Sept 06 Kittyintheraiyn Xiáng-huǒ was bored! "Oh so bored!" He announced to no one in particular, because as far as he could see, which was a fair distance because he was currently sitting in a tree, out on a limb above the great grape river, there was no one in particular about.
Swimming was an option but Momma said that he shouldn't swim alone, he wasn't particularly hungry and he had already tired out his little wings attempting to fly. The little fire-bug with the firey temper was bored. Moon.Mage.Raein ((May I? blaugh )) Posey drifted through the current of wind, mildly keeping herself afloat. As she continued down over the grape soda river, she spotted a flaming object. Oooh! Could that be Sizzle? she thought. Rolling onto her stomache, she descended down and greeted the Numa.Kittyintheraiyn ((Anyone and everyone may <3)) Xiáng hadn't thought to look up when looking out for others and so when Posey swooped down and greeted him, he almost fell from his branch, that is to say - he was out on a limb.
"Ahh!" Xiáng scrabbled with his claws and luckly was able to keep himself from taking a purple plundge. As he hoisted his small form back up he eyed the pink and yellow female, her green eyes reminded him of his Momma's, he just loved that color.Moon.Mage.Raein When she saw that he almost fell into the river, Posey squeaked and tried to help him get back on. Posey sat on the branch with him ((Since they're pups they're very light >.>;; )). "Sorry...Whats your name?" she asked. Kittyintheraiyn ((Yea no worries <3)) "You have no reason to be sorry, my name is Xiáng-huǒ Li." He bows his head a little and continues "How do you do?" Now he was happy, someone to play with, for surely she would love to play, he grew excited. "I was just a little startled that's why I slipped, I'm usually more sure footed." He rambled on a bit.Moon.Mage.Raein ((^_^ Eh, I'm sorta curious, why does he have 2 names? sweatdrop And, is this a PRP? confused )) Posey smiled at his good manners and thought, Tch! Comepletley the opposite of Souleater. { rolleyes } "Gee, nice ta meet you Xiang-huo. I'm fine, thanks. S'okay, I probabaly did spook ya."Kittyintheraiyn ((As far as I know they mean roughly the same thing, the 'Xiang' being Chinese and the other Japanese, I couldn't chose which I liked better at the time which is why he has two. What's PRP stand for?)) "And what is your name?" Xiang wanted nothing more to tag her 'it' and run off but his Momma's stern face in his mind made him use his manners, plus he was proud to be his parents' son. "Do you wanna play tag or something? I just wasn't expecting for a plaaaymate to fall from the sky." He emphasized 'playmate' in a teasing manner showing his true colors.Moon.Mage.Raein ((I see. =3 PRP = Private RP, just for specific Numas. They're usually in a separate thread, hence you can see some dead ones floating around the guild forum XD;; )) "Ah! Sorry...I'm called Posey." she replied. "Tag, huh?" Posey said. Whoa, I guess he really is a kid after all. she thought. "Sure! Why not?" Posey smiled broadly, and poked him on the nose whispering, 'You're it!' and jumped off the tree branch onto the left bank, shaking the tree. She snickered and started to dash off, waiting for Xiang to follow.Kittyintheraiyn ((No this is not a PRP)) "It's nice to meet you Po-" Xiang blinked as Posey tagged his nose and was off, girls are so weird he thought to himself but none the less he jumped from the branch and was after her. Even though his wings were tired he used them to help speed his foward momentum, running and hopping and flapping in an attempt to catch up.Moon.Mage.Raein ((Kay. =3)) Posey giggled at her little pursuiter as she dashed on. "Come on, slowpoke! You'll never catch me like that!" she taunted. Speeding along the hills, they raced. Man, I've never had this much exercise in a while! she thought. Getting hungry, Posey quickly snacked on a gummy worm while dodging trees and rocks.Kittyintheraiyn "Did she just?"
Xiáng was shocked and a bit dissapointed that she was so much faster than him, he thought, she must be much older than me to be able to run so fast, more practice.
When Posey wasn't looking back Xiáng dodged behind some trees and ran through them to try and hide his place from the other numa, hide and go seek meets tag was always more fun anyway. He had gained a little on the pink one by moving through the trees and so he stalked her as silently as he could. Moon.Mage.Raein Posey kept padding along on the soft cocoa powder trail, hearing the thump thump of her heart and her paws. But wait! Where was the syncopation of the thumps? Where was the other pair of thumps that belonged to a certain Numa named Xiang Huo? She skidded to a halt as she realized in a couple minutes, that Xiang had stopped chasing her! Why? Posey sat down and listened intently for a while, trying to hear nature around her, craning for the slightest unatural sounds. Posey's ears pricked, as the faintest rustle was heard, a ways to her left. A smirk ran from left to right across her face, as she hissed playfully, "So, the game of tag has become cat and mouse, no?", trying to stirr the hidden Xiang. "Oh no!" Posey mused dramatically, "Where ever has little Xiang gone?!" Kittyintheraiyn Xiang was pacing Posey through the trees and when she skidded to a halt he did the same and crouched in the shadows of a gummy tree. Xiang could just see her if he strained forward. He grew nervous as she listened intently for any noise he might make and he was sure that her ears would catch the sound of his breathing if nothing else, he panted a bit but was sure to keep it down as he could, he took a step forward.
Now she's smirking! He had glimpsed her face as she turned and he knew she was toying with him, just wait just wait, he told himself but the firey one was antsy and his legs twitched, she's so close ... I'm going to pounce her!
He burst from the shadows with a "Rawr!" flying right at his pink and playful companion. Moon.Mage.Raein Posey giggled as he burst from the brush, and did a dramatic slow-turn and a 'Nooooooooooooooooo!' face. Xiang pounced on her back and they rolled over on the grass. She quickly recovered from the impact and was intent on tickling Xiang into a hysteria. Posey turned over and began to tickle Xiang's stomach with her paws, laughing. Kittyintheraiyn Xiang laughed as they rolled over and over in the grass, the sight of Posey's slow turn and dramatic "No-o!" face was just too funny in his mind. With a final flop to the side he removed his weight from Posey and panted a bit to catch his breath, but found that she had pounced back and was attempting to tickle him. He brushed her paws away, a bit embarressed and slid away from her.
"I'm not ticklish Posey, sorry, you're still it." Xiang plucked a long blade of grass off his head and placed it in his mouth, he was sitting back on his haunches grinning and using his front paws to straightened the band across his forehead. Moon.Mage.Raein "Really, now?" Posey exclaimed. "I've never heard of an unticklish pup!" She trotted over to Xiang poked him gently in his stomach. Posey whispered, "Now who's it?", and shot off into the sky. "Come on, Xiang! Don't you love flying?!" Posey turned summer saults in the air and took a bite out of a marshmellow cloud. Kittyintheraiyn "Really." Xiang started to say more but Posey had already declared him 'it' again and shot off into the sky taunting him. Furrowing his brow, he declared, "Girls are weird!"
His wing muscles were already tired but he had decided that he would not lose to this girl. He spat the grass from his lips and yelled after her. "Yes!"
Firing his self into the sky after her, he mirrored her aerial maneuvers - forgoing a bite of the cloud, racing after the pink one fire blazed a trail after him, and he was soon on her tail.
