Grrel wanted to try out some of her new magics. She knew they were affective against two-leggers, but what about Dragons? That and she needed to learn better aiming.... She shook her head in disgust as she remembered how much she had missed in her battle against the Dovaa egg thief. What better way to practice than against a moving target? She didn't want to practice against trees or rocks because those would leave tale-tale signs that she'd been there and then someone could track her back to her cave. No, She'd have to try against a Ysali Dragon. Shaking her wings out nervously, Grrel took the the skies. She'd had bad luck against them in the past, and while she was more confident after her win against the Dovaa, Dragons were in a whole different realm from two-leggers. Flying low through teh empty branches of the snowy forest, Grrel looked for traces of Dragons. She didn't want to get badly wounded, but she wasn't going to back off from a fight just because she was nervous! No, she was a Drakein and training to be a Shaman for her family clan! There was no way she would back off, shaman did not run from battle!
Finally spotting the signs that a Ysali had recently passed by, Grrel landed and began stalking the trail. Quick and quiet, she kept to the shadows and behind snow drifts and rocks. It wouldn't do for her to just stumble upon a Dragon. She needed surprise to ensure victory. She soon came upon her quarry. A large female, though not the cruel one she had encountered earlier. Halting a safe distance away, Grrel began to charge herself up as quietly as she could. Soon sparks flew across her scales and she began to force all her power into her lungs. This would be a long range shot, but it should hit, she thought. Suddenly releasing it, Grrel hissed with pleasure as she saw a thick beam of electricity arch towards the unsuspecting Dragon. It's cry of pain was brief as her bolt electrocuted it. Steaming from the heat, it collapsed. Grrel crowed in happiness, her first victory alone! This would be something to brag about!
