The classroom still battered, at least the vanity mirrors are gone and the desks have been restored -- kind of. They are there, but pushed to all edges of the room, leaving a wide open space at its center. In this spot sits a very large cardboard box.

It is currently closed.

By this point, at least, the lingering makeup on the poor students' faces should be gone, washed away with their last attempts. It had only stuck long enough to be embarrassing, not enough to clause any true problems. Except, of course, that most of them are youths and embarrassment can be the end of the world to someone currently in school, being judged by peers...

On the board is that same old roster, starting to get ragged now, with fresh additions to the page:

Professor Tailor is, apparently, prepared for any new transfer students to step into his class.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 10, 2011 7:02 pm

The Professor himself is leaning against the board by the box, his head lifting just a little each time as the bell rings, announcing students into his class. He points to a ring of chairs set up around the edges of the room in a lazy way, his familiar grin spreading across his mouth.

"Well don't you all look better. Take a seat." They might get the distinct impression that he is laughing at them. Is that appropriate for a teacher?

"Today's lesson is not on transforming the features but the whole: costuming." He tugs loosely on his tie, and his eyes flash to the box in the center of the room. It does not look like a wardrobe. Rather, it looks like it came out of storage deep in the pits of the school. It is old. Water-stained.

"Once everyone is here -- or once it seems as many as are coming are here -- we can get started. I'm sure you'll be glad to hear this isn't a group effort this week."

((If you've forgotten your homework: It was to post in at least one RP with the makeup still stuck to your character's face. If you didn't do it, please write a brief solo in your journal about your character's reaction to the situation.

Whichever you choose, post your student coming in and sitting down, as well as a link to your RP or solo, by next Monday. Then the prompt for this class will be posted. Feel free to interact until then!))

((astra has permission to attend this class even though she hasn't done the first two))

This had to be the most important class she had ever attended

Astra's whole future would be staked on weather should pass this class or not. She had to learn how to transform her form into something else, she just had too! Everyone in her family could shape-shift with ease, and if they couldn't...well, they didn't get very far in life...

But apart from all the pressure she felt to learn her natural abilities, this class promised to be a lot of fun. Her curiosity was at a all time high, as she wanted to meet not only more students, but more professors. Weren't' they supposed to be really strong and smart and all teacher like? Plus, she had yet to play a decent prank on anyone! That wasn't right...but then, everyone she had met was either someone she didn't want to anger, or she was too busy trying to fight off JOYfull pink elephants with bad fashion sense. She'd need to think of some good ones today.

There was also one extra problem she had to face...

She had missed the previous two lessons

Being a late arrival to the school proved to have many drawbacks, especially in this sense. Now she would have to make up for two classes, but she had yet to be told what she had to do. Would she be told when she went in? or even worse, would she get into trouble?

Standing at the door to the classroom, with her trusty staff in one hand and her school bag in the other she deliberated on what she had to do. Perhaps she could sneak in unawares...As soon as she pushed the door open, the tinkling of the bell betrayed her presence.oh jack, she forgot about the bell! Flinching at the sound, she peered into the classroom looking for signs of any others she recognized. Damn, there wasn't any. With a reluctant sigh, she moved past the door and into the classroom, feeling very small and out of place as she walked to one of the seats

((Riley also has permission even though she hasn't done the first two!))

Riley saw Astra hovering hesitantly by the door, and slowed down her walk to give Astra time to build up enough courage to go in. Riley immediately followed, taking the seat directly behind Astra. Though they'd only met briefly, she easily remembered her name.

You look worried, Astra. Perhaps you and I are in the same situation? I have not taken this class previously either. If this is the case, you have nothing to worry about. I am told there will be make-up work for us.

Riley had no supplies with her, as usual. She leaned back casually in the seat, and relaxed. It was so quiet and empty, it made the environment itself very relaxing.

At first Astra did not notice Rileys presence, her attention focused on the professor and the other areas of the room. Once she heard her voice, she almost jumped out of her seat, antenna standing on end before she realized who it was.

"...You haven't been in any classes either?" she turned around to look at her with awe. She imagined her to be one of those super smart demons that new everything, so it was a bit of a surprise she hadn't attended previous classes. But it was also a relief; at least there would be someone else she could relate to.

"I'm still a little worried about the make-up work.." Astra confessed. "..I don't know how much work has been done..what if the professor wants us to change into something? like a frog?" Thinking about it made her nervous; she could hardly change her hair color let along something like that...

((Tess also has permission to join the class))

Maritess was surprised that she wasn't late. Usually by the time she got to a class, dozens of students had gotten the good seats. Of course when she saw the state of the equipment and the room, she couldn't help but feel... nervous was the nicest word she could use to describe her feelings. Still, class was class and while she couldn't shift forms, she had heard there was makeup involved. Tess will not deny wanting to learn how to put on makeup. But she won't volunteer the fact she knew nothing about it. Oh she could apply a bit of powder (unlike most vampires, her particular subspecie had reflections) and some lip gloss but anything more grown up had been barred from her possessions until her father was capable of accepting his little scareling was growing up.

While she spotted some familiar faces, Tess couldn't completely breathe easy.

((Gabrian has permission to join this class))

On one hand.. he was late, on the other, it wasn't really his fault. He was 'late' in the sense that he had missed a few classes of this course, but then again, he hadn't been in school at the time of those classes, and as such, Gabrian felt it was not really his fault he had missed them. He'd even managed to snatch permission to join the course late; after all, he felt that such a class was crucial for someone like himself, whom depended on trickery and transformation to do his job just as much as he depended on charm. Unfortunately, his serpent form wasn't particularly scary at the moment, being much too small for his taste. He was hoping this class would aid him in that department.