Moon.Mage.Raein Posey laughed out loud at his statement that was barely in earshot, diving through the sky. "Can't catch meeee!" she taunted. Circling around a great lollypop tree, Posey skimmed over the lollypop forest. Bad move. As she swooped across its withd, she spotted her home. "AW CRAP!" she screamed. It was sunset and she still hadn't brought food for her family! "Yikes! Raein'll hate this..." {DX} Posey whimpered. Quickly grabbing a couple lollypops and some candy belt grass, she shouted back to Xiang, "Sorry! Gotta go!" Posey did a 360 and descended into the clearing where her home resided. Quickly waving back to the still airborne Xiang, Posey gulped and slowly opened the door, only to be grabbed inside by a very hungry Raein.((Thanks for the RP. ^^))

3286 - 3289Nov 06, 2006 Blood_Goddess Renem: *sniffs* do you smell something burning?>.< Renem. nuuuu Kittyintheraiyn That would be these. Want one? *shows burnt marshmellow flowers* Blood_Goddess *he sniffs again. having never smelled anything like that before, he could not identify it* want one what? *he asked confused* Kittyintheraiyn "To eat." Xiang eats one of the chared flowers. "I like them burnt, but I can get some that are not if you wanna try it that way. I've been told that crispy marshmellow flowers are an acquired taste." *sweatdrop* Blood_Goddess *the moment the New Numa said the name of the food he stopped blushing. having had no idea what kind of food it could have been. he had smelled the raw form before, but never burnt*
"oh, well, if you say burnt is better then i don't mind trying one of the burned ones then" he smiled Kittyintheraiyn Handing over a flower to the dark blue numa, "I-if you don't like it that's okay too. Oh, my name is Xiang-huo it's nice to meet you." Blood_Goddess reaching a paw out, he carefully searched the air untill his paw finaly touched the treat. takeing it carefully he smileing gentley at Xiang-huo "my name is Renem, its nice to meet you"
he bowed his head slightly, eyes not quite looking at the other Numa,
he took a bite out of the burnt treat. pausing a moment with it in his mouth, and then starting to chew. "its... different" he admited, takeing another small bite. Kittyintheraiyn With a nervous giggle Xiang started to ramble a bit. "I've always done this to my food since I was little, though then I did it because it was fun, now I just like the taste I guess, burnt and spicy foods, though I rarely find spicy things to eat. Is there anything that you like to eat I go can get something if you want." He stopped and lowered himself to the ground looking at Renem, he tilted his head. "I like your name Renem, it sounds musical." Blood_Goddess he listend to the Numa talk about the foods he liked. all the time nibbleing on the treat he had been given.
he blushed a little at the complament to his name "oh, thank you" he said a little shy "I like your name, i'v never heard one like it before"
"and i'm alright with food. I'v been looking for a place to find Dark chocolate. but so far my nose had not picked up anything" Kittyintheraiyn Xiang has a mommy complex! you know"Dark chocolate?" Xiang squee'd a little bit, "I love dark chocolate frogs! I can show you where to catch 'em if you want me to, or I can get one." He fluttered his wings in anticipation of fast flying.
He giggled again remembering, "My name is like my dad's name, I like it too." Blood_Goddess "oh" Renem said excitedly perking up "would you show me please?" he asked.
"what was your fathers name?" he asked as he got to his feet. face towards the ground Kittyintheraiyn "It's Xiao Lang." Xiang hopped in a circle and then pointed himself towards the river. "The frogs are a little far from here, the ones that I've found anyway, near the lake where the river comes off - along the bank." He sorta skips along as he talks looking back and circling around when the urge catches him. Blood_Goddess Renem started to follow. taking cautious steps. And just following the sound of skipping the new company he found was making. He knew this aria, so he was not to worried. But he didn’t know the aria Xiang was talking about. And going in new places with out Jedrek or Blood made him very nervous.
"so are they in the water?" he asked. Perhaps he could go swimming for a bit. Swimming usually made him less nervous. Kittyintheraiyn "Yea, in the water and also out too, they might be easier to catch in the water actually, I dunno but I'm not that great at swimming." Xiang kept talking as they walked towards the river, the grape soda fizzed as it rushed down stream.
"These wings drag to much, I used to like swimming when I was little. But the frogs are so cute they make a peeping noise at night when I've caught them on land." Blood_Goddess “Wings?” he asked confused “I didn’t know males had wings, the ones I’ve met don’t fly” he paused thinking for a moment “well… at least I don’t think they can”
He was feeling awkward again, yet another thing he didn’t know about the world.
He flushed a little closing his eyes and lowering his face out of embarrassment Kittyintheraiyn It was Xiang's turn to be embarrassed he blushed and his face grew hotter. "Ah, I'm just a special case I guess, I don't know how to explain it I was just made this way." Xiang moved closer to Renem bumping against him a little as they walked, "Don't worry about it, I like my wings." Xiang brushed a wing over the other males' back, "Listen we're getting closer, you hear that peep sound over the rush of the water? Maybe we'll get lucky." Blood_Goddess Surprised by the suddenly bump, then the feeling of the wings. So this Numa was just special… a male with wings. He wished for a moment that he could see them.
he remained silent listening carefully for the sounds that Xiang had described. Sure enough he heard them, not only that he was starting to pick up the faint scent of dark chocolate. He smiled “yeah I heard them!”
"and um... i think its cool your different to, if everyone was the same, it would be pretty boreing." Kittyintheraiyn For a moment Xiang just smiled, thinking that that sounded like something his mother had said, then he giggled, "I agree."
Xiang was excited to hunt the chocolate frogs he wanted to rush, but just walking along with Renem was nice too. "There are a lot of them out right now but they're real close to the water, most of them on the banks, they might all run for the water if we startle them." Blood_Goddess Renem paused, hearing all the frogs as they got closer
“I’ve never hunted them before. What do we do?” he asked, tilting his head toward Xiang
with out him meaning to his body was poised and ready to pounce on one that was being particularly noisy. But he didn’t move. Waiting for Xiang’s instructions Kittyintheraiyn Xiang lowered his voice and stayed near to Renem. "Ah, I've always just pounced and hoped for the best, I'm really not that great at catching them, once I chased them away from the water and got really lucky and caught two, and I've thought about swooping down on them from the air, that might work better now that I can fly easier, though maybe that's cheating?" -Hehe- He giggled not noticing the girlishness of it. "How would you do it Renem?" - 3367Nov 10, 2006 Blood_Goddess "Well, I don't see how that’s really cheating. You have wings, might as well use them"
He said under his breath to Xiang. Still focusing his attention mostly on the frog he was hearing closest to them.
"Pounce and hope for the best" he whispered once more. Might as well give that a try.
He pounced forward, toward where he heard the frog, bringing his paws down toward it, first, but all they hit was grass.
He blinked a couple of times, feeling the aria around it, hearing the frogs moving away from him. Then glanced back at Xiang, "I missed it" Kittyintheraiyn "But you were reeeeally close~!" Xiang forced himself to only -squee- inside and kept his voice at a whisper. "I'm gonna move away from you a bit and see if I can't catch one, but keep trying."
The frogs gathered in many numbers near the riverbank making a small racket with their -peep-peeping- a few would wander off from the bulk and far from the relative safety of the water and Xiang made those brave few his targets. After a couple of slightly noisey attempts an sneaking he had gotten near enough to try a pounce attack. Blood_Goddess Renem could ear Xiang as he hunted the frog he could not help but grin with amusement.
Sneaking around trying to hear out some more frogs, he found a small group of them. trying to remain quiet as he snuck toward them. When something hard smacked him in his face. "Ah!" he said startled, alerting the frogs and causing them to hop away.
Feeling what he had hit he frowned feeling the park of a chocolate tree. This was going to make things difficult for him.
Hearing the water, he got another idea. Kittyintheraiyn At Renem's yell Xiang's head came up from the ground causing the frog near him to dart away. "You okay Renem?" He saw the other male move away from a tree and he realizies what happened.
Not wanting to call attention to the other's mishap he takes to the air and flies as quietly as he can; watching to see if he can spot a better place to attack the dark frogs from. "Hmmm... Aha." Blood_Goddess “I’m alright” he replied “just didn’t know there where trees here” Moving along the shore where he could hear the frogs gathering, he chased them into the water, hearing the many little plops. When he was sure he had gotten enough in the water, he slipped in himself, disappearing under its surface.
As soon as he was under he floated there in the pulsing silence, every now and then, his sensitive ears picking up small swishes of the kicking frogs. His dark figure completely still, he lashed a claw out as he heard the swishing close by his chest. And was surprised to feel his paws wrap around something.
Excited he broke back though her surface and crawled onto land. Hoping that what he had in his hand was a frog. - 3387Kittyintheraiyn From the air Xiang watched Renem's tactics and he smiled wide when the lovely numa emerged from the water once again clutching something dark in his paws. Renem's gotten himself one, now it's my turn~ he thought. Turning in the air the firey male looked for a clump of frogs, if I dive at a large group I should be able to grab one at least... his thoughts mirrored his actions and as he dove the wind whistled softly with his speed. "Whee." He called out, flying was to fun and was excited to be sure. Blood_Goddess Renem heard Xiang cheer, turning his face up to where he guessed the winged Numa should be. He could hear the peeping frogs increase in noise.
