A mane is the main attraction! Username: jinxgirl5
Cub's Name: Kopa (Origin unknown, "heart"; meaning taken from this website.) Cub's Personality: It's like seeing Simba as a cub all over again! Kopa has a ton of energy, unquenchable curiousity, and an unfortunate talent for getting into all kinds of mischief. Take your eyes off him for just a second, even to blink, and he's gone. He loves sneaking away from his family (or sneaking away with his family) to learn more about the world. Zazu may be the official eyes of the king, but Kopa knows a bit himself. When he's not out learning for himself, he loves hearing stories from others.
Kopa is brave and proud. Like his father before him, he often goes out looking for trouble to prove how tough and strong he is. He just hates looking weak or scared, and feels like if he shows how capable he is it'll make him seem more mature. He hides any uncertainty behind a mask of bravado and surges forward with his plans, no matter how risky. And if he comes out looking the fool (which he occasionally will), at least Kopa is also wise enough to learn from experience. Will They Stay in the Pride?: Yes. That's his family, after all. What Will They Bring to the Pride: Uuuummm, possibly tolerance and knowledge? Kopa's a very bright, energetic, and explorative guy. He's willing to see past old rivalries to potential and friendship. He's always asking questions and out hunting for answers. He'll definitely bring a bit of chaos with his tendency to run off on his own without letting others know where he's going. Thoughts of Family: Simba and Nala :: Kopa adores Simba like any young son would love their father. He follows him around quite a bit, initiating wrestling matches and learning about running a kingdom from him. Of course he may never run a kingdom himself, but it's the passing along of knowledge that counts. Kopa also loves Nala and is calmer around her than he is around Simba, since he doesn't feel like he has to impress her. He often complains that her shows of affection are "embarassing," but he'd do anything to make her smile.
Siblings :: Sisters. Younger sisters. Lots of younger sisters... Maybe they're part of the reason Kopa likes to sneak off as much as he does. All those girls and just one boy, it's a recipe for getting ganged up on! Not that he doesn't love his sisters. He's secretly protective of all of them, and from time to time will let them particpate in his schemes. And from time to time they include him in theirs, so we can call it even.
Mufasa and Sarabi :: Grandparents. Ultimate source of wisdom accompanied by an ultimate built-in BS detector. On day's when it's impossible to get away from Pride Rock, Kopa likes to sit down and ask his grandparents for stories. They're a bit too good at anticipating his bouts of mischief though. Secretly Kopa wants to grow up to be like Mufasa.
Kiara and Kovu :: Kopa is sometimes a bit jealous that Kiara and Kovu are the next-in-line rulers of Pride Rock, but he concedes that they're both well-suited for it and that's all that matters. Kiara can certainly show Kopa a thing or two about how to sneak around an over-protective father, since she was just as much a hellraiser as he is. And Kovu's actually the closest thing to a brother Kopa's got.
Pumbaa, Timon, Rafiki, Zazu :: A reliable source of stories and entertainment! Timon and Pumbaa are great for adventuring with, and they have scraps of odd knowledge that's nonetheless useful. Rafiki and Zazu are better for stories. Maybe a bit of pouncing practice on the side for Zazu...
Scar :: Kopa isn't quite sure what to think about Great Uncle Scar. He knows he must have done something wrong since he's no longer in the pride and no one really mentions him. While Kopa isn't too thrilled with the thought of treachery, he also wonders why and how his uncle got like that.
Prompt Number: Two Prompt Entry: "Gonna be the best!"
Score! A whole day without parental supervision, to do whatever he wanted without anyone bossing him around and no sisters to annoy him. And he hadn't even planned it out that way.
Surprised? So was he!
Today was totally his!
.....Errr, what did he want to do today?
Kopa took a moment from savoring his victory to think about that. These were the flatlands where it was mostly a bunch of large grazers. Not much to explore. If he had someone with him it would seem more like an adventure, but none of his friends happened to live in the area.
Suddenly a mouse darted by, pausing to nibble on some grass before continuing. That brought to mind a conversation Kopa had with his mother about hunting. He'd scoffed and called it girl's work. Then he heard the story about how Mom could always pin Dad when they were cubs...
