Victoria had barely managed to get her dressed zipped up, and stockings on before she was tripping out the door as she put her shoes on. That dream- no nightmare!
She didn't care about proper or escorts... It was all about now. Even though now was extremely late, or early considering how you looked at things. She didn't ask permission to go alone (they would have said no anyways). And, she didn't even think of leaving a note.
She ran as fast as she could down the streets. Her heart was pounding. It felt like it would beat right out her chest. She didn't stop as she pushed her hair out of her face.
She was drawn to the shop just as she had in the dream. Having only been twice it was still all so vivid. The doors were just in her view. She stopped just across the street.
Knowing she was a mess... That was an understatement. She took a moment to straighten her dress and fluff her curls. If she hadn't been in public she'd have pulled her stocking into place... But she'd deal.
She drew in a breath after checking the street for cars... And onward she marched. She just knew she wouldn't find the doors locked this time.
Despite her need to be here she looked as sweet and without a care as the first day she had come.

As always, Kay had joined Switch in the shop. It was a normal day; he played in the shop with Roxy and Gera, he ate lunch and dinner, he read a bit, wandered the town. The only thing that was different was that he had taken a nap...and didn't wake up until Switch was long gone. The Shaman was passed out on his stomach on the guest bedroom in the basement of the shop; the basement more or less belonged to the Gear family, the middle floor was the shop itself, and the upper floor currently belonged to the Ospice family...so it was okay for him to crash in the basement.
He woke up to a note from Switch, telling him to either come home if it's not too late, or to just stay here if it was too late. A quick glance at the clock told him it was about three in the morning...but he couldn't tell if that was early or late my his Na's standards.
Standing up, he fixed his cargo pants and headed upstairs, his bare feet going numb at the cold stone steps. Maybe if he went outside he could decide what to do! He unlocked and opened the front door of the shop, expecting to see it empty...however...
"...Tori?" The young man said in complete surprise, looking down at her with his red eye wide. "Whattcha doin here so late, eh?" He sounded completely worried; he couldn't think of a reason why a girl like Victoria would be out this early in the morning...

"You've gotten big," Victoria said as she twisted a finger in the ends of her curls. "It suits you," she said with a bat of her eye lashes.
"Late," Victoria said as she looked left to right. So, it was dark outside. She had a 'whenever' schedule. "Nope," she grinned innocently and looked him in the eye. She suddenly felt at ease.
"But, if it is late then why are you still here," Victoria put her arms behind her and rocked back and forth on her heals. She'd get to herself later. Right now she'd focus on him. It was all about the end result.

Kay grinned at her compliment, the grin growing a little wider when she batted her eyelashes at him. He was still fair naive, but he was starting to understand what that meant, and he was certainly starting to think about it. So far he just stayed in the door way, looking down at the girl who flirted innocently with him.
Somehow, he didn't believe her about not being out late.
"I fell asleep, was considerin goin home." Xbalanque was still looking at her, occasionally pausing to glance around the empty street. Switch always said it was dangerous at night, especially for girls... "Buuut It can wait, ya wanna come in? S'warmer." Said the practically always shirtless boy; like always, he was only wearing pants, despite the vague chill. "'An Na said girls shouldn't be out this late alone." He repeated like he was reading a boring rule from a textbook; he didn't see the novelty in it, but if Na said it was right...
He stepped aside to let her in, holding the door open for her.

"I tried to sleep," Victoria pouted. "Didn't turn out so well," she sighed and again twisted a finger in the ends of her curls.
Now that she had calmed down considerably she was starting to feel the chill of the night air. "I'm not alone anymore," Victoria whispered with a wink. She remember how much he had liked that before. She stepped inside. Her dress unintentionally brushing against him. "Thank you."
"I'm glad your here," there was relief in her voice. "The last time I came... the doors were locked," as she spoke she slowly spun around so that she could face Kay while she talked. She knew he would be a minute with the door.

"Nightmare?" He asked curiously, watching her walk past him, feeling the dress brush against him. Well...she had a point, with him here she wasn't alone anymore, but still. Out there? She technically still was. Victoria was inside and Xbalanque closed the door, locking it like it had been previously. For all intents and purposes the shop was closed, but in the name of helping a friend, it was open.
"Eh, you're welcome?" Kay said with a shrug, not sure why she'd want to see him of all people; not that he was complaining, he always did like meeting up with friends. "Last time? Y'make a habit of comin' at night? Prolly why it's locked...closed." He teased and nodded to the open and closed sign; from this side it said open, but to the public it said closed. He leaned his dark skinned back against the now locked door, looking down at her while she looked up at him.
"Wanna drink? Comfortable place to sit? Or do ya wanna just stand here?" The young man offered; oh, he was going to ask what the matter was, but he didn't want to have them both stand there for a long time. The bottoms of his feet were still in the process of healing...standing for long periods of time was irritating, but not overly painful.

