Examining the jar by turning it in her hands, she found the tag. Drink me. Well, alright. Down the hatch! Hale chugged the jar, throwing her head back until all its contents were gone. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, and eyed the inside of the jar to make sure she got every last drop as she felt warmness well up in her chest. She set the empty jar back down, and rubbed at her heart as the table top spun and items poofed into existence. It didn’t alarm her, and she was too busy reveling in this pleasant feeling and this feeling of peace. So this was what it felt like…

Hale blinked, and focused back on the table. Woah…it had poofed into snacks! She looked from one end to the other, taking in the rich and decorative cake, down to the plain and simple cookies. Looking at the cakes…well, they felt and looked too rich for her. No…that wasn’t her at all. She liked things to be plain and simple. Straightforward.

She reached out and took a cookie, taking a bite of it. Hopefully the Goddess made this, as she had forgotten to take one off the tray earlier. Oops. Hopefully she wouldn’t be upset…

Hale felt even more at peace as she munched on the cookie, and her head didn’t feel as busy. As she looked around the table again, she realized she was thirsty. Even if she didn’t like tea, well, it was the goddess’s tea party, and she’d be damned if she turned away anything from the goddess. She could handle tea.

She looked over the tea cups, and her nose wrinkled at the sight of the pink one with floral patterns. No. It was too…too…girly? Her gaze slid over the next one, and while the ivory color was nice, it was very delicate looking. No. Finally her gaze settled on the last one. It was yellow, which was a pleasant color to her, but most important, it looked sturdy. She liked that. She liked it a lot.

Hale took the yellow tea cup.

Hale finished her cookie, and then held the sturdy yellow tea cup between her two hands. She drank from it, and her eyes widened as she stared at the tea pot as a rush of feelings swept over her.

She’d been pretty rotten this past year. Rude without remorse, insensitive to most, terribly petty, vindictive, and unforgiving to those who crossed her. Frustrated, taking it out on those closest to her, nagging, holding onto others so tightly she was smothering them. It had been a series of unfortunate events that had compounded upon her, and she had been stuck in this rut, unable to claw her way up on her own. She had fallen so far from the person she had been.

Then someone who did care about her snapped her out of it with some well placed words, and it was the equivalent of someone flicking a light switch in a dark room. She couldn’t find the light switch on her own. She had been in that dark room the entire time and her eyes hadn’t adjusted, and she couldn’t find it. But someone did, and now that she could see what was illuminated, she realized, too, that she didn’t want to be that person she currently was. She never wanted to be, so how did she get there? How could she let herself become that?

Beating herself up about it though wouldn’t fix anything. She wouldn’t change by beating herself up, so she took the step forward, out of that room she had trapped herself in. She was going to change. She was going to be that person she used to be, but better. She was going to blow that person she used to be out of the water. She had made this resolve recently, actually, and she was quick to act upon it. She was minding herself, her manners, her attitude, her actions, and her words. Catching herself if she started to slip, whipping herself back into a good attitude.

She had hope, excitement, and anticipation for herself, and she yearned for what lie ahead of her. She loved challenges. She loved to better herself. She loved to grow, and she couldn’t wait to show everyone else too what she was going to make of herself.

That excitement and hope from the memory still lingered, and Hale couldn’t help but feed off of it. To change. To grow…even if she wasn’t sure exactly what that recollection was or where it fit into her existence, she felt that desire and hope to grow and become the best she could. She set her cup down, and noted the log, and then noted all the other tea pots as well.

Heh.

Well, she had always been a curious (read as: nosy) soul…let’s see what everyone else is feeling…

Colour of Tea Tasted: Pink
Description: It starts pessimistically, but then she receives a wake up call. She tries to change herself for the better.

Your commentary on its flavour: This tea was the perfect balance of sweetness--not too much, but not too little either. It was almost bitter at first, filled with the owner's frustration. But then a loved one managed to help her. How sweet! It only got sweeter as the owner made a physical effort to change herself. Lectoa smiled as she set the tea cup down. She hoped the owner got what she wanted in the end.

