Thea shrugged. "He'll probably either try to tear the two of them apart, or he'll try to convince Ari that splitting isn't allowed." She paused. "I don't know the specifics of what happened, but I do know that Anja had a long talk with Kazuki about it, and the Moon Fox granted her permission. I think," Thea blinked, surprised at herself. "Would you like to come visit, Rina? I'm sure Ari would love to see you. Plus, you can then assess the damage yourself," She smiled. She hoped that seeing his sister would help Ari...

((Did the Moon Fox really say it was okay? >.< ))
Rina could understand both of the two tactics. She herself was not quite sure such a split was allowed.
Although if it supposedly had the blessing of the Higher Being of that tribe, that was an entirely different matter.
"Truly? Pardon if I am wrong, but is not one of the core ideas of the tribe that the Moon Fox hardly even interferes in the lives of modifoxes, even in matters of importance? While I see how this matter could be considered important, why would the Moon Fox bother to interfere in such a case? I have not heard of any other answers from the Higher Being of your tribe, so why start communication now, over this matter?
"Or have there been other messages, of which I am unaware?"
From what brother had said, one of the main ideas of the tribe was the distance of the Higher Being: it was mostly up to the modifoxes themselves to lead their lives, with a minimum of divine interference. Peace, calm, tranquility, and distance: those were the words she could best think of to describe the Lunarie Tribe.
Yet now, it seemed their very Higher Being was going counter to the very ideas of the tribe itself, leaving Rina terribly confused.

Thea sighed to herself. "I do not know the Moon Fox's thinking, I do not judge the Moon Fox's actions," She had to bite her tongue to keep from adding a snippy comment. "I am not sure of other messages, or if there have been any." She replied, somewhat icily. Why was Rina getting so hot and bothered over this? It wasn't her tribe, she shouldn't be concerned.

((Okay, PLE and I had a talk, and the Moon Fox speaking through Kazuki thing never happened. So, as it never happened, I'm going to pretend that it was never brought up here, 'kay? So the following post is going to be a bit..."off topic" I guess you could say.))
Rina laid there, silent for a while. Here she was, asking Thea one question after another about matters in the Lunarie Tribe, just using Thea for the information she had. Rina was beginning to feel guilty about that, and tried to think of something else she could change the conversation to.
Of course, it would be much easier if she were to simply go visit brother and his tribe herself, yet she could not help but feel as if she were trespassing whenever she stepped onto tribe land. And now, as an Elder...It was a foolish feeling, yet Rina could not help but feel as if they might not regard her as challenging the tribe, and its leadership.
If perhaps she could meet brother off of the tribe lands, she would feel less awkward, but she had little hope for such a meeting. The tribe sounded to be his life, and she could not remember the last time she had heard of him leaving the tribe lands.
No chance for good byes, then.
Not as though it truly mattered; she had said those the first time, and they were not necessary again. No, what needed to be said between them now was 'hello'.
Although these thoughts were not helping the conversation between herself and Thea any.
"It is a beautiful night," Rina finally settled on. Weak, pathetic, and cliched, but she could think of nothing better to say.

Thea let the Elder think, and she used the time to calm herself down. "Indeed it is," She agreed, rather lamely. "Perhaps, if I don't seem bold, you could come visit the tribe and find these things --and more, probably-- out for yourself?" Thea had acted on impulse, but it seemed like the right thing to do.

"Perhaps..."
The invitation had been offered, and Rina could not quite find the words to turn it down. She could barely understand her own hesitation toward visiting the tribes of other's; how could she possibly phrase it so Thea could understand?
The answer, of course, that she could not, and so unless Rina could think of some different excuse, there was little she could do to escape.
She wished now that it was day--then, at least, she could protest the hour, and state that the rest of the tribe would be asleep.
"If the tribe is in as much chaos as you say, what guarantee is there that brother will be available?"
A weak excuse, yet the only one she could think of. Brother was her main reason to visit the tribe, and if she could not speak with him, then the trip would feel wasted, and pointless.

Thea shrugged. She didn't understand the Elder's obvious hesitation, but didn't confront her about it. "I'm sure he could make time for you. You are his sister after all. Plus, I think things are starting to settle back to normal," She said contednely, resting her head on her paws again.

"If you believe that to be true..." Rina repressed a sigh.
"Come, let us go, then," she said abruptly, rising and walking in the direction of the territory of the Lunarie Tribe.
She found herself both hoping that brother would be there, and able to see her, and that he would be away, or too busy, to have a moment in which to speak with her. Rina tried to not focus on her conflicting wishes, and instead on keeping her mind on the path she walked.
Her differing hopes would do her no good. Hoping for something would in no way make it come to pass. The only way to find which was right was to go to brother, and find out for herself.

Thea blinked at the sudden briskness, but stood and followed.
A few minutes later, the came to the edge of the border, which Thea hopped over easily. "Come. He's probably around here somewhere."

