Ashe lay on the ground under a candy cane tree, eyes closed and breathing deeply. She was sleeping the morning away, having been awake through the night reading. She had been exhausted when dawn came--but deliciously satisfyed to finally finish the book her father had loaned her. It had been a very interesting read but it had tired her.
She had asked permission to leave the house so she could sleep in the nice warm day. She managed to get far enough away to not be disturbed by her family before finally surrendering to sleep. So there she lay, sleeping soundly in the comfortable shade, her little companion curled around her protectively.

Morning found Fiara doing what she liked best, after eating something yummy and melting things to amuse her brothers, she ran. The tiny flame on her paw flickered but did not go out, I must find something fun to do today, someone to meet, someone to have an adventure with~
Her thoughts were jangled in her head as she went swiftly, amusing herself by launching her lithe form into the air and willing her wings to hold her aloft, only to come sailing down again, she had not quite gotten the hang of it yet, but it didn't keep her from trying and it was fun!
So as she went along she put much distance behind her and traveled to an area of Numa land that she had not see before. Stumbling to a stop Fiara panting loudly took in the sight around her, "These trees are so weird," she spoke aloud and wandered up to one, sniffing it and then leaning it to taste it and that was when she spotted the bright green female with her tongue out, "Oh hullo~" she called tree tasting all but forgotten, her voice was loud and cheerful for she hadn't quite noticed that the other was sound asleep in the shade.

Ashe herself did not wake up to the other pup's greeting, her little companion did. Raising a small head he blinked sleepily, catching sight of the other pup coming toward them both. With a yawn he nudged Ashe until she woke, mumbling to herself, "Whaaat isss it?" She mumbled, blinking bleary eyes.
She was a bit grumpy, having only just managed to sleep for three to four hours. "Mm?" She rumbled, seeing the other pup again, with a large yawn-revealing all of her teeth and stretching her tongue out, she sat up and stretched a bit, "....Oh, kweh hello..." She greeted, smiling sleepily but with a pleasant attitude. She wouldn't be rude to another just because she hadn't gotten a decent amount of sleep.

Having crouched down near the sleepy green pup, Fiara got a good look and the creature that adorned the female's head, she resisted the urge to reach out and touch it. She backed up a step and smiled thinking that this pup was a late riser and might need extra encouragement if she was to convince the other to adventure with her.
Fiara opened her mouth to introduce herself and chide the other about sleeping the day away when she remembered where she'd heard that little sound before, "Good morning~ I'm Fi - ohhh are you related to Lore?" Her eyes went wide with her happy smile and she wiggled in place with restless energy.

Ashe smiled back, vaguely amused. Did the little pup want to touch Coatl? Well, Coatl might not like it but if the little pup asked nicely, she was sure he would agree, however reluctantly.
Ashe blinked in surprise, "Lore?" She repeated, cocking her head to the side, "Yesss, he isss kweh my brother." She replied smiling, "You've kweh met him, I asssume?" She grimaced dramatically, "I hope he hasss kweh not tarnissshed the kweh family for you." She chuckled softly, placing a paw against her mouth to quiet herself.
Blinking at the other benginly she continued, "Isss your kweh name only "Fi"?" She asked, smiling a bit, "I am kweh Assshe. Assshe Quetzal." She looked up at her companion, "Thisss isss kweh Coatl."

Fiara flushed slightly, "Oh no, Fiara is my full name, I just had to many words wanting out in one moment. It's very nice to meet you Ashe." Fiara tried to emphasize the 's' sound but it didn't quite come out as a hiss and she continued. "Lore and I had an adventure together just the other day, he was very fun to play with, so no tarnishment." While she spoke her eyes would flick between Ashe's and Coatl's, the creature was extremely interesting with it's bright feathers, "Nice to meet you too Coatl." She spoke to it not knowing if he would understand or not but wanting to know she couldn't contain herself.
With a laugh she asked "Where did you find such an interesting pet?"

Ashe smiled, "Ah, then kweh hello Fiara," She greeted, bobbing her head. Tilting her head to the side she smiled again, "Ah, I ssssee." She answered, unsure of how to respond. What little she had known of her younger yellow brother was not as pleasant as it could be, but siblings were allowed to disagree, weren't they? " I am kweh glad you have kweh fun playing with him." She continued, smiling.
Ashe's smile widened, "Do you kweh like him?" She asked, "I'm kweh sssure if you asssked kweh politely, he'll let you kweh touch him." She offered. Her little snake hissed noncommitably, "He ssayss it'sss kweh nice to meet you too."
Tilting her head to the side she shrugged, "I did not kweh find him. He hasss kweh alwayss been with me." Another shrug, she had never really thought about his significance, Coatl had merely always been here.

