First 5 I playesd were, in order:
1. FF VIII
2. FF VII
3. FF X
4. FF X-2
5. FF V
And now I own every FF Title, even the SNES ones, though I mostly use my SNES to play A Link to the Past XD
VIII was awesome, though up until Ultimecia's Castle I always had a hard time deciding who to divide the GF's amongst :/ It'd be cool if they'd somehow try to re-tool and re-work the Junction System into FF games, and swipe a few other ideas from a few other FF Titles, into one Super-FF title of awesomesauce XD

FFII ~ Which i think was really FFIV.
Then i played the original, and on upwards until i hit FF9 and was all WTF?

I started 8 and 7 around the same time, then 9 soon after. Now I've played all the main series from 4 on (except the online ones). I've also played all FFTA (1 and 2) and the original Tactics for the PSone. I haven't played any of the Crystal Chronicles or FF7 spin offs either.

FFX and second only have played 2 was FFIII for the ds.

6. FFIV
7. FFVII
8. FFXII
9. FFXIII
(i have never played FFV & FFVI ever.. i never found any games of those.. and square enix usually prioritized FF's I-IV)