Hmmmm. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to learn hunting after all. Just a little. For the sake of being tough and strong, naturally. Wouldn't do to let his sisters beat him...
When Zazu found him later that evening, Kopa was covered in dirt and tired, but satisfied. He hadn't managed to catch a mouse, but he had mastered the art of cricket-catching. Sisters beware, Kopa was learning to hunt!
Future Plans?: I would love to get in family RP with Kopa is still a kit. I will haunt the thread every free moment I have and might even send out a PM or two just to make sure he gets some interaction.
Kopa's definitely gonna be the adventerous type, always out exploring and working out his energy. He doesn't really aspire to rule since Kiara is next in line and a good leader in her own right, but he likes helping out where he can and making friends.
Nothing specific comes to mind concerning mating plots. I know I don't wanna rush with him though, so it's going to be me getting comfortable with his personality and just seeing whatever comes along.

Lionesses do all the work around here. Username: bunnyilove
Cub's Name: Umi (African for energy. )
Cub's Personality: Umi is a kind small frame lioness willing to give her little life for her family. She is as sweet as honey and very caring, seen to some people as very motherly. She doesn’t speak too much because she is deathly afraid that her voice won’t be heard so she tends to be quite out of this fear. Unfortunately for this little sweetheart her personality as a bowl doesn’t stay the same when she grows into a cub. Being the darkest cub out of her siblings scares her. When she finally hears the stories of her uncle it frightens her even more. The thought that she shares almost the same hue as her uncle scare her to death. And because of this thought she goes mentally insane. Umi is skittish, paranoid, and shy to meet others. She worries most of the time that she will in fact become the girl version of her uncle. She is often seen twitching or jumping when people come too close because she paranoid that others in the pride think she is in fact like scar. She doesn’t like to talk to others because of this. And because of this fact she is very rash and has a temper like no other. She doesn’t think before acting and tends to get in a lot of fights with people who she “thinks” are talking about her. Umi shares her poor body with another person, her inner thoughts that tend to tell her, her faults and how she is indeed like her uncle in the stories. She tends to move around by herself as if she is acting out two different people. This other person is actually her real self but Umi is a coward and cannot come to fact with that. If you can overcome all of personality that was just describe and see her for what she is, she is a big tomboy. She doesn’t like to lose fights because she wants to prove to the pride that she isn’t like scar. She doesn’t like to deal with other girls because she thinks they bring her down and tends to stay closer to her older brother, in which she tries to study as much as she can from him for she can be loved. If she takes a liking to someone she will act first and talk to them because she likes to gain information as again she wants to become someone that isn’t like scar but most of the time this fails because she starts to twitch and her inner thought tend to consume her.
Will They Stay in the Pride?: I’m sorry to say but no. She will stay until adulthood but I think her downfall will be soon if not right after that. If I think and hope what is going to happen she will be fully consumed by her inner thoughts and begins to hate her family. She will in fact become the next scar and will think the throne should be hers because she fought the most and yet her family did not see this.
What Will They Bring to the Pride: Heartbreak, deeper plots as I will ask for a lot of rp of her downfall and then her becoming the villain just like scar and probably more headache as she will always or most of the time try to take “her” throne.
Thoughts of Family: As a bowl and during sometime of her cub stage, she loves them dearly. As I said she wants to prove herself that she isn’t like scar. She will do anything for them. He brother, though she loves to most. But for her sister, though she does love them she tends to not spend as much time as she should. As cub going into a adult she hates them all expect for scar because finally see now why the Prideland needs a ruler like them. Again I really want rp for her growth and her downfall and yadda yadda yadda.