Gripping the struggling creature firmly in his paws. He waited, listening carefully for how Xiang’s attempt would turn out. Kittyintheraiyn Just before he was close enough to pull up and swoop Xiang's burst of joy alerted the frogs and they went bounding off in different directions but he made a grab and caught a leg with his claws. "Yes~!" Xiang hissed out just as the frog slipped from his fingers "Noo."
He watched it fall thinking that it would get away like the others had but it hit the ground to hard and was still. Xiang turned and landed. He picked up the frog and was happy it was a dark frog and he wanted to share it with Renem right away but he remembered that the other had also caught one. "Renem," he called out and went along the ground to the dark male's side "I got one." Blood_Goddess Concerned about the ‘Noo’ that Xiang had say. He had thought that his hunt was not successful. Though with the approaching Numa saying that he had caught one Renem smiled wide “oh good job. Did you nearly lose it?” he asked tilting his head to the side.
He held up the one he had clasped in his claws and smiled “did I get one?” he asked, “I’ve never felt a frog before though it does not feel like a fish”
Kittyintheraiyn "Yea it slipped from my grasp, but I got it, the swoop worked." He smiled as he saw the chcolate frog in Renem's paws. "Yes you have a frog, I thought you would have eaten it already." He giggled. "Go ahead and taste it, you caught yours first." Xiang's own catch was melting slightly in his warm grasp, he had a idea to smear some of the choco onto marshmellow flowers thinking that the sweet flora would suit the bitterness of the frog. Blood_Goddess He smiled “oh I didn’t want to take the chance of biting into it and it not being a frog.”
It did not take him long however to take a bite of the frog, closing his eyes and smiling in content, happy he had been shown a dark chocolate source. He so loved the taste.
“Oh its perfect” he said, tossing the other half into his mouth. “Thank you for showing this place to me. It would have taken me a long time to find them. you must know this place very well” Kittyintheraiyn "I see." Xiang too ate his frog forgetting that he wanted to try it with flowers, the honest smile of his new friend was sweet enough. He really like it as it was and was already thinking of attempting to catch another. "You are welcome Renem, I guess I do know it because I've seen so much of it when flying... Ah sorry. Is there anything else you wanna do?" Blood_Goddess Half way though licking the palm of his paw he paused and thought for a moment.
“Um… nothing comes to mind,” he said lowering his paw and turning his face towards Xiang
“you know what’s around right? Would you be alright showing me some more places?” he asked timidly “o only if you want to… I’m aright with anything”
he was excited to have met someone that knew the aria, he had felt so lost since he got here. he had n idea how big this place was, and only tended to stick with arias he knew.
its not Like Jedrek knew, nore cared about this candy land. Kittyintheraiyn "Sure I don't mind at all." Xiang looked around in the fading light. "Well we can visit the Peep tree, it just up the hill from here, just so you know where it is, that is and there are some really good flowers growing near it too. Or if we cross the river we can go to the lollipop fields, they'll be so good to eat - later this month is the harvest, I can't wait." Xiang tried to think of something else that Renem might find interesting, so far he had only thought of good things to eat but there must be other things of interest, right? "Way off to the northeast is the Molasses swamp, I haven't visited that before, that might be an adventure if we went there, though I've heard it's dangerous but I don't know why..." Blood_Goddess Renem blinked a couple of times at the mention of the Molasses swamp.
“I’ve heard Jedrek muttering about that place. He seems to favor that place” he tilted his head to the side
“I wonder why others say its dangerous.” He thought for a moment. “Are they far?”
though he really wanted to visit the Peep tree, and the lollypop fields, and he didn’t exactly want to go wandering into lands that are rumored to be dangerous, he often wondered why Jedrek bragged out the molasses swamp. Kittyintheraiyn "It is kinda far, I've never even flown over it, my mom said I shouldn't go there, when I was little, so I've always just avoided it, maybe just because she didn't want me wandering that far? I dunno. Who's Jedrek?" Xiang twinged a little when he tossed on that last part, he was only curious because he didn't know many other numa and he hoped it didn't sound rude. Blood_Goddess “oh, Jedreks, a Numa I usually stay with. I… suppose you could call him a friend. Though he does not do much with me, and always seems kind of distant. I’m told he’s a Coffee addict. Not sure what those are, but he smells pretty funny so maybe that has something to do with it.” Renem smiles softly “maybe I could introduce you to him sometime”
if the molasses swamp was as far away as Xiang said it was, then it was probably best to stick around the arias… but maybe someday they could go to the molasses swamp.
“well… maybe we should put off the Molasses swamp for now… I like the sound of the lollypop fields,” Kittyintheraiyn Xiang let out a relieved sigh before his mood lifted and he smiled, he added a giggle which he had decided was a smile that you could hear, Xiang didn't realize that his giggle sounded quite girly. "Oh umm yea I'd like that, its nice to meet new numa I mean."
Xiang fidigeted a little. "Maybe another day we could go and visit it then when its day out, or we could bring a group," now he was sure he was just rambling, "but for now on to the lollipops!" Xiang when up on his hind legs flapping his wings a bit and looking around. "If we cross the river here and keep going west I'm sure well come to it really soon." Blood_Goddess Renem gasped eyes going wide. he leaned forward slightly "that’s a great idea!" he smiled hoping slightly "if we get a group! it would be an amazing adventure." though, he would prefer to go at night... since he was able to see dark shadows at night. he understood that others saw better during the day.
Grinning and thinking more about the idea of a little adventure group, he shifted his body to the side. Heading in the way he guessed was the way Xiang mentioned
"This way?" he asked
(wrong way XD) Kittyintheraiyn Xiang had only suggested 'when it was day out' because he didn't like the glow he gave off at night, well he always glowed just a bit but others could see it better at night. It made him self conscious when others pointed out his large wings or the fact that he 'glowed in the dark'.
With an affectionate smile Xiang circled around Renem, brushing against the other male's body walking with him to turn him in the right direction. "We have to cross the river here. I'm not a big swimmer so I'm gonna fly over to cross, I'll land again on the other side."
From the air Xiang looked down at Renem and thought that he looked like a bit of fallen sky. He glows just a little bit too. Blood_Goddess Confused at first as he felt Xiang brushing up against him. He blushed and laughed nervously as he was directed in the other direction “ah… Right” he laughed again and moved on. “Alright, see you on the other side” he said, sliding carefully in the river and swimming to the other side. Crawling back up and shaking his fur out, he sniffed around listening carefully for any sign of Xiang. Kittyintheraiyn Touching down lightly near Renem Xiang couldn't help but stare at the other for a moment. He opened his mouth to say something but then shut it again.
...
"Um anyway, this way Renem." Xiang began walking semi slowly in the direction of the Lollipop fields he knew where they were even if he couldn't see them clearly, he could sure smell them. Blood_Goddess crying sho cute Twitching his head fins he turned in the direction he heard Xiang land, and smiled, waiting for more instructions. “Alright” he started following the footsteps of Xiang up, grateful to hear that he was walking a little slower for him. It didn’t take long to pick up the very distinct smell.
“Oh! I can smell them. Are we close?” he asked excitedly. Perking his head up a little.
Kittyintheraiyn "Yea..." Xiang had dropped his voice to a whisper, "Real close, but still a way off too." They just had to climb a hill together and the field would spread out for miles and miles of lollipops growing tall. Blood_Goddess "Do we have to be quiet?" Renem asked in a whisper as well. Curious as to why Xiang had dropped the volume of his voice.
Not expecting the ground to change to a slope he tripped, legs sliding under his body.
Embarrassed he scrambled up onto his feet again, blushing and continuing on Kittyintheraiyn Xiang blushed, his cheeks felt hotter than usual. "N-no. I just get quiet when I'm thinking." His voice had grown a little stronger this time but not near as loud as it had been.
