Riley kept her tentacles wrapped around her waist as she entered the butterfly museum. There was no touching of the the pretty winged insects as much as the toddler might wish to. She had to be on her best behavior and only look or she might hurt them. The desire to not hurt anyone stronger than her need to touch things and investigate them. For now the long eared bunny girl was contest just to stare up at the glass ceiling and watch the small brightly coloured creatures bob and weave in the air.
Cole rode atop his father's shoulders, a bit too tired still from the mid day nap to walk just yet. He wasn't sure what to make of this trip to see butterflies, though he definitely hadn't liked being sprayed with weird stuff earlier. Mostly though Cole just wasn't sure about butterflies in general, he'd never paid much attention to them before and now there were hundreds of them.
Perry never imagined going to a butterfly museum in his life time. Of course he never imagined two kids popping out of a novel and bookmark either so he supposed it was par for the course. At the very least he saw it as an educational thing, there were caterpillars and cocoons around as well so he could mention the whole life cycle thing. The man was open minded enough to think he might even find something he found interesting there if he tried.

Since Tori had met Carina here some time ago (what felt like another life time) she had frequently visited this place. She never opted to bring Lucifel or Enyo because of their tendencies- maybe at a later date when they were older. Amelia was different, she was gentle enough that she could come along. Also, she had an almost unnatural obsession with butterflies. Tori was currently sitting by a near by bench reading one of the butterfly pamphlets. She was always up to learning something knew. Amelia had giggled a little when she was sprayed down with good smelling stuff. She really didn't think she needed it, but she knew she had to follow the rules. She was currently standing pretty much in the center of it all. She was unnaturally still and quiet as she watched the black and blue butterfly on her hand. It wasn't doing much but still she was fascinated.

As she neared the center of the large open garden area Riley froze, there was a fluffy! Another white eared and tailed fluffy like Ama! Okay so this one was girl, though she might become a boy like Ama too, and she had a purple horn and tail tip so she wasn't quite the same as their beach met friend but she was still definitely a fluffy. With a smile the lavender haired girl walked over to the other toddler. "Hey," she whispered so as not to scare the butterfly " Who're you and what kind is that?" It was really pretty with white spots all along the black at the edge of it's wings.
Only a few feet behind his sister Cole stared in wonder at the horned girl. The spray had actually worked and a butterfly had landed on her! He wasn't sure if that was good or not, it meant one might land on him and he was mostly busy holding on to his father. Still it was sort of neat to see the pretty blue and black thing against the girl's pale skin.

"Hello," Amelia giggled. She was content and at ease and it showed. Her ears flickered for the first time in about five minutes. She'd heard the girl coming. "I didn't know there were different types just colors and patterns," she said with another ear flicker. She hadn't really paid any attention at all during the tour. All she had cared about was getting in to see the butterflies.
"My name is Amelia Surreal Song, or so I'm told," she smiled. "Have they named you to?" She asked naively as she glanced over and caught a glimpse of the girl her age.

The long eared girl nodded and grinned " I'm Riley and there's butterflies that live forever and become tree leaves." Or something like that anyways, she had seen it before .. sort of. The point was there were different kinds of butterflies. Excited and well a little devious Riley unwound her tentacles from her waist and reached our to touch the other girl. Amelia was not a butterfly but she was a fluffy and that meant Riley wanted to and could touch her!
Cole tapped his father on the head with a tentacle as they reached the pair of girls. He wanted to be let down at least for a moment to see the new girl up close, and also to make sure their father could do something if there were more tackle hugs like at the beach. The toddler was carefully let down off of sturdy shoulders and after a second he toddled sleepy over to his sister and the strange butterfly attracting girl.

Amelia blink as Riley told her of the butterflies that lived forever as tree leaves or something. She couldn't recall (as little as she listened) anyone saying anything of the sort in there. She pushed it aside and decided to just leave it alone... best that way.
She let out a soft whinny the moment she noticed the girl unwrapping her tentacles. Her foot raised and pawed at the ground. Her ears shifted forward and were complete raised. She may not have been in 'form' but it was still instinct to act as such.
Amazingly enough the butterfly remained.
"What are you doing?" She finally asked.

Riley froze at the unexpected noise from the horned girl. That was, that was so cute ! " I wanted to pet you" she admitted, one tentacle mere inches away from the fidgety Amelia. The other girl might not be as fun as Ama just yet but she was certainly just as interesting as far as the bunny girl was concerned.
" Is she being bad?" Cole asked softly, the boy's eyes flicked between his sister and the strange girl as he spoke. Riley was always the one running up to people and talking to them even when they wanted her to go away. Not everyone wanted to be friends with them even if Cole himself didn't know why not.

