Lazing About, Roll Style

As was his plan when he'd talked with Kay, Roll had headed back to the beach and stayed there for a couple more days. The one rain storm seemed to be the only one in store for a time which allowed for the somewhat lazy man to do what he did best and that was soak up the sun he so loved and enjoyed the conditions that were perfect for a bit of surfing as well. He wasn't exactly God's gift to humanity as he was a hedonist, the sort that enjoyed himself to the fullest and didn't worry about struggling to make a living. He was about the opposite of his Father who seemed to take everything to seriously, was a bit of a grouch, and quite strict as well.

Roll was currently laying sprawled out on his board, eyes closed, and might or might not be sleeping, a bit hard to tell unless one were up close to him. He gave a sound somewhere between a groan and a snort, jumped, and then slowly sat up, rubbing a hand against his eyes, "Hrm...? The hell?" That was a strange dream he thought to himself as he looked from side to side, then reached over to scoop up his watch the check the time. Three in the afternoon, eh? Hrm... he wondered if that meant Kyata would be off work... that would be cool, he needed to go and meet with him, see if he could score a shower and a place to camp for the night. While he preferred sleeping under the stars on sun warmed sand he also loved being around his friend, even if the guy was a bit high strung. He would definitely see about that.

He had time before he would get rolling in that direction so for now he might as well see about a swim, he'd be able to rinse off all the sand that was currently stuck to him and had him feeling a bit itchy. Of course rinsing in the ocean was a temporary solution as it resulted in being covered in salt when the water dried. He could always hike down the beach a ways to make use of the public shower area, that place made him camping in the area so easy. As did all the vending machines that were within walking distance. His life as a vagrant was made quite easy by such things. He pushed up to his feet and set to work emptying his pockets, setting everything down in a nice, neat pile on his folded up shirt, set his shoes next to it, all lined up on the surf board, before he started down toward the water's edge.

There was a large splash as he dove in, swimming along the bottom before he resurfaced a ways out. He lifted a hand up to push his hair away from his face, working on straightening it out with the help of the water when he caught sight of something... odd. Hard to tell from a distance, especially with the sun's light reflecting off the surface of the water but it looked as though there were someone messing around with his things. Geez! Seriously, that was just pure fail on the part of whoever it was, really... who went around trying to steal for a guy like Roll? He gave a grumble as this meant he would have to do something about it to make sure that his things were left where they belonged. He started to stride forward out of the water, shaking off like a dog when he reached the edge of it, "Hey! You! What you think your doing!" He demanded as he approached a rather strange looking creature that was sitting on his board, fiddling with his watch.

He wasn't sure why but the kid looked somehow familiar, not him exactly but more like his colors... where had he seen that shade of blue before?

Go With The Flow

Roll wasn't a fool. He knew how he'd come into the world and he'd heard how his little brother Ashton had come into the world, so looking down at the boy that was sitting all coiled up on his surf board and then over to the dull and lifeless scale that Kay had given him... well it was obvious what was going on. He tilted his head to one side before he reached a hand out to pat him on the head, "So... it would seem that I was tricked. Pretty slick of Kay to do." He murmured, here he'd thought the kid was just being nice in giving him such a gift but it would appear that he was looking for a home for this scaly creature at the same time. He found himself debating upon what he should do next... he wasn't exactly one who would win 'Father of the Year' awards... then again his father wasn't all that grand either and he'd raised not one, but two kids of his own. If Crevan could raise children surely Roll could too or at least that was the logic.

The kid starred up at him with the strangest colored eyes he'd ever seen before barring sharp teeth in what he was sure was supposed to be a smile. Any odd looking thing that was for sure... and yet he couldn't bring himself to dislike him in any manner. Not exactly what one would consider to be 'cute' but he had a very unique look. He reached a hand out to ruffle his hair, "At least we don't have to worry about finding you some clothing, that's a bonus." He told the boy, nothing better then that he thought to himself, no clothing meant saving money that Roll had only so much of due to his lifestyle.

The boy nodded in agreement, he looked over the clothing that Roll wore and instantly decided that he didn't think that he would like it very much. It looked far to clingy to him. Besides what need did a dragon have for clothing when they were covered in scales? He pushed up onto his coils as he starred up at Roll, stomach giving a bit of a rumble, "I'm hungry." He declared, his first words and it would appear as though he already wanted something from the blond man that was his guardian.

The words were met with a long silence from Roll before he finally gave a nod of his head, "Hrm... alright, come on then. Lets see if we can find something for us to eat. I have to admit I am feeling a bit like I could eat an ocean full of fish myself." He told the snake boy. He set to gathering all of his things up then motioned to the boy, "Come on. Lets see what we can find for ourselves to eat." He had a few bucks on him from a few chores he'd done earlier in the week, he could easily afford a meal for the two of them... though given the size of the boy he'd be smart in going with all you can eat types of meals to start since he didn't know how much the snake could put away.

It would appear that despite the way he appeared that Roll was in no way effected by it, it was strange but given how Gaia worked it was... normal for a child to pop up in strange ways. He was a go with the flow sort and that was what he was doing now, just going with it.

