She felt a calling. No, she was drawn to the Shrine. Drawn down into it's center until she finally arrived. Two pedestals in the center, one empty. Ganximei moved towards the empty one, reading it's inscription. Some of the words were missing.
How strange.
Quickly she turned to the statue still there. The Goddess spoke, but seemed busy all the same. But she had no time to fret about disturbing her as soon a simple bag was in her hands. Opening it upon the Goddesses' request she found...nothing. The Goddess seemed perplexed for only a breath. "More parts? The heart...." Was she suppose to go take another's heart. One like her own?
Ganximei felt a bit uneasy about it. Taking the scissors and turning towards the small opening she needed to go through. She glanced back at the Goddess who merely smiled at her before she wiggled through the opening.
Once through she came upon what seemed to be doors. Three of them in fact. Each slightly different than the next. Strange symbols upon them, but the one with the Pumpkin on it is what drew her the most. It was a comforting sight for some strange reason. Ganximei chose this door.
She pushed it open and stepped through.

As she stepped through the door a light humming noise came to her ears. A feeling of nostalgia swept through her. How strange.
The door swung shut heavily with a thud. It was dark for the briefest of moments before orange faces began to light up all around her. But they weren't normal faces no, they were faces. Pumpkin faces that smiled, scowled and frowned. But they gave her a happy feeling and a sense of calm. In fact, she kind of laughed at a few of the sillier looking ones.
A tug of urgency made her feet move forwards, pumpkins lighting the way in an obvious path. But she didn't mind as long as they weren't leading her to certain doom. In fact, not leading her to certain doom would totally be ok with her. For a time it seemed as if the pumpkin lighted path would not end, until suddenly she came upon a lone hill. The dry grass that spread across it shifted and heaved as bright orange flowers that bloomed everywhere glowed softly.
For a moment everything was silent. Still.
Ganximei then noticed the large tombstone at the very peak of the hill. How strange of a place for this to be. Curiosity got the best of her and slowly she made her way up the hill. Step by step. Her legs felt a bit heavy for some reason. Was it dread? Was this her tombstone? Was she dead?
Someone had placed flowers here against the stone. Leaning forward, she brushed them aside to read the inscription. "Here lies...Shing?" Ganximei blinked rapidly as the name suddenly had meaning. Shing, he was a boy like her thought not like her. Tall, white hair. Deep brown eyes. She stretched out thin fingers, aiming to trace the name carved into the stone when suddenly...
....
A cool pond and small feet submerged in it. She sat on the edge of the koi fish pond, watching the little fishies as they nibbled at her toes. A small giggle because they tickled sometimes.
Suddenly there was a splash, she squealed as water hit her in the face. It was a bit refreshing but even still it was quite the shock to such a quiet afternoon of contemplation. She looked up with a slight scowl, brows furrowed. What she found in front of her was a ball half submerged in the water, the fish curious nibbled on it slightly.
Then a boil ran up. "Heeeeyyyy!" It was the new one to the compound, she didn't really catch his name upon introduction day but that did not matter. She clenched small fists as he came to a stop at the edge of the pool. An oh s**t I'm in trouble look coming to his face. "Ah-ahahaha I'm sorry did you get wet?"
Was it not obvious? "Yes." A short reply, how dare he splash her, even on accident! She might not of been the most social of the children but that didn't mean he could splash her accident or no accident.
"Well I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to on purpose it just kind of flew out of my control." Taking his shoes off, he waded into the water to retreive the ball. "I hope the fish are ok that probably wasn't pleasant for them either." He waded back to her, he was so much taller. His hair fully white, how was it his was all white already? Deep brown eyes, she was having a hard time staying mad the more she looked at him. He had a charm about him that just oozed from his being.
"I'm Shing, lets be friends ok?" The offering of friendship was a shock to her, not many chanced friendship with her because of who her parents were. They were too afraid that if something happened they would get in serious trouble. But his wide grin and offered hand to shake was....accepting. He had to know but still?
Slowly she took his hand. "Ok...." Her voice was strained. A friend.
"Good! Now come on lets go play some ball with the others!" Before she could protest he was dragging her away from the pond. Both of them barefoot, but she was fine with that. He treated her nice enough and wanted her to participate in the game. It was a first and for that she was happy.
......
And then it was gone.
A sense of loss and longing overwhelmed her as she was finally able to brush her fingers against the name. The sound thumping noise just barely audible through the soil beneath her. The heart! His heart?
She needed it. For her Goddess.
Ganximei began to dig, down down down. It wasn't that far honestly. And soon she was brushing the last of the dirt aside and there was the heart. Glowing, beating. Her hand reaching, she grasped it firmly. It was still attached but she remidied that with a few snips. And as she pulled it out it slowly began wind down. Its rhythmic beating now gone. It was silent.
Holding it carefully in her hand, she opened her bag. Placing the heart tenderly inside and closing it back up.