"I hope we have fun playing too, Ashe." Fiara settled a bit.
"Oh, really?" Soft awe colored her voice, she understood how things could always be there and didn't ponder further on where he had come from, "Would you mind Coatl, you look so shiny and soft. I like you very much already." Fiara held up her right paw, finger extended and the flame flickered in the breeze.
Indeed things that were always there were something that didn't really need thought, Jayce her littlest brother had a skull mask and she and her other brother were both lit by flames of quite a different nature than their fiery fathers own. Different from each others' too she was sure, but had not tested fully.

Ashe nodded, smiling and inclining her head. Coatl sighed audibly and unwound enough to reach out to the little midnight-sky pup, grasping onto her paw's toes with his small hands. His tongue flicked out to lick her paw and he seemed mildly amused. Ashe hissed something to him and with a bit of reluctance, he unwound from his mistress, clinging only to the other pup's paw.
Ashe smiled at the two, at least Coatl was finally getting out to socialize, he was always with her so only met those she met. This of course, had absolutely nothing to do with anything at the moment. Ashe was already feeling a bit lonely though.

Fiara continues to smile as the snakey moves from his mistress to her arm, she sits back on her haunches and carefully pets the length of the little coatl from the feathers on his head to the feathers on his tail, "Oh I was right, your scales are so smooth~" she giggles and scratches under his chin before holding him out to Ashe.
"Thank you Ashe, Coatl you are both very kind to tame my curiosity," she made a show of biting her tongue, "Mommydaddy says that I shouldn't ask rude questions, but sometimes I really wanna know something and I don't mean to be rude, does that make sense?"

Coatl hissed softly, grazing the tips of the midnight-pup's paws with his red tongue.
"He isss kweh ssaying thank you for the kweh compliment." Explained Ashe softly, taking him back. Immediately he wound his way about her again, protective and grateful to be back in his proper place.
"It isss kweh no problem," Replied Ashe calmly, smiling at the other pup, "Curiossity isss kweh a very good thing to kweh have." Ashe grinned, "Isssn't it kweh fun to ssatisssfy it?" She giggled, "I have done much kweh of the sssame." She nodded agreement to Fiara, "Indeed! And your quessstion wasss kweh not rude at all, we rather kweh enjoyed thisss experience, did we kweh not, Coatl?" The green snake hissed something noncommital.
"Ssso everything isss fine," She finished, waving a paw, "There isss kweh no harm done, and both kweh of usss managed to ssatissfy sssomething today, kweh yesss?"

"I guess so, what I've been told is confusing, I'm glad that you don't think it's rude to ask questions. How am I supposed to learn anything if I can't ask things?" Fiara was happy to find that this female pup was so nice and easy going, being surrounded by males all the time was, annoying.
"So," she settled down on her belly near Ashe, she leaned to one side and rested her head on her left paw, the shade was nice and she was a little tired from all the running she had done this day, "What do you and Coatl like to do for fun?"

Ashe blinked, "Apologiesss, then?" She replied, unsure of how to answer to such a statement. She waved off the other statement, "If one kweh does not ask quesstionsss one kweh cannot learn." She replied and shrugged her shoulders dismissively.
Ashe looked down at the pup, who had lain on the grass and decided to mimic her, hoping she owuldn't fall asleep as a consequence, "What do we kweh like to do?" She repeated, rubbing her itchy cheek with a paw, "Oh, many kweh thingsss." She waved a paw, "We kweh like to explore, kweh we like to read, and kweh many thingsss." She shrugged again, "We are kweh ssstill learning about thisss kweh world after all." She tilted her head to look at her, "And you?" She asked, "What do you kweh like to do?"

Fiara blinked as she took that in, was that what her fiery father was trying to keep her from, maybe, "That's a good idea, and if I asked in a polite way then he couldn't get upset with me for asking the stuff I wanna know." She nodded with a smile. "You're very smart Ashe."
"That sounds fun, as for me I like to run, I like to explore, I like to try and fly though I haven't made it off the ground for very long just yet." The pup was animated when she spoke her wings twitched and fluttered as if they wanted off the ground just as much as the midnight pup did.
"I also do like spending time with my brothers even if they can be annoying." Fiara stifled a yawn with her paw, "Oh excuse me."

Ashe blinked and flushed a bit at the compliment, "Ah...kweh Thank you..." She waved a paw dissmissively, "But I'm kweh sssure you could have figured it kweh out on your own." She smiled back hesitantly, unused to compliments outside of her family.
"Fly?" Ashe blinked, a bit surprised, "I kweh...I actually have really triedto kweh fly yet." She flushed darker at the admission. She truly hadn't really thought about it and probably couldn't yet, seeing as she was only a pup. And who could blame her? She grew up among males mostly, except for Kechara, but Kechara was far too shy to teach her.
Ashe shrugged, "I haven' kweh ssseen my brothersss much," She answered, "They are kweh alwaysss off with othersss." She copied the others yawn automatically, "Ah,it isss kweh fine..." She answered, "I am kweh tired assss well."
