Solo - Her thoughts...
Many things had happened, the war...had come to a ...brutal end, the body count was enough to make a person sick to their stomach. The people from Oba seemed to have an overwhelming power, and yet rather than be defeated and enslaved her people made a tactful retreat. Strangest thing of all...was that Sin'qua had made....a new friend. Or at least the closest she could call a friend. Makani. Laying in the forest she was listening to the sounds around her. The fact her mind landed on Makani was something that...bothered her a bit.
He was Eira's half brother, and blind to boot. It was his use of magic, his dry wit and humor that made her regard him differently than most men. Perhaps it was due to the fact he couldn't see, and thus he couldn't be swayed by a pretty smile or large hips and breasts. Having modest assets herself, and then being constantly around or near Makani's rather..curvacious sister he saw his sister for who she truly was. A bossy, manipulative...greedy woman.
But it was due to Eira's bossy nature that she had been assigned to Makani during the war, to help him with healing the injured. She had been his eyes, and hands guiding him as tactfully as she was able to. Truth be told she wasn't sure what to make of this development. Did she like Makani? Or was she just drawn to him because he used magic?
Chewing on her lower lip she convinced herself that the attraction was limited to the fact he used magic. There was just something about magic the drew her to it. Though using it for healing...that just wasn't her style. Though she was a lazy person by nature, magic just peeked her curiosity. What could you do with it? What was the extent you could use magic? Watching Makani work made her wonder what she could use magic for. Would she hold more sway if she had power? It was a mildly interesting thought to ponder. With magic would she be able to put Eira in her place?
Though the thought caused a smirk to spread across her face she knew that threatening people with violence wasn't her style. Blackmailing was. The nice subtle threats. She did it to her brother all the time growing up, but thus far she hadn't been able to find anything on Eira beyond what...she already knew. That she used her assets to get her way. Couldn't really use that for anything.
Sitting up, the forest was a new experience for her. Since coming from the mountains the whole trip had been one new experience after another, and then the war happened. They were dragged into it, it effected her brother more than it did herself. Though he didn't say much about it she could just tell, that uneasy smile the fact his eyes would avoid looking at the wounded. It was just perhaps a bit too raw for him, a bit too much of the real world for for her little brother. Though she would shrug off his attitude some part of her worried. After all her primary reason for coming was to make sure Eira didn't put any moves on him.
She hadn't expected the body guard to be making goo goo eyes at him instead. Luckily her brother was too naive or...just too stupid to notice, but she would be keeping an eye on this Gyuri...and Eira. Bet she wasn't counting on competition from a man rather than another woman.
Smirking she got up slowly, stretched and enjoyed the fact her skin wasn't chilled by the morning air. Moving away from camp she vaguely gathered sticks and poked at vegetation in disinterest. It would be so much easier to start a fire with magic. There were so many advantages to wielding magic she wasn't exactly sure why anyone would bother training to use weapons. A person could be fried to a crisp before coming within ten feet of the caster. And there was something about that kind of power that she craved.
People didn't respect her, or if they did it was because of her brutal honesty and stone cold expression. Well perhaps they respected her, she hoped for her wit and intelligence. Sin'qua liked to believe that she was clever, and intelligent and those skills would see her through life to the bitter end. Though knowing magic...wouldn't hurt. It seemed less physical than anything else to learn, and if you had the knack for it, didn't look too difficult to learn.
Dumping the sticks beside the fire pit she didn't bother to light it, the jungle was humid so it wasn't like they needed the fire for warmth, just to heat water and cook food. Her stomach grumbling she pondered if you could conjure food up with magic, or...other things. The idea was a curious one.
These were questions she wished she could ask someone about, but it felt weird to show interest to Makani, she would much rather just already know before telling him she could do magic as well ...since 'seeing' was a bit hard for a blind man. So who could she ask? Would she ask...was the better question. Not enjoying the idea of looking stupid in front of people the only person she felt comfortable asking her multitude of questions would be her mother.
Moving to sit down she sighed, missing their home immensely for a moment. Should she go back home? Maybe there would be someone in their village she could ask. But that would be such an immense trip back...and she had no idea how safe it would be going home with the forces of Oba still hanging about. IF she wielded magic perhaps she could show their enemies who they were dealing with. The idea of becoming a slave didn't suit well with her and she wished she had something to use that was as sharp as her tongue. A smile cracked upon her lips, lightning...didn't sound like a terrible magic to learn...

Solo - many thoughts
A sigh escaped her lips as she sunk into the bath taking the luxury to it's fullest. Being a Mage hot water wasn't hard to come by, in fact if the themperature ever threatened to drop below steamy warm she would use her magic to heat the water again. A sigh escaped her lips, she splashed a bit of the water playfully as the petals floated around her. She normally didn't like this sort of thing, the girly smell the soaking but today for whatever reason this was what she had desired.
The bath basin wasn't very big, she couldn't lay comfortably and her knees or her feet were always sticking out of the water, but perhaps this was a good think. It gave her a chance to cool off a bit when the heat was making her light headed.
Mother and father was coming to visit soon, and she wasn't surprised to find her brother making a big fuss about them coming, but it was long overdue for a confrontation. Borra couldn't avoid their family for the rest of his life, he needed to come clean about being a minstrel..not the warrior he claimed to be training to be. In fact their parents would take one look at Borra and know that he had either been lying to the. Or wasting Gyuri's time by not taking his training seriously.
Though Sinny was a strong woman she hated to admit she missed home from time to time, being lazy and having mother and father tend to her desires. Though she knew well enough that going back home wouldn't result in things going back to the way they were, older now she would have to work be responsible... And she found the easy work of being at the inn enough for her.
Her thoughts drifted, to her writing and since she had started actually doing things with her crush her writing had more spice to them. Although she had started to publish the stories to just a few copies she had been surprised to find interest in the older women, perhaps ones whose love life had no spark to them anymore. She made a few coin selling them but found that renting them was more fruitful. It wasn't like she had hundreds of copies of her works. Mostly one of each romance and if she found it really popular she endeavoured to make a copy.
Still it made her hand hurt to rewrite her stories, so instead of letting people purchase they were lent the books with a small fee. Once returned part of the fee was returned to the borrower and thus ensured people brought the books back.
