The Diabi Orb
Khaldera gave a soft, rumbling sound, her silver eyes going quite wide as she saw something rather interest there before her. It was a merchant, not just a merchant but a sleeping merchant. Her tail set to swishing behind her as she started forward toward the sleeping man, looking him over, before her attention went to the pile of goods that were alongside the man. She wasn't normally one for 'shopping' but she just might do so, if only because there was something in the air that had caught her attention. It was a dragon orb, wasn't it? It had a nice power to it, the sort that had her digging through the piles next to the merchant until she found what it was that had drawn her full attention.
Hmm? Khaldera found herself starring down at the dark orb that glimmered with power, the sort that coincided to the power that she had within her. A Diabi orb? Glorious! She'd never seen one of these orbs before because she wasn't strong enough to take on those huge, powerful beasts herself. Kiandri were starting to get a bit dull, having battled with them several times now, meaning she'd need to find new prey soon. Khaldera knew full well that she wouldn't be going back to Soudul to battle with Diabi next, but this orb had come from someone fighting with them.
After another glance the way of the merchant she reached out, scooping the Diabi orb up in her claws, looking it over. It was quite lovely wasn't it? It seemed to just pulse with dark power, something that made her give a little shiver of excitement. It was so beautiful! So amazing! She had to have it! Turning to glance at the sleeping man again she found herself debating how to go about it. She supposed that she could always just eat him, right? No, the man was someone who was worthy of respect even if he was just a male, he'd obtained the Diabi orb after all. She could always just take it, tempting, but no, she'd show her respect to the two legged breeder by leaving something in return.
Khaldera raced off with the Diabi orb, hiding it, before she went on her search for something to leave the merchant in exchange. It didn't take too long before she found something perfect! Coconuts, the trees grew around the oasis that she'd found after leaving the ocean. The fruit, when cracked open, held the flesh of the fruit as well as the juice within. It was the coconuts that she left behind in a pile next to the sleeping man before Khaldera was off to retrieve her orb and head for the ocean. She would be long gone by the time the man woke up and realized that he now had a pile of coconuts instead of his Diabi orb.
Here was to hoping the breeder wouldn't come to bother her because she wasn't going to give it back. He might have gotten the orb from... wherever he'd fought the Diabi, she'd stolen it fair and square! It was hers now and was of the utmost importance as far as the ritual to become a Merkorian was concerned or so she'd been told.

A Shopping Trip
Khaldera had decided that it was time for another shopping trip... though it wasn't because she was the sort that enjoyed shopping. Instead it was because she had run across a merchant and said merchant had on hand a lot of darkly beautiful Diabi orbs. There was just something about them that made Khaldera's entire being shiver with delight at the mere sight of them. She wanted them, all of them, but didn't feel as though she was strong enough to kill Diabi dragons for them. As such she could only get them from merchants. The last time she got her claws on one it was via taking one from a sleeping merchant. This time around she wasn't going to be as lucky, was she? No, this time she would actually need to deal with the merchant face to face.
As she approached the man she found herself wondering if she could use her lure to confuse and bedazzle the man. Was that a way to get what she wanted? She knew that it was, having used her lure to mess with two-legs before in the past but since she was taking more then a single orb this time she didn't know if it would work. Wanting to get a whole mass of orbs would take a lot more time, meaning that it wouldn't work. As such she needed another way to go about it... and that way was going to be things that only she could get her claws on. It was jewels, the glowing ones her clan used to light up the darkness where her clan lived. Leaving the merchant behind to fetch them was a difficult thing for the orb obsessed Khaldera. It had also taken her some time to find him again, having to track him down, and even had to approach too close to a two-legs town then she liked to buy from him.
Walking over to where the merchant was set up she came stand in front of him, her tail swishing. She starred the man down for a long moment, their gazes meeting for a long moment before she turned to dig through her basket. Producing the glowing jewels she laid them out on the stall in front of the man before she said, "I want the Diabi Orbs, all of them." With that she motioned at said orbs with a clawed forefoot, wanting to get her hands on them, to put them into her basket along with the others that she'd gathered to this point. Sitting back she waited, watching as the man gathered the jewels, inspecting each of them closely, organizing them by quality.
Once the man was finally through with his inspection of jewels he laid out a group of orbs, "I will trade six of them, max, take it or leave it."
It was an offer that had her prickling a little. As much as she wanted to bite him in response she knew she couldn't. If she tried that she would lose those six orbs, not to mention that the other two-legs might come after her. She was too busy to go off fighting with a bunch of squishy, two-legs so she supposed that she could take these orbs and be on her way, right?