As they walked together Xiang wished there was something he could do for Renem, something that he could do that no one else could, something to help the lovely night sky pelt numa. He also thought that he should say something but he couldn't get out what he wanted to say and nothing else of interest came to mind. Blood_Goddess (let me know when it becomes darn in the RP alright ^_^)
“Oh all right” Renem said speaking normally now. Made sense though maybe he should speak softer too, and let Xiang think better to.
“Do you find all these places while flying?” he asked
finding he was drifting he paused listening for Xiang’s foot falls, then moved closer towards them as not to get lost.
“is it easier to see things from up in the sky?”
Kittyintheraiyn Xiang was quiet for a little bit longer then he answered Renem's questions smoothly, his voice still soft but no longer a whisper. He made sure to stay near enough to the other so that he could watchout for dangers but away enough that he didn't bump onto him with everyother step.
"I guess I do find things easier from the air, its like standing at the top of a hill you can see farther with everything spread out below you, ya know." Xiang stopped and bit his tongue. "I mean, I'm sorry, ah... I guess you wouldn't know what I mean, that is..."
Xiang looked at Remen and wondered at his glowing eyes, the firey male thought that those sliver orbs were even more beautiful now that it was fully dark, the stars above were out full strength but the moon had yet to rise. Blood_Goddess It must have been dark now. Slowly, very slowly, dark shadows starting swimming into his vision. He liked it when it was dark, he avoided running into things easier, and could actually tell where someone was when he was talking to them.
Though they where not distinct shapes, it was better to know where they where, then nothing at all.
He just smiled softly as Xiang became uneasy about the “seeing” comment.
“its alright,” he said chucking “I’m used to not seeing, so its not like I know what I’m missing, besides, I can smell and hear better then anyone I know, so that’s my gift” he turned to look at the shadowy clump that was Xiang, and was surprised to notice it was actually easier to make out then everything out. There was at least more of a shape then everything else. Blinking in astonishment his mouth falling open slightly
“um…”
Kittyintheraiyn Eee cute~! "Okay." Xiang had turned to look back at Renem, "I hope I don't smell weird or anythin..." and stopped short when he saw that the other's mouth had dropped open. "Do I smell girly?" Blood_Goddess He didn’t reply for a moment. But closing his eyes and shaking his head to snap him out of it. Also in reply to his question
“No, no you smell nice… its just… a… are you glowing by any chance?” he asked timidly.
It had not happened often. But something object that would glow had more of a defined shape then anything else at night.
He had never heard, or met a glowing Numa before. And it gave him a better idea of what Numa looked like.
Eyes still wide, staring strait at Xiang. A swell of emotions rose up inside of him. Other then feel, he had never known what a Numa would look like, and he had accepted that he would never see one.
Slumping down slightly rounding shoulders that where shaking, glowing tears swelled into his blind eyes as he franticly tried to brush them away.
Kittyintheraiyn Xiang was trying to be funny but he let it go when he realizied, or thought he realizied that Renem could maybe see his glow, see him. He moved to Renem and placed a paw on his face lifting his chin to meet his eyes, when he spoke his voice had dropped to a whisper again, filled with wonder. "Yea, I do glow, like a fire, a warmth radiates from me. You see it, can you see me?" He wiped the tears from Renem's face. Blood_Goddess He could not stop the tears. Feeling Xiang’s hands caressing the tears that escaped his eyes away. He reaches out his own shaking paws, to touch Xiands face, knowing where his features where.
“I… I can see your shape,” he said in a shaking weak voice “I- I-“ he choked crying softly “I’ve never seen- anyone like this before”
he lower his head down, clutching to Xiang, putting his head on the glowing Numa’s shoulder. “I’ve never seen-“ he continued to stammer though sobs.
Kittyintheraiyn Xiang was happy, he had felt something for this numa since he had first met him, he wasn't sure exactly what it was but he felt a warmth that didn't come from his fiery nature.
"Renem. I. I'm happy for you. I wanted to do something for you, something grand. Something more than this. If there is anything, anything at all just let me know." Xiang hesitated, he hoped in his heart that Renem would not take his action the wrong way, he placed a chaste kiss on the night sky numa's cheek and then he just held Renem to him, Xiang thought that that was the best thing for now, to let the other cry, such emotions where best let out. Blood_Goddess He blushed very dark at being kissed; he had never been kissed before. But he continued to cry is Xiang’s arms for a while.
Finally pulling back and rubbing his soaking eyes and cheeks. He lifted his eyes to look at Xiang’s form. Still blushing, he smiled sheepishly and let out a couple of weak laughs, his emotions slightly drained from being so happy, and his crying session.
“I I’m sorry Xiang” he said, “I just… I’ve never seen someone like this before.”
He took a deep breath to calm himself
“b but thank you…” he said timidly turning his face to the ground.
Kittyintheraiyn Xiang's own cheeks had grown a bit hotter, his own version of a blush, but it felt alright.
"No need to apologize Renem or thank me, I just hope those were happy tears," here he giggled "but I meant what I said."
Every word, even the ones I can't say to you yet.
Blood_Goddess He sniffled, smiling, and feeling very warm inside, something he had never felt around anyone else before.
Xiang was the first that seemed to really want to help him. Even if Jedrek did help him, there was an emptiness to him, something Renem felt was missing from his so called brother, but not with Xiang.
Renem nodded sniffing again with another weak laugh.
“Yes, they where happy” he said “just kind of snuck up on me”
he reached up, and touched the cheek that Xiang had kissed, blushing a little more as he turned his face down.
Kittyintheraiyn "Do you wanna keep going? The fields are really close now." Xiang really didn't want Renem to leave his embrace but he felt he should suggest it, not wanting to rush his feelings on the other. Blood_Goddess Renem nodded wordlessly, gathering himself before he turned back up he smiled.
“Yes, I would like to go on,” he blinked a couple of times, and turned his face towards the sweet smell of the field
“We’ve come this far. And it smells so lovely”
Kittyintheraiyn Reluctantly Xiang moved from the spot, he felt if he didn't move now that he would have rooted to the spot, content to not go any farther. But after one step and then another he felt his heart rise as if it would fly away without him, there was hope.
He waited for Renem to begin walking with him, no longer content to lead, he walked with the night sky next to him as they came upon the field of lollipops, acres and acres of ripe candy lay before them. Blood_Goddess Renem felt comfortable walking next to Xiang, it was a change now not being led. And he loved night for this reason. Where he didn’t need to be led so much, since he could avid most things that loomed to close.
As Xiang paused, he did as well. It seemed the had reached the top of the hill, tilting his head to the side, it was amazing; the smell was just fantastic when one was actually in front of it.
“Oh wow” he gasped sniffing at the air
Kittyintheraiyn Xiang closed his eyes and just let the smell waft over them, his heart beat fast and burned softly in his chest, he was happy that he had gotten the courage to slow down enough to walk next to Renem, it was nice and he was sure Renem might think the same, he never meant to always be leading, he was just nervous. "Yea." Blood_Goddess “Does it always smell like this?”
Renem asked, turning his head from the Lollypops to look at the well-defined shadowed form of Xiang.
Renem could not help but to smile as he looked at him.
