Faiya giggled loudly and kicked her feet as her mother carried her into the loud, children's play-place restaurant. She clapped her hands and kicked her feet once more - the little blue toes captured and tamed by a pair of cute white sandals, sandals that matched her little white tulle dress perfectly. "Tori, Mama, Tori! We're gonna see Tori!" she squealed, more excited and happy than Tish had ever seen her daughter in her entire short life. The brunette laughed and put the excited toddler on the ground, holding tightly to her hand but letting her walk and skip about as she pleased.

"Yes, Faiya, we're going to see Tori - and her littlest sister, Amelia, remember?" The violin girl had called earlier in the week to set up a time to meet Faiya, and the scented girl hadn't been able to calm down ever since. She really couldn't care less that she was going to meet a new friend that was closer to her own age - it was Tori that Faiya wanted to see. Tori, Tori, Tori. Tish hoped that once she saw her older friend, Faiya would calm down at east a little. But knowing her excitable daughter like she did...

It wasn't very likely.

"Tori! Tori! Tooooooooriiiiii," the little girl yelped when she spotted a flash of red curls in the distance. She unclasped her hand form her mother's and took off running, the smell of oranges and vanilla following her with every step that she took.

Amelia couldn't keep up with Tori. It wasn't because Tori had longer legs and was faster, but because she wanted to stop and look at things every couple of steps. She let out a tiny squeak when she ran right into the turn style.

Tori looked over her shoulder the moment she heard it. She wasn't use to Amelia's personality just yet. She was the newest Song, and nearly an opposite of the rest. She smiled and helped her sister through the turn style and continued as if nothing had happened at all.

One would think that it would be easy to spot a blue tot... but in a place full of kids and not all human or 'normal' it was a little more complicated. Not to mention clothing colors and patterns didn't help any. And, every kid was just as hyper as the next, with the exception of Amelia who just stood there frozen.

"Tori! Tori Tori Tori Tori Tori Tori Toooooriiiiiii!" Faiya bellowed, tearing through the crowd and crashing intothe redhead's skirt with a 'shuff'. "Tori! Tori I missed you!" she chirped, not seeming to notice anything odd or different about her older friend at all.

She wrapped her arms around the older girl's legs in a tight hug, before finally looking past the billowy skirt to see the other little girl that was standing there, looking like a deer caught in the headlights. "Oh, hullo, you 'Melia?" she asked, and then squeaked as she was caught up from behind by her mother, who looked rather grumpy.

"Faiya, I've told you a hundred times not to run off on me. Do I need to get you a leash?" Tish asked, brushing a lock of hair out of the blue child's face as she smiled in an exasperated fashion.

"At least she doesn't swing from stage curtains like Lucifel," Tori chuckled. Knowing that Faiya's mom didn't have a firm hold on her she bent down just enough and scooped her up. She gave her a big, but gentle hug that said I've missed you to.

Amelia with her big doe like eyes looked up as her sister scooped up the other lil girl. But, then her attention was back on the sea of young and old. Once again she was standing frozen in spot.

Faiya giggled and reached up to hug Tori, planting a bit toddler kiss on her cheek. "I missed you, I missed you, but you're back now, you're back and I can see you lots more often right Tori? I can see you lots and lots!" She chirped, snugging up against the redhead. Tilting her head a moment, she reached up and patted Tori's cheek, almost where she had just kissed her. "Your pretty plants got bigger, just like you did! You're so pretty Tori!"

Tish, noticing the frightened look on the other little girl's face, managed a very soft smile for her. "It's alright little one. Your sister will protect you, I'm sure."

"I could swear you've grown an inch or two since we last met," she said as she kissed the top of Faiya's forehead. "I'm very sorry I haven't been around lately but I promise we will hang out more often now that I'm back," she ran her fingers through the scented girls hair. "Thank you but I assure you, you are prettier than me."

Amelia looked up at tall woman who was apparently with the little girl. She whickered and shook her head in a very equine like manor. "Lots of butterflies I like. Lots of people I do not." She said both statements in very soft but firm tones.

"Nu-uh, you're prettier,"Faiya said, beaming up at the redhead. "You get prettier alla the time!" With a little gasp, the blue girl leaned back, then leaned closer to Tori, reaching up and tapping her lip. "You got pretty pretty teethies now! Like a kitty's!" If Tish heard that particular comment, she clearly pretended not to notice it, in favor of offering a hand to the equine-like little girl.

"It will be okay, little one. There are some places in here with less people, maybe we should all go find one of them?"

