"you think so?" she said to riley, feeling a little reassured that the mindflayer wasn't worried about the content of the class.
As more and more students came into the class, Astra was left to wonder who was who. Some of the students she had recognized, but others she had never seen before. She turned around in her seat to see who was talking to them. "Sorry, I don't know what he meant either. This is the first class I've attended..." She was unaware as of yet that riley had explained the situation to gabrian, but for now she seemed to forget that they were there, as she focused her attention on the other students. One of them seemed to be bouncing of the wall with glee, and she was interesting to watch. Plus she realized she knew the patchwork who had walked in too. He was the one whom she tried to find his arm! And there was the very purple looking demoness too, looking quite relaxed in her seat.
"Hello! umm.." She paused, trying to remember what the patchwork's name was. Did he even say his name to her? "...mr...." She faltered off, then heard Gabrian address the happy girl as Junko so she turned her attention to her. "Hello..junko?"

If Tess had noticed Gabrian's uncertainty in offering her a seat, she didn't show it. Which likely meant she didn't notice and more and more students were coming in! She had hoped Lizzy would be around or Amrita or someone she knew. But then she spotted Kasumi and the winged vampire brightened. She was half-way to flying towards her until she realized the ghost ghoul had headed for another ghoul. She felt like she was intruding now, and torn with indecision, she ended up hovering near Riley and asking the first thing she could think of: "H-how is your minipet?"
Oh Tess, maybe you shouldn't have joined this class, makeup or no.

Riley looked somewhat surprised that Gabrian had remembered her from the Christmas raid. She couldn't place a memory of him at all, and she felt rude that she could not remember seeing him there. Well. I'm glad we've had the chance to rectify that. It's lovely to meet you. He seemed pleasantly refined, and she fully appreciated it. Her eyes crinkled slightly in mirth at the mention of communication, and she shrugged. It is out of necessity, truly. I'm certainly thankful I'm able to communicate telepathically - the idea of using little note cards for everything does not appeal to me. She had seen Christof's struggle with communication, and she knew that it was distinctly not fun.
Riley nodded to Astra in response to her question. She was confident they had nothing to worry about. She looked as though she was going to reiterate this fact, when Tess hovered near and questioned her on Cthulhu. Riley's cheeks turned a darker shade of purple at the mention of her rogue pet, and she hedged slightly before responding. Ah. He is.. ah. He's good. Good at destroying dorm rooms, that is.

Oh boy! Oh boy! Forms and Faces was easily Gargantuan's favorite class, and he was eager to shoulder open the door and make his way inside. "Hiiiiii miiiiister Tailoooooor." Came the affectionate rumble, and the monster paused to stare curiously at the box in the center. Was there something yummy inside? Oh, but they had to wait... With his head-fin no longer a beautiful and bright shade of red, Gargantuan at least looked little less silly, and would tromp over to a seat.
There were people he recognized in the classroom now, and Gargantuan twisted this way and that, trying to take in all the faces and put names to them.
There was Riley, and Sumi, and Junko, and Sin, and Patchy... well, he thought that was all the people he recognized. "Hiiiii." He would still tell the class, waving an enthusiastic hand. They'd like this class, he was sure of it! Everyone would, and did!
((RP Link! It's still in progress, but if that's a problem, I'll write up a solo!))

(( Roleplay ))
Lucien wasn't the first one in the class, but he wasn't late. It was an improvement, at least by Lucien's standards. It was a miracle he didn't forget and end up spending the day up in the clouds. He looked around the class, sort of disappointed when he didn't see Tybalt wasn't here. Perhaps he was so good he went on to bigger and better things? Maybe he was off decorating robocorns for silver pumpkin seeds! Oh, how lucky!
Lucien could only smile thinking about his friend's good welfare as he looked around for a place to 'sit'. It wasn't so much the chair he wanted, he just needed a desk just in case there was to be any sort of writing in today's class. Wait, were there desks last class? When did these get here? Wait, when did they leave? Lucien stared for a moment as he finally found a seat. He refused to put his rear on the hard chair, but he made an appearance that he was sitting on it, floating just a little over it as he waited for class to start.

Speaking of trouble with communication, at Astra's sudden re-introduction, Christof glanced up from his oogling Sin's legs, eyes narrowing as he tried to remember where he had seen the face from- OH! The little fairy girl from that... horrible cold place? She looked a lot taller now. Flushing, his hand immediately dug into his pocket for his introduction card.... only to come up empty.
He tried another pocket.
And another.
Hell's BELLS! How could he have left the stack in his room?? He glanced around frantically, spotting Riley with a hopeful look but- No, no she was busy chatting with other students. Right. Well, he shouldn't let himself be spoiled by the psychic anyway. Turning his notebook to a fresh page, he quickly scribbled out his name that way. Well, it worked didn't it? Hopefully she could read his atrocious handwriting.

Maritess could only nod awkwardly at the mindflayer's response. Jack damn it, she hated small talk. When it seemed introductions were being made, Tess figured she ought to volunteer her name. It was better than just flying there like the awkward, legless idiot she felt like she was. Mustering as much confidence as she could, "Hello, I'm Maritess," she stated, a small smile on her lips, "Ah, are most of us taking this class for the first time?" She couldn't help but ask, while she had addressed this question everyone gathered around Riley, Christof's scribbling had caught her attention and thus had her gaze. She knew the boil from the school play but never really got the opportunity to interact with him during rehearsals. After all, the Mayor never really spoke with Oogie in the play as far as lines went.