Kittyintheraiyn Xiang bobbed his head yes, "It gets better as the nights get colder I think." Xiang's maw mirrored Renem's in it's smile. Xiang felt so light and happy, is down mood from moments before forgotten. Blood_Goddess Renem’s smile only got wider. He turned his nose back towards the lollypops, scooting a little closer to Xiang
“Thank you” he said softly “Thank you for showing this to me”

Kittyintheraiyn 4366- 4367Feb 01, 2007 liela_dragon_rayne Azami: -flutters about not to high above the ground towards some flowers. she sits and starts to pick some, humming as she does so- Kittyintheraiyn Xiang lies face down sleeping among the flowers. liela_dragon_rayne Azami: epp! -she steps back abit seeing there was someone laying there. she paused and looked down towards the other numa, sniffing abit. she smells the chinnmon(sp?) and smiles- hello... Kittyintheraiyn Xiang rolled over and blinked sleepily up as Azami, "Hullo?" liela_dragon_rayne Azami: -smiled at the sleepy eyed numa- hello xiang, having a good nap? Kittyintheraiyn "I was." He grined and blushed just a tiny bit, his face going a shade brighter. "Nice dreams." liela_dragon_rayne "=o really?" she tilts her head to the side abit "you can remember your dreams?" she placed her cheek against her plam "i've tryed to remember my dreams once" ^^' she scratches the top of her head "but...never could remember. what were you dreaming, xiang?" Kittyintheraiyn Sitting up Xiang spoke softly in his effeminate voice, "I don't always remember my dreams, but I remember this one, it's more of a daydream than anything, and it's kinda..." Here he blushed more, Azami would probably notice. "silly." liela_dragon_rayne Azami crouched abit clasping her hands together. her mouth formed an o shape. she stepped closer to xiang all curious like "kind a what?" she noticed his coloring changing abit brighter. she blinked a few times "what's silly, xiang?" Kittyintheraiyn Xiang rubbed the sleep from his eyes with the back of one paw before looking up at Azami. "I like to dream about having pups, Renem and my pups." His face grew hotter and he looked away. He was being much to honest and he didn't know her that well, but he knew that Renem considered her a friend, and she had asked so sincerely.
"Isn't that silly?" liela_dragon_rayne "8o ohhh...." she blinked a few and smiled wagging her tail "why no...i dont think it's silly at all" she lets out a dreamy sigh "i wish to have pups myself someday too" she shakes her head and places her paw behind her head ^^' "but...i guess that well be awhile for me..." Kittyintheraiyn Xiang smiled brightly his embarrassment passing easily, "You never know Azami, before I met Renem, I didn't even think about pups, so the Swan only know." He giggled. "What about you, what do you dream about?" He patted the ground in front of him silently inviting her to sit. liela_dragon_rayne Azami nodded and sat next to xiang "well...i'm not really sure. the only thing i can remember is seeing pretty butterflies and then i wake up" she shurgs and looks over towards xiang "do you really think so? i dont really see that many males around" Kittyintheraiyn "I mean for the future, what do you want I guess." He folded his arms and rested his head on them, thinking over what she'd said, unsure. "Oh I do think so, I mean, I umm don't think it won't happen." He tilted his head the other way. "You know Renem and I are both male, well mostly," he laughs "I don't think gender matters. Love is love. It just happens to you, you could go looking for it for ages and then one day turn around and find the numa of your dreams was right under your nose." liela_dragon_rayne "hmm...." she tipped her paw on her chin, thinking about what xiang had asked " well...that is a good question. i've never thought about it" she blinked and nods "well...i dont know. i do like someone but......nevermind" she looks towards the sky "i'm sure i'll find that special someone or someones" she covered her mouth with her paws and giggled Kittyintheraiyn "Someones?" Xiang questioned he had heard of numa three mating but not anyone that he knew personally, it seemed an odd concept to him with his eyes and heart so full of Renem. He lay back gently into the grass and looked to the fluffy clouds that filled the expanse above them. liela_dragon_rayne She looked down towards xiang "well....i dont know. it could happen, couldnt it?" she blinked softly "i mean...what if you fallen in love with two instead of just one? what would you do?" she beings to ponder it Kittyintheraiyn "I haven't though about that, I don't know that I'll ever feel the same way about anyone else like how I feel about Renem, I'm not saying that it couldn't happen, but... I just met Renem, I'm not looking for another love." He had his eyes closed and was adjusting the metal band he wore on his forehead so it wouldn't rub against his horns, it irritated him when it did. liela_dragon_rayne Azami smiled and giggled. reaching over and rubs xiang's head band then his forehead "thats true. and thats true about your first answer....so, it could happen. just like it happen with you and renem" she turns slowly lowering her ears Kittyintheraiyn Xiang's eyes popped open when he felt her hand briefly on him, he'd thought that the heat from his hair was enough to burn, as it did to the flora sometimes, like now the grass about his head was starting to wilt. He sat up slightly, "You okay Azami?" the concern in his voice plain. liela_dragon_rayne Azami suddenly turned looking towards xiang. her ears perked up. she looked towards him with curiousity. blinking a few times "why yes....i'm fine xiang. why you ask?" Kittyintheraiyn He took her paw and turned it over, but it seemed she wasn't burned, he let out a breath of relief and released her hand. "I just didn't want you to be burned, you looked hurt for a second."
Attempting to change the subject he inquired about the 'someone' she liked, "So who's your secret special guy, do I know him?" Xiang smiled, "Unless you don't wanna say, that's fine too, I just wonder if I could, maybe help." liela_dragon_rayne She blushed lowering her ears and blinking. she looked towards xiang then to the side, she didnt think about but then gave him a sweet smile "ohh...why thank you xiang. but, no i'm fine" she moved her paw hand "see, no worries" she choked abit back looking away with her ears lowered. she couldnt just tell him, she didnt know how he would react "well....umm...i dont know...." Kittyintheraiyn 4386 - 4387, 4389, 4395 - 4396Kittyintheraiyn Xiang giggled girlishly. "No pressure Azami, I don't know how good my advice would be anyway." He plucks up a flower and eats it petal by petal, humming between and letting them melt on his tongue. liela_dragon_rayne Azami's ears perked up seeing him eat a flower. she stepped abit closer to him. her hands clasps together "what are you eating, xiang?" she twitched her nose then sniffed abit. looking towards him curiously Kittyintheraiyn "My favorite since I was little," he hands her one and then lies back again, "marshmallow flowers," he giggles, "I used to eat them burnt but I like them this way too." liela_dragon_rayne She takes the flower and sniffs it. she nibbles it, she soons giggles bopping up and down clapping her hands "that was yummy. I've never tried them. thank you. how does it taste melted?" Kittyintheraiyn "The same, but, different." He turns on his side and plucks another from among dirt and holds it in his paw until it becomes soft and melty before handing it to her. "Try it." liela_dragon_rayne She tilts her head abit, then takes the toastie treat and put it in her mouth. she chewed and giggled "it's...so..gouey(sp?)" she muttered as she chewed. she smiled happily making her cheeks puffed out she then licked her lips "Mmm...that was yummy too" Kittyintheraiyn Xiang laughes at the faces Azami makes while eating the melted marshmellow, "You are so silly, 'zami, I'm sure anyone would like you if they got to know you well." Now he toasted a flower to a blackened state, "Try it like this, I'll warn you though, you might not like it." liela_dragon_rayne Azami sniffed the toastie treat and then takes the roasted marshmellow. she puts it in her mouth and chews it "hmm....it has a rather paticular taste to it. but it's still yummy when you get to the middle" She smiles Kittyintheraiyn Xiang laughs again, "I liked the outside best, when I was young I'd pull of the blackened bits and eat them, then blacken it again." He shakes his head, "That's what they get for giving a pup fire to play with." He flicks his bangs out of his face with a grin. liela_dragon_rayne Azami laughed "like marshmellow chips. that's sound all yummy" She twitched her nose and looked towards him with curiousity "fire?" she looked about him seeing the fire flames float about him "wow" Kittyintheraiyn Xiang quirked an eyebrow at her, "Like you didn't notice before that my head is a flame?" He felt a twitch of annoyance but let it pass. He shakes his head. "Girls are weird..." liela_dragon_rayne "i'm sorry" she scratched behind her head, looking towards the ground "it wasnt my intention too...." she sighed feeling abit embrassed(sp?) "nevermind...." she stepped abit back Kittyintheraiyn Realizing he'd said that out loud to late, he quickly apologized, "I'm sorry I meant no offense, just I don't understand girls... Why are you sorry?" He leans up on an elbow, confused as to why she moves away from him, was he getting hotter? He tried to back down his heat mentally. liela_dragon_rayne Azami shook her head softly looking up slowly her head still hung low. "no reason...i just didnt want to say you were different...i guess...i dont know..." she rubs the back side of her hand Kittyintheraiyn Xiang put his head down and lifted a paw to scratch behind an ear, shifting positions to sit cross legged. "You wouldn't be the first, or the last..."
