After successfully managing down some of the strangest fish she'd ever seen, Alma looked up realized her date had left... Dammit, where'd the idiot go? Without getting up, she started looking around the room. After a couple seconds of scanning the mostly overly done prom-goers, she spotted Edwin... at a table of girls that mostly likely just paired up with each other instead of getting a date. Well, ain't he the little prince of princesses... The goth rose calmly to her feet with a snarl that was anything but lady-like and walked to try and find some place quiet to be away from the rest of the crowd. If she wanted to come, she would have actually tried to get a date. Hell with it, this was hell... Her "date" literal just dumped her... without even saying anything. She could pout a little. Well, the goth didn't notice the nearest 13ROY suddenly freeze then start doing Hokey Poky.

Tehra honestly couldn't find Tommy anywhere- so much for their pairing up on Prom night to help out whenever B.A.N.D. attacked. She scanned the crowd one last futile time, seeing Damien dancing and some people she really didn't recognize. Her eyes caught sight of a certain goth, however, and Tehra's face brightened some. At least she could hang with Alma while being ditched. The pretty pink haired girl bounded up to Alma, smiling at her broadly. "Hey Alma... You look so pretty! How are you?"

Cael laughed at Cait. "Don't worry. I have love enough for two." He smiled and continued to sip from his drink. "This root beer is just too good not to love." Something or someone seemed to have caught Jay's eye and she tugged on Cait's dress and started whispering in her ear. They both looked a little unsettled. Cael looked around the room trying to see what they were worried about but he didn't see anything that startled him. Looking back at the girls he raised an eyebrow and asked "Um, are you girls okay? You look kinda nervous."

Anthony stood silently as Beth talked to some of her friends and only spoke when she introduced him. He could tell she was very proud of having brought him, though he wasn't sure why as he wasn't exactly a life of the party type of person. As they were talking it started raining and he was instantly irritated, "Not here, not of all the places..." he muttered to himself. Beth looked at him curiously, "I have a massive head ache." He lied to her since he was certain she'd think he was stark raving mad (which maybe wasn't far from the truth). Although this opinion quickly changed when a young man asked his date if she had seen something before disregarding it....maybe it hadn't been just him for once.

Anthony eyed the young man nervously, "Yes, truthfully it just struck me a few seconds ago," He said picking up on the hinting tones of the youth's voice that he too had seen the rain. He wasn't sure if teen also suffered from visions and highly doubted it so he kept it to himself. He studied the kid's face and body language and determined that he was genuine in emotion and could even prove to be a valuable asset....though to what he wasn't entirely sure. "Excuse me but I believe I could use a drink," He said to Beth nodding at the teen as he started towards one of a few refreshment tables.

This isn’t ridiculously obvious… Austin promised himself sarcastically. He blinked a couple more times. “I’m really sorry, Rowena. I need to sit down,” he told her. “I’ll be okay in a few.” Austin broke away from her slowly, as though truly in pain. In fact, it was only confusion. If it would not have blown the charade, Austin would have smiled, remembering the awkward man from before discuss the root beer as though it were human. “What you want is Hank, he’s over there,” Austin mumbled to the man as they passed each other. He nodded towards the root beer. “But I don’t think you actually wanted a drink.” There was a flimsy, plastic chair set-up next to the drink table, conveniently next to Hank. Austin looked at it, making it clear that his goal was to sit there.

Anthony smirked, "Indeed I do not need a drink, however would I need a drink it would be a little stronger than root beer if you catch my drift." Anthony wasn't very good with people as he had demonstrated time and again. He stepped a little closer to the teen in an almost uncomfortable closeness and spoke a little softer, "Tell me... did you perhaps feel a little...percipitation maybe a minute previous?" He offered his hand so that people watching would think he were introducing himself....mostly because he was introducing himself. "My name is Anthony, do you have a....condition if I may ask?"

Anthony's eyes narrowed slightly, "Indeed, it was a hallucination if you will." He felt his head pounding with blood. The kid had seen exactly what he had seen which was startling considering that most of the time when Anthony pointed out things he'd seen people wondered if he needed medication or rather a straight jacket. However this "Austin" as he called himself seemed to understand as well. Anthony started to speak and stopped to gain control of his voice, "What I mean is, do you have a...gift? No that isn't the right word..." Anthony muttered to himself trying to think of the word, "Is there something that sets you apart from other people? Perhaps an abnormality such as these visions?" He realized what he was insinuating sounded crazy if not insulting but he had to ask.

Anthony chose to phrase his next words carefully so as to leave their meaning up to interpretation, "If I do have an ability I'm afraid it isn't of much use and has more potential to get me locked away in the psych ward....Still, there's an aweful lot of people running around this town with crazy costumes and rescuing folk or causing havoc. You never can be too sure." He didn't quite believe Austin, then again he didn't believe most people, "Keep an eye out, I have a strange suspicion to this whole Prom's motives."

B.A.N.D. had yet to hit the stage, but for those who were inclined to take advantage of the dance floor, the DJ was keeping them entertained with popular hits. Serenity had heard of B.A.N.D. but she never really listened to them, nor had she ever heard a good review of them from a reputable music source. But music was music, and Serenity loved to dance. Getting lost in the music helped her forget about everything and just be happy. Abigail had introduced Serenity to all of her friends and she was getting along well with them. She usually made a good impression on those she met. She was happy to be making friends so soon after arriving in a new town. But she still had one more friend to find. Serenity scanned the crowd for Cael, who was the reason she was here in the first place. She found him sitting at a table with two girls and another boy. Serenity was shocked. Three friends was an incredibly large number for Cael. She was torn between the emotions of joy and anger; happy that Cael had finally learned how to make friends, but angry that he had been ignoring her. She decided to work with the anger for now. She told Abey that she would be right back and marched off towards Cael and his new friends.
