 Introducing Grrel! Grrel was irritated. Alright, she was smaller than dragons, but did that really give them a reason to be so rude?! She wasn't all that different than them; sure, she was tiny and orange instead of the golden scales of her larger cousins, and she didn't have those oh so beautiful glorious blue wings and her horns were different... alright, maybe she more than a little different from them, but still! There was such a thing as politeness! They didn't have to be such snobs about it! Grrel sniffed as she flounced across the sandy dunes of Eowyn. Well, if they didn't want her around, then she didn't want to be near them! Such arrogant snobs! She might be a Drakein instead of a Dragon, but that didn't make them any better than her! She paused and looked down at herself. I am beautiful in my own way.. yup! I must say I am quite the charmer! She smiled as she posed for the dunes to see. I may not be a dragon, but I’m still just as good and prettier than them! She smiled, her bad mood gone. What did she need to be around dragons for? They were rude and mean, so she was better off without them! Besides, those odd small two-leggers like to kill them; it’ll be safer away from such big and loud targets. Alone it would be easier to escape hunters and alone it would be easier to avoid notice, though how they could not notice a beauty like her! Hmm, but what should I do? She looked around her. Sandy dunes stretched far into the distance and the only difference in the scenery was the tall volcano to the east and the wide ocean covering the western horizon. Such a boring place; nothing to see or do here. I know! I'll head to another continent! See what's out there; find out more about those two-leggers. They do seem interesting, and it can’t be worse than being surrounded by stupid rude dragons! Maybe they'll realize I'm not a dragon and not try to kill or driving me away like the dragons, maybe they'll let me be...Grrel stared off into the horizon. Could she actually fly all the way to another continent? And where were the other lands? She knew they existed, since she couldn't find any settlement of Orderites, Dovaas, or Oblivionites in the desert. Though there was that area off to the south were a bunch of Orderites were... Just then Grrel saw a small ship in the distance. Curious, she flew towards it, making sure she was high enough that they would mistake her for a far off dragon and not attack. Was this how the two-leggers came to this place? And what was that thing they were riding in? She'd never seen the like before, since a ferry was useless for those who could fly. How strange! .. And lazy, can't they swim? But maybe they aren't strong enough to swim all the way. Hmm, yes that must be it! The two-leggers are too weak to swim so they must use that.. thing. Of course I would never use it! Since I can fly... I wonder why they don't have wings? Its so much better and convenient to fly.

 Battle VS Ysali Dragon : in First Sighting
Grrel was sitting in a small cave on Serenia and thinking as she licks her wounds from today's encounter.
Well, that was terrible. How uncivilized! To attack me just because I "don't belong!" Stupid green blob of a beast!
My lightning wasn't really as effective against that green dragon as it should have been... I wonder why?

Grrel is sitting in a small cave on Serenia and watching the snow fall as she absorbs the delights of cooking and new knowledge.
I have met my First Orderite!!! And I have learned so much, Kadryn really was a well spring of knowledge. I am glad she didn't think my questions silly. And her food! If only I could cook! ...Such a delight, I must see what other types of food there are.....

Grrel is sitting in a small cave on Serenia and watching the snow fall as she thinks of dragon hunting with Kadryn.
Well, that was rather embarresing, if Kadyn hadn't been there I might have died! It was rather fascinating to see her hunt, she fights rather primitively for someone who is supposed to be superior to Dragons. It was also unerving to see her fight; after all, what she can do to a dragon, she can do to a Drakein....
But I will get stronger, this is only the beginning.

Battle VS Ysali Dragon: in Hunting AloneGrrel is sitting in a small cave on Serenia and watching the snow fall as she seethes over the Ysali's insults. Runt! Ugly! And a toy?! How dare that stupid Dragon call me such things! .. Why does everyone call me a runt? Do these Dragons know any other insult? Hmph! ... I might have to take Kadryn up on her offer of help. I do so need to be able to defeat a Dragon. If she can do it, then so should I! Aftermath: + 3.6 exp, +1 LUK EXP

Battle VS Ysali Dragon: in Learning
Grrel is sitting in a small cave on Serenia and watching the snow fall as she muses over today's battle..
Well, at least this time I was the one sneak attacking. I need to find a better way to fight these Dragons, My lightning just isn't as effective against them. Guess mother was right, Ysali's powers are related to earth and lightning is weak against earth types.