He looks up at her, "I like being different Azami, everyone is - to different degrees, maybe... mine just show more than others. I think we'd be good friends 'zami but you'll have to be honest with me." Here he smiles brightly "Being honest is something that shines out from you and people really know you and will like you more just cause you are you." he pauses. "That kinda sounds like a fortune cookie, but I really believe it to be true." liela_dragon_rayne Azami looked up towards him her mouth formed an o shape. she blinked softly nodding softly as well "i guess so. so...am i different?" she was now curious she then lowered her ears hearing his words. she shallowed deeply twirled her fingers "really....well...i do want to tell you who i like...but...i dont know" she looked towards the ground then back up towards him Kittyintheraiyn "That's not exactly what I meant either, you are allowed to keep your secrets," He shook his head to emphasize. "Being honest is more than just telling everything. Like, if you thought that burnt flowers tasted weird, you can say so without hurting my feelings, as an example." He was still sitting in the flowers, but had lost the nap urge, his tail twitched beneath him. liela_dragon_rayne Azami looked towards the ground her paw close to her chin "hmm....i see" she looked up towards him "true...but, i guess i somewhat want to tell you. but..." she fiddles her fingers "i guess...i'll wait to tell you" she nods and looks towards him a smile "but i didnt, i rather liked them" Kittyintheraiyn "That's why I said 'as an example'," He stuck out his tongue just a little. "Anyway whenever you feel you are ready, or I'm ready, or whatever, I'll do my best to lend an ear and some advice, what are friends for?"
He stood and stretched his wings, "So what else do you like to do besides confuse others?" liela_dragon_rayne Azami giggled her right paw near her chin "i see" she stood and nodded "i well xiang. and it's great that you consider me your friend. i dont have many. i mean...i've meet Meir but i havent seen him for awhile. and then theres renem...and you" she looked downs abit then shook her head and smiled towards him "am i that confusing? haha...dont mean to be. hmm..." she stop to think "well...i guess i like to discover and learn about all the different flowers. and make new friends. what about you, xiang?" Kittyintheraiyn "I may look like a girl, but I'm not one, shall I say again, females confuse me, so it's me and not you, but short answer, yes." Content with his stretch he began to move forward sure that Azami would follow, "I like exploring, and finding new things to eat, but I've done that alone before, it was fun until I met Renem, exploring alone just isn't the same, but I also like learning new things, so what do you say, wanna show me some interesting flowers?" liela_dragon_rayne ^^' Azami scratches her head "haha....oh, i see. my bad....XD i guess i confuse myself sometimes" She scretched her wings abit then she starts to flutter abit above the ground following xiang "=o really?!! i so would love to have someone explore and discover new things with. XD ehh! haha" she did a roll and went to hug xiang before fluttering ahead of him "oh i would love to show you. i found a very interesting one" Kittyintheraiyn He shrugged off her hug, "Is it close by or far from here?" Then he laughed and took to the air, "heh, lead on." liela_dragon_rayne Azami giggled and nodded flying abit ahead of him "it's not to far. and it's yummy as well" she lead the way to a small patch that looked like a cloud on the ground. she landed and looked up waiting for xiang "it's here, come look" Kittyintheraiyn Xiang followed after Azami and landed next to her, he looked around. "Who's been knocking clouds outta the sky now?" liela_dragon_rayne XD "haha..." she laughed "i thought the same thing when i saw it. but when i took some home. my owner told me it was cotton candy. 8D i've discovered cotton candy blossoms" she swung her arms out wide in excitment "their yummy!"

Feb 13, 2007 Inner Wishes.
 Ever since the idea occurred to him, Xiang wanted to have pups with Renem, Re's bebbies was how he referred to them, he wanted to be as good a parent as his own parents were, kind and to know just what to say when his little ones needed to hear it.
Sometimes he would daydream, nothing highly specific, but maybe, if they had a little girl - would she be a calm pup, or would she be hyperactive and always into something? If they had more than one - would the siblings get along, he'd always gotten along with his litter when they were together. He liked to think far into the future, their babies would grow up, he wished happiness to them, whoever they were and to their future mates.
When he woke up the dreams would linger with him and he was happy to have Re and his other friends, so close to his heart.
Tonight though he didn't have a space in his mind for anyone but Renem, they went together, silent, solemn, not needing words between them, to pray to the swan. It was the eve before Valentines; you could feel the emotions in the air - running high. He kneeled at the base of the tree and with all of his heart and mind prayed. What the words were, afterwards he couldn't quite remember, it wasn't how he said them that was important, he thought, the prayer was pure emotion, inner wishes.
As they left the island tears formed in Xiang's eyes, there was never the thought in his mind that their prayers would not make it to the swan, it was all just a matter of time, the right time, and their prayer would be answered.

"Zenith..." Fiara just flits near her flamey brother with a grin on her face. I am THE Kitsune Zenith: *unaffected by her closeness he gins in feigned excitement* DEAR sister! *he grabs her into a hug, putting a sticky marshmallow note in her back that says "I'm pretentious"* He does this to her because he loves her of course. Kittyintheraiyn Fiara snorts, dissolving into giggles, unable to hold a straight face for too long. She hugs him back unaware that there is more candy stuck in her fur, "Hey Ze," she ruffles his hair and tweaks an ear, still flitting airborne, "what are you up to? Causin' trouble~" Skyefenyx Ashe: -waves to Fiara- Fiara! <3 I ssee you've kweh grown asss well!

"Ze the day you behave is the day I go swimming." She rolls her eyes, "I'm up to nothing in particular, but it's such a nice day today, don't you think?" Skyefenyx Ashe: -grins- I sssee you have figured kweh flying out. -takes off and floats next to her- What do you kweh think? -laughs-

The light was too strong for his sensitive eyes and often caused him much pain, however at night he could see very clearly* However, I'm tempted to behave simply to see you go swimming, which honestly would be a paradox because I would do it to cause trouble, therefore it wouldn't truly be behaving... but would you know that? Fiara Spike Jayce Figaro - in thread sillyness 5671 - 5An addition to "Let it burn"Jul 30, 2007 Fiara had flown as fast as she could with every intention of returning to Ashe with the promised medicine. High above the trees the with all of Numa land spread out under her was usually a sight that made her pause to take it all in but not this night. Spotting easily the area that she called home with her fathers Fiara angled her wings and dove, Xiang was outside and cooking as she grew closer she could see him at the campfire, prepping that huge black pot in the fading light.
Landing with a loud exhalation of breath formed into a question Fiara's expression was clearly distressed, "Daddy, where is that vera plant, that we use for burns?"
Xiang answered automatically, "There are some fresh leaves in with the other medicines-" and was cut short when Fiara rushed away and into the cave. Xi followed after if a little less swiftly and found Fiara rummaging through the cabinet where the first aid box was kept. "Are you hurt?" His expression was unsure as he addressed the back of his daughter's head, she had found the box and already fished out the leaves when she turned, stood and answered."I'm not burned today, Da. If that's what you're worried about-" The hurt in her tone was not easy to ignore and Xiang didn't try, but he also didn't comment on it and so once again Fiara didn't push. She's wanted to brush past her father and head straight back to the waiting Ashe, but then the chance to talk with her fiery father was possibly appealing, he had let her down in the past but trying again, always again, hoping that this time, his knowledge or experience or something might be gifted, maybe he could shed some light for Fiara, maybe. She walked back out into the night heading towards the small fire and sitting against the rocks there, where Xiang did his prep and cooking.In the kitchen Xiang had replaced the box into the cupboard and then gathered onto a tray the three bowls of ingredients for a second try at his latest recipe. Upon returning outside he was mildly surprised to find that Fiara was still there, he didn't know what to say, he'd thought that she'd be gone again, off trying to understand her fire or whatever it was that she had been doing in the forest. Xiang couldn't quiet grasp himself what it was she wanted to learn, her paw was aflame, as her feather had been, it was a part of who she was, how she would be. Her flame lit brother didn't have any questions as to why his own tail was lit, thought Xiang though he tried to put it out of his mind the fact that he had not seen hair nor spark of his youngest since his puppyhood days, he had heard that the boy had grown up and had grown in a lovely set of wings with color and size to rival even his own so he figured that he was okay and would return someday, maybe with a family of his own, maybe that was what kept him away... Xiang had continued with his actions of prepping the foodstuffs, peeling the stems from the flowers and berries as he was lost in thought.Fiara interrupted her fathers thinking without apology nor even an inkling of his worried wonderment. "I met up with an old friends of mine today, out in the forest," Fiara knew that he father didn't think much of her actions deep in the woods, so she didn't go into unwanted details with him, "we were catching up, just talking and then," Fiara tried to meet her father's eye but even if he was splitting his attention between his task and her, he didn't quite seem to look her way when she wanted him to. "Then when she took my hand to help me up," Fiara extended her right paw, palm to the dark sky, "I burned her Da, that's never happened before, not with you, not with Re-daddy, not with Jayce or even Zenith." Her words came tumbling out full of emotion but she wasn't reduced to tears, having much more to say, she didn't stop to let her father talk. "I burn things that I don't want to, I don't care if I burn myself, that I've gotten used to, but this, this is just to much. She said it was her choice, she said that she was okay, but I saw the pain in her face. I want to be her friend, I want to be close to her, but I can't accept burning anyone that I want to be close to." Fiara had summed it all up as best she could, "And that's the way it is, Da." She closed her mouth and looked expectantly at her father but he didn't give her much of an answer and disappointed she murmured a 'bye', she'd been gone for longer than she'd wanted to and felt that the time was a waste, she realized to late that she should have returned swiftly like she had promised, for when she returned, Ashe's house was dark and still.

