Once you learn all these things, you'll enjoy Pokemon even more I think. xd
It'll give you something else to work towards after defeating the E-4 and getting your stars for your Trainer Card.

I just got the 5 shiny leaves for my Typhlosion. xD It wasn't as hard as everyone made it seem. I thought it would take at least a couple hours. xD

As for battle tower... I haven't even thought of doing it...

Completing the national pokedex is the LAST thing on my mind. xD

but the noise lasts a lifetime.