Simple Dream Grrel was back home on Eowyn, she had decided to leave Serenia for a bit and go visit her family clan and see what she needed to learn to utilize the magic within her. It was then that she was a tall strange figure, t stood upon the dune next to her. Just stood there,not moving nothing. Curious Grrel approached quietly. What was this strange man doing? As she came in close the figure turned to meet her. Completely cloaked in a long purple hooded robe, its design was difficult to tell because the setting sun was burning red behind him. His eyes glowed a fiery red, mimicking the sun behind. He held out a wrapped hand. "This Dream belongs to you. I have come to deliver it since you will not answer its call." Grrel looked at the odd globe held out towards her. She saw what looked liked clouds captured inside its clear glass walls. Intrigued she approached the tall figure. As she came close, she saw the clouds start to swirl and burn. They swam through several shades of color before calming down into a warm brown and amber cloud. It reminded her of her favorite treat, the warm and chewy loaves of fresh baked bread Kadryn would bring her. "Food? Hmm, that is an interesting Dream.. Many Dream of more important things.. but you.. you and her, Dream of simpler things. This day has been interesting, very interesting. I would wish you luck in achieving your Dream, but you have already found it... So I will wish you luck in the coming troubles..." And the odd man and his interesting thrilling voice slowly faded as the sun sank below the horizon. Grrel looked at the Bottled Dream at her feet. What an odd encounter.. and what had he meant? How dare that Dovaa steal an egg and enslave my people's children! I would have finished him off, but for those Orderites who came to his help.. SO far I have seen to sieds to these two-leggers, Kadryn is the good side, and this Dovaa the bad. Next time I will kill him... I wonder if there is a way to save that Keining fro the Bond? I have heard that killing it's bonded will kill them.. is that true?

I've done it! I finally killed a Ysali alone! My lightning certainly is strong! But I should practice more, this battle was an ambush and I won't always have the element of surprise....

