I don't think any of us gave our mother enough credit. Sure, raising one is considered a piece of cake to those who don't have kids... When you have kids it becomes a whole different ball game.

Perhaps, it just that I ended up with a girl with attitude who thinks she can do no wrong. Sounds a lot like myself at one point or another- or any child for that matter. I just never realized how hard it could be to keep up with her...

And, now there are two children in the house! That Curio Shop... I should have never let that pendant catch my eye (my attention). I didn't even make it home with the item before 'obtaining' the 'prize'.

Lucifel. The bouncy green toddler whose luck never seems to end.

I'm not exactly sure how Victoria is taking to all of this. There is plenty of space in our home... And, plenty time that can be divided amongst the two children. I just worry because I want everyone to get along. I don't expect it all the time, but most of the time would be good.

With the exception of how demanding Victoria can be I never expected her to get into any sort of trouble... Other than the occasional curiosity killed the cat' moment. However, she's gone and shown an (extreme) interest for boys... One in particular. Kay- the shop owners son.

Sex education and defense lessons ahead. I just hope Lucifel doesn't show an interest in boys so soon... Maybe she'll wait till she is 50. I cannot ask that of Victoria... now... considering she's already showing an interest at the age of 10 1/2.

I can hardly wait till my brother finds out. I'm sure he'll declare that Kaida and me are rabbits... Especially if we keep visiting that Curio shop and coming home with an item every time... I wonder if ever item becomes a child...

I wish my mother was around to help me out.

Victoria had settled herself into the crook of the sofa with a book practically at her nose. Arithmetic- it was her least favorite thing to study. She sighed as she scribbled down something, scratched through it, and then wrote something else. Her page was messy but at least it all worked out in the end. She rubbed her temple before turning the page.

Victoria was not too startled when she felt a tug on her dress, or at least she did not show it. She looked over her book and down towards the floor. She was not surprised at all to see Lucifel’s- wearing her classic ear to ear grin.

“Up, up!” Lucifel gurgled and tugged her sister’s dress again. “Up, up!” As she stood on her tippy toes she stretched her arms upwards. “Up, up!”

Victoria tried her best not to roll her eyes. She knew it was not her sister’s fault that she sounded demanding. ‘Up’ was her favorite word, and about the only one she used. She sighed as she sat the book down. “Alright then,” she leaned over and took her sisters hands in hers. “Count of three…”

Lucifel gave a curious little look when her sister said count of three. Five seconds passed and she no longer cared. She grinned again. She was getting what she wanted and that made her happy.

“…1, 2, 3,” and, now they were both on the sofa.

“Whee!” Lucifel giggled and clapped her hands. Then with all her weight, she threw herself onto her sister and gave her the biggest hug she could. It was her way of saying thank you.

Victoria showed no signs that her sister’s weight had affected her as she returned the hug. “Silly,” she giggled- which in turn got them both to giggling until they were out of breath.

Lucifel sat there for a moment and looked her sister in the eyes- it more a look of curiosity than anything else. Finally, she leaned over and grabbed the book that Victoria had set aside. She then pushed it against her sister’s chest.

“You want me to read to you?” Victoria asked. Due to Lucifel not being able to form complete sentences just yet everything was a guess game. Although, it for the most part was not very hard to guess what she wanted because she normally pointed or handed it to you.

Lucifel’s grin got wider when Victoria guessed correctly.

“How about this one instead?” Victoria asked as she exchanged her study book for a more colorful one that sat on the table next to them. She was sure that the topic did not matter; it was just the fact of being read to.

Lucifel made no protest.

Victoria smiled and got them both settled and comfortable before opening the brightly colored book. “A is for apple,” she said. In addition, she took her sisters finger and traced the letter.

“A,” Lucifel mimicked. “A, a, a, a, a, a,” she was proud of herself for saying ‘a’ and it showed as she said it at least a dozen more times before Victoria shushed her so they could move onto the next letter.

“… and, lastly Z is for zebra,” Victoria tried her best to keep enthusiasm in her voice as she took her sisters finger and traced this letter just as she had done for the ones before. However, after an hour of reading the same book, just once, it was a little hard to do so. She readied herself for the string of ‘z’s’ to follow.

“Z, z, z, z, z, z,” Lucifel said promptly following the tracing of the letter. It was as if she was right on cue.

“A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z!" Feeling that she had really accomplished something Lucifel clapped excitedly.

Victoria was not exactly sure how her sister had pulled that one off. After all, they had only read the book once. ‘Perhaps it is luck, and not smarts,’ she thought to herself. She secretly did not want her sister to be as smart as her; however, she did not want a dumb sister either. “Good job,” she finally said and joined in clapping with her sister.