(continued) Kittyintheraiyn D nodded and disappeared around the corner to head up the stairs and to his room. honey.roasted.ferrets Doc stood at the top of the stairs, staring down at them coldly. When he heard D at the bottom he quickly turned and headed to his own room, pausing in the doorway. He'd heard bits and parts of the conversation, the parts that weren't whispered. Mostly Yuki spoke in a clear high pitched tone that was easy to hear. A conversation about mates, him being D's forever... He didn't really know what to think about it, though it did annoy him for them to talk behind his back. But he stood there stiff for a moment and glanced at D as he reached the top of the stairs. Kittyintheraiyn D had started humming as he took the stairs going slowly up, taking them one at a time, a 180 from the trip down then just earlier, he paused and stumbled over the last step at seeing Murdoc there in the doorway to his room, he didn't land on his face this time but the guilty expression on his face might have been hidden in the surprise as he caught himself on the banister. "Mur-doc, I, hi, didn't know ye were home." honey.roasted.ferrets Doc just stared at him for a moment, his gaze intense and knowing. It wasn't particularly angry, nor sad, an odd mix of the two, maybe. But he moved into his room quickly and closed the door, moving to slink over to his bed and sit on it. He didn't lay down, and he wondered if D would follow him. He wasn't sure if he wanted him to or not... he stared coldly at the floor and scowled. Kittyintheraiyn D was feeling brave from having just listened to Yuki, he made his way over to the door, the thought that Murdoc might have over heard lingered at the very back of his mind as he knocked on the door, and with paw on the handle he popped the door just a crack, "'ey? Kin I come in?" honey.roasted.ferrets The male just grunted and continued staring at the floor, becoming stiffer when D stepped inside. He didn't move to shoo him out, but he wasn't exactly welcoming.. Kittyintheraiyn D let the door swing open and stood in the doorway trying to judge the dark male's mood, all the courage he felt began leaking away but slowly and so after a few ticks D went and sat on the bed near to Doc, he didn't lean into him or curl against him, he sat stiffly all the previous ideas he had drifted away with his courage, he opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out at first until, "Ye hear 'bout it? Yuki and Jayce, they mated." honey.roasted.ferrets "Yea." He continued to stare at the floor, eyes half lidded and still cold. "It's great. The faggots are together now." Doc hadn't called Yuki and Jayce names like that since him and D had started really getting close. His tone was bitter and sarcastic. Kittyintheraiyn The words stung, D clammed up, loosing that train of thought completely, he scooted off the bed but didn't leave the room. Instead he puttered about, touching different things, trailing his nails over the strings of the old guitar and listening to the sound. He was biting his lip to keep from retorting something that would cause them to fight but when he huffed, an attempt to loose his own bitter words, instead they were voiced. "How kin ye jus' say it like that?" honey.roasted.ferrets Doc scowled and stood to face him, finally looking at him and angry. Still, his voice was sarcastic. "Like I bloody say everything else, I open my foul mouth and speak." Kittyintheraiyn D had turned and was looking at Murdoc questioningly, he was mad but what for, D couldn't think of anything that he'd done today, besides talking with Yuki. D blinked. "You mad that Yuki's leavin'?" honey.roasted.ferrets "No..." He scowled again and turned away from him, huffing slightly. "I'm glad the ******** is leave. His giggling bullshit makes me nauseous." Kittyintheraiyn D moved around so that he was in front of and not behind Murdoc, "Then wots got you?" He was concerned and in the mood to press the issue. honey.roasted.ferrets Doc scowled and glared down at him, and before he had realized it his paw was in the air and it whirled around, landing on the other male's cheek hard. The sound of the slap echoed through the room and even more through Doc's mind. His eyes widdened and he stepped back, regretting the abuse. He hadn't hit D in such a long time. Kittyintheraiyn Eyes closed, one paw up to cup his cheek and the other over that to fend off the other blow if it was coming, D stood still, he'd stepped back to catch himself but he didn't move after that, only his ragged breathing was heard for the extended moment, he didn't cry out or shut down. "Wot the ********?" D lifted his eyes to meet Murdoc's silently daring him to do it again. honey.roasted.ferrets Murdoc breathed slowly, staring back at him, looking furious, but this time not at the other male. He clenched his fist and waved it at him, but didn't hit him. "See? Why the ******** would you want to be my mate?? What the ******** could I give you other than pain?! I don't deserve any of it, why should we even try?!" Kittyintheraiyn D's eyes came open and he realized, Murdoc had heard. He dropped his arms from his face though his cheek stung, he'd had worse, such worse and not in blows, he could stand it. D didn't flinch when the fist was waved in his face, "You think I care 'bout any of that? If you don't want it, I can accept that, I thought it could bring us closer. But I can't- I can't just let you question the why. I love you, Murdoc, dammit. Yea, yer like ice to everyone, ye hate everyfing, but yer not jus that. Yer not. Yer so much more than wot you ever let anyone else see. Ye opened me eyes te th music like I'd of never dreamed and yer jus, yer just. so. I need you." honey.roasted.ferrets The brown male was breathing harder now, heaving and glaring at D. "You're so bloody stupid! What are you, some dog? No matter what I do to you, you'll come back to lick my feet!? You deserve better than that! I can't give you all that, love and tender things. How can you be so ******** dense? I almost killed you! Mating is for people that are normal, that can do that!" Kittyintheraiyn The urge to hit Murdoc came and went, D had never really been the violent type, but his hackles were up now and his voice too, "I ain't stupid, and I'm bloody not a sodden dog. Is that wot you think of me really? Out with it right now, you think I want to lick yer feet, you think I want flowers or poems? I know this ain't normal, ye know, I know that! Bot guess wot? I ain't dead! I ain't normal! And I don't want it that way!" honey.roasted.ferrets "No, dumbass! I don't, not now, but..." Doc scowled down at him, stepping closer, glaring right back. "You can say without a doubt then, that if we were mated, you wouldn't ever regret it? You wouldn't want more? Because I ******** can't change. I tried, but I just can't go all the way like that." Kittyintheraiyn "Never. Never." D was shaking but his voice was back at normal levels, "I don't want you changing," one paw came up and gripped at Murdoc's chest fur, "without a doubt." honey.roasted.ferrets Doc stared down at him for a moment, his expression slowly softening. Finally his arm moved to wrap around D's waist, and he pulled him close. He sighed and hugged him. He didn't understand D sometimes... But he was glad he was like this. He was silent for a moment, then he reached up with one paw and gripped one of his horns, snapping off the tip. He stared at it for a moment, then held it down to D. Kittyintheraiyn D blinked, ceasing his shaking and let himself be hugged. Still gripping onto Murdoc's fur he leaned his head on the other, taking what he could get, there weren't many moments like this. When Murdoc moved, D leaned back to watch, quiet while the horn was snapped and then offered to him. D put his hand on Murdoc's to take it but he held to and shifted in the embrace, "And you," D held the piece and Murdoc's fingers, "won't regret it," he brought his own paw up to his horn and tried to snap off a chunk, though he couldn't break it. honey.roasted.ferrets His eyebrows knitted together and he watched D. He couldn't help but smirk when he couldn't break off a piece. Instead of responding he pulled him closer, pulling him into one of those cliché kissing dips that they do in movies, though instead of kissing him he moved his mouth over his horn, using