"You as well are getting prettier all the time," Tori smiled. It was kinda fun to go round and round with who was pretty, not to mention, a good moral booster. Her eyes got wide when Faiya described her teeth but she couldn't softened and chuckled. "Meow!" She again kissed her on top of her forehead.

"Yes. Less people." Amelia tugged on Tori's dress. "Now please."

Tori knelt down and with ease scooped up Amelia. "Okay," she grinned. "I'd pick you up to Tish but I'm out of arms," she laughed.

Amelia touched the blue girl on the shoulder and smiled. Like this she felt that the other girl wasn't a threat. So if she wasn't a threat here then she shouldn't be on the ground either. "I am Amelia. You?"

Faiya snuggled up to Tori and beamed, just happy to have her friend back. "MY Tori," she declared, quite determined that the world at large should hear her. Tilting her head, she eyed Tori's "kitty-teeth" and blinked innocently, feeling her own teeth to see if they were as sharp. "Tori, do you eat mice now?" she asked, genuinely curious about that idea. Then, with a smile, she touched Amelia's hand with her own. "I'm Faiya! Nice t' meet you, 'Mel'a!"

Tish laughed and shoved her hands in her jean pockets, amused by Tori's phrasing. "I don't need carried anyway, Tori, but thanks for the offer," she said, amusement sprinkling her voice.

"And you my lil one are my Faiya," she gave her a gentle squeeze. She was amazed at how in tune to things this toddler was. In a way she was thrilled but in others not so thrilled. When the question of what she ate came up she paused. She didn't want to lie to her little friend. She knew that if the truth came out later it could potentially be a bad thing. "I eat what you eat," she said simply enough. It was true to some degree. "But I also like to eat what I hunt," and there she decided to leave out what it was that she hunted.

Amelia knowing it wasn't her place to answer for Tori kept her mouth shut. But boy did she want to let it come tumbling out that Tori ate people even if it terrified her to some extent. "Faiya," Amelia smiled and said it a few more times. "Sounds like a name of a flower. Flowers attract butterflies. I like butterflies."

"Didn't want to leave you out," Tori grinned over at Tish. "So how has everything been with you? Other than keeping up with the herd."

"Really? You hunt?" Faiya said, her eyes wide with awe and delight. "I bet you're the best hunterer in the whole wide world!" she declared cheerfully, and then patted Amelia's hand. "Uh-huh, butt'rflies like me, they follow me a lot."

"Oh, it's been all right," Tish said, shrugging a bit. "If more ordinary than most lives - though I'd never call it boring, not with multiple toddlers and children to chase after," she added with a smile.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 06, 2010 1:46 pm

"I am sure there is probably a person or two that is better than me when it comes to hunting," Tori grinned. "But thank you. I appreciate the compliment." She ran her fingers through both of the tots hair.

"You like butterflies. We be good friends." Amelia for the first time had an upbeat tone of voice.

Tori turned her focus for a moment from the toddlers her arms to Tish. Now that she was focused she could hear the faint heart beat. "Congrats" she grinned. "And I agree about not knowing what a 'boring' life is like."

Faiya shook her head, adamant in her belief of Tori's greatness. "Nu-uh, Tori's the bestest hunter-er!" she said, nodding to confirm her own statement. Then, with a giggle, she turned her attention back to Amelia. "'Mel'a, 'Mel'a, what kind of butt'rflied do you like bestest? I like the BLUE ones!"

Tish laughed lowly and shrugged a bit. "Best let her be on that, Tori - she'll argue with you for hours that you're the best. And thank you," she said, blushing a bit. "I'm just hoping that, with as fast as the other kids grow, more of them will be out of toddlerhood before the new one comes. It would make things easier, that much is certain!"

Tori nodded her head and decided to just agree with Tish. She left the rest of the chatter up to Amelia who seemed to have it under control... at least for the moment.

"I like all butterflies. They like me." Amelia said with pride.

"I am the oldest and I do a good deal of watching. I really don't mind that they are all infants, tots, and kids. Makes things interesting. Then again maybe that is because I don't have to worry about diapers," she winked.

"True, that does help," Tish saidd with a smile. "Well, with Lissy having grown recently it's been a lot easier already - she's quite eager to help with her siblings, and I swear that girl knows each of them like a well-loved book... you should meet my other kids sometime, Tori - none are quite like Faiya of course, but they're all good kids." The brunette continued, before finally spying an out-of-the-way table in the dining area, close to the stage. "Well, this looks empty enough."

Faiya blinked. "Butt'rflies like you too?" she asked, then gasped and pointed at the stage. "IT'S A BIG SINGIN' MOUSE!" She yelled, in absolute shock at the... giant singing robots on the stage.