"Pet me?" Amelia snorted. "I'm hardly petting material in this form but," and suddenly before the girls eyes she shifted into a Unicorn colt. She pranced in step, careful of her clothes that were now on the ground below her hooves. She leaned her upper half forward and whickered, "Just behind the right ear."
Victoria never had time to protest the shift from one thing to another. She just hid herself in what she was reading. She let out a soft, unheard to human ears sigh.
The butter fly landed on Amelia's horn and flapped its wings until steady.

Riley stared for point three seconds than launched herself at the small unicorn with a squeal of delight. The purple haired girl meant to wrap both her arms and tentacles around to keep this most awesome fluffy girl to keep her from escaping! Simple petting was not enough and Impulse control was something Riley sorely lacked.
Cole found himself just staring in awe, both at the girl's new form and the fact that the butterfly she'd had earlier seemed still interested. Did all unicorns have butterfly magic?
Perry choked as his daughter tried to tackle the other little girl-turned-unicorn. This was going to end in a lawsuit he just knew it. Yet the man was unsure how to interfere and if he even should just yet.

Amelia remained calm and perfectly still despite the fact she was being wrapped up like a package by the little girl and her arms and tentacles. She wasn't squeezing or trying to cause harm so she didn't feel there was reason to panic.
Her ears swiveled and her tail swished. She had a steady focus on the three. The girl, the boy, and the older man. She raised and lower a hoof.

Riley giggled as she breathed in the smell of the transformed girl and continued to hug her. " You're really nice and soft like this, can I keep you?" Oh but she would take the best care of the other girl and they could sleep together and everything!
Even Cole had to admit he wouldn't mind having such an interesting person in their house all the time, at least he didn't think he would. With that thought swirling in his mind the little boy walked closed and reached out to pet the former human shaped girl, was she really that soft?

"Keep me?" Amelia wickered and her ears flickered. She didn't like the sound of that one bit. And to further prove her inner feelings her front right hove raised and feel heavy to scrap against the ground.
The butterfly few up and around for a moment before settling once more on the horn.
Tori closed what she was reading and stood up. She decided that it was finally time to intervene- if it was to be called that. "Amelia who are your friends?" She asked politely as she approached the small group.

“You’re nice” Riley replied to Amelia’s question as if that explained everything. The bunny girl oblivious to the other’s dislike of the idea. Still, she released the transformed unicorn girl when a bigger girl approached. “I’m Riley” the purple haired girl introduced herself with a smile and the wave of a tentacle. “That’s Cole and dad.” The none waving tentacle had been relegated the job of pointing out her other family members.
Cole nodded at the newcomer then returned his attention to the unicorn before him once more. “ How comes it likes you so much?” he asked staring up at the butterfly that seemed unwilling to land upon anyone else.
“They weren’t going to cause any trouble,” Perry spoke up from where he stood nearby, watching the scene unfold. He might not parent the way his own folks had but he wasn’t going to let Cole and Riley become nuisances either, he just hadn’t seen any reason to stop what was happening or issue any warnings yet.

Amelia backed herself up until she bumped into her sister. She whickered as she tossed her head up and down. She was good at 'playing dumb' when she wanted to. She preferred to remain oblivious to the world around her.
The butterfly remained unphased by Amelia's movements... it was as if he never felt the movement.
"Riley, that is such a pretty name," Tori smiled and slowly knelt down. She knew she could be towering when it came to those younger than her... also she knew it would make Amelia feel more at ease. She glanced at Cole when he pointed that direction. "Such a fitting name for a strapping young lad," she winked.
"Oh, darling I know that," Tori said with a chuckle as she glanced over to the person Riley called dad. "You'll have to forgive Amelia... she takes to her form... a bit to the extreme," there was a small purr like sound to her voice.
Amelia snorted and flicked her tail. But suddenly as if nothing at all happened she whinnied and pranced in step. There was a slight caution to it but only because she knew her sister was behind her. "Me pretty!" She tossed her head up and down.

Perry laughed softly " I don't know much about unicorns except they like virgins and I think they can purify water," he shrugged. " I was never much for mythology as a kid."
"You're a fluffy, course you're pretty," Riley pointed out as if such a thing were obvious. As if to remind herself that she too was fluffy and pretty, the amber eyed girl reached up to pet one of her long floppy bunny ears.
Cole smiled tentatively back at the redhead, he liked that she'd gotten closer even if it still didn't answer his question about the butterfly. He reached out his hand for a shake, becuase hugging the pale girl would be weird, he didn't even know her. At the same time he wondered aloud "What's a virgin?"
