How Victoria got sucked into taking her sister down the street to the book store was beyond her. If she had any other sibling but the one she had- maybe... but she didn't and this was the last thing she wanted to be doing.
Lucifel, giddy as always, skipped down the isles of the book store. The only time she liked books was when she was read to. This place wasn't going to read to her, so she didn't care about the books. She wanted to have fun!
"Stop it brat," Victoria huffed as she caught hold of her sisters arm. If she could just get her to be still- even if just for a second. "We are here to get you a new book," she said in hopes that that would calm her sister. After all she knew that her sister loved to be read to.
"I no brat!" Lucifel said with a pout. She didn't know what the word meant, but it didn't sound nice. She was nice so she knew that she couldn't be a 'brat'. "Book for me!" She giggled. Now her sister and this place had her attention.

There was a boy between two rows of books, crouched down and looking through them. Wynn was a bit young to be out unaccompanied by most standards, but that was okay. He lived nearby - within walking distance at least - and had decided to take his pocket money and explore.
He was, well, pink. With long black hair and curious blue eyes. On his lap was a glossy looking book full of pictures of foreign formal wear - things like kimonos - that told about the different designs and foreign significance of these.
Wynn glanced up from the book when he heard lots of noise coming from a green tot and a redhead at the end of the row. "Oh, hi there. Do you two need some help?" the boy offered in a friendly manner, though he didn't know more about this place than how to read the headings. Still, this girl seemed to be his age and having a bit of trouble with her kid sister.

Victoria let go of her sisters arm when she heard the boy ask if they needed assistance. To know who was speaking to her she turned around. Her turn was rather slow, almost apearing to be calculated. Every curl moved just perfectly. As her eyes settled on him she smiled and blinked very slowly- as if trying to attract attention to herself.
She tried to not look to shocked. That boy looked very, very familiar to someone she had met before. The only difference was that the colors were flipped and he seemed a good bit more confident.
"Hello," she said with a curtsy. "I'm sorry if we were making to much noise... She's just really an excitable child." She had to force herself not to call her sister a brat in front of a stranger.
Lucifel looked from behind her sister to the boy that had spoken to them. "He pink. He pretty," she grinned. "He can pick book with us," she giggled.
"We shouldn't bother him. He's not the stores hired help," Victoria said to her sister. She felt the boy was only offering help because it was the polite thing to do.
"Oh," Lucifel pouted.

"That's okay, I'm sure helping you guys won't be a problem. I was just trying to pick out a book to take home with me for my Mama and Dei." Wynn said, standing and indicating the glossy thing he was holding.
It might be a bit sad to note that the boy had totally not noticed the calculated attempts by Victoria to gain his attention - whether it was because he was just a silly boy or because he was very used to meeting people who did things like that (mostly people who visited for his Dad). He did smile brightly at both and offer his hand as he walked over however.
"I'm Wynn, nice to meet you both."

Victoria tried her best not not show disappointment at her failed attempts. It was still early on in the 'game'. And, at least he hadn't walked away when she had 'turned down' his help. Matter of fact he stuck around so that was a plus.
Instead of taking his hand and offering a firm handshake she raised her hand palm down to him. "I'm Victoria," she smiled.
Here sister was taking way to long to great this pretty pink kid. "I'm Lucifel!" She chirped as she watched her sister.
"Silly!" Lucifel giggled some more as she watched her sister and this boy interact. She was, at this rate, going to be one confused tot when it came to hand gestures... Everyone did it different.

Wynn blinked. Was he expected to kiss her hand? That was weird. He moved his hand back after a moment and awkwardly adjusted the book he was holding with his other arm.
"Yeah those are...those are um nice names."
"So um...what sorta book are you here for?" he didn't even know if he was stammering or repeating himself anymore. This was just so weird.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable," Victoria said as she lowered her hand. It was hard to read this boy. He looked extremely confident but acted other wise. She smiled innocently and politely enough.
"Lucifel what type of book do you want?" Victoria asked as she looked over at her sister. She had one of those 'well what do you want' looks.
"I want animal book," Lucifel chirped as she bounced from foot to foot. It was very hard for her to be still for more than a couple of seconds.

Okay good, they were getting back into familiar territory. "You like animals then?" he asked in a conversational manner, leaning down and smiling at the little girl. "Do you want a picture book about animals? Or do you want a big book about real animals?"

Lucifel looked at this boy that called himself Wynn and blinked a couple of times. A picture book or a real book. "Um..." She gave a confused look. "Sissy knows," she blurted out after a couple of seconds.
Victoria rolled her eyes as she laughed. "She prefers real books over children books... Blame me for that one since I am the only who reads to her the most."
"Yeah, what sissy said," she giggled and again started to bounce in place. "What you like?"

"Me? Well..." he thought for a second. What DID he like? "I kind of like mysteries." And romance novels - but he'd only ever read one of those before.
Leading them towards the more serious books, he found the section on animals and pointed it out to her. "Here you go. They're all about different animals. What's your favorite?"

"Have animal my-st-er-ies?" Lucifel asked with some difficulty (but she managed). She was a bit confused. She had asked about a favorite animal and had ended up with... well she didn't even know. Maybe that is why it was a mystery animal.
"I like fuzzy things," she said as she looked down the isle. All she saw was books and more books. They hardly made sense to her. "Up!" She wanted up to see all the books better.
"Alright," Victoria knew that if she refused they'd here up, up, up again and again till she complied. She bent at her knees and picked Lucifel up to rest on her hip. She was very mindful of her dress.

"What? OH! Sorry, I got mixed up. I thought you asked what kind of books I like." he said, blushing a bit and scratching the back of his head.
"I kind of like foxes." Wynn commented before looking over at both girls in confusion. "Huh?" why'd she need to be up.

"Foxes fuzzy?" Lucifel looked from Wynn to her sister. She was hoping to get an answer from her sister more so than Wynn. Wynn was so confusing.
"Yes, they are fuzzy," Victoria said as she carried her sister over to the shelves. "We have to look for the letter F. F for fox."
"F!" Lucifel giggled and clapped. Her excessive wiggling caused her sister to wobble a bit. She looked at all the books. "I see lots F's."

"Right well um, if that's all, I've gotta go." he said, and quickly made an exit to the front of the store to pay. He definitely needed to go talk to his parents before he next encountered girls - they were WEIRD!!

"We smell?" Lucifel asked when the boy rushed out of the store.
"No," Victoria giggled. "Boys are just silly."
"Silly boys," Lucifel parroted her sister to some degree. "Fuzzy fox book now peas."
"Okay," Victoria laughed.