Meeting with Arlen: Part One

(( Done with Naggy via AIM ))

Tireu was so very surprised that the claw that he had gotten has turned into a kid, as that was something very new to thim as he knew how kid came about back home but this was just so different to him and he sorta freaked out about it. But after he got use to it and got Arlen all settled into one of the rooms in the house. He didn't have any regrets that his treasure turned into a kid and thought it would be fun to raise one and give the kid a better childhood than he did.

It was a very nice day and Tireu thought it would be a good day to go to the beach and get some fun, tho Tireu wouldn't get in the water as he didn't like water all that much, but Arlen was excited to go out and explore new things and maybe get to nom a few people as long as they didn't run away from him in fear. Both of them walked onto the beach with Tireu carrying all of the stuff and once finding a nice spot setting down a large beach blanket. "Now you go and have some fun but don't stray too far Arlen," Tireu said as he sat down on the blanket. "Ok I won't," Arlen replied as he ran off to look at things.

It was the color that drew Leviathan's attention to begin with, he'd surfaced from the ocean that he'd been swimming about in though just to the point where his eyes were above the water. He peeked from side to side and then blinked. What have we here? The first thought to come to mind as he saw the pretty creature who was instantly liked due to that color. Leviathan himself as well as the ocean he loved were blue as well so this new creature was instantly given points for that alone. He ducked back under the water, sinking down to the ocean floor, and swam along closer to the shore so that he could get a better look at the new comer. He didn't often interact with guys since in mind everyone was filed under the categories of 'princess', 'knight', 'false princess', 'peasant', and 'Roll' who got his own category as he was the guardian and as such someone Levi liked regardless of what he was.

And Roll himself was currently laying on his surf board at the edge of the water, feet in it, arms crossed behind his head as he soaked up the sun. The lazy man appeared to be asleep though really he was just resting his eyes, enjoying the sounds and smells of the beach and the wind coming in off the water. This place was his utopia and as such where he was the most comfortable.

Arlen thought that the beach was fun but a little boring as he knew his guardian was just going to lye there soaking up the sun until hunger set in, but Arlen wanted to play and thought the water looked cool enough. So he wandered near the waves and played in those of a little bit as then he saw some rocks that he could get onto as he wanted to see what was in the water and if there was something he could play with. Arlen got excited when he found a tidal pool with lots of interesting creatures in there and poked a few of them. He did wonder if there were more like these things in the larger water. So he jumped from rock to rock as soon as he got close enough to the water he squatted down to get a better look into the water.

Levi gave a bit of a grin as the one he was stalking seemed to be coming to him. This was going to prove to make life so much easier which, he'd learned from Roll, was a wonderful thing. While the dragon child wasn't nearly as lazy as the blond man he still could appreciate his prey coming in closer so that he would be able to pounce more easily. The serpent shifted him, gathering up his many coils to himself and let them settled to the bottom of the water under him so he could bunch up and readying himself... then with a rather dramatic roar, because those were call for in this situation for a dragon, he came up out of the water to pounce the shiny blue creature.

Arlen's eyes got very big when he saw that there was something coming out of the water fast and roared. Which startled Arlen as he tried to back away as he was crouched but only manged to sip on the rock and fell backwards as the other pounced him and he meeped. "Don't eat me I taste back,"

Leviathan looked rather startled as the one that he had pounced on spoke. That was unexpected... he tilted his head to one side and then grinned a toothy grin that showed off many sharp teeth. The end of his tail swished a bit before he lifted up a bit, gazing down at the one he was laying on and then laughed, "Naw, dragons only eat princess and knights you know." As well as the food at an all you can eat buffet but that didn't sound nearly cool enough so he left that part out, "Are you either of those?"

Arlen was tried hard not to show how scared that he had been as he opened his eyes to see that it was someone that sorta looked like him or at least was blue colored. Arlen sheepishly grin showing off a few of his teeth but didn't know what to think as he did want to nibble the other to see what he tasted like. "Oh," thinking for a second as he tryed to think about what was asked. "No, I'm a raptor," he answered as he would have shown the other his claws but being on top of them and Arlen didn't want to hurt the other either so stayed still.

Leviathan seemed to think that over, looking for a moment thoughtful then shook his head, "Dragons don't eat those." He said, as though finally deciding upon that information. Mostly because he couldn't recall any instances of it happening that he knew of, "I suppose that means I can release you... though only under one condition." He held up one finger in front of Arlen.

Arlen was very glad that he wasn't going to be eaten as it has been just as scary to see his guardian transform into a dragon but looked very different that this one that was on top of him. But then he was told that there were many different type of dragons too when he had asked Tireu about it. Listening to what the other said. "And what would that condition be," he asked puzzled?

That this being called 'raptor' was listening made the water serpent quite pleased and he would have clapped his hands if they weren't keeping him up and from falling over at the moment, "You must join me in my battle! I could used a second set of hands and that your hands have claws makes them useful against my many enemies." Perhaps 'many' was an exaggeration but he really had no idea how many knights were out there waiting for a chance to slay him as they did with dragons!