"Silly," she said with a giggle. "It was day light last time I came. I met a girl at the doors... Her name was Faris."
"Nightmare is an understatement," Victoria sighed as she glanced down at the floor. She fidgeted with her dress for a moment. "Someone stole my violin she whispered... Said I couldn't have my family... my friends... my life... anything unless I found a few odd objects." She looked up at Kay. "I was so scared. I've been so angry at my dad lately..." She knew he hadn't asked what was wrong but it was suddenly all spilling out. Not that she had kept it in that long...
She hadn't finished yet, but it had dawned on her that he'd asked her if she'd like a seat and something to drink. "Yes, I'd love something to drink and to sit down," she smiled. She wasn't about to admit that her legs and lunges were aching from the running.

Oh. There was only one day that would have been...and wow, she met Faris? Faris was awesome! He was about to comment, but Victoria seemed to be spilling her guts to him, metaphorically speaking. So he shut himself up and listened to her. That...would have been quite the nightmare, indeed! Still leaning back against the door, he lifted his arms to fold them across his chest.
Kay pushed off of the door when she admitted to being scared and angry, quickly closing the distance between them to give her a hug. A bear hug was more like it, giving her a bit of a squeeze and momentarily petting her soft red hair. "You're awake now, it's okay." He told her quietly, hoping to calm her down like his Na always calmed him down when he had nightmares.
After a moment he let go of her, stepping back to instead take her hand, leading her to the basement where he had previously been napping. Most of the doors were closed and there were boxes piled here and there, but one room was open, and that was the room he led her too. It had a bed, a couch, a TV and a mini fridge...pretty much everything you needed to crash for a night. "Sit where ever, mkay? Water good, or didja want pop?" He offered, letting go of her hand to dig through the mini fridge.

Victoria leaned into his bear hug. Though slightly tighter than she preferred she loved the comfort it gave. Her head tilted upwards at his touch. She sighed contently. What was it about Kay that could calm her down this much, this quickly.
Before she had time to say anything he was taking her hand in his and leading her out of the shop and down some stairs. Her eyes darted all over the place. Curiosity mostly. Finally they were in the room that looked like a home away from home... "Cozy," she whispered.
"Water please. Pop has sugar and I'm not extremely fond of sugar," she said with a smile. She sat down on the edge of the bed- it looked more comfortable than anywhere else. It was something about the messy covers that made it inviting. She looked over to Kay, and for some reason or another her cheeks turned pink. This was slightly awkward but comforting.
"I shouldn't have burst out like that earlier..."

"Very." Kay agreed eagerly, nodding his head enthusiastically. "I stay here lots, very cozy. Not as good as my own room, but good enough." He grinned, watching her sit down on the mess of a bed. When he had fallen asleep he hadn't slept under any blankets...but when he had fallen asleep, the bed had been made. Which meant he moved around a LOT in his sleep.
"No sugar, eh? I love sugar." Grinning, he picked up a bottle of water and tossed it lightly in her direction, figuring she'd either catch it or just pick it up. Either way, she'd get it. He opened a can of pop himself, taking a swig before flopping to sit down on the edge of the bed beside her, stretching his feet out infront of him, knees apart and leaning back on one hand. Like always, he was the perfect picture of relaxation and comfort. "Ahh, s'okay, you need to vent you need to vent, yeah? I've got big ears, I can listen real well." Kay laughed, pressing his hands (can of pop and all) to his ears, wiggling his fingers like his ears were massive...really they weren't, but it was all in good fun.
"You can keep talkin' till you feel better, okay?" He offered, leaning back to prop himself up on an arm.