Prompt Number: 2 Prompt Entry: “Umi…………Umi” she shook her head and let out a small growl. “Go away. I don’t need you now. Not now and not never. Go away” she squeaked out. The little brown cub moved around to scan her horizon. Where could they have gone? They couldn’t have left her. She had just left for a few seconds, jut a few second to grab a quick small drink. She began to worry, unsure what to do. She froze and then shook her whole body. She knew he was coming; he was coming to steal her away from her family. Scar. He was coming to get her because she didn’t follow her papa like a good child, like all her good little sibling did. A laugh managed to escape the young female mouth and grew more intensely with every paw that hit the soft ground. “I told you, dear little Umi. You’re just like him. Just like your dear old uncle. Look what you did this time. How horrible you are my little Umi.” It muttered in a soft female purr. The brown female eyes grew wide out of fear, and stood as still as ice. “Stop it. I didn’t mean too, really. I was just….I’m sorry. I mean..”she stop and the laugh mange to escape her mouth once more. “Didn’t I tell you little Umi, you dear Papa would leave you like this. Didn’t I tell you over and over? He doesn’t want you and neither does you mama and siblings. They all hate you for becoming your uncle.” This time it didn’t mutter the words but hissed it in a small feline purr. The little girl panic unable to keep it away, knowing that it was consuming her little body and she began to shed tears, curling in a small ball mutter to herself. “Stop it….please…I’m not like him…..stop. I’m brown because I’m clever……” she said muttering in self pity. The poor cub didn’t know where she was. She laid trembling in fear of it. It…only to be herself. Fear that she knew he was coming to snatch her away from her family, that she knew who loved her with no doubt in her heart. And just as she was about to let it consume her body a paw touch her small frail body. Jumping, she screamed, keeping her eyes closed tight in fear that it was him. “Go …away. Please….. g...o a...away” she manage to mumble out trembling. “Umi…It’s me. Don’t be scare. I’m here.” Spoke her father. Grabbing her with one paw and placing her close to him. The small brown female slowly open her eyes hearing the voice she knew was her father and let out small squeak. As they walked away the female looked to the spot where was and screamed inside her head, trembling close to her warm father’s body, because what she was herself grinning in pure madness…
Future Plans?:As I said I have a lot. I want a lot of rp because she needs to grow with rp as her insanity consumes her body. She will be the villain in this litter if you respect that. She will try her hardest to gain her “throne” and I feel that will bring a lot of plots not for only her but for the whole family and I hope that I can rp that out. C: And I’m going to us a quote from Sherlock to end my entry here.

Lionesses do all the work around here.
Username: anasazi_lemur_babe
Cub's Name: Asani – Swahili for rebellious Cub's Personality: Asani is a little on the small and delicate side, but she doesn’t let that get in the way of her competing or playing with her brother and sisters. She has to try harder sometimes to achieve the same goal as her siblings but she doesn’t let it bother her, she knows that one day she’ll be able to run circles around them and that lifts her spirits. This little lioness is adventurous and curious; usually wandering off on her own to find the answers to whatever mystery is playing in her head. Like her name suggests she can have a bit of a rebellious streak, where she refuses to listen to either her mother or father but after a while of doing her own thing and realizing that they are usually right she’ll settle down.
Will They Stay in the Pride?: Yes What Will They Bring to the Pride: She's not quite sure what she'll bring to the Pride. None the less she will try her hardest to make her parents proud of her. Thoughts of Family: Simba: Asani loves her dad, even if he can be restricting to her adventure seeking ways. Whenever she has a problem she can usually run to him for answers and sometimes, he can help her with the answers to whatever her curious nature has her thinking about at the time.
Nala: Asani loves her mother just as much as she loves her father, if not a little more. She doesn’t consider her mother as restricting as her dad, and feels that she can get away with a little more than with dad. Whenever she feels overwhelmed with the knowledge she’s gaining she goes to see her mom and just snuggles with her.
Kiara: Big sister Kiara, Asani looks up to her and wants to be just like her one day. She doesn’t usually interact with the older lioness, preferring to watch her in awe from a distance.
Kovu: She’s not really sure how to feel about Kovu, he matches her more in color than the rest of her family but his personality just seems odd to her. She doubts she’ll ever understand why her older sister spends so much time with him.
Mufasa: Here is another lion that this little girl respects with all her heart. She’s grown up hearing stories of his bravery and that makes him the biggest hero in her mind and heart.
Sarabi: She loves grandmother Sarabi because she knows all the best stories about Mufasa.
Scar: Asani likes to believe that Scar is just a scary story, she doesn’t like to admit that he’s not and that they are related and that he could be out there somewhere lying in wait.