Thinking for a second as it did seam fun to battle these 'knights' as he could meet all different type of people that he could nom just to see how they tasted or see there reactions and if they would let him nom them. "Ok as that sounds like fun and I do have foot claws too and I also like to nom on people too if that is useful," he said as smiled and thought of the little trophies he could get from those he nomed and those were mostly little bits of ripped clothing.

Leviathan seemed pleased by his answer as he shifted then pushed up onto his coils, settling down on them in a lazy manner, "Good to hear." He said, looking the raptor over and took in all his many weapons as well as his prettier features like his feathery tail. He rather liked the looks of this one, looked strong and interesting he thought to himself, "Since you come with your own weapons and decorations I think I will assign you the title of being my 'general'." He told the raptor, "What do you think?"

Once the other was off from on top of him, Arlen sat up and wiggled his toes a little to make sure that they wouldn't fall asleep. He also looked the Dragon boy over as he liked how he was all tail as it was something very different and neat at the same time and he also wanted to nibble the other too but was trying to stay polite from what his guardian has told him that his noming wasn't polite and that he wouldn't make friends if he did that. Arlen cocked his head to the side when he made refrence to his feathers as decorations as he giggled a little as the other was right they could be decorations that his body made for him. "I think that is cool, anyways I'm Arlen," he said with a smile.

"Arlen." Levi murmured, filing the name away in his head along with the title that he had bestowed upon him, "Alright, then Arlen. My name is Leviathan." He told him, holding out a hand in a gesture that he had seen people use before called a 'hand shake', it wasn't something Roll ever did since the man had no idea what manners were and Levi saw no use for them most of the time either but for now he would do it as he had drafted this raptor to his side.

He nodded as it was a name he was given and it was something he liked and treasured just like the stones he was starting to collect like his guardian, tho none that were as cool as Tireu's stones. "Its nice to meet ya Leviathan," he replied as he took a hold of Levi's hand to complete the handshake and gave it a shake and careful not to scratch his new friend with them.

Leviathan nodded his head, yes... he was an awesome person to meet, wasn't he? He swished the end of his tail again, "So, Arlen. What brings you to my ocean?" He asked, as though this section of ocean was really his. He was a bit on the territorial side when it came to the places he liked and Roll had never bothered to correct this behavior.

"Well I had not to long ago woken up from my long sleep and was told Tireu that this was a beautiful place to be on a nice day, but I think that he just wanted to bask in the sun on the beach as he doesn't like water all that much. But since I had never been to the Ocean I thought it would be a great place to experience something new to me," he said Arlen got back onto his feet.

"Ohhh." He murmured, finding the reasoning behind why he'd come to be interesting enough, "I was born on this beach." He said in a happy manner, as that was technically what it was like to come forth from the item that Roll had been gifted with. He looked out toward the water then back at Arlen again, "You really should try playing in the ocean, even if your Tireu doesn't like it I think its great fun." Though he was a water type and even able to breath under water so it was pretty obvious why he liked the ocean himself.

"That is cool! I was born nestled with lots of very beautiful rocks in the house I live in," he answered as he thought of the room filled with all different type of stones of all different sized. As Tireu had moved his item from were it was in the beginning to were he displayed all of his most beautiful stones in his collection. "That sounds like a lot of fun! Tho I don't know how to swim yet. As this is the first time I have seen so much water in one place." Arlen said as he did find the Ocean beautiful.

Leviathan's eyes got wide at the mentioned of where Arlen was born and he gave a happy sound much like a purr, "Beautiful rocks?" He asked, curious about them. He rather loved pretty trinkets himself and had gone about collecting some of them already. They were sitting in a neat pile along with Roll's stuff over by where the man was camping out, it was a dragon's prerogative to find treasures and bring them together in large hordes. What he was currently looking for was a lair, he needed one of them! He had a few ideas so far but had yet to find the 'perfect' place though.

"Oh? I can try to teach you, I was born with the ability though I am not sure how... I just knew how to swim." He said, puffing up in a proud manner.

"Yep," Arlen answered as he took one of the stones out that was a tan coloration in layers that if shaped right looked like an eye. "I was told that this stone is called a 'Tiger's eye'" he added as he handed it to Levi to get a closer look at it. It was just a small part of his collection of stones that he had in his room. "That would be cool if you would and be lots of fun. All that I know is to hunt and that I can run really fast."

"Ooooo." He said, eying the stone and felt the urge to snag it and run... but stealing from those in his group wasn't a good idea, it was how one got betrayed when their allies were most needed after all. He gave a smile, "Very pretty." He complimented the stone, able to resist the desire.

"Come on then, lets go!" He said, turning around and slithered forward into the water, submerging himself all the way to get his scales wet again the way that he liked most before he surfaced a short way out in the ocean and waited.

Arlen had to smile as he could see that Levi did like the stone and he thought of another one that he might like even better. "It is, but I have a better looking one at home that I can give you. Its similar to this one but blue in color," he said as he put the stone in his hoodie pocket as he was taking it off were he could go swimming. "Ok," he replied has he was having a little trouble getting the hoodie over his head. Once freed from the hoodie as he was already wearing swimming trunks and headed for the edge of the water and looked down at it before he put a toe in to test the water. Finding that it was ok he walked into the water to were Levi was waiting.

