Task 3 There was some apprehension when Ruse approached the goddesses for the third task. The last two had left her drained and confused, so would this one prove the same? Upon seeing her patron goddess beaming smile, the shadow felt relieved. This goddess wasn't overbearing, didn't smother her with protection or question if she was predator or prey. In fact, she even offered her a cookie. "Yes please" She returned the smile, taking one cookie and munching on it's sugary goodness. And then hearing her describe the other goddesses as 'meanies', it was pretty funny. "Of course I love you Goddess" She replied with earnests, hearing that wavering line at the end. "I chose you, remember?" She doubted it, but still. And then she was asked...to a tea party. Ruse tried not to look stunned at this. It just seemed so surreal. She had to experience emotions? Well, why not? When she was prompted, Rusekop walked through the Hedges that formed, and towards the table at the end.

It was a nice change of pace to see the table ahead of her and nothing else. She felt the white flakes fall upon her hair, and heard the crunch of the powdery stuff underneath her feet. The music in the air felt nostalgic to her ears, even if she hadn't heard it before. Approaching the table, she saw the two jugs, and felt attracted to the pink one. It did give her a feeling of happiness. Ruse took the pink jar, reading the little note on it. Drink me. Simple enough. She lifted the contents and drunk heartily, feeling the warmth of happiness spread through her entire being. It was golden, undiluted light-heartiness and it was so refreshing she couldn't help but laugh, feeling at peace for the first time in ages. The table then changed, now showing a variety of snacks she could choose from. The cake looked pretty good, so she took that. One bite from this however filled her head with so much ecstasy that it overwhelmed her for a moment. She needed something to wash it down. As soon as she thought this, two tea cups appeared in front of her, and her eyes immediately set on the gold tea cup, with it's delicate patterns and precious metals. Ruse sipped at the contents, feelings of pride and confidence washed over her and trigging a memory of a time gone by- Two scarelings were running away from one of the local bullies. Being reapers, they were no match for the troll that lumbered after them. He was a giant pain in the a** and everyone knew it, but few had the guts to stand up to this brute.
She was one of those few.
The troll monster had managed to corner them behind the school, waving it's arms around and growling, scaring the wits out of the scarelings. They were screaming, and he was enjoying himself, too busy to notice the figure on top of the roof.
Before he realized what had happened, Pokerus had dropped from her perch and tackled the troll to the ground. He may of been stronger, but she was more tenacious, not willing to give up as she scratched and bit at his head and arms. It also helped that he was also a big coward and couldn't stand anyone facing up to him. Before long he was running away crying for his mommy.
Straightening herself, she turned to the two reapers behind her. "It's okay, he's gone now." She replied, rubbing a bruise above her right eye where he had cuffed her.
She would never forget their looks of gratitude, as they thanked her for saving them. Tea cup memoriesVanedaIxyguinLinswo IgnyOwlPalemGanximeiKinArynSarviurTsumiNushYiroShaw

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale Yellow Description: Amusing, Relief, Joy. Funny. Your commentary on its flavour: At first, it hit her hard. There was a sense of build up as the memory played. Vaneda never had to suffer from bullies, but she couldn't say why. there was a sense that she had a protector somewhere. But she didn't know who. But the boys were being teased, and being teased was never fun. The heroine of the story thought the same. It was like watching a slow moment in a superhero movie. The troll who thought himself better, and meaner....A girl with large wings swooping in. And no matter how strong the troll was, the girl was smarter. Faster. And unwilling to give up. Vaneda could feel herself cheering for her at the end when the girl stood victorious. Yes, A protector for others. Somewhere that rang what she was...but it was gone as she cheered forever for the girl.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale yellow Description: Recklessness, compassion, and a sweet victory Your commentary on its flavour:He wondered if the urge here was to save the scarelings, or to bask in their looks of gratitude. He felt that the two might be inseparable, but that perhaps it was wrong of him to think this. It felt like a dirty thought--tying heroism up with worship--but it felt familiar, too. It was the recklessness, though, that impressed him most. The absolute confidence in ability, the lack of hesitation. Part of him admired it. The other part of him was appalled. A strong and heady blend, but perhaps it would have been better-rounded with a dose of caution? But that was just Amity speaking: Amity, who would never know what it was to have faith in his own potential. Drinking this memory brought the bitter tang of envy.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale Yellow Description: Pride, victory, a vigilante. Your commentary on its flavour: A frown marred Axel's face at the actions of the troll, his arms crossed at his teasing and mocking of the two little girls. That just wasn't very fair or nice, quite the rude thing to do. He'd probably been spoiled and pampered by his mother. He leaned forward at the scuffle, grimacing when the attacker was cuffed, but letting out a soft cheer when she prevailed. Pride was good, in this sense. Pride in helping others was a good thing.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale Yellow. Description: Amusement, relief, and victorious. Your commentary on its flavour: Fighting to survive was something oddly familiar to him. Yet the way the scareling stood up to fend for herself and two others like herself against a giant foe was admirable. Hopefully she did it to protect the two because they were like her or because she was inspired to be a hero. And while the entire memory amused him, it was with great relief that nothing bad had happened to the three. She might have injured herself, the bruise was a mark of victory, one to be proud of.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale Yellow Description: Bravery and recklessness. Altruism. Triumphant. Thankfulness. Your commentary on its flavour: She found herself chuckling as the memory faded away, lifting a hand to cover her mouth. That girl...she certainly had some courage, didn't she? Despite the fact the troll had seemed quite large--and quite intimidating, really--she had jumped down to fight him regardless. She had to admit that she was really quite amused, but she felt a flicker of pride as well. Okay, so perhaps all that biting was a little...well...but it was certainly sweet of her to scare away the bully for the two scarelings.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale Yellow Description: Sharp, bold, satisfying. Your commentary on its flavour: This feeling... I think maybe I felt a little bit of it when I fought the beasts and won? But it felt so much stronger for this person. If I was like this person, I wouldn't want to give that up for anything! Just knowing I could feel this way would change everything forever... to be so strong, so brave, so confident...