Colour of Tea Tasted: Pink
Description: Introspective, determined, and a sense of looking to the future

Your commentary on its flavour: In its own right, this tea was also fairly pleasant to taste. It wasn't overtly sweet or anything like that. Nush enjoyed the strong determination that was felt through this. There was something rather uplifting about that feeling to never give up.

Colour of Tea Tasted: Pink
Description: Sad, regretful but with a light and delightful aftertaste.

Your commentary on its flavour: Tiletk smiled a little as he tasted the tea. It was something he could honestly believe in. Wanting to change and for the better. People were capable of change - he believed this, he wanted to believe this. He supported the desire held within the flavors and hoped for the best.

Colour of Tea Tasted: Pink
Description: Downward Spiral. Rut. Understanding. Change. Hope.

Your commentary on its flavour: Sometimes, all you needed was that one person to tell you something that should have been obvious. You spend so much time focusing in one direction you forget there is at least another eight of them that surrounds you at any given moment. She was happy for this person, they had someone who would do that for them, and she was even happier that it was being acted on. Change was a scary thing, but it seemed like she would make it through okay.

Colour of Tea Tasted: pepto pink
Description: Changing, learning self control, becoming a new person.

Your commentary on its flavour: There is obvious inner struggle at the beginning of this brew. Something dark perhaps or at least a personality that the person didn't like had taken seed. They wanted to change and finally found the will to do so. It finishes with a sense of hope and determination and I can only hope they met their goal.

Colour of Tea Tasted: Pink
Description: Hopeful, Determined, Strong, Resilient

Your commentary on its flavour: Itoto felt something he'd never felt as he sipped the tea, his heart warming and his soul strengthening. To see someone try so hard to better themselves, and to do it with a heart full of assurance of their own worth... it was breath taking. He could learn from this amazing soul, he was sure.

In fact.. he wished her all the best. He hoped her journey to find her best self would work out. Maybe this world did have good memories.

Colour of Tea Tasted: Pink
Description: Seems a little regretful in the beginning. Becomes a little more optimistic, and ends with a touch of determination.

Your commentary on its flavour: Vae wanted to give the girl a nice hair ruffle. She was proud of you, stranger! It was never easy to admit one's faults, but not only had she realized and accepted her mistakes, but she was trying to change. While it was impossible to change the things that happened in the past, there was still plenty of opportunities to do so in the future.

Grinning, Vae murmured a quiet "good luck".

Colour of Tea Tasted: Light Pink
Description: Dark, kind, with a nice hopeful finish.

Your commentary on its flavour: She smiled slightly at the darkness the girl in question had remembered at the beginning of the memory. It had been a dark place yet when this friend had snapped her out of it the girl seemed to snap out of the funk she had been in. The made her really grin as she enjoyed the feeling of anticipation that came with the moment. She could understand the feeling of hope associated with this memory. It was always nice to be given a second chance after all.

Colour of Tea Tasted: Pink
Description: A flavor that begins as strong but becomes sweet...ish.

Your commentary on its flavour: There is some fight at the beginning, trying to change from one flavor to the next, it was difficult to figure out which way it was going; strong with a kick or sweet and mellow. But he was content with the flavor at it's end. Change.

Colour of Tea Tasted: Pink
Description: It begins with a bitter kick then softens to a sweet hope and acceptance. Growth is a key element.

Your commentary on its flavour: To be so down on yourself was a strange emotion for Mel'ae to feel. The girl was remorseful, unhappy and in a dark place. At least there had been a friend there to help her and knock her out of it. She smiled as the memory twisted with the attitude of the girl. It was out of that darkness and into a place of light, a place of hope. Not only hope but action.

Mel'ae was rooting for her and caught herself smiling at the feeling of anxiety which was swelling up like a balloon. The girl in the memory WANTED this she WANTED that hope and was working for what she wanted by being driven through the hope. She smiled as she set the cup down, feeling like she needed to feel the memory like this. "Thank you." She muttered. It was rather inspiring.