Levi gave a pleased sound when Arlen said that he had a stone that he would give to him. It was only right that offerings were given up him he thought in a happy manner, it was good to be the leader! He watched as his friend came into the water and he rose up on his coils and kept close to Arlen to make sure that the raptor didn't get into any trouble while they were practicing, "Alright, first thing you need to do it get used to the water." He told him, remembering that Roll always had to do that when he first got in.

Meeting with Arlen: Part Two

(( Done with Naggy via AIM ))

Levi gave a nod of agreement, "Well... that's probably true, I am mostly tail after all." He said, the end of it giving a little swish before he gave a toothy grin, "But still your tail might be a little helpful since its still existent. Will worry about it later though." He gave a wave of one hand that said it currently wasn't super important, "Now the next part is being able to... well for you kick your feet as well as paddle at the same time. Being brave as well since you need to just jump in and start swimming!" He was enthusiastic about the idea if nothing else...

"Don't worry about going under, the water is shallow here so you should be able to push yourself back up to the surface." And he would help out if his help were needed, he couldn't let his general drown after all.

Arlen gave a nod at he information as he did know that his tail was great for balance when he ran and to help him change directions on a dime. "Ok," he said as he was gathering up the courage to do so and went a little deeper to were he could just touch the bottom on his tippy toes and gave it a try. It took him several tries and a good dunking under the water, but after several tries he started to get the hang of it and to jump up and down to also stay afloat in the shallow water. "Well at least this is a start and with more practice I can be better at swimming," he said with a grin on his face.

"Good job!" Levi praised his Raptor General as he watched him as he slowly got the hang of swimming, he wasn't perfect yet but the potential to be a good swimmer was there and it had him smiling in a delighted sort of manner. He didn't never thought of teaching someone anything before so this was a triumph on his part as well as on Arlen's part. It was truly a good day he thought to himself as he grinned happily, "Will be fun being able to swim with someone other then Roll. He can be so lazy so getting him to do anything is tough work, even for someone like me." Even for a great dragon like Levi getting Roll to do anything was still a chore... damn, lazy human...

"Thanks, I have to do you proud," he replied as he swam around, as it was lots of fun and a good new experience for himself and in meeting a new friend too. "It will be lots of fun as, Tireu is no fun when he get wet. But its fun to get him a little wet and see it steam of his body tho," Arlen said as he remember the first time he had done that on accident as it was fun to watch.

Levi lifted an eyebrow at the mention of the guy steaming when he got water on him, "Ahhahaha... that sounds funny." He said, grinning brightly, how much fun would it be to see that guy get hit by a wave of water? Would he end up making a whole cloud of steam if he did? How funny would that be?

"It was funny, but he wasn't happy about it, but then shrugged it off and then finished to what he was doing," he replied. "So what are other things that you do?" Arlen asked as he was wondering to what other did for fun to see if he would like them too. As it has been 20 questions to Tireu to what he liked when he arrived as he wanted to know.

He found himself debating upon finding something to carry water in to dump it on this person called Tireu... but instead he turned to look at Arlen, giving him a bright smile, "I do all the fun things my kind are supposed to do!" He said in a happy manner, "I kidnap princess and fight with knights! Though... I've yet to find a real princess but I will keep looking." He murmured, lifting a finger up to tap it against his lower lip in a thoughtful manner.

"Well then I will kept an eye out for both for ya," he answered but he really didn't know what princess and knights were. That would have to be something that he would have to ask Tireu sometime or do some research on his own to make sure he knew all that he was supposed to know, just like Levi.

Levi seemed quite pleased by this if his grin were anything to be believed. He gave a little clap of his hands before sinking under the water and started to swim in lazy circles around Arlen. He was in a wonderful mood at the moment, deciding that it felt good to have a second which gave him someone to rely on. Deep down, he wasn't sure why, he felt that this was important, that he needed someone to protect his back else a knight could appear to take his head... the lot of them were violent and dangerous, worse then the dragons they hunted who only stole princesses for fun and before it got lonely being a dragon as they weren't understood well.

The water serpent wasn't sure where these thoughts were coming from, just a deep down knowing feeling that perhaps resonated from his dragon's blood.

Arlen just smiled when saw how happy Levi was and thought it was good feeling as he like to make other happy and in turn made him happy. He also like to swim as it was something different and fun, but the one thing he truly loved was to run around to feel the breeze in his hair and to kill little furry creatures with his claws.

If Levi were a mind reader he would likely find himself liking Arlen that much more given the thoughts that were going through the Raptor General's mind at the moment. Instead he continued his lazy laps around Arlen until he caught the sound of a familiar voice calling his name. He blinked the surfaced, looking over to where Roll was standing, waving an arm to get his attention, "Bah... what does that human want..." He muttered as he looked up at Arlen then started to swim toward the shore where the blond was standing.

