Character Inspiration: Aylin was a reworking of a very basic character I first created to play around with during the 2007 Halloween event. After a little reworking she went from being an alien to being a pixie that didn't quite feel completely right. She grew into who she really is during an in guild thread in one of my first permanent guild homes on Gaia about the personas we had created for in character guild and event fun after the Dark Reflection monthly box back in 2009. Through that thread and that guild I was able to shape her into a much more complete character with a better connection to Gaia. It was the start of the Airship Saga that really saw Aylin blossom and grow into the wacky little pixie a lot of people around Gaia have come to know and love. While she wasn't created for the Airship Saga, that particular bit of plot on Gaia and what grew from it allowed Aylin's character to finally become complete and solidified within Gaia. And it was because of the Rejected Olympics in 2012 that Aylin found a second family and one of two places she can call home.

Group Inspiration: The Paparazzi were originally created as a way to track NPC interaction on the site. It evolved into what is essentially Gaia's one and only tabloid magazine. NPC Gossip columns, scandalous photographs, and sometimes legitimate interviews grace the Paparazzi pages. We are more recognized by NPCs posting on Gaia than most of the other groups I have ran across in that NPCs will go out of their way to ask me if I am the Paparazzi Editor and usually when posting they will grace our thread more often than other threads. I guess they want the fame? The fabulous fan art? Don't run from he paparazzi, baby. We'll find you.

Character Inspiration: I'm actually not sure. Penn went through a lot of race and backstory changes (still keeping the core parts of her looks: tanned, redhead, heterochromia) and when I got to "demon", it just... stuck.

Post 2K5, there was a particular Easter event where the devs didn't know what to do for that year, and since April Fools landed around the same day, they just released an exploding egg. From then on, we didn't really have easter events with the Easter Bunny until E CORP showed up. That was honestly the only inspiration on Gaia for Lapin to exist, I felt they were straying away from the Easter Bunnies existence while Jack and Santa always remained the center of attention for their holidays. So I constructed E CORP, and Lapin was the figurehead.
Aspects of Lapin were inspired by Amon from The Legend of Korra (which is what made me do the whole "wearing a mask" thing) the Guy Fawkes Mask dude from V from Vendetta (explosions and belief in taking down a corrupt system), and the group known famously throughout the internet as Anonymous (the collective mindset for a just cause, and which is why I tried to get the "everybody wear a mask" thing going).

Character Inspiration: She was created as my persona within E-CORP and is what my avatar looks like most of the time. When I joined E-CORP, I took more of a liking to the chickie side of Easter, so naturally I began to make a chickie character. When it came to battles, I would probably choose to heal rather than fight, so Cleric is right for my character.
I'd always wanted a persona on Gaia like a lot of people have, so she was built up for a very long time.

Location Inspiration: The floating port town of Porta Denia was born of the Airship Saga and the GCD Airport threads and was floating towns before Dref Dur appeared on Gaia. It's one part plot and one part collective user imagination. That's the true beauty of Porta Denia and the wacky people and locations that call this floating island home.
Group Inspiration: E-CORP was formed from the fanthread in 2011 as a way to get the Easter Bunny back after he had not been involved with Easter in the previous year. The small group did everything they could possibly think of to get the Easter Bunny back, and succeeded! E-CORP is now canon in the storyline, with its own square on the Gaia maps.

Character Inspiration: Kira existed before Gaia, but I made a Gaia version of her when Nicolae appeared. I liked to have an adventurous and sly character around, which fits Kira's nature. So I included her in the plot with Nicolae and Cresento. Yes, I have NPC crushes, don't judge me. u///u

Group Inspiration: The Gaia Casimir Alliance started out as an Airship Saga inspired role-play guild with the hopes of becoming an event group for the Frontier Skies summer event back in 2010. However, the group slowly lost steam as the year went on. With the resurfacing of the Airship Saga in April 2014 the Gaia Casimir Alliance resurfaced as well into a plot discussion group in support of the Goddess Gaia.

Character Inspiration: Andrew's physical appearance is inspired by that of Vladimir Von Helson in the Gaia Storyline. I spent a long time with the hype from the 2007 Halloween Event, "The Vampire Conflict", even after the event ended. In the summer of 2008, I created the roleplay account of Andrew and ended up just using it for everything I do on Gaia. I admired the idea of members of the family not being blind to outside views with Louie changing sides by the end of the event, so I decided to play off of that story. I have had a lifelong obsession with pirates, and got excited when I found out about steampunk and airships. The "airship pirate" hybrid seemed exciting, as did Gaia's vampires, so I used my new OC to try out the concepts together.