Drakein in a Magescian Village
[PRP with Kadryn, it is also in Kadyn's journal.]
Grrel was on her way to Kadryn's village. She'd heard so much from Kadryn about the place and was too curious to hold it in anymore. It wasn't difficult to follow the trail Kadryn usually used to come visit her and soon Grrel came into sight of the tiny village on the lake's shore. It looked strange, but then so did much of what the two-leggers made and did. She paused for a moment to smell the breeze and caught a whiff of her favorite snack.
"That must be Kadryn's home! ..Or that "Wind Cafe" thingy she mentioned that her mother cooked at. " Grrel muttered excitedly. "I'll go check it out! She must have mentioned me to her family by now...."
And so Kadryn's village got a surprise visit by a Drakein. Many of the villagers stopped and stared at the orange Drakein as she sauntered into their town, looking around as if this happened all the time. They whispered amongst them selves about her, stunned into inaction by Grrel's brazen action. Was this one of those Drakeins that Aeveh had sent out the proclamation about? Why was it here? Was it dangerous?
Grrel enjoyed their reactions, luxuriated in the attention and stares being heaped upon her. I should have done this earlier, she thought to herself.
Following her nose, she swaggered up to Wind Cafe, and was meet by Kadryn as Kadryn was leaving.
"Woah! Grrel? What are you doing here?" Kadyn was shocked at seeing her Drakein friend in her town. She'd known that Grrel was curious about her home, but not so curious to actually walk right in like she owned the place!
"Well, didn't know you were so hungry for treats that you'd come all the way here!" Kadryn looked at the shocked expressions of her towns people and smirked at them before calling out, "Don't worry! This is Grrel; yes, she is a Drakein, and no she won't attack you unless you provoke her!"
She shook her head and looked back at Grrel, who was sitting innocently in the middle of the street with a smug look upon her scaly face.
"Well, you just became the number one gossip topic! Everyone here is gonna be talking about you tonight! Heck, I don't think they'll be able to do any work the rest of the day cause of you! Come on in. I was gonna bring you something but since you're her you might as well meet my family and have a real cooked meal!" Kadryn opened up both doors to the Cafe to let Grrel in.
"Hey Talia! Go get Uncle Tarlon and Ma, this here's Grrel, the Drakein I told you about. I think she just caused a bunch of chaos in town by blatantly walking through the whole town to get here!" Kadryn called out to her adopted aunt as Grrel ducked her head and held her wings tight against herself to keep from hitting the door frame.
Grrel looked about in interest. This was the first building she'd ever been inside and she was going to make the most of this experience! She'd never thought about what they'd have inside the place and all the furniture confused her, but maybe the two-leggers didn't like eating while sitting on the ground. She turned her purple eyes to face the three people emerging from a doorway. One looked pale blue like Kadryn, just thinner and a whole lot less dangerous while the larger reddish one definitely was dangerous. The tiny one; that must have been Kadryn's baby brother, how adorable.
"Pleased to make your acquaintance, Kadryn has told me a lot about you. Kadryn's family and the customers still looked stunned by the intrusion, and that Grrel could talk and talk in a civilized manner!
Kadryn looked about and smirked at the expressions on people's faces.
"The tall one with red hair is my uncle Tarlon, the smaller blue one is my Ma, the pink one is my aunt and the itty-bitty one is my baby brother Fallon. The rest are customers who should be eating and not staring..." Kadryn looked pointedly around at the seated people who all looked embarrassed and returned to their meals... while still watching the golden orange Drakein out of the corner of their eyes. A murmur of conversation took up, mostly which was about Grrel.
Tarlon grinned as he replied to Kadryn's introduction, "Well! Ah can say that tis a pleasure and surprise tah see yah here, Mizz Grrel. Kady tells me that ye really like mah sweet tarts." He turned to look quizzically at Kadryn, "Why do yah intra-duce us by color?"
"Cause that's the easiest way!" Kadryn scooped Fallon up as he toddled over to the new shiny beast that had come in.
"This here's Grrel, Fallon. What'd ya think?"
"Purtty!! Wanna touch!" He stretched out his hands towards Grrel and burbled happily.
"I do indeed love those Tarlon. But I was hoping for a full meal. I haven't hunted today and I wish to eat what Kadryn has only been able to describe to me." She bent her neck and let Fallon run his hands along her scaled snout in glee. Fallon just placed himself on her good side, compliments and gifts of food were always ways to tell if someone was decent! ... At least in Grrel's mind
"He certainly is adorable, but Keinlings are cuter! Now, about my meal Kadryn." She grinned at Kadryn and her family, exposing her sharp teeth that caused Laasya to worry briefly about her infant son's hands as they, of course,immediately went to poke the sharp objects. Grrel flicked her tongue out and licked Fallon's face. She then straightened up and looked about.
"Where shall I eat that would be comfortable for you to sit and talk while I do so?"
Laasya spoke up for the first time, " There is a table in the kitchen, this will let us talk to you and allow the you to eat with out being stared at." She was nervous, having never seen a Dragon or Drakein before, and Grrel certainly looked dangerous to her but if she was Kadryn's friend then she was probably a decent person....
"True, that and ye can see how we cook, which, Kady tells us, is som'thing' ye enjoy as well?"
"Oh yes! I do so enjoy watching her cook, though she tells me that it's nothing compared to what she can do in a proper kitchen! what exactly will you be making?" Grrel stood up and sauntered over to the double doors leading to the kitchen. She, Laasya, and Tarlon went into the kitchen chatting. Grrel was defiantly destroying the town's view of Dragons and Drakeins as stupid dangerous beasts!
Kadrn watched them go as she held her squirming little brother.
"Well, this is entertaining! You want me to watch the shop for a bit while you join in the conversation, Aunty?"
"What, and miss all the gossip that everyone out here will be saying? Never! Besides, you should take her around the village and show her about, then have her over to dinner and I'll be able to talk to her then!"
Kadryn laughed at her gossipy aunt.
"Big sis! Wanna go be with purty Drakon!"
"Oh all right Fallon! You'll have to tell me what they say later, 'kay Talia? Wonder what they'll make for her?" She nodded bye to Talia as she headed into the kitchen.
This was certainly going to be a very fun afternoon!