Timon/Pumba: These two annoy her most days, but every now and again she finds their antics to be amusing. She’s more likely to bother Pumba than Timon though.
Rafiki/Zazu: And yet more creatures that Asani looks up to. She considers both Rafiki and Zazu to be old and wise, it bothers her when and if her siblings pick on either of them.
Prompt Number: Prompt 2 Prompt Entry: It was hot out on the Pride Lands, but that honestly didn’t bother Asani all that much. The small brown lioness was having way to much fun to have the heat ruin it. This little adventure had started as a run of the mill tour with dad and the siblings, but she’d slipped away while he’d been distracted and was now exploring on her own. Large ears flicked back and forth as she padded around, sticking her nose into holes and bothering the different species of bird that made this their home as well. She didn’t understand what was so dangerous about going out alone; as long as the sun was up she could see anything that came her way. It was only at night that things got scary; she didn’t have the best night vision…not that she would admit that to anyone of course.
After a few more minutes of wandering she spotted a flash of white and stopped, that was way too big to be a bird. She approached a little more cautiously now, ears flicked back and eyes narrowed as she placed each paw carefully so as not to make a sound. She didn’t want to spook whatever it was away before she got the chance to see it up close, if that happened she’d never be able to forgive herself. Once she finally felt she was close enough she lifted her head, and stared at the white lion she suddenly recognized. The small female huffed and dropped back down again, that wasn’t a new mystery that was an old one. She knew that the white lion lived with the pride but she’d never really interacted with him before, so for now he remained a mystery. One that she planned on unraveling once she had found her father again.
Asani glanced back over her shoulder at the white male one last time before wandering back toward where she had left her father and siblings. There were still a great many mysteries still in the pride, she had to solve those first before she even thought about traveling out on her own to find new ones.
Future Plans?: I’d like for her to get a lot of family time and when she’s older I’d like to Rp her with Timbavati. He seems like he’d be one that she becomes interested in, with his white coat and all. I’d like for her to develop a crush on him and then see where that leads her.

A mane is the main attraction!
Username: xxR o z e
Cub's Name: Ngozi >>>Name’s Meaning: “Blessing.” I chose this because… well, he is Simba’s blessing because he’s not a girl. |D Cub's Personality: Ngozi is a strange mix of his parents, with select random traits that are all him. He’s feisty, sharp tongued, and mischievous. He’s over protective of his mother and sisters, though they can hold their own, he’s always there if they need him. Like his parents, he’s bound to get into trouble as a cub. Consistently.
When he’s not getting into trouble, he’s with his family, he’s with friends. Either adventuring or telling stories. He’s got a very… active imagination, and his favorite stories to tell are the ones with his father battling off armies of Outlanders to save the Pridelands. Or perhaps the one where his mother kicked his dad’s butt and basically drug him back. Though those are true, to some extent, he includes monsters and various villians to thwart his parents’ efforts, just to make the story more exciting. Now, considering all this, he is very excitable, and it doesn’t take much to have him bouncing up and down, and--on rare occasion--prancing and singing.
Will They Stay in the Pride?: Of course Ngozi will stay! The Pride needs him! Well… maybe not as much as he’d like to believe, but still! What Will They Bring to the Pride: The escape of story telling, and a protection that only fortifies his father’s and grandfather’s. And more lovable cockiness than one Pride can probably handle. Thoughts of Family: Will be doing this from his point of view for a better sense of how he thinks of them. <3
Simba and Nala // “They’re my parents. I love them. Though, Mom’s always trying to make me go hunting with my sisters and I wanna stay with Dad and Granpa. They can teach me more than the girls can. Plus… girls have cooties.” > 3>
Mufasa and Sarabi // “Granma and Granpa are the ones I got to when my parents and sisters are doing their own things. I like to listen to the stories of Granpa’s time as Lion King. I wish I could have seen that.”
The Sisters // “….why do I have so many of them? Really! I’m the only boy! This is crazy!” *Annoyed tail flick.*
Kiara and Kovu // “ANOTHER SISTER.” = = “At least she’s old enough that she has a mate. Who is awesome. I sneak out with him to explore a lot when Mom and Dad are asleep or away. He’s one of the only guys I can actually hang out with that’s not more worried about me than finding something fun to do.”