Soon she left the hill. Continuing down a path once more. The glowing flowers and the tombstone were gone. But the pumpkins were still there. They were a heart warming sight.
But it was not long before the floor felt strange. Not quite as solid as it once had been, Ganximei slipped a couple of times. It became stickier and harder to walk in, her feet making schlooping noises every now and again. But then there was a dead end, she could not go any furthur it seemed. No pumpkins to really lead her anywhere.
"Well now what...?"
She thought she heard a sloshing sound and quickly turned to look. Nothing. Must have been her imagination. Turning back around she walked this way, then walked that way.
"Please give it back."
Again a voice behind her, she whirled around. Nothing. Giving a nervous laugh, she picked another direction. The sticky floor became even more watery. A bit easier to move in but it also became deeper. A bit distressing.
"Please give me back my-"
Out of no where two hands grabbed her, she tried to whirl around to see who had her but in that moment she was pushed down under the water. Bubbles escaping her mouth as she screamed and thrashed about. With no success in getting the hands off her, but she did manager to turn and see what did have her. She could feel herself fading, as if at any moment she would disappear right then and there.
Grey eyes stared at her. "Give me back my heart." Teeth bared. He was trying to drown her.
...
"I don't know why you have to go. I hear nothing but bad things about that school." A young adult Shing leaned against a thin door frame, arms crossed over his chest as he scowled at nothing in the distance.
A heavy sigh came from her as she continued to pack things in boxes and bags. "Because one day I'm going to have to take over for my parents and I need to know more than just whats here in this compound." She turned, older but still young. A warm smile on her lips as she cleared the space between them with a few quick strides. "It'll be ok Shing, I'll be back before you know it." Patting his shoulder, he caught her hand.
Deep brown eyes peering down at her. "I just....be safe ok?" His voice wavered a bit. Worry wracked his mind. She had never been in the outside world on her own before and he could not go with her.
"Come on now I'm a big girl. I think I can handle my-" He gathered her small form up in a tight hug, a light frown tugging at the corner of her lips. "You worry too much. I'll be ok."
"I lo..."
...
And it was gone. As fast as the last had come as well. She struggled to remove the hands that were trying to drown her. Tried to choke back the sobs that merely came out as bubbles as she stared into his blank, grey eyes.
These were not his eyes.

No, no, no, no, no.
She could not end here. She had to get back. Had to fulfill this task. Get the blessings. Become a Goddess. Ganximei kicked her legs, tried to pry his hands from her with her own nails. Nothing seemed to work.
Until she remembered the scissors.
Grabbing them from the pocket she had stashed them in, she drew her arm back. Bringing it forward with as much force she could muster. Stabbing them into the hole of his chest. Where his heart had been.
He shrieked. Wailed. Moaned. Screamed. Agony. Clenching the scissors in his chest, he finally released her. Reeling back and doubling over in what appeared to be excrutiating pain. She had stabbed him in the heart. Like before.
In one instant he was gone. Dust. As was the water she had been drowning in. Gone. All gone. Rolling onto her side she coughed up what had gotten down her throat. Leaving a small puddle on the now solid again floor. She felt like she had been laying there an eternity as the memories whirled around in her mind. Her body shook violently.
Then a light. A glorious light that for a second she believed was merely imagined. Until she began to crawl towards it. The light was coming through a door. She hauled herself up off the floor, leaning against the door's frame for a moment. Glancing back into the darkness, she swore she saw him. The scissors still embedded in his chest as he stared balefully at her with sunken grey eyes.
She would come back for him. When she was a Goddess she would return and take him from this dark place. Make his grey eyes brown and joyful again. This she promised herself as she stepped through the door and left the darkness behind.