“Good, good!” Lucifel giggled and continued to clap excitedly. She was not exactly sure why this moment was so big or so important… She just knew it was. Especially since her sister had confirmed it by saying ‘good job’.

Victoria wondered if it would be that easy for her sister to learn her numbers one through ten that easily… She was not going to push it for now. Nevertheless, in the next day or two she would.

Lucifel having gotten what she wanted wiggled out of her sister’s lap and slid off the sofa. There were places to go, and things to explore!

Victoria shook her head and went back to her Arithmetic homework.

Boredom had set in. It was never a good thing to have Lucifel and boredom in the same thought, sentence... same anything. She looked around her room, and finally let out an exaggerated sigh. It was in that moment that she realized her room was too white, too dull, too neat, too everything... With that thought in mind, she ran out of her room.

She returned shortly with a container of green finger paint. How she’d found it was purely luck. Her parents had a knack for being good at hiding things, however, not so good since she came about.

She giggled mischievously as she dipped her green fingers into the green paint. She rubbed it between her fingers and for a moment thought about what she wanted to do with it. ‘Sissy pants pretty pictures… So, I can to!’ She thought to herself. What she had forgotten was that Victoria kept the paint on the paper and not everywhere else. This time she dipped her whole hand into the green finger pant and then ran for her wall. Smack! She stood back and admired the green handprint on the wall.

She clapped excitedly. Then she looked down and realized that both hands now had green finger pant on them. With that knowledge, she decided to press both hands against the wall. She repeated this several more times- until the paint wore off her hands.

She ran back over to the finger paint and dipped both hands in. Again she ran to the wall- unknown to her was the paint that was also now on the floor. She giggled as she smeared her fingers onto the wall. It took a couple of attempts before she succeeded in making an ‘L’. Feeling confident about her letter making skills she decided to move onto the next letter in her name.

She stood back and admired her work. L U C I F E L. It was clearly painted onto the wall. At least it was clear to her. She giggled. There needed to be more green ‘art’ on the walls. She ran for the paint once more before running over to another wall. This time she’d make clovers!

She had done about two clovers when Victoria poked her head into her room.

When Lucifel realized her sister was watching her she stopped. It was not because she knew she had been caught and was in trouble, it was because she was proud and wanted to show it off. Despite her hands still being covered in green finger paint she ran over to her sister grabbed her hands and dragged her into the room. “Look I art!” She giggled and clapped. She was very, very proud of herself.

Victoria was unsure of how to react. She knew her sister was expecting praise but at the same time she knew her sister was going to be in big, big trouble. Not only were the walls covered in ‘art’ but there were also drops of paint all over the carpet from where Lucifel had been running around.

Victoria was saved from answering as their dad came into the room to see what was so exciting. He their dad was coming in she scooted on out of the room. She wanted no part in the after math of her sisters art session.

“What have you gotten yourself into now little miss?” Vlad asked when he noticed Lucifel’s hands covered in green finger paint. Just from looking at her hands, he already knew the answer; he just wanted to see if she would tell the truth.

“I art!” Lucifel giggled and held up her green hands. “Like?” She asked. She still did not know that she had done anything wrong. After all, to her she had simply made her room less plan and in the process kept herself occupied since no one was able to play with her.

“I see,” Vlad said as he got a good look at what she had done to the walls. He was amazed at what she could accomplish in such a sort amount of time. He looked to Lucifel who was grinning ear to ear. He sighed. How could anyone get angry at her when she wore an expression like that.

Not that he knew it but it was Lucifel’s luck at work.

“Yes, I like your art,” Vlad finally said as he scooped Lucifel up. “I suppose you’ll want to leave it on the walls.” He barely had time to finish the sentence before she was clapping and nodding her head excitedly. “Alright,” he laughed. “But, we have to get the floor cleaned up.”

Lucifel looked down at the floor. She had not thought about the floor at all until he mentioned it. “Uh oh,” she said and covered her face with her hands. Now the green finger paint was on her face. “Sorry,” she mumbled through her fingers.

“Accidents happened,” Vlad laughed. If he could forgive Victoria then he could forgive Lucifel. At least paint on the floor wasn’t as serious as going out at night alone.

I don't know if it's the few hours she spent with Kay about a week or so back... or, our discussion but somethings changed. She's learning about priories and what's important in life. I just hope she doesn't grow up to much to soon.

There's this saying... When you've gotten settled into a routine, things are bound to change. Who ever said that wouldn't even know the half of how right they were.