his sharpened green teeth to grip and grind against the tip of his horn, chipping off a small chunk. The taste flooded into his mouth instantly, starting to dissolve like candy. The taste was similar to what his blood and flesh tasted like, but stronger and more intoxicating. It was a taste only meant for him. He greedily let himself lick and gnaw at it for a moment before standing strait, letting go of the thinner male while licking his lips. Kittyintheraiyn D would have tried harder to chip his own horn, but when he was dipped it was much better. His balance was thrown off and he clung hard to Murdoc so that he wouldn't end up on the floor, the sensation of having his horn chewed was nothing like the kisses they shared, he didn't feel anything but dizzy. D moved the piece to his mouth and was happily surprised that the taste was brilliant and awful at the same time, when righted he was still clutching Doc and he gave a giddy little chuckle. "Wow, huh?" He blinked at Murdoc and let himself grin. honey.roasted.ferrets The sharp toothed male stared at his new mate for a few moments, the taste lingering in his mouth. When it started to fade he stepped closer and snatched D up, half carrying half pulling him to the bed, where he was forced down. Doc was beside him a second later, holding him, hungry and eager. He smirked and started nibbling at the horn again, speaking between tastes. "You better get used to this." Kittyintheraiyn "Eee~" D squealed when Doc grabbed him, the piece in his mouth melted slowly and the taste lingered as he was pressed into the mattress. He didn't mind the treatment but only squirmed because he wanted to reach his mate's horns once for just another taste, lingering at the back of his mind was the thought that he could easily become addicted to it. honey.roasted.ferrets It took a lot of strength to pull away from his horn. But it was starting to wear away quickly, and Murdoc didn't want to make him completely hornless... Not for D's sake, but if he ate it all there wouldn't be any later. He didn't mind D licking his though, it made him shiver and grin. It was odd, he felt... happy. Not just amused or content, but happy. Drunk even. Maybe it was the taste, maybe the ritual its self left him wanting to grin like an idiot and roll around in the grass. He hid it though, he didn't want D to see him being giddy. That'd be ******** creepy. He let himself smirk slightly though, and he laid there beside him, his arm wrapped around D's waist, with the other paw stroking his bruised cheek where he had slapped him. "...Ah, sorry." Kittyintheraiyn D was showing his giddiness enough for the both of them, giggling softly, he would have hardly noticed if Doc let himself smile, but it was because as soon as he was able he was leaning up and licking Doc's horn again, just a few times before relaxing back into the bed and into Murdoc's embrace. D still grinned, he hardly felt the sting anymore and he shook his head bringing his own paw up to cup Doc's, "I fink," he started, remembering what was said previously, "you do deserve it, me too. No regrets." honey.roasted.ferrets He stared at the other male for a moment then grunted deeply. He wanted to argue and tell him he was a dumbass, but was drunk enough that he didn't want to ruin the mood. So he just shut him up by kissing him. His paw moved to join the other one at his waist, holding him tightly and rubbing his back. He could feel the connection... Like a sixth sense, a sensation they could only share together. Perhaps later it'd freak him out, he'd be annoyed by D's giggles, maybe he'd even hit him again. But for now he was gentle and loving. Well, as much as Murdoc could be. Which still wasn't that great. Kittyintheraiyn It was more than D had ever wanted, but now that he had it he couldn't think of reason, a situation, a force of nature that could make him give it up. He though he could hear Murdoc's voice arguing against it, the words grumbled in that deep and gravel tone, but he ignored even that thought though, as he was kissed and held, it silenced his giggles and his wayward thoughts. He could feel the connection and it was almost better then the kiss they shared, maybe it was better because it would last though the good times and the bad times. D tilted his head and enjoyed the kiss, his own paws moving to grip at his dark fur and leaned in and wrapped his arms around Murdoc's neck. honey.roasted.ferrets Murdoc nuzzled his chin against D's head for a few moments, holding him tightly still. He laid like that for awhile, the buzz slowly starting to wear down. His mind was clearer now, and he wasn't quite as giddy. More himself. The 'romantic' moment had passed, and Doc was more himself now. He let go of his mate and sat up, leaning against the wall. He blinked down at D for a moment then chuckled roughly. "No one will notice your bruises now. With your horn half gone." Kittyintheraiyn D sat up slowly, his head was spinning slightly, "Hmm?" he questioned, blinking, his paw came up and he gingerly touched the horn and his eyes widened. Then he smiled and pulled himself all the way up leaning against the one he loved and giving him one last lick for the moment, then he sat back and regarded him and pointed at Murdoc's head, "Well, it's not as much bot yer missin' a good bit too, who cares wot they notice." He let himself smirk and then, "I'm sure we freak out all those traditional types, yea?" honey.roasted.ferrets Murdoc laughed loudly but shortly, then reached over and snatched him up and forced him into his lap, where he nibbled roughly at his ear fin. "Damn strait, mate." Odd, a double meaning now! His claws danced over D's ribs. "Want to go visit Xiang?" Kittyintheraiyn D let his chuckle rumble in his chest as he leaned into Murdoc, just touching him was somehow different, he nodded, agreeing readily, yea defiantly addicted. D wouldn't be the first to move though he was over loaded on sensations at the moment, trying not to giggle at the tickling, still tasting the flavor of his band mate on his tongue, and trying to picture the expression on the femmy flammer at the same time, "So long as we don't stick around for tea, I couldn't stomach that nasty stuff now if I tried." honey.roasted.ferrets Doc smirked. He had been joking but now the idea was appealing... He smirked and continued to tickle him, his nails digging into his skin slightly. "Do you really want to go?" Kittyintheraiyn D squirmed and chuckled trying to escape the tickling and not giggle like a little girl in the process. "Ah, eeeeeh, I fought, ahh, it's be, funn~." He attempted to tickle Doc back and explain the idea, but he couldn't past the mirth bubbling from him, and he'd stay or go either way, content to let Murdoc lead. honey.roasted.ferrets Doc grinned and threw D over his shoulder, giving the base of his tail a hard pat. "Let's go then." He wiggled to the edge of the bed then stood, all the while carrying D. "Think he'll piss himself?" All the while walking, starting down the stairs. Kittyintheraiyn Thrown over Doc's shoulder D let his arms hang and his forehead bounce against dark fur as he caught his breath, he giggled just a little more then wiggled in attempt to be more comfortable in this position, he though about trying to tickle Murdoc again, but didn't, he didn't want to drop the both of them down the stairs if indeed his dark mate was more ticklish than he let on. "I fink so, bot ye never know, he could actually be in a good mood, fer once." honey.roasted.ferrets Doc was out the door before he replied, ignoring Yuki's dumbstruck look from the couch. "Well, I hope he pisses. It'd be funnier than him being all..." His tone went high, an obvious mocking tone. "Oh I'm so happy for you two, isn't that lovely~ Let me puke daises and rainbows at yoouuu~" He even flicked his paw. Kittyintheraiyn D grinned wide and waved at Yuki on the couch, then pointed at his horn, on the wrong side, but that didn't matter, then up at Murdoc and waved again as they went out the door. He laughed hard, at the impression and again dropped his head, he felt less dizzy that way. He didn't have a clue why Murdoc enjoyed carrying him like a sack of potatoes, but he really couldn't bring himself to mind it all that much, he stared at the snowy ground and Murdoc's tail as they traveled the short distance to Xiang's cave.
