Status: Complete There was never a dull moment in the Song household. With five kids (six if you counted Lily who frequently visited) and growing there was no room for anything but hustle and bustle...
The current to do as of late was not only the arrival of Harley and Hannah but also the recent growths. If they didn't know better Vlad and Kaida would have sworn it was something in the water... With the exception of new arrivals everyone was getting in on the action of getting bigger!
Tori having her own 'issues' was currently doing her best to avoid everyone as much as possible... unless of course it suited her.
Vlad who knew it was best to not be constantly alone when life was upside down inside out was doing his best to keep track of his daughter... a task he was finding near impossible. Today of all days he'd set out to visit what he knew to be all of her regular places.
He'd found himself at the Curio Shop. The last stop that should have been the first and most obvious (after all Kay was frequently here)...
Vlad stepped in and to his disappointment the shop was empty. He wondered for a moment why the doors would be open if no one was 'in'. Then again this was this shop and it did have a crazy mind of its own...
He headed towards the desk so that he could leave a note for Switch so that when she came back if she knew anything about Tori's whereabouts that she could get a hold of him to let him know. However, his attention was diverted. Laying on the desk was a dusty old dvd and a note... "Thought your kids might like this." It was signed by no one. Having forgotten his purpose he picked it up shrugged his shoulders and left.
He glanced over his shoulder when he heard the shop lock its own doors...
Vlad returned home without news of Tori but with a new-to-them DVD. He had done his best to dust off the cover but most of it was permanent. At least he had the name of the DVD- The Last Unicorn. He smiled. How fitting for their family... There was just one problem, they lacked a DVD player. They had a 1980's television set and had no intentions of upgrading it.
Not that any of that mattered... The DVD came from the Curio shop and Vlad knew that could only mean one thing. He just half wondered why the note was written the way it was... Why couldn't it have just said, "here have another kid".
Not wanting the kiddo's to get excited about the movie he sat it on the dresser, out of site.

Status: Complete Vlad I half wonder if Switch intentionally was not at the shop today because she feared how we would act when it came to taking another item... She knows we have the saying of "always room for one more" but damn...
After returning home with another item from the Curio Shop I am very positive that we are expecting another child. How do you break it down to the wife that there is another unplanned kid joining the family. It should be easy by now considering that is how our family seems to grow.
There is no easy way to break the news so I went ahead and started preparing a room. Thank Heaven this house has plenty of rooms. I am starting to wonder if my mom planned ahead. There was no way she knew who would need it most. I'm just glad we have it. It is nice to have plenty of space and a nice sized yard. I cannot imagine being back in the space above the cafe with the amount of kids we have... We'd be stacked on top of one of another.
I am sure once Kaida sees the room she'll put one and one together to get two... I know she'll question. She may be frustrated at first but I know we'll both be laughing in the end. After that it comes down to telling the other kids. They have been very excepting thus far so I don't see why this time would be any different.
All we can do now is wait and imagine what this kid will look like and act like... I hope we don't have a clash of personality.
Note to self... String Switch by her toes later...

Status: Complete Amelia who had been watching Lucifel doodle her name and Lily's all over a piece of paper decided she wanted to write her name also. There was just one problem... she didn't know how to read or write. She only knew that Lucifel was doing those things because that is what her sister had said she was doing. So, Amelia did the next best thing, she doodled the head of a unicorn on the paper. "My name," she giggled as she pointed to the picture of the unicorn.
Lucifel glanced over to her sisters piece of paper and tried not to laugh. She could tell her sister was proud of her accomplishment even if it was wrong. "Not like that si..." she caught her her self before calling Amelia silly. "Like this," she said as she wrote out her sisters name on her own piece of paper. "A.M. E. L. I. A." As she wrote each letter she said it out loud.
"Okay," Amelia said confidently enough. What Lucifel had just done didn't look hard at all. Letters were just a bunch of connected lines. She took her crayon and writing it larger than Lucifel had she wrote out her name. "Still like my way better," she said as she looked at the letters.
"Then write your name and put a unicorn doodle next to it... Other wise someone might confuse you with some other unicorn," Lucifel grinned. "And, the last thing we want is to loose track of you." Which wasn't that hard to do with how quiet she was... unless of course she turned into a unicorn (so long as she wasn't with other unicorns).
"Okay," she said. Crayon still in hand she picked up her paper. She was tired of coloring and was going to go put her things away. "Thank you," she said as she got up and headed out of the living room.
"You're welcome," Lucifel chirped.
As Amelia put her crayons away she wondered what exactly those things were that she had written on the paper. She knew it was her name but that was about it. Her name didn't look anything like Lucifel's or Lily's... She could have gone back and gotten the answer from Lucifel but decided instead to go find Tori.
Tori wasn't all that hard to find when she was at home. She was either in her room sleeping or out at the stables just sitting. It was when she was out and about that she was nearly impossible to get a hold of, even with her having a cell phone.
As luck would have it... Tori was home but she was asleep. Amelia sat her paper by the pillow and with everything she had pulled herself up and into her sisters bed.
The moment Tori felt the bed move her eyes fluttered open. She yawned and stretched and muttered something about having to find a better hiding space in the main house for the key to her mini apartment. "Thank you for having the courtesy to not be a unicorn while on my bed," she said when she realized who was in her bed. She could only image what would become of her sheets if her sister had or did decide to s**t.
"Hooves are no good for this," Amelia said cheerfully. She smiled as she grabbed her paper and held it up for Tori. "What are these?" She was pointing to the A on the paper.
Tori sat up as she glanced over at the paper. "Those are letters," she grinned. "You use them to make words... like your name. How about I teach you the alphabet." She reached out and pulled Amelia closer.
Amelia settled against her sister and nodded her head but didn't talk for a second. She was trying her best to put things together. "So, the alphabet is what all the letters make... even if it isn't an actual word."
"Something like that," Tori giggled. "I'll even teach you how to speak with your hands if you'd like. It gives you more ways to communicate with people."
"Okay," Amelia smiled.
"A," and as Tori said it she made the letter with her hands. "B," and she repeated the same process.
Amelia was right behind Tori in ever action she made. She was almost as smart as Tori was when it came to picking up on things.
"and Z."
"That was pretty easy," Amelia giggled and did the entire alphabet by herself with her hands as she said the letters.
"Along with letters there are numbers," Tori mention this while Amelia was still fascinated by what she learned. She was sure that now was when Amelia would want to know more most.
"Numbers?"
"Yes. Like one, two, three," Tori smiled. "You use numbers to count things like years, and money."
"Oh, so that's how everyone knows how old I am and how much we have to pay when we buy new books."
"Yep," Tori giggled. "I'll teach you one to ten today and then we'll slowly work our way into bigger numbers. Eventually I'll show you what else you can do with your numbers. Lucifel can help you out a bit as well."
Amelia wasn't totally sure about this when her sister mentioned Lucifel. Sure her sister was smart but she was also all over the place. "She means well I guess," she finally said.
"She's got her own way of doing things... we all do."
Amelia nodded and then watched as Tori counted one to ten. "So, like this," she said as she held up one finger and said one. She continued until she got to ten. It was at about nine when her tummy started talking.
"You best go and eat breakfast," Tori grinned. "You've got it. Count frequently so you don't forget!"
"Okay," Amelia said as she climbed out of the bed. Completely forgetting her paper she headed to the door. It was breakfast time and she looking forward to counting her bits of apple.
Tori picked up the paper and smiled. She was wide awake now and decided she'd take a bath and get ready to start her day. She carefully tucked the paper into her drawer. She'd give it to her sister later.