He walked into the class as the Professor spoke, a brow arching slightly at his words; those words, for some odd reason, did not bode well. What did he mean when he said the students looked better? Refraining from scowling, the nix demon padded into the class, taking a seat near Riley and Astra, "What is he talking about? What does he mean they 'look better'?" he drawled out to the ghouls, "I'm afraid I wasn't around for the first couple of classes. He spotted Tess too, but as he looked at her, he was unsure whether it'd be polite or... er, rude to offer her a seat. In fact, he seemed to falter for a moment, clearly torn and unsure of what to say.

((Junko has permission to join in! <3))

Finally! Junko had been wanting to be in this class so badly, she was so disappointed when she discovered she'd missed out on the signups. But now the professor was letting them join in late! Junko was thrilled. She had fed Her enough to get Her to cooperate during class, and she was ready for anything! Junko happily walked into the classroom, looking around to find that she already knew a few of the students here. "Hi, Gabrian! Hey, Riley!" She called out to them, waving to the two demons. Yes, it was very clear that this ghoul was excited to be here. What? A student excited for a class? No way!

Yes way, apparently! Because Junko was very excited to be here. So what that she missed two classes? That wasn't her fault! She wanted to be in them so badly. Better late than never, right?

Christof shifted nervously as he poked his way into class. He had missed the previous ones, and the guilt of not having any homework to turn in hung heavily in his chest as he timidly made his way towards a desk. AH! Mistress Riley was in this class too! He wasn't sure if she was able to shape-shift or not... or even if that is what he would learn here. Mostly he was concerned about his special Left Arm, and the proper use of his fear power- hopefully this class would help with that. Swallowing, he slipped into his desk, glancing from student to student for faces that were growing increasingly familiar, even if their names were not. Well. So far so good, right? He was being a good boy, attending all his classes. That's what mattered.

((Permission to join granted! (: ))

(( Kasumi has permission to enter the class! ))

A ghost lingered in the doorway. Should she go in? Shouldn't she? Kasumi specifically asked permission to join in the class, and even went to the professor himself for that permission. Still, she couldn't help but feel like an intruder, not having attended the first two classes. Wringing her hands, she wandered in and phased through a desk to sit next to Miss Junko. She smiled at the futakuchi-onna and her lovely Mistress. "I'm so glad I know someone in here! It makes everything so much easier. How are you, Miss Junko?"

To the professor, she gave a polite nod. "Again, thank you for allowing me to join, Professor."

Riley quirked a brow at Astra's worry, shaking her head. I highly doubt that the make-up work will be too difficult. I haven't heard from my peers that this class was complex, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Riley considered the idea of changing a frog. She had no magical talent, thankfully, but she could certainly change a frog.. into a pile of decapitated, brainless mush. That would count, right? Right.

Riley gave Gabrian a side glance as he addressed them, but shrugged in response. I'm afraid you'll get little from us, we were not here for the previous classes as well. We are in the dark just as much as you. She murmured quietly into his mind, even as she waved a greeting back at Junko, and gave one to Christof as well. I don't believe I've had the pleasure of making your acquaintance, she looked back at Gabrian as she continued. Her hand, which had been raised in the wave, dropped down in front of him. I'm Riley.

Sin was tempted not to enter the classroom, her was still annoyed at how much scrubbing and hair washing it had taken to get back to herself. She flicked her hair back and sighed slipping inside and looking around. Ohh some new and familiar faces! With a smile she moved to take a seat and relaxed a bit. It didn't look like there would be any make-up application today which was a relief. She glanced curiously at the large box and then around at the other students.

Christof's mouth twitched up over the edges of his scarf in a smile as he waved back to his Mistress, content in his seat until.... a certain face and particular form snagged his attention. There, sitting not a desk away were those long drinks of water that never stopped, tucked so neat and daintily under her desk. His heart thudded as he tried to discreetly (although whether or not the screeching of desk legs could be considered discrete or not was up for debate) towards Sin eagerly. Yes, yes, this would be a good class.

Junko caught the glimpse of someone appearing beside her and she looked to see who it was, gasping and immediately realizing it was her dear friend Kasumi. "Kasumi!" She cried out with joy, throwing her arms around her friend. "I'm just fine! And yourself? I'm so happy you're here!" Now she knew three people! Riley, who she waved to when the mindflayer greeted her, Gabrian and now Kasumi! This was promising to be a good day. Promising class, students she knew, She was behaving...oh yes. Good day was good.

His gaze drifted towards Junko as she entered the room; the ghoul looked far too happy than she had any bussiness being, what with the fact they were in class. Alas, her happiness was slightly contaguious and he couldn't help but offer her a small smirk back, "My, my, Junko... always a pleasure to see you again. And in such high spirits. What has you so bright and cheery anyhow?" he watched as Kasumi greeted the ghoul, and merely startled slightly when he felt Riley's voice in his head.

For a short moment, the nix demon blinked, "That was most interesting," the words were murmured mostly to himself before he faced the demoness fully, "I believe I might have seen you during the Christmas raid, but I didn't have the time to properly meet you, what with the chaos," a pause and a small bow of his head, "My name is Gabrian; likewise pleased. you have a most interesting form of communication, if I may say so myself.

He also noticed Sin's entry, and offered her a small nod of his head too.
