The green-haired betzazel was busy tearing up the living room, his usual sunshiny grin replaced with a distressed pout. “Where is it? I just had it...” BonBon murmured, pulling the couch cushion up above his head to look beneath it, yellow-green eyes peering into its lint-filled depths. The boy narrowed his eyes, scanning among the dark crevices for the familiar silvery glint of his penny whistle. He had to find it if he wanted to show his mommies the new song he'd taught himself!

Yellow eyes watched the boy a moment, the head that held them tilted to the side in curiosity. “Ni?” the little shadow inquired, toddling over to her older brother. “Nini ni nii?” Nini looked over BonBon's shoulder, into the mysterious cavern that was the living room couch. She then giggled, slowly shaking her head. “Ni. Ninini ni nini.” Silly BonBon, there were now shinies down there! She'd already raided the couch; it was the first stop on her daily shiny search, in which she gathered all the spare change a shadow could want.

“Hey Nini...” the boy said glumly, looking over to the little black jellowy blob of a child. He looked back to the couch, sighing and letting the cushion fall back into place. “Have you seen my flute-thingy? Coulda swore I left it in heres...you know, the silvery one with the Hello Kitty stickers on it?” It was a long shot, but hey, couldn't knock him for trying.

Hmm, shiny with a kitty sticker? The shadow paused, thinking and going over her mental list of collected shinies. When that, along with her memory, failed, the little shadow began sorting through her collection. Nini reached into her mouth, pulling out a gold ring. No, that wasn't it. The little shadow repeated the process, the pile of shinies growing besde her. In all, she produced eight rings, 28k in gold, 14 pennies, ten necklaces, 3 rolex watches, a plethora of pocket watches and lockets, five engagement rings, six wedding rings, four kitchen knives, an onslaught of keys, and a truckload of small, random metal bits and pieces. There was still more in the bottomless pit of a shadow, but she'd found the desired item.

“Ni!” Nini said proudly, holding the cheap aluminum instrument out to BonBon. She than begain to store her shinies once more, packing them away as she hummed to herself. The little shadow was simply glowing with pride; she'd found the missing item! She'd found the missing item! Nevermind that she was the reason it couldn't be found in the first place; what mattered was that she found it!

BonBon stared at the pile of stuff before looking back to the little shadow it came out of. The boy was quiet for a moment, simply standing there and holding the penny whistle. That was just so...so... “That's totally wicked!” the candy cane snake exclaimed, a grin spreading across his face. “How d'ya fit all o' that in you? Where'd you get all of that? That's totally awesome, Nini!'

Nini smiled, in a manner that could almost be described as smug. With a “Ni” that sounded an awful lot like “I know,”, the little shadow made her exit, toddling off proudly as she went back to hunting for shinies, leaving her brother to play the noisy shiny.
