It is a warm, sunny evening when Dori and Kiyo set out for Setsushi's udon-ya. It is a bit of a bus ride from Dori's place. Dori spends the trip pointedly avoiding looking at anyone; Kiyo has her face pasted against the window, gawking at all the strange people that zoom past.
Look Dori! That's five people who have wings growing out of their head! Except that person's were leathery and black!
Dori mumbles something incoherent, painfully aware that to the other passengers it must seem like she is talking to herself.
Exiting the bus when it arrives, the two make their way through the busy streets. Kiyo blushes when a number of people stop and look at her, but also smiles at them shyly.
Eventually they arrive at the untidy lawn of the udon-ya. Smiling, Dori turns to Kiyo.
"Well, we made it. This is where I've seen the other Porcelain. They seem to congregate here." Making her way up the front steps, Dori raps on the door lightly and waits.
"...and yet it seldom seems to actually be open for business." sweatdrop
Kiyo smiles at Dori, concealing her disappointment. Aw, they'll have to come back another time. At least she got to experience that "bus ride." eek That was the most exciting thing Kiyo has ever experienced!

His hair was going to drive him crazy. Baikou had managed to cut it at just such a length that it was too long to keep it reliably in-check, but too short to tie back. And now, every time a breeze caught it, he was smoothing it out of his face.
Today seems to be no exception as Hitsuga steps out of the propped open front door of the house across the road to check the mailbox, brushing gently-touseled dark strands away from his eyes and mouth as he goes in the face of a soft summer wind.
There has yet to be anything useful, but as the junk mail vultures seem to have finally discovered his residence, he feels obligated to clear it out daily regardless...

While Dori peeks through the udon-ya's windows to check for signs of life, Kiyo wanders back down to the sidewalk.
Oh! There's someone! Kiyo smiles brightly as she notices the man with the cropped hair across the street. She runs forward, projecting happy greetings as she goes.
And trips as she stubs her foot on the curb.

Hitsuga looks up immediately at the projections and at the young lady they are emitting from as she scampers across the road toward him.
Oh...!
He returns them, offering her a smile, only to wince as she trips, and steps forward, hands going out in front of him as if to assist if she should need it.
Is Madame all right...?! eek

Kiyo lands on her palms, badly scraping them on the concrete. Biting her lip slightly, she blinks back tears and blushes deeply behind her makeup. How mortifying!
Composing herself as best she can, she smiles up at Hitsuga. Kiyo is fine, she assures him. She should watch where she is going more closely. sweatdrop She stands up and clasps her injured hands behind her back.
"Kiyo?" Dori calls anxiously from back at the udon-ya. Realizing she's been left behind, Dori hurries across the street as well.

The twinges of pain are not lost on him, nor is the glassy look in her eyes from held back tears.
Is--is she sure? Hitsuga has a washroom he would be happy to let Madame borrow. She really should not let scrapes stay dirty... sweatdrop
As Dori approaches he blinks, and then takes a polite step back, wondering if the other woman is this one's guardian, and wanting to allow them their space.

It was at this moment, the door across the way was pushed open. Coughing Oukou steps out of the house as she glares at the dragon cat with anger. Why of all things to play in, it had to be the dust she just gather to sweep outside.
The Dragon cat didn't seem to pay any attention to Oukou, it was now bounding down the stairs and into the grass. Rolling around, it lays there as it looks up at Oukou.
Brushing the dust off herself, Oukou finds herself sighing as she looks down the street. Her eyes settled on Hitsuga, which reminder her she needed to go into town later.
The other girl, she didn't know at all. Maybe she was a friend of Hitsuga's?

Biting her lip a little, she insists that she is sure, they are just little scrapes. She doesn't want to be a bother.
But she admits he has a point. Kiyo should probably wash her hands- oh!
Seeing Dori out of the corner of her eye she beckons her forward.
This is Dori! She's a human, but she's nice. 3nodding Kiyo woke up in her house, and she volunteered to bring Kiyo here. 4laugh
Dori views Hitsuga a bit warily. She doesn't know this Porcelain, but from what she's seen of them they seem nice enough. So after Kiyo's introduction she smiles shyly and offers her hand.
"It's nice to meet you. And you are?"