Vitoria knowing him to be the competitive type decided it was best to catch rather than to pick up the bottle. Though she would have done much better at picking up than catching. As her catching skills made her look clumsy as she fumble around to secure the bottle in her hands. "Thank you," once secure in her hands she grinned innocently enough.
"There is sugary treat that I absolutely cannot do without," now not having to pay attaching to catching anything could focus on Kay. She turned just enough to be facing inward. She was extremely careful and picky about the position of her dress as she moved. Her eyes where quick to find his. "Chocolate covered strawberries. I'll bring by sometimes," she licked her lips playfully.
"You doing that reminds me of those pictures of elephants. You know they say they never forget," Victoria associated this to be a good thing. It meant she could trust him. She twisted a finger in the ends of a curl.
"My dad's a lady that wants to be a guy. I've been so angry at him lately that I haven't even been home or seen him or my mom in a good week... maybe week and a half. I haven't really cared to count," Victoria sighed. Though her sudden low she still moved to attract, however, she was unaware of it.
"I don't care about that really. It is the fact that he lied to me... It's all about trust. I'm so scared. And, then that dream. I don't know what I'd do if I lost him, you, or anyone for that matter," she stopped twisted her fingers and rested her hands in her lap. "But, how do you forgive someone who has lied to you? Especially when it is your parent... The one person you should be able to trust above all else."

Kay nodded to her thanks, then pondered over the chocolate strawberries. "Never had 'em before." The young man informed her, watching her nitpick at herself. "Na doesn't like chocolate but she loves strawberries...so I've had a lotta strawberries, not a lotta chocolate. Would love t'try it your way though." How could you go wrong with two things that tasted so good?! You couldn't, that's how. Still grinning at her comparison to an elephant, the young man settled in to listen to her. Though she did have his attention, occasionally his gaze would wander, looking over her, the room, or just staring into space.
The way Victoria included him wasn't missed, and a tiny smile twitched the corners of his lips.
"Hmm." He murmured quietly once she was finished, putting his now empty can on the ground. Then he leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "I'dunno your situation outside'a whatcha told me." He slurred a bit; apparently his speech got worse the more tired he became. "But...I'unno, did he ever say 'I'm your Dad'? Or did he lettcha come to your own conclusions and never corrected yeh?"

"Next time I come I'll be certain to bring those chocolate covered strawberries with me," Victoria grinned before going serious again.
When Kay questioned her about being told her parents gender or guessing it she started to think back. The deeper she was in thought the slower she breathed. She was nearly entirely still. The night she came into existence it was dark, and everything happened so fast before she was clothed and tucked into a bed... "I only asked him my name," she finally said. "I suppose if I assumed and he never corrected me that is how he wants it to be... So, I guess that means he never really lied to me then." She had a curious look on her face, as if the thought she'd just had was to huge to comprehend.
Finally she snapped out of that look and grinned. Not wanting her feet to dangle off the edges anymore she scooted further into the bed and tucked her legs. Her torso twisted enough that it put her at somewhat of an odd, but interesting angle. "I've been silly haven't I?" She asked as she stretched out her arms to support herself as she laid her head on his shoulder. Her red curls spilled over her shoulders and covered her face, pink cheeks included. It was a completely innocent gesture even if it didn't come off that way.

"Punishment game if you don't." Kay threatened with a grin, of course not specifying the TYPE of game. Like most things, you failed to complete it and you had to do something else in exchange...it was a fun little thing he learned on Gaia, and watching TV.
Kay still watched her as she thought about his question, listening to her figure it out himself and even going to far as to laugh when she leaned against him, worrying about being silly. "Yeah, just a bit." He told her flat out, reaching out to pat her hand with his darker, scarred one. "Totally understand why though...still, being a little silly." With a hum he tilted his head to lean it against hers, luckily Nahual was asleep in his hair. "People keep things secret 'cause it's easier, or 'cause they wan'it that way, or 'cause they don'wanna hurt you. S'long as he didn't say 'I'm your Dad', he didn't lie, just wanted it that way." Kay shrugged only one shoulder, as to not disturb her.
"Speakin'a your Chit, you should prolly give 'im a call, so he won't go all worried like. Okay?

Victoria really didn't want to move. She wanted to sit there in the comfort of a friend. She didn't exactly what it was about this particular moment but something about it made it different. Refusing to be, or let it be know that she was tired she swallowed her yawn.
In all of her stillness she was in thought over Kay's final words. Not that he could see it but she was smiling. She just hoped that there wouldn't be any more 'secrets' to suddenly surprise her. "I guess calling and letting them know where I'm at would be the thing to do... I wonder if my aunt even realizes that I'm gone?" The last question was more of a spoken thought.
Finally she slowly raised her head, and pushed back her curls. Her expression held experience yet innocence. It wasn't a look she could control just yet- it was just something that happened. "Thank you," she giggled before leaning up and kissing him on the cheek.