What old feelings that Calder had for this class were quickly replaced with dread. He was excited to take this class at first. The most he wanted to learn from school was to change his appearance, but he didn't want to make it more pretty than what he currently had to deal with. The last make-up session had been horrid, and he wasn't looking that optimistic that today's class would be any different. In fact, if he so much as saw that make-up kit again, he was going to turn right about around and run.
When he saw their seats were clustered together, he moved over and plopped himself down. Not happy to be here, but better when he saw they weren't going to mess with crud on their faces. It wasn't until a wardrobe change was mentioned that Calder regretted not leaving when he could. He didn't WANT to change his clothes. He liked his kilt, and he had a bad feeling someone was going to doll him up. Why couldn't he go to this class and be scary?! He didn't want anyone messing with his hair, with his clothes, or with his face unless they were going to make him look like a better looking monster than what he looked now – which was just ……….ugh, it was too pretty! He wanted to be the amazing, shadow-beast of a kelpie his parents could be. Not this! Why couldn't this teacher just do that?!

Christof's writing reminded Tess about the assignment from the career counseling. She knew better than to bring out the actual questionnaire, instead she brought out her notebook. Just in case their teacher decided to begin classes soon.

Ithilethiel wondered into the classroom and took a seat as the profesor had instructed. This was beginning to be the class she was most familiar with. She couldn't think of any other class she had spent more time in as of yet. But that wasn't because she enjoyed this class more than any other; she simply seemed to be able to make it to this class on time more than the others. Ithi wondered idly what exactly today's lesson would entail. But it seemed at least that this time there would be no lingering side effects (not that she'd had any trouble with the make up last time). And at least they didn't have to get in groups this time. (( Shehk's Solo )) Shehk had not been a happy camper, dealing with her face looking like a squirrel until she'd managed to get all of that damned paint off of her face. She'd even had to peel apart the stitching on her face to get paint out from the crease on it!
It had been horrible.... which may have been why Shehk hadn't looked all to ecstatic to walk back into the classroom that had caused her such woe. Then again, it wasn't like this class was as bad as... as...
that class.
Just thinking about the class with Nurse Cricket made the Pricolici balk. It was just.. the most horrible thing of all time. That woman. And it wasn't just because she was a ghost. It was just..Cricket made her flesh crawl in a way that no pulse ever would have made it.
But it was little point. She was at least presentable post-disaster. In fact, Shehk had made a point of fixing up her facial stitching nice-and-taut after she'd pulled it apart. It was strange how one looked when they were peeling themselves apart though. Good thing she made a point to not have an audience whenever she did that!
Hnngh.
There was a quick look around the room for her to see who there was for her to sit by, before she sighed and just took up an empty seat, sinking into it awkwardly.

[I will post a Solo link in the morning. ;o; I'm butt tired now.]
The last Forms and Faces class didn't leave a bad impression on her, nor did it leave a good impression. She was neutral about it... After all, it seems like many of Amityville's teachers are bent on making their students suffer in one way or the other; stuck-on make-up actually feels quite mild.
Not one to miss a class she had already enrolled in, Lizzy made her way to class just in the nick of time; she was sure that it was able to start soon! Grabbing a random seat (she didn't have time to see who else was about), the Demoness made herself comfortable and rested her arms on the table, placing her head on her arms.
What is that huge box for anyway?

Junko blinked and whirled around to see Gabrian when she heard her name, blushing a bit and smiling as she gave a little shrug. Always a pleasure? No one had ever said that to her before! "Oh yes, I'm very excited! I wasn't able to attend the other sessions of this class, it's purely by luck I was able to make it to his one on time!" She was very relieved and very excited. An unfamiliar voice spoke her name uncertainly and Junko looked to see who it was. Why hello pretty little...ah...fairy? Whatever she was she was very cute. "Hello! It's nice to meet you, yes I'm Junko." She glanced over at Christof when she saw him beginning to panic and start writing something, jumping in her seat a bit. Oh! Right! She was going to do that here! The counseling thing...ah...where was it...theeeere it was.
She set the paper on her desk and looked around to make sure the professor couldn't see it, petting the small purple snakepen that wound its way around Junko's wrist and up her hand.

Rain took a seat at the first spot available. She didn't like this class anymore. She wasn't happy with how the last assignment had ended and she almost stayed in her room today. Zombies didn't have the best excuses though. They didn't really get sick like others. What was she going to say, she caught the flu? She was undead. She didn't get the flu. So she had to come back and she wasn't happy. She had stayed in her room for an entire weekend because of the last time she was here. She had looked.. like a wanton ghoul! Even now she couldn't get the sight out of her head. Those pink cheeks, the darker lips. She shoved her face in her hands at the reminder. She didn't want to be here. (( Roleplay ))

((I have permission to join! <3))
Malodore was feeling a trifle foolish - it had (wrongly!) assumed that these courses were only for those with special abilities, focusing on transformation by internal or magical means. It was both pleased and a bit embarrassed to discover that was not the case!
Therefore, the plague doctor had crept into the classroom and taken a seat, feeling a bit awkward showing up so suddenly in the middle of the term... but better late than never, after all. Education was worth dealing with a little emotional trauma.
