It was a good thing Jay couldn't see the near-miss with Arezu, because he probably would have grinned and laughed. Not otu of spite, or to be mean, but out of good natured spirit, though it likely wouldn't have helped the awkwardness at all. PJ lightly wagged his tail as he went from the uncertain Gekkit, to Chima. "Hey yeah, that's true! I'm not sure whether Jay would go in another, he seemed to kinda enjoy that one but not that much, but we could always go ourselves!" he realized, happy at the prospect. It didn't really occur to him to think about the repercussions of possibly making plans to just up and leave his trainer's side. Maybe because he was still so new, that the idea of even considering it was too foreign. He looked back over at Gekkit at the, admittedly fair, point, and his tail drooped some, his head tilting to the side. "Maybe..." he confessed, pawing at the air, "But maybe some of the other pokemon would be able to help us get through them, too? A lot of them are capable of human stuff!"

Not long later the group came across the midway point, where a young attendant was eagerly awaiting someone to take some prizes. Reina however, assured them she was going forward, on to the final stretch. She was aware at this point that either she'd been escorting a ghost or the young red-head had gotten beyond lost in the maze. It was best to push forward. "You heard that announcement, Reina? They're suggesting people wrap up their activties, don't you think we should just go?" Anubis mentioned. Reina waved a hand as if brushing the thought away. "Nah, I think we'll be good. These mazes aren't as hard as I thought they'd be. It didn't take much time if any to get to the midway point. We should be out before long. Besides it's not like they'd kick us out while we're in the middle of an activity." Reina replied, glancing over to Anubis with a sly side-glance. The canine seemed unsure about this, but decided not to push it any further. Once Reina made up her mind it'd take a million Alakazam to sway her from her goal. Venturing deeper into the maze, the group came across a single dead-end but then seemed to be on the proper path, as progression was going rather smoothly. Even still, it did feel a bit exciting, as in one didn't know when the next wrong turn would rear it's head. Anubis was still a bit peeved about not being able to make the progress go faster, he was sometimes such a stickler for time crunches, which made him and Reina the opposites in this case. Reina wasn't really ever worried about meeting a deadline, even if somehow she managed to never be late. It frustrated Anubis at times, but he also liked to think his lack of procrastination aided Reina in some way. Reina's hand rose suddenly, booping Anubis' nose. The canine shook his head and looked up with a frown. "You getting lost in thought now?" Reina inquired, with a smile. Anubis narrowed his gaze, but then relaxed. "Kinda." He replied. "I'm just thinking about what we're going to do after the carnival is over." He lied. Reina gave a gentle shrug. "Maybe try our hands at the Cerulean Gym?" Anubis wasn't to sure about that plan, but well... it was a plan.

When Jay asked if everything was alright, Arezu tried to shoot Hakuren a frustrated look, but the little s**t had already hightailed it out of there, Cecily in tow. "Yeah, it's fine. Hakuren and Cecily just wanted to go play some games." She would be teasing the s**t out of the furball, but it made her just uncomfortable enough to think about him having a crush on Cecily that she kept the teasing to a minimum.

"Oh, you have a sister? What's that like?" She realized afterwards, probably like having Hakuren around, or if Celebi had been around more often. Well, she didn't know what having a human sibling was like, so it still had her curious. It was kind of funny how alien the concept of having human family was, how quickly the fake memories of her parents had slid into obscurity for her.
Arezu sighed, rubbing her forehead. There was a bit of irritation in it at the amusement in Jay's voice. "Yeah, Cecily is Celebi. We just called her Celebi for a really long time and she decided about an hour ago she wanted to be called Cecily now." There was also the whole 'attempting to keep a low profile by not walking around with her bright pink celebi and rainbow maned suicune' thing. Having to start calling her friend something different just felt so wrong to her, and she was trying to get over it. Maybe she just had hangups about messing with one of the only memories she knew was real. "It, uh...calling her Celebi didn't matter much before because, you know, it's not like there's a bunch of Celebi just floating around out there."

Gekkit tilted his head thoughtfully. PJ did have a point, and now he was thinking of what he knew about the other pokemon. Niji obviously didn't count, because he was cheating. Hakuren was sort of cheating too. "Some psychic types can do just about anything. You know, I bet I could learn how to do stuff like them..." he trailed off. It was hard getting a grip on a lot of what he could do, since he hadn't been raised by others of his own species. But he felt like there was something there, something more, that was almost instinctual.
"That would be pretty cool. I wonder if Flurry or Sham can do any of that kinda stuff. Hey PJ, can your big brother Koda move stuff around with his mind?" Chima asked. He assumed Koda was PJ's 'big brother' since, well... he just assumed it.

Flurry sat on his haunches, taking a moment to pick bits of apple skin out of his teeth. Beside him Sham stood, looking at the people walking around the fair. [ "Can you stop doing that? S'making me anxious," ] Flurry murmured. It'd been easier to get along with his brother once the furball had evolved and gotten over himself. Well, except for whatever this was.
Sham flicked Flurry's head with his tail. [ "I could've sworn I saw him again. You know, the guy from the Tanabata festival." ] He was grumbling, likely due to being totally wrong about it (in Flurry's opinion).

Flurry gave Sham a much more skillful flick on the nose with his tail. [ "Don't get why you're so obsessed with that kid anyways." ] When sham turned, started to say, [ "I am not obsess-" ] Flurry flicked his tail into Sham's mouth. [ "Come on, I'm bored. Let's find Arezu," ] he said over the sounds of Sham's sputtering.