Day 2 Task Whenever she was summoned by the Goddess, Ganximei always felt small. But she stood attentive, waiting for the Goddess to speak. And speak she did. Face my fear? Eat or be eaten? Was she going to be literally eaten? Her heart pounded in her chest as the Goddess stepped down, circling her. Inspecting her like a prized pig for inspection. And soon she was handed a jeweled dagger. She examined it. It was pretty in it's simplicity. What was she to do with it though... Fend for herself. She could do that well enough, but what would she be fending herself against this time? One could only guess. Something horrifying she surmised. And soon she was dismissed. Ganximei headed towards the thin opening she was pointed towards, the gaze of the Goddess burned hot on her back. --- Ganximei jerked awake. When had she fallen asleep? She didn't remember falling asleep at all. The bright light of the room stung her eyes painfully. As if she had been locked in a dark room for days, she could barely make out anything. Quickly she lifted her arm to shield her eyes from it's intensity. She lay there for a moment until the realization that she was laying on something cold made her shoot up into a sitting position. A cold, metal table was beneath her. As she blinked rapidly, she could make out a room. But there was nothing in this room. No chairs, no decorations. Just four plain walls. And a door. Placing her feet on the floor she stumbled towards it. Falling to her knees before scrambling back up again. Turning the knob quickly and opening it. Unlocked. Finding herself in a hallway, the light was just as bright here. And it was just as empty. The sound of something slamming shut made her gasp and she quickly turned around, expecting the door to have shut but it was still open. She peeked her head back into the room, nothing. It was time to move, this room didn't feel right. Slow, steady steps. She clung to the wall, feeling her way down the hallway. It seemed to go on forever. Ganximei squinted hard. But there was an exit! She could see it. Her pace quickened just a bit. Thud! She stopped, her heart catching in her throat as she turned to look back at the door. Still open. She continued. Thud! Again she turned to look. Eyes widened as the sound of foot steps beat against the floor. A sharp scraping noise came next and it made her freeze up for a moment. The sight of scissors in a blackened hand attached to those footsteps sent her flat against the wall, eyes wide as her voice caught in her throat. Like a bat out of hell she ran. Fleeing for the door, grabbing the handle. It was locked! She pressed her back against the door, watching the figure draw closer and closer. Again she turned, jiggled the handle until she spotted the letters on the bar. Passcode Required.s**t.

Closer and closer, her heart pounding. "Don't gooooo..." Don't go? Oh she really really wanted to go. Like now. Ganximei was shaking when all of a sudden she spotted a piece of paper to her left. She grabbed it, reading what was on it with wide, horrified eyes.
"A...C...E...G?! What does it meaaaannn?" She groaned, turning back to see that the figure had gotten closer. s**t s**t s**t. Again she tried to jiggle the door open. As if doing so would actually work.

Somehow she had missed the second piece of paper behind the first in her panic. But now she saw it. Ganximei grabbed it and read it as quickly as she could. "Ah hahahahaa! Yes!" Putting two and two together was easy, now that she had all the pieces of the puzzle.
Turning around to look one last time, she shuddered at the scraping sound of the rusty scissors. Quickly she punched in the code, the door slid open. Success! "See you later creep-o!" She bust through the door, sighing and falling back against it as it shut.

Now she was outside, great! It was better than that stuffy and bright room and hallway. Taking a few tentative steps, she smiled lightly at the trees. They seemed to be watching her. Or were they staring at something....else?
She turned to look behind her, if she could go pale she would have as her heart sank in her chest. The creep was still coming! Did he know the code for the door too? Crap!
Taking off like a shot, she ran through the trees. As fast as she could. Still a bit disorientated and scared. The sound of snipping scissors in the fog. "I will take your heart since you took miinnnneeee...." The taunting, she had to do it! Her Goddess tasked her with it!
Bursting through the thin under brush she found herself at a bridge. There was no time to be afraid of a rickety old bridge.

As she moved onto the bridge it shook and creaked. She did not like this bridge at all. Not one bit. Grabbing onto the rope, she held on tight. Closing her eyes tight before opening them.
And making the mistake of looking down. She froze.
Then the bridge creaked and groaned. The loud sound of snipping in her ear as she slowly turned her head. Eyes wide in fear. It was him. Tears formed in the corner of her eyes as she tried to move away but he only closed the space between them.
"Please no...." She squeaked out through a tightened throat.

His disfigured body and blank, grey face filled all of her vision. She could not look away. Those eyes. His eyes. Stop looking at her like that!
Ganximei screamed as a twisted hand shot out, grasping her throat as the sound of the rusted scissors rang through the air. She clawed at his hand, trying to remove it. Kicked her feet, trying to get him to let go. But nothing worked.
This was it. It was the end for her and there was nothing she could do. No body could help her. She was helpless against him. Weak. How could someone so weak be a Goddess? She still had so much to do. To find what she was looking for!
A thudding noise mixed in with the metallic noise of the scissors. It was a familiar noise, only rapid and panicked. The sound of her own heart beating out of fear, her body paralyzed. She couldn't even scream anymore.
"Don't worry. It only hurts once and then it'll be allllll over." His voice was strange. While there was no emotion on his face his voice had a sick sound of satisfaction to it. And then the pain, unimaginable pain in her chest. She couldn't remember a pain like this ever. Snip, snip.
Then she fell. Her lip body falling against the frail wooden planks of the bridge. Arms falling out to hang over the edges. The pain was gone now, her head turned just slightly as she stared blankly out at the horizon. The image of the figure walking away in the corner of her eye. She could not watch as he took her heart.
Ganximei let out a slow sigh before darkness took over.