All Arlen could do was smile as it was funny how Levi call Roll a human. But he just follows Levi to shore as he was getting a little tried of swimming for one day, but he make a promise with himself that he would practice his swimming. Once to shore he shook out the water from his hair and tail.

Roll glanced over at the raptor kid that was following after Levi before giving him a smile, "Well now, aren't you a Epicly cool sort of dude." He said to Arlen, finding this one to be rather awesome to behold, "You sure found a neat friend, Leviathan."

There was a nod of agreement from the dragon boy, "He is the General of my army, I gave him a promotion." He explained, so that Roll would know that he wasn't just a friend but someone important in his war against the knights! He crossed his arms over his chest and looked generally pleased with himself, something that amused Roll to no end as the boy looked to be in such a devious mood despite being sopping wet. A feat only Levi could pull off.

"Well then, we are gonna get rolling to get some food. Have you gotten your friend's number and address yet?"

"Feh, foolish human. As though I could when we were in the water." He grumbled.

Roll starred down at him, chuckled, then patted him on the head, "Alright, alright... touche." He said as he reached down, rifling around through his bag to get out a worn notebook and a pen to hold out to Arlen.

"Thanks," he said to Roll as he shook his head one more time to get as much water out before starting to make sure it did fluff out as it dried. As he stood there he thought maybe later a little run would get him dry he thought and nodded to when Levi mentioned him to be his General another think that he would have to look up to what it was all about. Arlen just had to giggle as he took the pen and notebook and wrote down his information and handing it back to Roll. "Thanks for teaching me how to swim,"

The water serpent nodded his head, "Heh, no problem. Its something that is a lot of fun to do so I was glad I could help show you how." He told him, grinning in a toothy manner and watched as the book with the important information taken by Roll. The man in turn wrote down their names and a small list of places that they were normally found as well as his Father's number in case the kid wanted to contact them since they didn't have a phone of their own with the two of them living more often then not right here on the beach.

"Here you go." Roll said, handing the paper over.

Smiling as it had be lots of fun as he took the information that was given him. Normally he would just put that type of information in his pocket but being currently wet he folded it up a little and held it in his hand tightly. "Thanks. I had lots of fun today. So I will see you laters," Arlen said as he gave a grin and a smile as he zipped off to get all dry.

The Lord and the General: Part One

(( done via AIM with Naggy ))

Arlen once again told to go outside to play as Tireu was busy with the job he had just gotten on refreshing his memory with all the information he would need to do the job tomorrow in appraising different type of stones to what there value are and he just loved that job as stones were one think in life that he loved besides Arlen, but he did have to admit that Arlen was sometimes a handful for him and he did tried to be a good parent.

Arlen wondered if he would find Levi at the beach today as he did have the stone that he would like and said he would bring the last time they were together. He had run the whole way to the beach edge and only stopped to have a snack of a bird that crossed his path. Looking around he didn't spot his friend so he went on walking around the beach until he could find Levi to were ever he might be.

From the looks of things it was likely that Levi was around since Roll was present. He was out in the water, riding the waves on his board as they were coming in quite high today. It was likely that since the blond man was out in the water that Leviathan was probably out there as well only stuck to being under the water instead of on top of it in the same manner that the man had his fun.

In fact the sea dragon seemed to have already spotted his General and was pleased with his reappearance as it felt like forever since he'd last seen him. The dragon moved forward, away from what he'd been doing, having been gathering clams to break open and eat as well as search for pearls. He'd found a couple which were tucked away under his scales and his belly was full of tasty meat so he was in a good mood, made better by Arlen's arrival. He came up out of the water, smiling, and shaking off, "General Arlen! You have arrived!" He said in excitement.

Arlen smile as he heard Levi call his name out and he giggled to himself as he still wasn't use to be called general but he still like the title none the less. Heading to were Levi was coming out of the water and headed over to him tho not as fast as he could as sand made it hard to do that and he also didn't want to get it in his eyes too. "Yes I have, so how have you been?" he asked as he played with the promised stone in his pocket.

"I have been quite well! I met two more Princess, one of them is a Ruby Princess and the other is a Water Princess." He told him, arms crossing over his chest, "They are amazing, especially when compared to that golden haired False Princess Roxy." He told Arlen, seeming quite pleased over what he'd seen and found since he'd last met up with his General, "How about you? How have you been doing in your finding of Princesses and Knight fighting? I must say I have been a little lacking in the latter."

"That is very good! One day I will have to meet those Princess," he said with a smile as he was still a little confused on Levi's view of a Princess but he knew he would learn eventually he has met Roxy but never thought of her as a Princess but that did give him a good idea of what wasn't a Princess. "Not much I have mostly been practicing my swimming, running and hunting skills. I have yet to find a knight so I have yet to fight any of them." he replied as he took out the blue cats eye from his pocket. "Here is the stone that I said I would bring for you," he said as he handed the stone over to Levi.