Timon, Pumbaa, Zazu, and Rafiki // “….Wow. Our family has weird friends. ‘Specially that crazy baboon. Good thing he doesn’t always carry that stick of his. I don’t want a repeat of what he did to Dad happening to me.” < <
Vitani and Nuka // “They’re Kovu’s siblings. Nuka is a little… off to me. But Vitani seems to be more down to earth. Plus, she lets me play rough with her since she got to do the same thing when she was a cub.” <3
Zira and Scar // “Well… Scar is Kovu’s dad, Dad’s uncle, and Granpa’s brother. He’s manipulative and just… all around scary. I don’t like him. And Zira, who I think is Kovu’s mom, is like a girl version of him. She still wants to hurt my Pride and I don’t like her, either.”
Prompt Number: 1 Prompt Entry:
Hunting, huh? With a playful swat at Penda’s ear as he passed her, he sauntered up to his mother and father. If nothing else, this would be interesting. Tuning out the warnings his father was giving, he sat back, his tail tuft tapping the ground with a slow, cocky rhythm. He’d watched his mother and the other lionesses hunt from afar plenty of times. What was so hard about stalking and pouncing? He did it with Vitani all the time. As his father stopped talking and stepped up, he lifted his eyes.
“Ngozi. Keep an eye on your sisters. And don’t get too arrogant.” Simba smiled, leaning down to nudge his only son forward to his mother.
With a grunt, Ngozi leaned against his mother’s front leg, watching as his father gave individual goodbyes and good lucks to his three daughters. Making a face, he looked up to Nala. “Mom? Why do I have to go?”
Giving a laugh, his mother leaned down, nuzzling his cheek, “Because one day you might have to hunt for your own supper.”
His face contorted again, earning him another laugh from her before he pushed away, trotting to the edge of Pride Rock, looking out over the plains. In the distance, he could see a herd of zebra grazing just on the horizon. A few miles to their left was a smaller herd of gazelle, maybe impala. He didn’t know, the hooved brown things always looked the same to him from a distance.
“Come on, now, while it’s still early.” Nala’s voice rang in his ear. Turning, he noticed that they were already making their way down the steps. With a bounce in his step, he trotted after them, leaping nimbly from the rocks to the dirt, a cloud of dust billowing up from under his paws as he landed. Coughing, he scampered off to catch up to the group of females, feeling oddly out of place in such an estrogen filled hunting party.
They stayed silent as they loped toward the herd of zebra. They were slower than the thin, nimble gazelle--or impala, he still didn’t know what they were--which gave the cubs a chance to actually team up and take one down. While he strategically planned his way of taking down his own striped prey, the party stopped. Immediately stilling, one paw froze in the air mid-step, his ears laid back on his head, his eyes darting to his mother. With her voice soft and barely audible, she whispered to them, “Spread out and stay quiet.” Looking to her son and darkest pelted daughter, she nodded, “Ngozi, Kula. You two stay together.”
Without waiting to hear how she split the rest of their group, he tilted his head, motioning for his next to youngest sister to follow him. Quietly, the two of them made their around, keeping their eyes on the small herd as it grazed, oblivious to the even smaller ring of predators that was surrounding them. Pausing again as one of the striped beasts lifted its head, looking around warily before going back to its food, they held their breath.
Cautiously, they moved again. Slower. Quieter. More calculated steps. His eyes flickered over to a wall of thick, tall grass almost the colour of his fur. A few steps away, there was a rock that jutted out above the smallest equine there, perfect for his sister to sneak onto. Turning to her, he jerked his chin toward the rock before taking a step into the thick grass. After a moment of her staring at him like he was insane, she moved. Silently, he stepped into the grass, watching her as she stealthily climbed onto the rock overlooking the grazing area. Crouching down, they waited for the perfect moment to spring their trap. Slowly, the small zebra edged its way closer, happily eating.
