After making his way back to the goddess and having already given her the fragments Kin's tail was wagging happily to see her, though she seemed busy. Listening intently to her words he took the bag with the key just as she had asked him. Kin needed no urging to open the bag and peeked inside, empty, his ears twitched slightly wondering if he had displeased his goddess before hearing her dismay and request.
Eagerly Kin took the scissors from her with gentle hands before giving a small bow "your word is my command my goddess" he said with a gentle smile, though a bit unsure of what her last words meant he would do any task she bestowed upon him.
Kin turned to leave feeling warmed by her final smile as he began hearing the small sounds, taking a deep breathe he began his journey to her latest task. As he stepped inside he took a look at the 3 doors, they were increasingly terrifying but Kin was determined to prove himself in the eyes of his goddess and with a shaking hand chose the third door with the tree, he would impress her!

The thuds were constant in Nik's sensitive ears and he could hear something being repeated, unsure of what the familiar sound is he continues through the morphing hallway even as the door slams shut behind him. Unable to see what lays before him his knees slam into a large crate.
As Kin tries to find his way around the crate it opens and in the bleak lighting he see's a shape poking out of the crate, red and gory. Even with the unnerving shape swaying back and fourth Kin can't help but reach out and grab the arm.
Feeling around inside the crate the thudding noises begin to grow louder and he began to realize what the sound was, a heart. Ears pricking up slightly something within him knew this was what his goddess wanted, unable to hear or see anything else he struggles with his hand to push into the crate and retrieve the heart but the obstacle just wont give. Suddenly he becomes aware of the scissors in his hand and jams them into the crate along with his free hand. The force created a gushing noise as Kin felt a warm liquid covering his hands, he then reaches back in digging his hands in farther, feeling all manner of things blocking his path he simply labors with the scissors cutting everything out of his way. As sweat beads his skin a hand lashes out and grabs his wrist, claws digging into the skin
NIKKI
The scream made Kin stagger back a step and stare with wide eyes. Panting from the fear he moves forward and continues the task his goddess has bestowed upon him.
As he finally pulls the heart free the very thing he had been working against dropped to the bottom of the crate and he is holding the heart in his hands... Within the confines of his mind a memory flashes, a girl, one of few is playing, holding her hand out to him, unafraid of his differences, smiling, the heart stops beating in his hands. Praying he has done the right thing Kin slowly placed the heart within the bag and continues onward.

Trying to find his way back to his goddess Kin reached a dead end. The floor had become increasingly soft and wet has his steps progressed and now he heard a sloshing behind him. Quickly he turned around in an attempt to see what created the noise but there was nothing and the noise stops.
Seizing up the dead end for a moment Kin began back the way he came as the water began to grow deeper. After a few steps the sloshing noise is back and louder this time. "please give it back" the voice makes Kin jump and he quickly turned to investigate but again there was nothing behind him so he continued his travels as the water grows deeper, soon up to his neck.
"please give me back my..."
Suddenly something grabbed Kin and pushed him under the deep water, the bottom is no longer under his feet, he is sinking, unable to move. Pain begins to blossom within his body and he began to feel as though the life were being crushed right out of him. His own heart slowing Kin began to close his eyes before he saw the eyes, the mouth, baring teeth at him... her eyes... her hair fell into her eyes as she waved goodbye sadly to him, leaving him behind forever, breaking his heart though forced to do so by her parental figures. He rushed forward to wrap his arms around her "I love you" he whispered in a young voice "be kind to my heart, you are taking it with you"
"GIVE ME BACK MY HEART" the voice screamed.

Seeing those eyes and those teeth bared against him spurred Kin to action, he began thrashing against the hold of the pale grey flesh. Crying out silently under the water. Feeling the bag against his side his eyes narrowed, this had been asked of him by his goddess and he would win her favor. Remembering the scissors in his hand he raised up and plunged them deep into the figure attempting to end his life. The figures mouth opens and Kin could hear the shriek even through the water before the creature vanished.
Instantly there is no more water and Kin laid on the floor, spluttering for air and coughing up the dark liquid. His blurry eyes catch a glimpse of light and he looked up seeing the exit. Smiling in joy that he could finally bring the goddess what she asked for he quickly got up, chancing a look behind him.
His ears flattened as for a split second he swore he could see the figure still there, holding his scissors, could it really have been her? If so then why would his goddess ask him to do something like that to her, and how was it possible that she was even here... Silent tears running down his face he turned to exit the area knowing a choice had to be made.

The last thing he remembered was fighting, smiling at another of the figures he had been fighting with, and now he was cold. Something solid was what seemed to be a bed for him, and it hurt, opening his eyes he yelped, it was bright, this color was unlike any he had seen before. The buzzing of the lights hurt his ears as well. Trying to squint to the brightness and cover his ears Kin leapt off of the table, heading toward the only door in the room.
As he stepped into the hallway he looked around, seeing something in the distance, and began walking. Kin hated it here the moment he woke up, it was bright and loud and empty, he had begun taking comfort in the mere existence of the other glowing hearts around him, even if they made him nervous at the same time.
After a few steps he heard a thud and glanced around it had to have been loud for him to hear it over covering his ears.
thud!
Kin turned around once more, and saw a dark figure, carrying rusted scissors and making a strange scraping noise, his eyes grow wide and he stares opened mouth for a moment until it gets close enough to almost touch him... and Kin runs.
Feet pounding as his heart beats in his ears Kin ignores any physical pain from the panicked fleeing and just runs, away from that thing. Until he reaches a door...