As she beckons, Hitsuga catches the brief flashes of angry red on her palms and, again, inwardly winces, though his projections remain on the side of friendly. It is not any trouble at all, he assures her. Especially in a case such as this.
His eye is caught by Dori as she greets him, and he offers her a smile.
This one is pleased to make her acquaintance. 3nodding Hesitating only a moment, he accepts the hand, giving it a single, somewhat-awkward shake as if he is still not used to the gesture. Or the touching.
"Hitsuga." he says softly, his gaze straying from Dori momentarily at the sound of a door squeaking open further down the street. He looks up to see Oukou emerge from her house, setting his jaw nervously as she seems to, again, be annoyed with something. Deciding against bothering her, he quickly looks to the two before him once again.
Ah, but they should come inside, yes? So that Kiyo may wash up. And he will see if, between he and Baikou, they've acquired anything that might make the scrapes sting less...

Projecting her thanks, and a little bit of her embarrassment, Kiyo begins to follow Hitsuga into the house, when she notices the other Porcelain lady. Sadly, the excitement she had been feeling at seeing her own people has fizzled some what. She sends a rather distracted greeting towards Oukou, focusing more on the pain in her hands.
"Baikou?" Dori asks curiously. She wonders if that is one of the Porcelain she's met. How many of these people are there?

Oukou glances over toward the girl in which she got the greeting from. With a nod to the head, she looks at Hitsuga before lifting her chin. She did the one thing, she didn't expect she would do, she actually greets him in a nice manner. Walking down the walkway, she pauses just near her fence. With a hand on gate, she push a strand of hair from her face " Hitsuga, would you happen to have a bucket I could place some water in?" again she looks to the other young later, then the human as she called her. "Hello, I'm Oukou. Don't mind me, I'll be gone in a couple of moments."

"Baikou..." ....is Hitsuga's wife. But he's afraid she's out at the moment, he tells Dori. She has gone with Rika into town as they were in need of some things, apparently... sweatdrop
At Oukou's approach, he offers her warm greetings, and a bow of his head, expecting sourness but finding himself surprised when she makes her polite inquiry instead.
He---yes, he has a bucket Madame can borrow, certainly....! eek Would--would Oukou like to come in as well? He can fetch it while Lady Kiyo tends her hands.
His eye flickering to the dust covering her outer garments, he flushes a bit. And...ah....he has a scrub brush and some cleaning fluid too, if she should like...

"Ah, I see. I must not have met her then. I'm pretty sure I've only met two or three female Porcelain, not including Kiyo. One was with her husband, and the others were far too young to be married... at least I assume they were ," sweatdrop Dori babbles. It is obvious in her stance that she is slightly more relaxed after the revelation that Hitsuga is married.
eek Oh of course, that's why Master Hitsuga's hair is so short! Oh! Kiyo covers her mouth with her hand. Maybe Kiyo shouldn't have drawn attention to that. She apologizes. sweatdrop
Turning her head, Dori waves and smiles at Oukou, but also backs in closer to Kiyo as if for protection. Not that she thinks Oukou will hurt her, she's just feeling a bit surrounded.
Kiyo waits patiently to be shown where the washroom is located.

Glancing down at her robes, she frowns before nodding again in thanks to Hitsuga. The idea of not working on the building wasn't something Oukou wanted to do. However, a break sounded great at this moment. And she might as well be semi nice right? Only for a few minutes, then I must get back to cleaning.

He nods to Oukou, at the same time, beckoning her inside with the others. He understands, certainly...when he had first moved in, getting things in order was forefront in his own priorities as well...
Turning next to Kiyo, he stifles a nervous chuckle. That--yes. That would be why his hair is short, at the moment. sweatdrop But here, he goes on, urging her in the direction the small doorway that connects the storefront to the rest of the house.
The bathroom is just there, he tells her, pointing at a door that hangs half-open on the other side of the kitchen. After Lady Kiyo has washed, he'll check the cabinets for bandages or salves.
Much like Dori he seems a bit flustered at all of the activity, but does his best to keep it hidden behind his wall.