Taking slow, deep breaths, he unsheathed his claws, kneading at the dirt with the sharp points, digging ruts that would be the only sign he had been there when he was gone. Without warning, all of the grazing, happy zebra snapped their heads up. Panic was evident in their dark eyes, and it took him a moment to realize why. One of his siblings was up wind instead of staying down wind. Snarling, he leapt from the grass before they had a chance to bolt. Just as he sank his claws into the poor zebra’s hindquarters, using his weight to slow its escape, he saw Kula launching herself from the rock. In a flurry of claws, fangs, hooves, whinnies, and fur, they brought their prey down. Grinning happily, he looked up from their kill, watching his mother take down a rather large zebra on her own. Planting his butt on the ground in front of his and Kula’s kill, he waited for the excitement to die down.
The moment the older lionesses noticed the two had accomplished their goal, they came over to offer their praise. Pats and nuzzles, congratulations and ‘good job’s. His grin widened, and he purred to his sister, proud of her. As their mother made her way over, he got up, pulling Kula along with him so Nala could inspect the fallen zebra.
“Very nice! You father will be so proud of you!” Giving them both a purring nuzzle of her own, she smiled. “Now, grab a leg and let’s go home.”
Almost vibrating with excitement, he took one of the zebra’s legs in his jaws, waiting for his sibling to do the same before starting the trek back home. His other sister’s had gotten nothing, which only made his grin more cocky, his paw falls more confident. He couldn’t wait to hear what his dad had to say. Yes, hunting was for girls, but it didn’t hurt to be good at it.
Future Plans?: …..Welp! He‘s got a bit of character development to do, which will happen through lots and lots and lots of RP with members of the pride. But, my basic outline for his future would be shaping him into a wonderful male lion that his parents could be more than proud of, then having him find and fall in love with a nice female lion to bring back to the pride and raise cubs with. Among other things. But, for now, that‘s as far as I‘ve gone with it. More will come if I actually win. xDD

Great entries so far! Just six more hours (and ten minutes) till this closes down guys!
Note: I may not be here when it closes. I have to go with my girlfriend to get her tattoo done, since it's going to be in a painful spot and she needs someone. So! That being said, I will discuss with Dreaming when I get back, hopefully not too long after it ends. ( Post made at 1:52 PM )

Lionesses do all the work around here.
Username: Bandia dar data or
Cub's Name: Juwayria ~ African for 'Damask rose' Cub's Personality: Juwayria is much like what her name suggests, she is soft and delicate like a rose, but can have her thorns if the time calls for it. Will They Stay in the Pride?: Of course What Will They Bring to the Pride: Juwayria will keep the pride connected to their roots. Listening to her father speak of her grandfather, and all the wisdom he imparted she can't help but to wish to remain close to all of that. She often wanders the caves of pride rock searching for her grandfather in hopes of speaking to him, and gaining more knowledge. She watches the stars, knowing that all of the kings of the past look upon her equally as intently. She believes in the circle of life wholeheartedly, and follows guidance where it is given. Thoughts of Family: She adores each and every member of her family, even her uncle scar. She knows what he has done and how terrible it was, but she still shares blood with him. His path was twisted, and dark, his soul being rended this way and that. She pities him more than anything else. She gets along very well with her father, always wishing to hear more about the lessons he learned after he left Pride Rock. She loves her mother very much as well, knowing her to be a strong, independant, and intelligent lioness.
Prompt Number: Three
Prompt Entry: The sound of padded paws pacing back and forth over a stone floor echoed throughout the cavern. Juwayria sat perched atop a large boulder, front paws calmly crossed, and her eyes soft yet focused upon the figure below. “There is no reason to stay here.” Her sibling grumbled with the utmost sincerity. “Kiara is to be the next queen, and already the pride is being lead into the ground. It is disgusting!”
The harsh words bounced off of the stone, and for a moment the only thing Juwayria could think about was how many words those walls had heard. What did they know of the past? Or even the present? Her attention was directed back to her sibling, and she lowered her head.
“You mustn’t talk that way; you are just upset because father was cross with you. The words you are speaking are spoken out of frustration.”
She hoped her delicate appeal would calm her sibling or at least force them to think before speaking again. Alas, her plea fell on deaf ears as her sibling hunched their shoulders, and issued a low growl of frustration.
