Spei, Squire of the Moon

Spei listened to the Code, then looked at Luxor and Pharos. "Welp, I guess we have our marching orders, don't we? It's been pleasant talking with both of you, but I need to go to my Wonder – as do we all."

He offered each of his fellow Knights a slight bow. "Be seeing you," he nodded before mentally reciting the mantra that would take him to his Wonder by the lake and disappearing.

Qingcheng, Knight of Cosmos

Looking down at the Moon Page, Qingcheng gave one last reassuring smile. "If you want anyone to come with you, I would be happy to, but I know the feeling of being overwhelmed. He stood up and gave a slight stretch, taking a half a step towards Nalanda and taking his hand. "Shall we do this together? I'm fine with doing it separately, but."

He did like doing things with his partner, even if he wasn't...the most well versed with his Wonder...with two sets of eyes...

This was something that seemed quite important...and the sooner the got it taken care of, the better.

Hy-Brasil, Transcended Knight of Earth

The Code certainly had a bite to it's way of speaking. Not that Hy was to begrudge it. In fact, she found the sassiness refreshing and more personable. It almost made her feel like they were all it's children with the sense of exasperation that seemed to exude from it at times. The smile the flitted across her face at that thought was impossible to stop.

A visit to her Wonder was never a hardship. After things had been set right a few months back, the Wonder of Hy-Brasil had become even more enjoyable since she didn't fear for her sanity being there. Quite literally.

It seemed others were beginning to filter out. The large crowd began to dwindle and Hy-Brasil took that as her own signal. The Transcended Knight, with no further questions for the Code, opted to leave the Moon and begin plans for a possible long Wonder visit.

Lupu, Knight of Saturn

Now, Lupu hadn’t really expected Michel to act happy to see him, but the fact that Necro was here too, and clearly Michel wasn’t…happy with that either, he pulled back, giving a soft, almost uncomfortable laugh.

“Wasn’t trying to stir the pot, Michel, sorry if I bugged you. We’re not.” This was a situation that was far more serious than how he was treating it, and the smile that had been on his face faded. “Sorry.”

He said again and reaching out to clasp Necro’s wrist, moved a good few feet away from the other Squire Knight. Hopefully he was just jumpy and unhappy that his magic was being stupid and that nothing was working and it wasn’t…personal...but if it was…

What did it matter?

He fell quiet as the Code spoke and looked at Necro, shrugging. “Should we go adventure to find our code pieces? I’m happy to go with you.” Raising his voice slightly, he glanced to Michel. “You too, if you want company. No pressure though. I know you like to be alone.”

Or at least away from the riff raff that was him. He had no idea where his code piece might be, but…he was sure he could find it, and could help Necro find his as well. ANd…they would fix all of this.

Stirling, Knight of Lysithea

Stirling was quiet, but slightly shook her head at his question. She didn’t elaborate until the Code had given a breakdown of what they were meant to do. She could go home, and in doing so…she could fix all of this. Dering wouldn’t have to worry about his lute breaking anymore, her rapier wouldn’t continue to be like some rubber novelty toy, and she could go home. That was the most important takeaway she had gotten from all of this, and after letting everything get…mostly settled in her mind, she looked to Dering and gave an apologetic smile.

“...I’m not used to crowds anymore…and I just…I guess I’m really trying not to freak out…Do you want to do this together? We can go up to your Wonder first if you want, I want to make sure your lute gets better, I know you really love it. And I love it too! Besides…you have a forest, so it might take a while to find your code piece, having both of us might be best?”

Her eyes were stinging slightly and she reached a hand up to rub at them before tentatively holding a hand out to Dering.

“Shall we go help save the world…or whatever?”

Sava, Knight of Cosmos

Sava gave a soft laugh and hugged Einhornhohle tightly before letting her go and listening to what the Code had to say. “Look, they’re just big words, Ein. It means we have to go to our Wonders and find our Code Pieces, would you like to come with me? Make a date out of it?”

She gave a wink and then chuckled softly. “I’d be happy to go with you so you don’t have to do it alone. I’m sure…I mean, if we’re being given this task to go and find it, I can’t see that it wouldn’t be making it easy. Right now the Code needs our help, so why would it make us struggle to help it? That’s extremely counterproductive, at least to my thoughts.”

Reaching out, Sava took hold of Ein’s hand and squeezed it. “Sava first, then onto Ein? Let's use me as a guinea pig, yeah?”