There was nothing to differentiate one side of the border from the other. Trees grew on both sides, and looked identical. Yet Rina knew exactly where the border lay; she ought to know by now, from all of the time she had spent here, before it had even become tribal lands.
It was foolish to hesitate over something so insubstantial, intangible, that could not even be seen. Something that she held purely in her mind. Yet she did hesitate, standing and staring at the precise location of the border for a moment, before tentatively stepping over it a moment later.
Nothing happened. The rational part of her had been expecting that. The other part, the part that said she ought not be here, was taken by surprise. She could feel her heart beating faster within her chest, as that irrational part waited for some punishment for trespassing.
She tried as best she could to ignore it, and instead forged forward.
"Brother?" she softly called out. "Brother, are you here?" She managed to make her voice louder on the second try, yet it was still nothing that could be heard much distance from where she stood. It was a bare step up from speaking level. Yet she could not manage more.

Thea smiled softly to herself as she easily ran through the trees, coming to the the clearing, where Ari would probably be. Sure enough, there he was, under the tree where he always was. He didn't look asleep, so Thea approached him, her tail flicking behind her. "Ari? I'm deeply sorry if I'm interrupting, but you havea visitor. Your sister, Rina." She couldn't help but hold her breath for his reaction. "Se seemed a bit nervous about visiting," She added, shrugging. "She's this way, if you have time to talk to her." She said, taking a deep breath. Thea, being quiet, wasn't used to talking this much, yet here she was, prattling on. Maybe she was getting sick.

((It doesn't much matter in this case, as I was planning on Rina and Ari eventually seeing each other again, but finding characters who haven't been posted for yet in an RP does sort of fall under RPing another's character. Something to keep in mind for next time. 3nodding ))
Ari gave a short appreciative nod to Thea. Normally he would have noticed Thea's sudden talkativeness. But instead his whole attention was focused on who the carer had brought with her.
"Rina..." Ari rose, and moved towards his sister. He couldn't see her that well, as she was still hidden in the forest. Even with the shadows, though, he could see that she how much taller she was than Thea. So, she was an elder now? He had heard rumors of quite a few new tribes, but he had no idea that one of them was run by his sister.
"Congratulations. Which tribe is yours?"
"I am now the elder of the Gypsy Clan." A soft pride suffused her voice as she thought of her clan; her head raised from staring at the ground to nearly meeting brother's eyes. Nearly. While small, it was everything she could possibly desire. Loyal members, hardworking, and dutiful. What more could any elder wish from his or her members?
She felt as if she ought to add more, yet she could not think of what. Rina's tail curled over her feet, held tight to her body. Her gaze returned to the ground, as she tried to think of what next. Brother seemed so gladdened to see her, yet all she could feel was awkward.
It was foolish, and pointless, to still be feeling this way, and yet there was nothing to be done for it. She wished for something to break the one-sided tension.

((Gah, I realized that about half-way through and didn't really feel like going back and blahblahblah. Dx -can't make coherent words-))
Thea respectfully stepped back and let the Elders talk, she didn't want to interrupt. Bedsides, this gave her time to think, which was really the reason she had wandered from the tribe in the first place. However, her thoughts were interrupted by the mention of the Gypsy Clan; something had just come to her memory. "Errr, I don't mean to interrupt, but have you heard or seen of two foxes named Vitani and Vitali? They left our family's cave about two weeks ago. I was told to be on the lookout for anyone that might know them." She blurted, immediately feeling the color rise in her cheeks. "Um, I'll just be quiet now," She muttered, looking at the ground bashfully.

((Makes sense to me.))
"Why do you believe that I would have had word of those two modifoxes?"
Indeed she had, yet she wished to hear Thea's answer before giving her own reply. There were those who did not understand the need to wander, and wished to attempt to tie modifoxes to one place. She and brother had had a few conversations like those, before she had left on her own wanderings.
Perhaps it was more innocuous concern that prompted Thea to speak. In either case, though, what answer Rina would give depended on how Thea answered Rina's own question.
Ari looked over at Rina, wondering how she would react to that question. She seemed guarded, and he knew the reason why. Those talks--arguments, almost--that they had had when they were younger.
He still found himself wishing that his sister could have joined his tribe, instead of wandering around for such long periods of time. She was calm enough and distant enough to fit into Lunarie, after all. But she was not nocturnal, and did not worship the Moon Fox. Really, 'calm and distant' could just as easily make her a good candidate for Kousetsu (if you were to ignore the fact that she didn't have any particular love for snow, no more so than she cared for the moon and night).
Still, he couldn't help but have his wishes and dreams about what might have been.

Thea tilted her head. "I simply know that you wander, as do they. I just want to make sure that they...haven't, you know, died or something." She shrugged. "No one wished them to leave, but everyone understood why. There were no arguments."