“It isn’t out of frustration! Can’t you see that the pride is heading in a downward spiral? Nothing is right anymore! Kiara , and her mate won’t be able to do much better, that is for certain. Why stay if nothing can be done?”
With a sigh Juwayria stood, and leapt from her perch to be seated by her sibling.
“Everything in life has its ups and downs; it just takes patience and faith to get through it. We must not lose hope but instead be confident that things will once again be better. Kiara still has much time to learn and grow, our father is not ill and the curtain is not close to falling over him. Not to mention she can ask for guidance from our grandfather whenever she gets lost.” She finished confidently.
Her sibling’s head snapped in her direction and she found herself a little frightened of this now demeanor. Obviously there was much more to this situation that she did not know, and she had suddenly begun to feel a little out of her element.
“Of course! Because the council of our long dead grandfather fixes everything! You are so naïve Juwayria! You aren’t even paying attention to what is going on around here. I don’t care if you stay or go, but I am not going to stand by and see the pride ruined. You just go on listening to the words of rocks, and trees as you always do, but leave me out of it!”
With that her sibling skulked away, angered and none the less willing to walk away from the only home they had ever known. Were things truly this bad? Whenever she walked around the pride lands she didn’t feel any disturbance. What had her sibling seen that she hadn’t? A little crestfallen, she headed deep within the caves in search of the answers she so desperately wanted. She had learned many things by listening but she was beginning to wonder whether or not she was naïve as her sibling had suggested. She would never leave her home, no matter how bad it got. She felt far too connected to each, and every part of this place. Even so, the prospect of another of her family members vanishing had her heart squeezing tightly in her chest.
At last the voice she so wished to hear reverberated off of the walls, and it was as though the air had returned to her lungs. It was clear she had much more to learn, and fast.
Future Plans?:
The forgotten: Juwayria knows about the evil acts her uncle committed, but she still wishes to know him. She knows that if a tree loses a root it is not whole. This could either go very well or very badly, she is not the strongest of her siblings, and could be easily decieved by her uncle, but she trusts in the knowledge imparted to her by her father, and grandfather as well as their friends.
Reading the world: Rafiki has always been good at being in tune with nature, and able to read the signs it provides. She will go to him in order to learn these ways, as well as the rituals of old. She is constantly on the look out for wisdom, and will look anywhere.
Wisdom is not all knowing: Just because she listens to her elders, and learns from them does not mean she is prepared for every situation. At this juncture she will be put into a situation which she does not understand, and doesn't know how to get out of. She will have to learn yet another lesson.
The Pride: Juwayria has always been proud of her past, and her heritage, considering it to be a huge part of herself. She will spend a lot of time with her family, learning from them and loving them. Also, sharing what she has learned with them.
Anger: Juwayria is usually a soft and understanding female, but there will come a time when she must face anger, perhaps even deep seated hatred. Not everyone can remain peaceful and forgiving forever.

Lionesses do all the work around here.
Username: jinxgirl5
Cub's Name: Rashida (African, "rightly guided") Cub's Personality: Proud and ambitious. Rashida isn't the type to crave power and betrayal most definitely isn't her style, but she's not the kind to just sit on her paws and go with the flow. She wants to feel like she's got a measure of control over her life. She takes forever to make up her mind and will pick over decisions, but when she makes a choice she commits to it whole-heartedly Will They Stay in the Pride?: It's a fifty-fifty chance. If Rashida feels like she's necessary to the pride then she might stay. But with the previous monarchs, the present monarchs, the queen-to-be and her mate, a prince and two other princesses in residence, will it really matter if she leaves? Sure her family will miss her, but she can always come back to visit. What Will They Bring to the Pride: Leadership. Maybe it's not her destiny to rule the pride, but Rashida's the kind that likes to get involved in everything Thoughts of Family: Simba and Nala :: Rashida loves her parents, but they're like watered down versions of her grandparents. Simba is still a bit too over-protective and neither have the experience of Mufasa or Sarabi. But she sees a great leader in her father and a proactive protectiveness in her mother. They make such a good team, and Rashida hopes someday to find a mate that can be to her what Simba is to Nala.