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale yellow. Description: Fear at first, though soon replaced by courage. A demonstration of selfless behavior, fighting off an enemy to protect others; a wash of gratitude, ending on a sweet note. Your commentary on its flavour: This one was a pleasant one, he could tell. Imuiel watched as the young ones were first chased, straightening up with muffled anger that such a boorish lout had decided to do something like that to those younger and smaller than he was. The feeling only intensified when the pair was cornered, though it stopped abruptly as a fourth shape entered the fray--and began to drive the troll off, outmaneuvering her larger opponent with no signs of stopping until he was gone. Now that the younger ones were saved, he relaxed, smiling as the memory faded away. The teacup was placed back on the table, and he nodded, mentally cataloguing the feeling of pride. This was...good pride, he noted. Acceptable.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale Yellow Description: A triumphantly fruity taste to it, followed by a warm honey taste Your commentary on its flavour: Oh she was so very brave! Igny wished she could be as wonderful as the little dragon girl. She protected those who couldn't ... There was a deep longing in Igny's mind. She wanted to be like that some day. When she was a goddess, she determined to protect those who couldn't from death and pain. There would be no more trolls in Igny's rule.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Gold Description:A taste of justice, bravery, and pride Your commentary on its flavour:Nerissa enjoyed the cup, this tea brought with it a good feeling. She was proud of whoever it was who had the courage to stand up for the little scarelings. She had the sense that whatever the place and whoever the person the knowledge of what was right and worth fighting for were there. She tried to keep the feeling close to her heart, she was almost reluctant to taste another cup, after all they weren't all as good as this one.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale Yellow Description: Lighthearted and fun. Your commentary on its flavour: Palem had been a little hesitant to try another tea, so many had been filled with harsh memories but to her delight, this one was filled with a happier memory. One filled with a small adventure and a grand entrance of a savior. The girl in this memory has stood up to a giant foe, helping those in need. She wished she could like this.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Gold Description: Fearlessness, pride, justice Your commentary on its flavour: Yiro smiled as she allowed the cup to linger at her lips, thinking of the dragon's insistence to help with something that wasn't even her trouble to begin with. She couldn't say that she would do the same thing, but more power to the teapot's owner for taking responsibility just because she was stronger.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Gold Description: Tenacity, honor, courage Your commentary on its flavour: The urge to cheer for whomever had stood up to the troll was almost overwhelming. She settled for a laugh. They'd done well protecting the little ones like that... and with a sneak attack, ha! Took guts to stand up to something so much bigger, and potentially deadly, than one's self. Hard not to admire that.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale Yellow Description: Pride, courage, gratitude, justice Your commentary on its flavour: Ganximei had to admit, this memory was one that filled her with a lot of pride. She didn't like bullies. Not one bit. No one had the right to pick on others and make them feel scared like this troll was. It it weren't just a memory she probably would have jumped right in there. But it was the owner of this memory who did the jumping in. Throwing all caution to the wind to stand up to someone who preyed upon the weak and the helpless. That was something to admire and something to be proud of. Risking your own safety was a bit reckless, but helping others in a time of need showed a lot for one's character.