Looking around frantically for a way out Kin noticed a piece of paper to his left and saw strange letters in it printed in red. What made the letters red he didn't want to know. Hearing the scraping growing closer behind him he threw himself against the door in a panic.

Scrabbling again in a panic Kin noticed a second paper that help not only numbers but letters and their correspondence. Eyes widening he snatched both papers off the walls, glancing back at the black figure momentarily before reading the papers together "I can do this" he told himself as his hands trembled, entering the numbers 0, 2, 4, 5 the door slid open and without a second look behind him Kin launched himself from the hallway, energy fueled by terror, something about the thing behind him filled him with the purest terror he had ever felt, or at least that he could remember...
Outside of the door he finally opened there were trees, and fog, still running he hoped the creature behind him would be unable to see him. Glancing behind to check he see's the eyes following closely, never gaining but never losing ground, he suppresses the scream that bubbles in his throat as he runs. Occasionally he hears the snip of scissors, some babble about the taking of hearts but he is too terrified to listen as he runs up to a bridge and skids to a half, glancing around like a trapped feral animal. He knows he has to cross...

Kins first step onto the bridge lead to disaster as his foot fell through the first board he stepped on, at first he began trying to snag it free but suddenly the memory of the red goddess floods his mind, not his goddess but still a goddess, someones goddess. Praying silently he takes out the knife and hacks at his foot, screaming in agony. Once the final cut is made he watched as his foot fell into the abyss below. Sweating from the pain he began to hobble forward, he can hear the scissors snipping, the figure breathing on his back, suddenly his foot is regenerated, more than he could dare hope for.

Letting out a terrified scream at the feel of breathe on his neck Kin put on a burst of speed, stumbling only slightly when plans break beneath his feet but making it across none the less. Only once he reached the other side did he look back and see the damage his frightened run had done to the bridge, and the screaming figure stuck on the other side. He allowed himself a small smile of triumph.

On the otherside of the bridge is a seemingly haunted house, glancing back once more he see's the figure chasing still. Heart beating in his throat he glances down, the dagger has begun glowing red, just like the goddess, the goddesses words "now or never" she had said.
Turning around with the glowing dagger Kin plunged it toward the figure "kill or be killed" he snarled as he lunged. At the same time the being lunged forward and a memory crushed into Kin as he plunged the killing blow into the creature, a memory.
'"they are just jerks, I like you Nik" she said in her sweet little girl voice, the only kind soul to him, before she was forced away from him. Holding hands, children without a care in the world.
Tears are rushing down Kins face as he pulls the dagger out and turns to run into the haunted house whos door is now open.

The moment Kin drank the tea from the blue cup a memory flashed in his mind, little did he know it was the same memory that had plaguing him the entire time in the goddesses world, the entire reason he had been who he was, without it he had not been himself this entire time. Blindly plinking along for the goddesses, doing their tasks to earn their blessings. At least now he knew why he wanted so badly to be strong, so content to have something else to live for. She was beautiful, he had always thought so, always accepting, the first who hadn't been frightened off by his... condition. Now that he was older he told no one of his gender problem if he could help it... As children everyone had been cruel about it... But not her, never her. The images wracked his head like bright flashes of light, her holding out her hand to him, her smiling, her laughing, her hugging him, them holding hands, them playing, her bandaging a bleeding knee of his, so many memories drowned his senses making him fall to his knees as they sped through his mind, every moment with her, and then blackness, like a brick wall. He could hear her voice through the darkness, calling his name. "Niiiiiik, oh Niiiiiik!" was that his name? He wasn't sure, he had been going by Kin all this time... "i'm sorry" she coo'd as she held him in an embrace, stroking his long hair "I have to go" she said softly in his ears. What he didn't know is she had held in her tears so she could be strong for him, fought her parents tooth and nail about leaving but they had been the ones to win. She showed none of this to him, so she could be strong for him. Every muscle in Kins body was tense now, tears streaming down his face, tremors wracking his body, she never cared, never loved me, didn't even try to stay with me, she promised she wouldn't leave... she promised... she promised...she promised...she lied.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Rusty Red Description: The bitterness of this blend is strong, as well as the sour taste of betrayal Your commentary on its flavour:The memory had started off okay. The usual friendship between a boy and a girl. It was comforting to see him having someone who accepted him for what he was. This all changed at the end. Ruse felt utterly saddened by the fact they were split, angered at how her parents had to separate him. It wasn't fair, and she could see how Nik could resent the girl.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Deep Red Description: Bitter, Angered, Betrayed. Your commentary on its flavour: Zanna does not like the taste of this one. The memory seemed happy enough at first. There was a warm friendship there, one that brought a smile to her face. That kind of friendship was a good one to have. It went sour, though, when the girl, despite all of her promises, had to go away with her parents. She felt the anger and malice coming from the owner of the memory towards the girl, and couldn't help a gulp. She could understand the malice, but she also felt bad for the recipient of the malice. Hopefully they both turned out okay...

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Dark Red Description: Bitter, Lost, betrayed Your commentary on its flavour: Ixb appreciated the sweet sentiments at the beginning but the confusion and bitterness hit him hard by the end. The memory was full of pain and disturbing. Perhaps the strength of the feelings would appease the Goddesses.
