 it's a May Basket with a crocheted daffodil in it i know it could be better ^^; but that's first May Basket i've ever made as well as the first daffodil i ever crocheted.
it took about 8-9hours in total. i'm going to make a lot more and give them to family and friends. it seems like a conversation piece to me. i am hoping if they put them in their homes that way their visitors will question it striking up a conversation about prostate cancer. sending out awareness as well as getting men out there to get examined. being someone who caught cancer early i think getting the word out there and the thought "It can happen to me." is a good thing. i like to believe in some cases there is never to early but only too late. i have talked to almost every male i know about it as well as females...they all seemed pretty uncomfortable when it came to prostate cancer. SO~i am hoping these May Baskets encourage more people to talk about it as well as other types of cancers. *nods super seriously*
...i'm rambling. it's been longer then 24 hours with no sleep for me. i've been working on this all night. most apologizes for the ramble and if anything i said makes no sense^^;

@seriously_me: XD that's awesome i love older gamers they are some of the coolest people. the oldest i know is like in his 60s and he is one awesome guy!

i'm not going to sell these. BUT all the money used for shipping would help pay for more of the materials if they do go high in demand. if not i will defiantly save them for next years May Baskets.
@mystikal_waters: there are two sites i found how to make crocheted Daffodils. i used Planet June because i was more comfortable with that style of crocheting. i hope those sites help! =D if you have any questions about any of it let me know!^^[Planet June]_____________[crochet me]

XD yea my brother and i were addicts on collecting video games and their accessories^^;;
XD i loved N64 >.> i'm more of a Nintendo girl then a PlayStation or XBOX honestly.
your mom sounds like awesome too! i've been trying to get my mom into anime. her response was "Okay...as long as it's in English. I don't want to have to read [rainbow] subtitles. It ruins what I'm trying to watch."

I sold my soul to Nintendo.. <3 Though I don't like most of the Wii. ^^'
My mom won't ever watch anime.. xD And the rainbowy/weird subtitles bother me too! Just prefer English spoken. Texts might be a bit different, but I can live with it. <3

@keynir: it's a costly addiction! i had to kick the habit because it got to costly. XD i've always had this addiction to making things. i do not call myself an artist..i call myself a creating addict
i'm not a big fan of dubbed anime i prefer subtitles.
it took me about 8hours to make it but that's the first time. judging based on the last few petals i made for the next one it shouldn't take longer then 2hours. plus i will be more awake for the next ones i make.

@keynir: nope not bad at all^^ i actually enjoy the time crocheting
i had a question about the TekTek contest. do we just submit any kind of avatar relating to that part of the story or is it the same "person" through out the contest AND do we add more text to the story you gave us?