Day 3 Task ....Ganximei had chosen the brown and red tea cup to drink from. She wasn't sure why she chose this cup. They weren't even her favorite colors. But they reminded her of something. Someone? The world around her became hazy. She closed her eyes momentarily and when she opened them again.. ----- She was standing on a roof top, the scenic view of tree tops and rooftops sprawled out in front of her. A sense of home washed over her being, familiar and safe. The sound of voices down below chanting and cheering familiar names that she just could not place. Was it her name? Looking to her right a boy, a bit older than her. Tall, skinny, with a shock of white hair.and big brown eyes. If she had actual blood that flowed through her veins her cheeks would be blushing. "First one across the compound and back here wins, ok?" Her shot her a thumbs up before crouching down, she returned with a nod and crouched herself. Another voice behind them shouted. "GO!" Both of them took off like a shot, running across thick tiled roofs. The first jump coming closer and closer until they both lept across to the next roof. She stumbled but only briefly, quickly catching up. Soon they had reached the last roof and touched an upper story outer wall of the building before they were sprinting back across the roofs once more. It seemed as though they were both neck and neck until she felt an unsteady slip of a tile beneath her foot. With that one loose tile the whole half of the roof began to slide over the edge taking them both a long with it. Each scrambling to get to safety before they were taken over the edge but it was too late and the tiles moved too quickly. Over the edge they went, mid air he grabbed her arm and pulled her close. Wrapping his arms around her and holding on tight. When they hit the ground his body took the brunt of the fall, but it was not the end of it. Heavy, ceramic tiles rained down on them and he quickly rolled over to shield her with his body. The shock of pain as the tiles piled on top of them one after the other on his face caused her to cry out. Eventually they were buried but others, older and much stronger men began to lift and toss the tiles off of them. One particular man, tall and stern came hustling out of a nearby building. A look of displeasure and worry on his face as long white hair whipped around him. They two pushed themselves up, the boy helping the girl up and making sure she was ok. His body ached but that was about the most of it as long as she was ok. She didn't look at the stern man who crossed his arms over a broad chest. "What recklessness is this? You both could have been killed!" They boy bow low to the ground. "Forgive us, we were just having fun. We didn't mean to cause such trouble." The stern look from the man softened a bit as he sighed lightly. Rubbing at the bridge of his nose with two fingers. He turned to the girl who still would not look at him. "No more roofs. Your mother will have a conniption when she hears about this. Not only did you put your life in danger but Shing's as well." Turning from them, he mumbled something about children and how they thought they were invincible. She and Shing looked at each other, slow smiles spreading across their lips as they just chuckled. ---- Then it was gone. She felt...kind of bad for what happened. If anything serious had happened to the boy a wave of remorse and regret would have lingered. Ganximei settled the tea cup back onto the table.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Golden Brown Description: Reckless, trouble, friendship Your commentary on its flavour: Whoever this memory belonged to was certainly quite brave, Breuse thought. But bravery meant that she had thrown all care to the wind, and could have very well hurt herself. But, at least she had someone by her side, accompanying her. And that they were alright in the end.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Earth brown Description: This flavour has a kick to it, a reckless mixture that risks it all by adding a dash of danger and excitement together. Your commentary on its flavour:The race had the shadow's full attention, excitement building as she watched the competitors leap from roof to roof. It was reckless of course, but Ruse could relate to this emotion. It was fun to throw caution to the wind, to act boldly and without care. Though it dind't always work, like in this girls case, at least the man didn't seem...too angry? She hoped not.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Brown, like dirt (but not mud). Description: The tea tastes of reckless abandon, the thrill of doing something dangerous, the youthful smugness of surviving an accident, and the bond of friendship. Your commentary on its flavour: The memory was a thrilling one; Remye could almost imagine herself in the place of the girl in the memory, running across the roof. She even found herself opening her mouth to shout when the tiles slid down, cringing as the boy defended the girl. She could almost feel the weight of tiles settle, and watched with bated breath until it was revealed they were both okay. She laughed without realizing it, relief flooding through her through the memory. The tea ended on a highnote, as the two looked at one another and laughed it off. She liked this tea.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Earthly Brown Description: A kick that seemed to send a shiver down one's spine, but warm and tangy. The sensation was that of a free fall but settled with the warmth winding down the body. Your commentary on its flavour: Competition. That was all Aeruban could comprehend of the memory. The two racing had his own heart going, awaiting for a winner, but when the tiles slipped, it all but raced faster. While they fall, he all but felt that fall sensation again, but their recovery and smile made it all the worthwhile. They enjoyed themselves... as reckless as the situation was.