Status: Complete Vlad I don't think coming from a large family could have ever prepared me for my own. Maybe it is because I never pictured having kids... and it just being Keeta and me for the rest of our days.
But, now here we are with a house full of kids... all girls. Victoria, Lucifel, Enyo, Harley, Hannah, and Amelia. Aside from that it is kinda like we adopted a couple more as much as Lily and THING are here. I am no complaining in the slightest.
I am actually coming around to having a large family. What I am not coming around to is the lack of sex and the extreme amounts of temper tantrums. Heaven help me if we make it past diapers and dating... I am not sure I look forward to marriage. There isn't going to be any man good enough for our daughters...

Status: Complete Amelia My name is Amelia. Tori has been helping me to learn my letters and numbers. So has my sister Lucifel. It is so much easier to just speak and skip the writing. Thankfully Tori is nice enough to write this as I tell her what I want to say.
I am a very pretty unicorn! I am happy to have so many siblings even if they each have their own thing going for them. Lucifel and Tori are nice enough to take me places. Just the other day I played with Tori's Faiya at a very noisy place. I prefer outdoors but indoors is okay.
I spend a lot of time in the stables. The horses keep me company. We have lots to talk about. But that is between me and them!
I am sure that is all I have to say for now...

Status: Complete It was extremely early. So early the sun hadn't risen and the dew was still untouched on the ground. Amelia barefooted and in her nightgown (not that it looked any different from everyday wear) exited the house to head to the stables.
Within a couple of seconds she'd walked herself into a shift. She hated being pint sized when the grass hadn't been cut in a while. Her coat was nearly soaked due to the dew...she tossed her wet dress on the porch before rearing up and coming down hard for her size. She then bolted off towards the edged of the property. For her plunkly little self she could be considered fast.
She went from rock to rock that rested just above the water of the small pond. Jumping over a couple of tree roots she was in the the thick of the forest behind her house. Sure she was small and probably should have been alone but this area was guarded by fence so was still considered to be in the yard. This was something private she did every morning. Private simply because she didn't have a sister who keep up unless they rode one of the equines in the stable.
She stopped in one of the many small clearings. As she snorted she could see her hot breath. She whickered and rolled around in the grass. She was making a mess of coat but darn did it feel good to her back. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a little light bug. Springing upwards she chased after the little bug... all playfulness.
Her fun came to an end when she noticed the sun rising... she didn't want to miss breakfast!

Status: Complete Amelia I've met a few interesting people. I'd say my favorites are Lily and Leviathan. Everyone seems fascinated by my ability to shift... I wish I understood why.
Lily is Lucifel's better half. I think I can say that. Lily comes here a lot. She practically lives here. The blueberry girl gave me a craft she made. I think she called it a bracelet but I think it makes a better book mark. I like books. And using it as a book mark means I get to see it more often... I also like it better as a book mark because then that way I won't break it when I shift. I'd hate to break or ruin a gift.
Leviathan is a sea dragon. He insists that he wants to have a princess. I keep telling him that a lord deserves a lady... I told him I could be his lady. Apparently he really likes me. I want to go back to the beach again soon... without Lucifel.
I feel something towards Lucifel that I don't know how to describe. It is not a good feeling and I don't like feeling that way. Tori and Lily both say she is a show off sometimes. I wish she would just stop when she is around me. I constantly feel like she is trying to out do me.
Tori had babies. I get to see them when I go over to her house. Even though she has babies and a full work load she still makes time for me and her other sisters. She helps out a lot in our homeschooling. I think Tori is my favorite sister.
Sorry journal that some of my letters are backwards... I am trying.