Siblings :: She loves her sibs a lot, even though she's not one to display her feelings or get all gushy. She'll feel a bit closer to her sisters and enjoy learning to hunt with them. She'll definitely want to look out for them and keep them safe however she can. While technically it's the job of her father to teach them the responsibilities of a leader, Rashida will also keep an eye on her brother. As Simba's first and only son it must be tough to see the role of leadership go to an older sister. If he ever left the pride to start one of his own, she might follow him and make sure he's got all the help he needs.
Mufasa and Sarabi :: Perhaps the two she respects the most in the entire pride. Once rulers who stepped aside and let the next generation take up the reins, Rashida sees her grandparents as vaults of knowledge and wisdom. She constantly watches Sarabi's actions and tries to mimic them, hoping to be a wise and gentle leader like her grandmother. She likes to ask Mufasa for stories and advice, and strives to use the knowledge he gives her as a means of self-improvement.
Kiara and Kovu :: Future monarchs of Pride Rock. Rashida is always watching these two, evaluating them with a critical eye. She would honestly say she isn't sure what she thinks of them as rulers. They do things differently than she would, but different doesn't mean better or worse. As a sister and brother-in-law she does respect and love them, even feels like she can learn something from them, but Kiara is a bit too energetic for her more serious nature.
Pumbaa, Timon, Rafiki, Zazu :: Kind of annoying. Timon and Pumbaa are a bit too immature for her tastes, especially once she grows into a lioness. Zazu is just bossy and a bit stuffy, and yet another reason Rashida is sure she'll never really be needed. Rafiki is probably the one she tolerates the most, for the good advice he gives. But sometimes that advice leads to levels of introspection she'd rather not deal with...
Scar :: Rashida can empathize a bit with how her uncle must have felt. She knows what it's like to want power and know you'll always have to compete for it. But Rashida finds contentment in having personal power, unlike her power-hungry uncle who wants it all. She could never imagine wanting power so much that she'd betray her family.
Prompt Number: Prompt Three Prompt Entry: "Where do I go from here?"
Rashida sat on one of the rock structures that dotted the Pride Lands, the setting sun lighting up her dark fur to a brilliant chocolate brown while she looked out over the lands she called home.
For days now there's been discontent among the four siblings. This was their home where they'd grown up, where all their family lived. Where they could raise families of their own and never worry about being alone. Yet for Rashida and one of her sisters, it still wasn't enough. Her other sister was more than content to live out her life at Pride Rock, and her brother would probably do the same.
Rashida sighed softly, looking over the grassy plains to the large rock structure that stood out for miles. Home. It was all anyone could have asked for, and yet she still questioned whether it was enough. Was it selfish of her to want more? It wasn't even power Rashida craved, not really.
'I want to be something more,' she thought. 'Something more than just a princess, something more than just a huntress. That's all I'll ever be though, if I stay here.'
Rashida sat and watched the sun sink below the horizon, her thoughts a jumbled mess. She knew her sister had reasons of her own for wanting to be gone, but the bottom line remained the same. Both felt the desire for more out of life.
'Sister probably already has her answer,' Rashida thought, slipping off her rock and heading back for home. 'Question is, what's /my/ answer?'
Future Plans?: I would love to get in as much family RP with Rashida while she's still a kit. I will haunt the thread every free moment I have.
Rashida's gonna need a lot of interaction with the pride and character development before she decides whether she wants to leave or stay with the pride. It all depends on what she finds. She might end up doing a trial period where she leaves the pride to see how life compares, and returns to find out how much she was missed as part of the team instead of part of the family.
I'd like to see her go through a couple internal struggles. She likes power and looks a lot like her uncle Scar, so she worries she could end up like him. I want her to discover that she's actually quite different from Scar, perhaps have someone from outside the family point it out.
Also gonna be very picky finding a mate for her. She's got something specific in mind, and isn't going to settle until she's very sure of her choice.

On a note: I'm going to be making a guild for the Pride. Pride members will be sent invites; and if you have something to do with the pride (a mate who is a family member, ect) you will be invited. Even if the cub ends up leaving the pride, you will still be welcome there. And now, I'm off to go smash more people in Alice. Congrats Rose and Jinx.
