A memory began to play in her head and she closed her eyes, letting it in. - - - - - - -
The wind picked up behind her and the swing next to her breathed into life on its own while she kicked her feet against the ground to move herself. Today was her special day and here she was sitting on the swing-set alone. A small sigh left her and she kicked up against the ground again. Behind her a shadow came over the play area and she felt the chain of her swing stopped.
"There you are short-stuff." Her brother looked down at her with a bright smile shining. "I've been looking for you, haven't you heard me calling?"
She puffed out her cheeks and looked up at him backwards, her hair falling down as she started up at him. "No, and I would've." Her ears twitched before she pushed forward, standing again. She felt better with him there, but the day had not gone her way so far.
Before she could protest or perhaps whine to him she felt his strong arms grab her and put her on his back, carrying her with him back towards their house. "Bunny not feeling good or something?" He teased gently
"Don't call me that." She said, but couldn't help but smile as she grabbed onto his ears for support. "I'm too old to be called a bunny."
"Mhmm." His mind was elsewhere, but he at least was happy. On top of him she let out another sigh.
"What's for dinner?" She said as he ducked down past their front door, maybe if it was good it could salvage what was forgotten.
A loud shouted "SURPRISE" made her ears twitch unhappily and his arms came up and set her down to a glorious scene. Mother, Father, friends and extended family - all of them facing her holding a large white cake. The petite girl nearly started to cry as her brother gave her a hug from behind.
"You know we wouldn't forget right?" He said, tickling her lightly.
She giggled and nodded. "Of course!" Hugging him back she was filled with an exploding sense of happiness and belonging. She dove happily towards her family and hugged them each, bouncing around happily. Friends came to her, handing presents and hugs and tears had formed in her eyes.
In the twinkling of the setting sun among the games and chattering of friends and family she sat in front of her cake, bouncing. "Happy birthday to you~" The song lifted from the windows of the small house and the young girl enthusiastically blew out the candles. Faces were smiling back at her and she grabbed tightly to her brothers arm as she stuffed her face with one of her favorite treats.
"Thank you." She said, cake covering her face.
"Don't thank me silly." He said, wiping her mouth off with a napkin. "Don't forget that you're loved, alright Mea? And big brother is going to be here to help."
All she could do was grin. Happiness, kindness, trust... how could she ever have thought differently? I'm truly loved.
- - - - - - -
When she had finished she felt elated, much happier than even the cake had made her. Was that really her life? She shook her head a little and peeked at the tea manual which had appeared. More memories? Barely understanding her own she was anxious about it, but shrugged and bounded off quickly. She was after all, in the best mood she'd been in since she had opened her eyes.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Brown. Description: Topnotes: isolation. Comfort rises to the fore as the tea washes down the throat, and then a sweet sort of shock. And in the end, belonging. Your commentary on its flavour: For some reason, the memory made Sarviur feel incredibly sympathetic. The concept of family was, of course, important to him, although now that he thought of it he couldn't remember anyone other than a mother, from his own tea. There was everyone, gathered round, and Sarviur smiled to see it. He liked things whole, he thought. And he certainly liked being remembered, as Mea (Bunny?) did. Especially on her birthday. Of all the sweet teas he tasted, he was fairly certain he was most fond of this one.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Gold Description: Caring, joy, happiness Your commentary on its flavour: Rika smiled at the feelings of caring the girl had for her brother. As she continued sipping, a warm feeling rose up in her that she recognized as joy. It left a cozy feeling that she never wanted to stop. The feeling of happiness became interlaced within and left a feeling of contentment within her. This feeling of being with those who loved you that you loved in turn. It was an overall sweet memory. Realizing she had drained the cup, Rika looked at it in disappointment that it was gone. Giving a sigh, she placed the cup down gently, taking in the warmth she'd felt..

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Gold Description: Loneliness is quickly overtaken and banished by the taste of belonging and then surprise and a love that lingers and lasts Your commentary on its flavour: Nerrisa smiled and reluctantly set down the cup, she could have tasted it again and again. The way doubts were banished by love and the happiness of the memory filled her. She hoped that little ghoul had continued to be surrounded by love and family and celebrated many more happy birthdays. She hummed the tune softly reminded of her own happy memory. She looked at the other cups on the table but refrained from trying another, she enjoyed this loving taste and wanted it to linger as long as she could make it.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Sunrise Gold Description: Fragant of caring, sweet of joy, nutmeg from happiness. Your commentary on its flavour:He puts down his cup while smiling. A memory of a loving family. A memory of happy occasion. A memory full of love and warmth. He reached for his own heart. Did he have such a loving family before? Did they did a secret birthday surprise before? He didn't remember. He noted something on the Guest Book and moved, still smiling. Hope that warm sweetness will help him complete this task. On the book was a note scribbled down: "Happy belated birthday!"

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Dull bronze. Description: Sadness, distress, disappointment followed prominently by contentment, then overwhelming love. Love to drown out the sorrow, purge the bitterness of it. Your commentary on its flavour: F Raumias felt herself laughing, as she watched the memory unfold: at first, there had been a tenuous sadness, a feeling of being forgotten, left out, alone. Suddenly, so suddenly to her, the appearance of Mea’s brother had changed the whole tone of the memory: it had become soft, and colloquial. They joked with each other like siblings must, and she could feel the tenderness between them, despite the occasional irritation Mea vocalized.
The best feeling of all, the one that left her with a warm contentment for a few seconds after the memory was over, was the feeling of being surrounded by loved ones, all celebrating her. As Mea, Raumias had felt what it was like to be surrounded by people who loved her... She wondered what it was like, when she surfaced, to have earned that in the first place.
