that he was still sort of taking in the fact that they'd both been so wrong, in different ways, and yet neither caught the other's mistake.
"Don' worry, Sebs," he added, once he'd gotten over it, giving his friend a nudge with his arm, "Trainin's trainin', right? S'long as these pokes 'r providin' yers with opponents... We'll just have ta head back 'n find Chargestone once we're ready ta move on." Not.... too big a loss or anything. Heck, maybe this place was even better, training wise. More variety? Maybe? He hadn't admittedly been paying much attention to what all Sebastian's pokemon had been battling. He moved to sit back down, letting Mimey handle the 'friendly' part of greeting and permissing the boy to stay. "Oh yeah? Same here," he remarked, resting his arms on his knees, "We were just gettin' ready ta battle Skyla, think 'er name is." He lapsed into thought, but turned his head some when Sebastian addressed him. "Hm? Oh, yeah... s'pose so," he replied, smirking, "Unless y'all wanted me ta try cookin' us all somethin'." He... was joking, though he'd probably be willing to try if he knew the kid was hungry.

Sebastian listened thoughtfully as both Huey and Jay explained exactly what Chargestone Cave was. Yeah, that description was much different from what they were looking at now. He frowned and rubbed under his chin, still attempting to figure out how they’d made such a mistake and ended up here.
"Huh… I see. That sounds… nice." He remarked, smiling at Huey again as he offered to show them the way once they finally headed out. Heh, to have to help a kid lost in a cave get out only to have the same kid show them the right route to where they were going; that was kind of sad if not funny as well. He quirked an eyebrow at Jay’s comment, chuckling a moment.
"I guess you’re right. They’re getting pretty strong off the stuff here so…," He really needed to check on his team actually; if they got too strong then he was going to be having trouble later on. He dropped his arms to place his hands on his hips, looking thoughtful a moment before smiling again. "Well I think that’d work just fine. We help you get out and you show us the right way. Fair enough right?"

Sebastian’s own pokemon continued to train as well. Dixie opted to take a rest from the combatting, haven’t quickly risen in power and evolved. She was busy in fact, taking in her newly evolved form. She certainly hadn’t expected to be sporting so many guns, but it made her feel… well, badass! She’d have to show Winnie when she got the chance; which meant convincing that long haired trainer of theirs to let her out.
Snaps in the meantime, idled by, watching as Dice took on a whole slew of creatures on his own. He was a powerhouse, something to be reckoned with; which was frightening considering he was merely a toddler by pokemon standards. Frightening, the strength of toddler pokemon. Very frightening.

Huey nodded along with the detail Jay added to the description of Chargestone Cave. "The electricity made my hair stand up when I touched one of the stones," he commented absently, as if that was... extremely useful information. He nodded again when Sebastian remarked about how nice the cave sounded, it really was! And, since they all seemed to be headed in the same direction, both Jay and Sebastian would get to see that for themselves soon. "Yeah, that's fair," he agreed lightly.
Huey turned his attention away from Sebastian and Jay momentarily when they began to discuss more training, pulling out a few potions for Beep and Yuki when they came back to him, looking a little worse for wear. Once done he gave them both a pat on the head before encouraging them to continue; they were already looking so strong! "I think it is Skyla," Huey agreed as he zipped his bag back up, addressing Jay. "But that's really cool! I bet all your pokemon are really strong then." It'd been a while-- or actually, no, this was the first time he'd run into another trainer that had the same amount of badges as him. It... it was nice, and for some reason Huey felt himself grow a bit more amicable, knowing that they had that in common. "Have you taken on any other regions?" he inquired, curious as Sebastian's wording had hinted towards that.
Huey looked from Jay to Sebastian when asked if he, or his pokemon, were hungry. He was, but wouldn't it be rude to just have the two people he just met cook him something? Not to mention the whole 'don't take food from strangers' lessons his parents had drilled into his mind, growing up. "Just a little," he admitted. Dice continued with his battling, taking on another group of pokemon that had wandered their way towards him and probably regretted it. He was definitely getting tougher; if he was shooting blizzards he was smashing thing with his bone club. He needed a bit of healing after this battle but it didn’t seem to faze him at all. With Beep preoccupied it was up to Yuki to defend them against the pokemon who, foolishly, ventured too close; or were at least within striking distance. She'd since noticed how a good majority of the pokemon that lived in this cave were weak to ice types, which was rather unfortunate considering her typing and penchant for a certain move. Though the wild pokemon didn't appreciate the continuous blizzards Yuki whipped up, Beep certainly did-- at one point she even caught the Ampharos trying to make a snowman.