Whisler, Knight of Polaris

There were all good questions that both Starlight and Newgrange had, but he nodded at them both. “Yeah. I can take you both…that shouldn’t be a problem, and if the Code is going to make sure that we can get to our wonders, I can and will take you both right now, if you’re ready?”

He was ready. He had never…found his Code piece, but…he wouldn’t be unhappy to find it. There was still so much to explore in his Wonder, and finding the Code piece…would hopefully be easy.

When others started leaving, Whistler took hold of Starlight and Newgrange’s hand and gave them both a smile. “Up we go. Let’s hope the Code is keeping his word.

At the very least, when he said the words to take him up to his wonder…they all vanished.

Niflhel, Knight of Saturn

Niflhel had heard the code, he sighed and nodded understanding what he needed to do. He'd have to go home first, get the cat. He'd want some help and perhaps Snowball could act as an extra set of eyes and perhaps someone to keep him company while looking. Merlin would be in good hands at home he'd make sure before leaving the pup so that no one would look for him for a while. He sighed and headed off. "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised." He said as he walked away listening to the code speak about how the damage was already done and it didn't think there'd be fresh disruptions in a blink Niflhel knew he'd be back home.

Not pausing too long to think about the code being lost to the negaverse, he didn't need that sort of negativity floating in his mind right now.

[Niflhel Exit]

Odainsaker, Squire of Cosmos

Odainsaker didn't know really what to do she stood there listening to the code talk about the damage was already done and that they shouldn't see any further disruptions just the after-effects but there was always a chance it could happen again. She shifted softly as she listened about the other pieces of code and how they were dormant.

Also about the academy and the code was lost to the negaverse. If that happened - would they survive? The normally cheerful squire, full of whimsy frowned a bit not trying to hide her concerns though she knew the code said she'd have to keep a brave face on when she went.

She was watching others leave as the code dismissed them but she stayed back looking around. She hadn't been to her wonder before nor had she much knowledge on what to do. She moved closer to the code at least for now.

She stopped when she was what she had hoped was close enough that the code didn't need to over-extend itself anymore than it already had. "What if I've never been to my wonder? I mean, I know I've probably let you down but I've not had anyone to go with or well I guess I've just never seen a reason until now." She shifted looking towards the orb of light, "Are you able to like come with me in some shape or way - or is the only way to find the piece on my wonder?"

Odain knew she was asking for a lot when she was asking if the code could come with her. . . though she wasn't sure if someone else would over hear her and offer to help her either.

Mont Saint Michel, Knight of Saturn
    (With Lupu and Necromanteion)

Michel raised a brow at Lupu, somewhat surprised by this reaction. He was so used to Lupu needling him, trying to get under his skin. So what was that reaction about, hadn't he gotten what he wanted? He was instantly suspicious.

The way Lupu drew back, the way he laughed awkwardly? How was he not trying to stir the pot, wasn't he always trying to bug Michel? He acted just like a spoiled little brother would, and Michel wasn't surprised because that was exactly what Lupu had been from the day they'd met.

And yet, Lupu stood there without his confidence, practically hiding behind Necro. All the good spirit in him was gone so quickly. Michel clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth and shrugged.

"You're acting weird. If you've got something going on, you better fess up. "

And if Lupu didn't, he looked at Necro expectantly, too.

Dering, Squire of Lysithea
    (With Stirling)

Dering stood still but he was squirming internally the whole time he waited for Stirling's answer. He listened to the Code, and the questions of those around them, but he'd have been lying if he claimed that his attention wasn't almost entirely fixed on her as he worried.

Her apologetic smile just hurt his heart. She didn't have to be sorry for anything.

Dering wasn't really one to argue or push back or offer his own ideas. He was quick to agree, partly because it was just in his nature, and partly because he was worried about how wet her eyes looked right now.

If she wasn't doing well around crowds, he wanted to make sure she could get out of this one as quickly as possible. "Um, yeah! We can go up to Dering. But, um--are you sure you don't want to go to Stirling, first? I know you've missed it..."

And maybe she'd feel better if she could just see that it was okay!

Stirling, Knight of Lysithea

Stirlnig gave Dering a look that was filled with appreciation. “I want to help you at Dering first…when we go to Stirling, I think I’m going to end up staying there, so…it just…seems better to help you out first? If that doesn’t sound too selfish…I mean…”

She drew in a slow breath and then smiled, the expression wobbling just a bit. “I think…the silence and peace of your forest would be…good right now.” Honestly, Stirling didn’t want to just come out and say it, but she would rather be anywhere else but here right this moment.