Kaida brought home an item from that shop and like the other two it produced a child. Hand me the carrots because apparently I'm a rabbit. Enyo doesn't seem to be as much of a handful as Lucifel as far as hyperness goes. What you do have to watch out for is how mischievous she can be.

Thankfully, thus far everyone is managing to get along. However, Kaida and myself can see it plain as day how much those two get on Victoria's nerves. I think it more the sudden lack of quiet time she has now...

With the arrival of Enyo we decided it was to time to buy a house of our own. Requirements: At least eight to ten bedrooms, two to four bathrooms (because I am not about to fight with the girls just to use the bathroom), big fenced in yard, plenty of shade, and a pool (strangely Tori's request). I personally am hoping for a very large master bedroom...

They wonder why I am constantly pissed off... Wouldn't you be pissed to if you weren't getting any because of kids that didn't even require you to do the act to be born?

I have bestest friend! Her name Lilly but I call her LyLy! Her mommy Ms. Deli took us to pool. Den we had sleep over! We do all sorts stuffs together! Have lots fun- make mes too! She make me happy!

I got new sissy... Name Enyo. But we call her YoYo. She pretty and brightly colored. Looks like fun. Not sure... we see!

The last time Victoria had gone out was Thursday evening... with 'that boy' named Philip. Since then she had made little movement. She hadn't eaten and certainly let herself go. She was nothing at all like her typical self and she was far from sick.

It was now late Sunday afternoon.

In her lap was her journal.

Victoria
He picked me up in to fancy of a vehicle- a limo. It was black with white leather interior... very spacious. I'm a classy girl, but that is a bit to rich for my me.

His parents didn't come... he had a chauffeur. He never talks about his parents. I'm beginning to wonder if his parents even exist.

I'm again personal questioning his age. We both act older than our age... something about him says he has experience behind those actions.

Anyways his surprise outing was taking me to a charity ball. I didn't ask, didn't want to know the cost of those tickets. What is it about him and money. We have it but we don't flaunt it like him/them.

We danced to classical music. Ballroom dancing is very different from that 'dirty' dancing Evari and me did at my aunt's club...


The brief bit she had written had taken her a good couple of days. She'd done it in between her naps. Her hand writing wasn't her typical to fancy cursive that was so curly it was hard to read... it was scribble and messy and lifeless.

I feel as if I'm in a daze.

I don't know whether I'm going or going... or who i really am anymore.

I'm lost.

I'm scared.

Somehow I just know that when I see him again everything will be alright.


Those were the last things she had written (each about thirty minutes apart) and that had been at least a couple hours ago. She was beyond the point of knowing what was real and what wasn't...

The enchantress didn't know she had been enchanted by the enchanter.

"Sissy! Sissy!" Lucifel, who was standing directly in front of Tori was screaming at the top of her lungs, had gotten to response from her sister. She gave her a slight shake.

Tori turned her head and mindlessly smiled. "You want a story," her voice was monotone, lifeless, and hardly held its normal snappishness.

"No story. Me worried about you..." though Lucifel wasn't older or smarter than Tori or her parents she did know something was up even if she didn't know exactly what was up.

Aside from hearing that her sister didn't want to be read a story Victoria hadn't really even heard her sister. "Half an hour till he'll be here," she sighed.

"No go! Go with me! I take my pretty sister! Pick me not him!" Lucifel wrapped her arms around Tori. As frightened as she was it didn't show.

"It would be rude to cancel on such sort notice," Tori said as she returned the hug, in the process pulling her sister into her lap. Unlike Philip her sister was warm but both were inviting (Philip a little to inviting).

"I call! I say you sick!" Lucifel unlike Tori had no problem lying. She of course knew when to and when not to. It was that right place right time sorta thing... her luck. "You go with me!" She hugged her sister tighter.

Tori with empty eyes looked into her sisters. "Does it means that much to you." When her sister bobbed her head in a confirming manor Tori gave a small smile. "Alright then while you do that I'll get a shower and get dressed."

"Yip-E!" Lucifel giggled and hugged her sister tighter- if that was even possible. "Love you sissy! Love you lots!"

"Love you to," Tori giggled, however, it was pretty much lifeless. It was also as if she was sleeping in a waking state.

Lucifel scooted from her sisters lap and then pushed her off the sofa. "Shower! Gussy up!" She clapped and giggled.

"Okay," Tori said as she stood up. She looked her sister over before leaving the room. It was strange to felt this loved- this cared for by someone other than Philip.

Once Lucifel heard the shower she ran from the living room, down the stairs, and towards the cafe... It was the only phone. She knew that Uncle Rhine would understand and wouldn't mind her using it.