He gave a nod of his head as he shifted his coils so that he could settle back on them as though they were a built in chair, "Training, huh? That's good." He murmured, "I want my General to be well versed in battle for the day we do run into knights and it will happen, mark my word!" He knew it would, dragons were always hunted down by knights and he needed to be ready. And General Arlen would be guilty by association, meaning that even if he weren't a dragon himself the fact that he served in a Dragon's Army that would make him just as big an enemy to the knights.

"No princesses yet? Its alright, I know that not everyone can be good at catching them right away. It took me a couple tries before I found a real one." He turned to look at the blue stone that was being held out to him, eyes going wide as he reached out to take it. He looked it over, tilting it from one side to the other, then grinned, "Wonderful!" He tucked it away under a scale to keep it safe then retrieved a pearl. He looked it over then held it out to Arlen, "One must reward their Generals after all." Those that served loyally were to be rewarded for that loyalty just as those who betrayed must be dealt with.

Nodding at Levi as that it what he has been doing as Tireu had been brushing up on his rocks and didn't want to take him out so he just taking himself around and hunting little animals for good tasty snacks. "I will do my best to keep in top shape and do you proud," he replied. "At least not yet, I haven't see any that would be classified to be Princesses. Yes you are right some day I will," he said as he as he watched Levi take and tuck the blue stone under one of his scales and Arlen thought that was cool. Arlen's eyes went wide as Levi held of a pearl out for him and he took it and looked it over and found it beautiful. "Thanks, its beautiful," he said with a large smile.

Levi gave a toothy grin and a nod, "I have been clam hunting, they taste really good and on occasion have lots of treasures in them." He told Arlen in a delighted manner. He motioned to the water just behind him, "They hang out in the sand just waiting to be eaten." He told his general in a pleased manner, that is how all things should be. Waiting around for him to eat them!

Arlen listed to his Lord at that information and thought that he should hide his treasure from Tireu as he knew that the fire dragon didn't have anything like this in his collection and Arlen was going to keep all for himself as he put the pearl into his pocket and also thing that he would have to find something else to keep his treasure safe. "That is nifty. Nothing that I eat has treasures like the pearl. Just lots of fur and feathers. Tho sometimes the feathers can be cool looking," he replied as the birds really didn't wait around for him to eat them but they taunted him to see if he could catch them.

"We might have to see about finding you some clams then, so you can try your luck at the Clam Game!" He pushed up on his coils and motioned to Arlen to follow along after him and he turned to head back to the water once more.

"That sounds like fun!" he replied as he followed Levi to the water as he tried to figure out what a clam would taste like and wondered if it would taste like birds. He thought as he waited on shore for Levi to return and also wondered if Levi would like to taste a bird. So he also kept an eye out for any birds that might cross his line of sight.

The Lord and the General: Part Two

(( done via AIM with Naggy ))

It took him a short amount of time before he reappeared with a handful of clams and slithered over to Arlen's side, "Alright, here are some." He said, dumping them into the shallow water that would go barely over Arlen's feet then picked one of them up, "Alright, all we have to do is..." He showed his General how to pop the clam open before he gave a pout, "Darn, no prize in this one." He said as he dumped the meaty contents of the shells into his mouth, chewed, and swallowed. He then carefully set the shells aside, "I save them." He explained, so that Arlen wouldn't toss them aside. The shells made good treasure boxes after all and he liked to store things he found in them.

Arlen looked to what Levi had brought back up with him and looked at the clams very carefully and gave one of them that was closest to his foot as the looked like rocks to him. But he watched Levi open one of them as saw that they just looked that way to hid he thought to himself. Sitting on the ground and picking one of the clam in his hand as he tried to pick the best place try and open it up. It took a few tries to get it right before he gotten it open and found that there was nothing shiny inside. But ate the meat like he had seen and found the meat very good. "These do taste very good," he said as he did what his Lord told him and put the shell next to him as the inside of the shell was beautiful despite on how they looked on the outside. As he grabbed another one to open it.

Levi seemed to pleased to find that Arlen liked the food that he was sharing with him and the end of his long tail gave a little swish of delight, "I am glad that you like it." He said, giving a sharp tooth grin before he set to breaking into the next one, again no treasure aside from the tasty meat and the shell of the clam. He devoured it, giving a happy purr as he did so, and again set the clam shells aside for later use. He was in a grand mood if the look on his face was any indication, like a good thing as Levi in a bad mood was never fun... not that it was something seen all that often thus far.

Arlen returned the smiled as he opened more of the clams and found that if he jabbed the back of the clam hard with his claw it would open a lot easier, but most of what he gotten was just the tasty meat and the shells for Levi. As he picked up a clam that was very ugly and opened it up and when he opened it up he found a little pearl inside. Taking it out and looking at it in the sun before he handed over to Levi. "Here you go," he said as he gave it to him as Arlen thought it was fair enough in his mind and payment for getting all the tasty clams in the first place.

The sea serpent seemed pleased with the offering as as before the little pearl was taken and hidden away under one of his scales as he happily finishing off the last clam before he patted his hands against his belly, feeling quite full, "Oooo, man... I am so full." He murmured, giving a happy sort of grin. His stomach was swollen slightly due to all he'd eaten making him look a little on the chubby side but he really didn't bothered by it at all. After all it was the job of the princesses to be attractive, not the job of the dragon. Or so he would tell a person if they asked.

