A Rude Awakening
Letting out a tiny shriek, Kiyo frantically pushes the offending cloak off her, backing into a small table before realising the mosquitoes are just a pattern on said cloak.
Standing up, she lets out a small huff and stamps her foot. Well, who would go and embroider nasty little mosquitoes on such a fashionable jacket! That's... that's just tacky!
Her annoyance quickly dissipates as her attention turns to the unfamiliar surroundings. Where exactly is she...?
The room she has awakened in is modestly sized, with cherry-wood floorboards and pale blue-green walls. Two rather worn looking pink plush couches frame the small white table she had backed into. A small dining area and a bookshelf which is crammed absolutely full take up the far side of the room.
There is no sign of the dark-haired man who brought her here... or was that just a dream? Considering the cloak that had been covering her, and the small pile of clothing that her head had been resting on, Kiyo is bewildered. Those would seem to suggest that it wasn't a dream...
Kiyo is, however, not overly worried by the fact that she is in an unknown place. So she didn't know how she had arrived here. Obviously someone was attempting to take care of her, or her neck and head would hurt as much as the rest of her body did from lying directly on the hard wood floor!
Besides, Kiyo thinks optimistically, this is rather exciting! This would make a great basis for a story! Kiyo will have to start writing that down later.
But right now, she is rather sore. Kiyo is sure whoever lives here won't mind her resting somewhere other than the floor. 3nodding
Taking a seat on the larger of the two couches, Kiyo drifts back off into her daydreams:
Maybe Kiyo was kidnapped and taken here to be married off to a monster! But then, a brave handsome Knight will come save her.... heart

Part 2!
Dori trudges into the kitchen, her blond hair standing up every which-way, and her eyes crusty with sleep.
Must.. get.. caffeine...
Zombified, she stumbles over to the fridge and tugs it open. After leaning inside, she emerges with a can of cola, and proceeds to stomp into the living room.
Where there is a person sitting on her couch. eek
"OH GOD," Dori shouts out as she retreats back into the kitchen in panic. An intruder! She's always been afraid of this! What should she do, what she do, what should she doooo??
Kiyo is abruptly snapped out of her fantasies by Dori's fearful shout. Turning around quickly, she just catches a glimpse of Dori's pink-and-purple striped pant legs as they disappear back into the kitchen.
Oh, that must be the house's owner. They must not have known they had a visitor. Kiyo gets up from the couch and projects feelings of apology and calm. Kiyo is sorry for the intrusion!
Dori, meanwhile, is debating whether it would be possible to intimidate an intruder with a roll of paper towels.
Huh? One of those telepathic people from that Barton neighbourhood? Cautiously emerging from the kitchen, still brandishing the paper towel roll, Dori takes in the young Porcelain woman standing in her living room.
Kiyo smiles at Dori warmly. Kiyo is sorry, she projects again. Kiyo doesn't know how she ended up in this house. She assumes that it was not this woman who placed the clothes under her head? Kiyo points at the clothing and the cloak that are still laying on the floor.
"No, I'm not," Dori says, glancing at the clothing on the floor. "I've never seen that cloak before, it's not mine... although the other clothes belong to me, I didn't put them there." Feeling anxious and overwhelmed, Dori takes a seat at the small dining room table, placing the paper towel rolls down as she doesn't feel threatened anymore.
"So you have no idea what you're doing here?"
Kiyo shakes her head. Kiyo tells Dori that she had been sleeping at home in her room. She had been having a dream, which started out in a formulaic way, but then became a bit odd. She projects the image of the man from her dream, and the strange beast he had been riding on. And then...
"Woke here," she finishes. Now she's feeling a little bored; this woman is not a handsome Knight come to save her. This situation, while strange, is not turning out as interesting as she would have thought.
The more Dori listens, the more perplexed she looks. The man Kiyo describes doesn't look familiar to Dori (although it is obvious he's riding a horse). And if it was a dream, where did that cloak come from? And how the heck did this "Kiyo" get here?
"I have no clue," Dori admits. Resting her chin in her hands, she contemplates Kiyo for a minute. "Maybe the people like you in Barton will have more of an idea."
People like Kiyo? Does the woman mean that there are other Porcelain nearby? Kiyo's face brightens considerably. Why that must mean she is not as far from home as she thought, if Porcelain live here. Even though she has never heard of Barton.
"Porcelain? Is that what you call yourselves? I've been too shy to ask," Dori laughs a little,"yes, there are more Porcelain nearby. I don't know if you're near home though, since I don't know where you come from. Oh, and you can call me Dori, by the way."
Realising that she hasn't had breakfast, or her cola yet, Dori gets up and heads back into the kitchen where she left it.
"I can take you to go meet with them after I eat. Have you eaten recently? I have some granola if you want."
Kiyo bows politely when Dori introduces herself and follows her into the kitchen. Kiyo would appreciate Dori's assistance very much. ^_^

Returning from the thrift store with Dori, Kiyo excuses herself and heads to the small guest room she's claimed as her own. The room is sparsely furnished; in fact the only thing in the room is a bed. Dori seldom (i.e. never) has visitors, so the bed was just there for emergencies.
Kneeling down, Kiyo grabs a small pad of paper, with a pencil attached by a string, out from under the bed. Kiyo had asked Dori for something to write on after it became apparent that she would be staying her for more than a few days.
Sitting herself on the bed, she flips past the first few pages of half-baked story ideas till she gets to a fresh page. She nibbles end of the pencil for a moment before jotting down:
- Mysterious 'Prince' figure: likes to rescue young ladies and leave behind his clothing... similarity coincidental?
- Bow Boi SOMEONE Miss Meirou knows is not from the Golden World. Are they from here? Or the Silver World Miss Meirou mentioned?
Feeling satisfied, Kiyo shoves the pad back under the bed, then lies down and imagines faces in the ceiling-stucco until Dori calls her for dinner.
