Welcome to the Original Character Archives a catalog of original characters created by Gaians to live in, work within, and experience the world of Gaia. These characters are more than just a simple avatar used to represent us around Gaia. They are citizens of the Gaian landscape, townsfolk, and even members of the groups that are a part of our Gaian lore. They were created as a way to experience events and became so much more here on the site. They have become our connection to the plot because of the plot.
So what is the goal of this archive? The archive will attempt to collect as many original characters created by Gaians to be a part of the Gaian world. Not only will it list the characters we have created for Gaia but it will also seek to be an understanding of why these characters exist within the Gaian world. It will also serve as a link to the profiles for these characters. The secondary goal of the archive will be have a list of original characters within Gaia for use in any in character event fun and role-playing.
It will be this archive that will also be used as a way to show to others around Gaia just what the plot on Gaia inspires within the users. It will be a record of why these characters are important to the users behind them. It will also serve as a link to any user created locations and groups within the Gaian world because the plot inspires more than just original citizens it also inspires original organizations, towns, and buildings around Gaia.
This is where you the user on Gaia come in. If you have ever created an original character to use within the world of Gaia be they for role-playing or to be a part of a plot group then we want to get to know who they are. If you have ever created an original location within the world of Gaia then we want to learn about it. If you have created or are a part of a plot or event inspired user group that exists within the world of Gaia we want to know about it. We also want to know what inspired this original creation for the world of Gaia. We want to know what gave birth to the idea for your original characters and locations. That is the goal for this archive.
Before we can get down to the business of collecting all the original characters and locals around Gaia there are a few small rules to follow within this thread.
1. THE TOS IS YOUR FRIEND. Please Obey the rules of the site or Bucket!Gino will be sad. 2. Be courteous to others. No flaming/harassing please. This is a place for keeping track of Original Characters first. If you do not care for a particular user or their character pay no attention to them and leave it out of the thread. 3. Please use the accompanying form to submit your characters/locations. This will make your characters stand out and present our reasons behind them much better. 4. Images will be either linked to or put under a spoiler tag. Any artwork of your original characters that you wish to accompany your submission will be allowed but it is asked you link to them or place them under a spoiler to keep things uniform.

Our characters do more than just exist within the world of Gaia for in character event fun and role-playing. Some of them are members of groups made to exist within the plot and the world of Gaia. They support our NPCs and gather together users to experience the plot and events on a whole new level of user interaction. If you're a part of any user run plot organizations like the GIB or D-Party, to name a few examples, and would like to add them to the archives then you can use the following form.

The plot inspires more than just original characters and groups. There are also original towns, buildings, and businesses inspired by the plot as well. If you've created any new in world locations used in Gaia based role-playing or as a part of your user run plot groups then you can add them to the archives with the following form.

There's an old saying in real estate, location location location. Locations, be they the canon creations of the staff at Gaia Interactive or the creations of the users around the site, help expand the world of Gaia and paint a more comprehensive picture of the Gaian landscape. These user creations give us places beyond the borders of the four canon towns and the floating island town of Dref Dur and help the Gaian landscape grow far beyond the small window of canon life on Gaia we're exposed to. That's what makes these places special. They give users a place to experience the world of Gaia in new and unique ways. And with this compilation of original user made locations within Gaia we'll be able to experience even more of the Gaian landscape through the eyes of the people who created them.

Whether a group embodies the spirit of a holiday, the ideals of a single NPC, the notion that no NPC is off limits, or simply seeks to bring together like minded Gaians under a singular cause these groups are an important connection to the plot on Gaia. They give users a place to showcase the creative things the plot inspires in them and allow them to band together for a common plot related cause. They allow users to show their alliances and their love for the NPCs and the plot on Gaia through in character event fun and speculative discussions. They inspire wacky acronyms and even become a lasting part of the site we love so much. That is why it's important to have a list of as many plot and event groups as possible to showcase what the plot on Gaia gives birth to.

The ones solving the mysteries of an alien message. The passionate spokesperson for their very race. The dedicated workers behind the groups we've come to know and love. They nmay ot have an NPC designation next to their name but these characters are just as important.