Grinning happy as Levi took the pearl as he at last ate the meat and found that he was full with the very good meat. Maybe sometime later on he would have to catch something for Levi, maybe a bird or something equally as tasty, something that his Lord hadn't eaten before. "So what type of things do you eat, beside the clams," he asked.

Leviathan tilted his head to one side, seeming to be thinking on the question, "All sorts of fish, some sea mammals when they are to slow and oblivious to me approaching them, all kinds of shell fish, things like shrimps and lobster and crab... basically anything that enters the ocean I have free domain over and have tasted at least once... well aside from really big things like whales since I can't quite take them on yet and no humans since Roll would be upset with me if I ate a person."

Listening to what Leviathan had to say and found that there were lots of good sounding things in the ocean as he hadn't eaten much from the ocean himself as Tireu didn't like the water all that much as the only fish that he had eaten was what his guardian had gotten from the store as it was good but Arlen found the clams very tasty. "That is cool, I have eaten some fish, but I have mostly eaten thinks that walk on the earth or fly in the sky," he said as he did love going hunting with Tireu and all the fresh red meat was oh so tasty too.

"The only meat that lives on the land or in the sky I have tried was stuff at the restaurant that was already cooked, not nearly as good as when you catch it fresh but Roll can't eat raw fish... it can be such a pain at times." He said, glancing over to where the man was for only a moment and then back to Arlen since he was the important one here, "We will need to see about hunting together sometime." It would be tough since he was built for land hunting and Arlen wasn't built for hunting in the waters but... it was what made his General so perfect, he was able to do well what Levi himself wasn't as good at.

"That does suck, I go out with Tireu all the time to hunt as he doesn't eat his meat any other way. He said that lifeless meat it nasty only the still living meat is the best and the way to go. But one has to honor those that have given up there life to fed another," he said as he did like Tireu and all the thing that he was teaching him. "Yes that sounds like a good idea and a fun one," he replied as it would be cool to learn how to hunt in the ocean and he just might have to do some research on the matter too. But they made a perfect match on how they each hunted as each other could protect the other from what they weren't designed for.

Levi seemed pleased with the fact that they were going to go hunting together, it had him grinning up a storm before he set to gathering up the clam shells. He rinsed them off in the water them looked them over before smiling and nodding, they would do well in what he used them for he thought to himself before looking up at Arlen, "I will need to bring these and my other treasures to my deep water vault." He explained to the raptor, "But we will need to do this again real soon General Arlen, I rather enjoy spending time with you." It was odd, aside from Arlen he had no desire to spend terribly much time with any other males, even Roll didn't get as good a reception as his General did.

Arlen grinned as he would have to think on what land animals would be best to hunt that Levi could have in on the action. "Ok I will see you soon then, my Lord. As I do also enjoy spending time with you as well," he replied as he gave Levi a bow and left him to go and put his treasure his under water vault. Tho Arlen did wonder to where he was going to put his treasures, but then thought for the time being he would just put them where he had always put them he thought as he walked home.

My Perfect Lair

It had started out a bit on the iffy side, sure it was nice enough so that he could he could hide his treasures away in it as he found them but it wasn't that one thing that he wanted, the thing that he felt that he should have being the big, dangerous dragon that he was! It was a bit of a hassle since he had to continue to go out deeper and deeper into the ocean in search of what he was looking for. Every dragon, even a young one like him, needed an awesome lair in which one could hide all their treasures, to put their stolen Princesses until the knights came looking for them, a place that he felt that he just... needed.

The young sea serpent swam up to the surface, looking over to where Roll was lounging on the sand and his eyes narrowed a little bit. He did like the man, truly he did, but that they lived the way they lived was... rough. A dragon wasn't supposed to be a gypsy, they were supposed to have that one place to call theirs, a place they could fall back on when they needed to rest, when they wanted to hide, what if he were injured what would he do? He didn't want to be left out in the open, exposed to anyone that would want to come by and finish him off. A growl escaped from him as he sank back under the water, going back to digging around in the rocks, sand, and shells at the bottom of the water. He had to find himself a lair, if he didn't he was pretty certain that he was going to go mad... not that he was exactly the most sane being in the world from the standards of normal people.

A pleased sort of sound escaped from him and he was momentarily distracted for what was bothering him as he lifted up the large clam up and set to prying it open with his strong hands and set to munching on the soft insides of the tasty creature. This place was where he was wanted for his lair to be, or at least close by, there was a lot of food to be had because this part of the ocean was healthy, and since a lot of people visited it meant a lot of treasures that they left behind on accidentally. He'd been lucky when it came to finding all sorts of fun things that they had forgotten... the fools. He wasn't going to give any of the treasures back, he had found them fair and square and on occasion he was kind enough to share with Roll so that they were able to sell the item and get money for cooked food. Not that he cared so much about if his food was cooked he thought as he rinsed out the now empty shell, looking over the pretty rainbow colors that were on the inside of the shell and held onto it. It was a good sized shell and he had both sides which meant that it would be good for holding stuff that he found.

