their hair looks similar, the eyes only look similar when they're made, and both like to pwn inuyasha

they look similar in the manga. not as much in the anime, but you can't say they look completely different, so i guess thier similar. alittle. not really. sweatdrop

The Graple Ninjer Yes she is the reincarnation of Kikyo. Kagome is still young though, so maybe in time she will look like Kikyo.

I hate Kikyo... Somthing about her just makes me hate her... She's so irriatating! That's why I like Kagome. Kagome does look like Kikyo, a little, but like she said in "Return to the place we met" She and Kikyo only share one thing in common, and that is their love of Inuyasha!

the only time when i could tell they look alike was when kikyo was knocked into the river of miasma by naraku and her eyes looked exactically like kagomes

sometimes i wonder why the show is called inuyasha. It should be called Kagome, or lets spend half of each episode beating up inuyasha.
if not for the battles the show would be about kagome more then inuyasha. and she spends most episodes pissed off at him and then she sits him.

Ameraq I hate Kikyo... Somthing about her just makes me hate her... She's so irriatating! That's why I like Kagome. Kagome does look like Kikyo, a little, but like she said in "Return to the place we met" She and Kikyo only share one thing in common, and that is their love of Inuyasha! Kuma the wolf alchemist Ameraq I hate Kikyo... Somthing about her just makes me hate her... She's so irriatating! That's why I like Kagome. Kagome does look like Kikyo, a little, but like she said in "Return to the place we met" She and Kikyo only share one thing in common, and that is their love of Inuyasha! Pft...you call Kikyo annoying Kagome needs so mental help Err, Kagome is mentally stable. She's handing the fact that *most of the other's character's destinies are all in her hands and her responsibility for the jewel very well. I mean the average person would freak out under the immense pressure. Kikyou well she tried to kill Inuyasha, and when she killed that monk accidentally she felt no remorse. She also let Kagome nearly die once. Yeah I'm pretty sure is she was alive nowadays they would book her as either as insane or a criminal. Okay I'll admit that she was just being moved by vengeance and anger, and that later in the series she becomes more caring and compassionate. But if you judge just by her early manga characterisation she comes off as a bit insane. *Yes, Inuyasha's Miroku's, Sango's Sesshoumaru's, and Rins's fates are all in Kagome's hands. If she does not purify the jewel it's dark will, it will consume their souls, thus making Naraku even stronger. He'll then kill everyone in the process. So she has to purify the jewel in order to kill Naraku and to prevent everyone from dying.

Kagome's powers all came because she had a duty to complete. It's stated in the character profile book that Kagome is more powerful that Kikyo, even though most of it untapped, and as we learn later sealed for unexplained reasons. Her vast powers come from her being reincarnated and from her duty to finish what Kikyou was unable to do. If I remember correctly in eastern philosophy one is reincarnation until one learns all of life's lessons and their duty is completed. So it's possible that in those 500 years her soul has matured thus gaining more spiritual power. So when it's reincarnated as Kagome, her soul had gained enough power to finish it's duty. Which is basically to defeat Naraku. Midoriko's will probably factors into this as well. Umm when your pissed you don't kill innocent bystanders do you? I'm judging by a modern sensible perspective.
Damn what can't anime characters be real so when I finish my degree is Psychology, I be thier therapist.