The peace of a closet would be good right now, and even as she saw some people leaving…the Moon was still far too crowded.

Dering, Squire of Lysithea
    (Exiting with Stirling)

“Oh–no, that’s okay. Um. Right, I can–we can go now,” he said.

He felt a little scrambled because he wasn’t planning on going to his Wonder now, but if it was what Stirling wanted, he wasn’t going to fight it. She looked like she was having a hard enough time already.

Nervously, he tugged at the front of his tunic. He was sure their friends were here, and he had a little pang of regret for not at least being able to wave to them, but they’d catch up later.

He hoped his Wonder would be kind to them.

Dering reached out and took her hand. “It’ll be okay,” he promised.

He took a moment to clear his mind, and from there it was just muscle memory as he whisked them off to his Wonder.

Nalanda, Knight of Cosmos
(In the general vicinity of Crisium, Qingcheng, Erytheia, and Amsvartnir.)

Nalanda somewhat envied Crisium, at least because he knew where his Code piece was. So much of being a Cosmos Knight felt like having an unspoken expectation to discover things on your own. He had been to his Wonder before, but it was a free-floating island that never seemed to show the same sky twice. He hadn’t been often enough to notice any consistency in the path it followed, nor did he recognize any constellations or planets well enough to even guess where the Wonder could be found.

He knew of the Code piece at his Wonder, only because he knew all Wonders housed them. It wasn't that it hadn’t occurred to him to look, just that it was easy to get distracted by all the other things up there. It didn’t help that every trip made things look a bit more livelier and more revitalized.

The Code seemed like it was already burning through energy it didn’t have and he was reluctant to ask for help finding the location of Nalanda’s hidden Code piece. There were clues, there had to be. He was resourceful.

“I suppose we should get started, then. I’ve got quite a lot of land to go through,” he admitted. But, Qingcheng had offered to help. Maybe that would make it go quicker.

The Code focused on Erytheia first, and contemplated for a few seconds before it answered. “Hard to say.”

It did not sound avoidant, but it took another moment to consider how to expand on the answer. “It would be like asking me how many Wonders there are. I might not know how many pieces still function, or how many have been destroyed, or how many have passed from dormancy to death. I can tell you that a Cornerstone piece has almost never been entrusted to any world that had not also been under the protection of a Royal Senshi. Those worlds that have achieved such strong bonds make the best candidates to share their strength with Knights, too. And what exists now is not a final number, anyway. My power grows. As each Knight tends to their Wonder, to their Code, more energy is generated and must eventually be harnessed. In your lifetime, do not be surprised if you live to see new Cornerstone pieces installed. I was once of Earth but had to be moved here for safety purposes. With the abundance of Chaos on Earth, it is too dangerous there. Other pieces may have been moved or hidden to protect them. Only time will tell. But I am looking for them.

When Odain spoke, the Code understood that her question was more personal. That, and her close proximity, allowed it to answer her in a quieter voice than it had been previously using. “I am surprised to hear that a Squire has never ventured to her Wonder. I will spare you a lecture. This time. But make more trips to your Wonder. You should be looking after it. It probably needs a good bit of help. Clean it up, make sure it’s safe. I am sorry that I cannot accompany you there more than just in spirit, but I will try to lead you to the Code piece there. We can speak again when you find it. I’ll wait for you there. Do you need someone to accompany you? …I am sure you will find many here willing to help.

Squire Halle of Lysithea

Briefly, Halle considered how long his Wonder could support him without supplies. He at least had a clean water source, so there was that. But he wasn't sure if any of the plants or creatures there were safe to eat, let alone provide enough nutrition to keep him going long enough. It was something...to experiment with. Later, after things had settled down.

"Yeah, that'd be a good idea. There's other situations where we may have to ride things out in space, too." Like if there was something involving chaos that took awhile, and maybe extra hands, to deal with. Or if something happened on Earth...

He'd rather not think too much about that sort of thing, honestly.

Watching was Halle was already internally calling The Girl Gang, he turned to Lisse and nodded. "Yeah, she's in good hands with Mechelen and her friend." He had a feeling that was the one she'd become a page with, there was a natural...fitting-togetherness there. "We'll get through mine first. Who knows? Maybe they're similar."

For a moment he considered going back to Earth first, spend a day getting new supplies and bringing it up with them. Just in case. But he'd rather get this done tonight, with the Code's help still fresh and the both of them powered up and ready.

Hooking elbows with his twin, Halle gave his oath and the two of them disappeared.