Holding onto it he swam to where his temporary lair was located, looking into the small hold in the side of the rock wall. It wasn't big enough for him to fit in himself but big enough that he could tuck his clam shell treasure chests inside and keep them safe. It wasn't as though many would dive under this far into the water, wouldn't notice the hole without looking for it, and surely would have no idea that they should look inside of the clams that were sitting inside to find where his treasures were. It wasn't so much a lair as much as it was a hidey hole but it worked. He made sure that everything was tucked safely inside then gave a nod of his head before he pushed off and headed up to the surface of the water and returned to floating there like so much seaweed, watching the sleeping man once more, finding himself a little annoyed that he hadn't even stirred since the last time he'd come up to the surface. There were days he wished he could control the waves... if he could he would send them rolling in right on the man's head to wake him up.

Journal Entry in the Sands

I think that hes an idiot. Its something I have been considering for some time but while I am this young I need someone to look after me, to protect me. I wonder if all dragons think like this. I believe that I will be able to take care of myself when I get a bit bigger and I mean to drop that hanger on like a bad habit. I don't need a mere human, and a male one at that, following me around forever. I do not like the idea in the least. Males are dangerous, they are potential betrayers... and yet I have drafted on into my army. General Arlen seems the loyal sort from what I have seen thus far but it might be one of those mistakes that come back to bite me later on, I suppose we will see.

Arlen and Roll are far different though, one is a parental figure of sorts while the other is the General of my army. One is only needed until I am grown enough to take care of myself, we dragons aren't in need of a coddling, we are a tough breed! Soon enough I will be able to leave the nest, the question being what I need to do about Roll when I leave, should I leave him be? To live his life as he would or should I deal with him so he can tell none of my enemies about me? Its a question I must ponder.

The written entries of the sea dragon's thoughts were left behind on the sands but a short moment later the water came in, erasing it, his thoughts would never be found and the one he was considering assassinating would remain blissfully ignorant.

How could you? How could you do ...

"... suck a stupid thing Leviathan!" Roll said, his voice louder then normal. He was normally a rather laid back sort of guy but at the moment it would appear as though that was the last thing that he was. He had hold of the sea dragon's shoulder and was giving him a bit of a shake as though to give accentuation to what he was saying.

And Levi was looking... extremely bored, as though he couldn't care less what the man was saying. He lifted a hand up to scratch it against his scaly throat as though he weren't even paying attention to what was being said to him. It wasn't his fault after all, that fool had come into his territory and was trying to mess with things that were beyond his comprehension! He glanced over at the dark haired man that had been swimming in his water, diving down and trying to steal his clams... and he gave him a dark glare. He'd grabbed the man by the ankle, holding him under while yelling angry threats at him. It was only the fact that he'd been flailing about so much that Roll had even discovered that something was up... it really was a pain. He was in trouble when that man over there was the interloper!

It was clear that he wasn't listening and as such Roll gave him another little shake, "Levi, have you heard one word that I have said to you?" He demanded, wondering if it had been in one ear and out the other with the kid. He was certain that this was Karma's way of getting back at him... he'd been such a brat and hadn't listened to half of what his father had told him when he was growing up and now it was going to come back to bite in him the backside via Leviathan not listening to a word he said... the idea was bothersome, "What do I do to make you listen? Perhaps we need to leave here? Do I need to ground you from swimming?"

That seemed to finally illicit a response from the dragon child as he lifted his strangely colored eyes to stare up at Roll as though the blond had just said he was going to tear his heart out... then gave a snarl, sharp teeth barred, "This is my territory! If you think I will let you take me away from here your mad!" He spat out, lifting his hand to knock Roll's hand off of his shoulder, "That human b*****d was where he shouldn't have been and he was stealing what isn't his! Those clams are mine! The meat, the shells, the pearls that they sometimes bare, all of it! And if some thief thinks to take even so much as one of them I will drown him!"

The one with the dark hair seemed to get a bit intimidated, despite being so young Leviathan was still a dragon, was still dangerous. He had strength in every inch of his body that was more then most human adult males, he had shark teeth, armored skin, and the ability to breath under water thus making threads of drowning his victims as something that was very much possible, "H-Hells... look, I am sorry... let me get out of your way... I shouldn't have bothered what was yours." The guy said, deciding that at the moment what was best was trying to placate this dangerous creature and getting the hell out of here before he ended up at the bottom of the ocean for good. He turned on his heel and ran, stumbling here and there in the sand, and was soon out of sight.

Levi starred for a long moment before he began to laugh, "Despicable, weakling... he will tell the others of this place and of me and they won't dare to come back." He snarled, his tail lashing a the end, teeth barred, and he looked... pleased. Humans weren't wanted here and he would make sure that they stayed away no matter what he had to do from here on out. This was his territory, the sand, the water, the air... and he wouldn't share it with any males but those who served him. He looked up at Roll for a long moment, glaring at him then slithered forward and dove into the water. He vanished under the waves in a moment and Roll could only stand there, a bit dazed, as his charge disapeared...
